Mitt Romney held a campaign event Monday evening at a Miami juice shop owned by a convicted cocaine trafficker.
Romney appeared at El Palacio de los Jugos, which is owned by Reinaldo Bermudez. Court records show that Bermudez pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine in 1999 and served three years in federal prison.
Yeah I remember the right wing cries of Bill Ayers! Bill Ayers!
Obama sits in the living room with Ayers and he’s labeled a terrorist. So then in right wing logic, Romney campaigning in juice shop owned by drug dealer makes him a dealer too, amiright???
BTW Chips, Twitter is lighting up with this one … and folk are focusing on the fact that that dude was smuggling more than a ton of the snorts when he & his pals were busted … probably put a little dint in one of Trump’s parties
Look who Willard’s palling around with—-a convicted Columbian drug smuggler! Anyone in the media reporting on this? Asking any questions? Digging into this association of a suporter of ill repute? Anyone? Crickets? And if it were Obama, it would be blasting from all outlets, tape running 24/7.
That is because, this is exactly the kind of stuff the GOP focuses on. Distractions. Because, their policies suck.
Democrats don’t push this shit onto the scene. They just don’t. Maybe they should start?

This is a technique known as “damning with faint praise.” It is so much more effective than coming out now and criticizing him right up front. The President says this, then he can go on and critique what he says, but never attack the person. Over a period of time, it is extremely effective. “He’s a nice guy, but…….”
Moreover, when republicans demonize President Obama, they look small and petty in comparison. This kind of thing is important for independants and low-info voters.
Romney was a good man too if you remember. The president is most effective in the counter attack. He cannot launch a wild eyed preemptive attack on Ryan it looks off. Instead he praises him and wait for him, as they all do, to think PBO weak. Let him attack PBO until everyone is practically begging for PBO to do something. Then bam! A righteous counter attack that is as fierce as it is sweet.
All his opponents have faced it, and you would think future one would learn from past mistake. Problem is republicans seem to hate history lessons so they fall for it every time.

This took place at the cheaper fundraiser where tickets started at $51. She made a point of saying that too. Implying that even with cheap tickets Pres.Obama can’t get people to come to his events.

Congressman Paul Ryan is the poster boy for the extreme Republican leadership in a Congress whose overall approval rating is 12 percent. His plan to dismantle Medicare is deeply unpopular with the general public, and especially undecided voters.
You might be wondering why the hell Romney picked this guy. But this is a strategic pick that carries real danger for us.
Here’s the calculation: Mitt Romney doesn’t need or expect Paul Ryan to convince even one undecided voter to cast their ballot for him. That’s not what he’s on the ticket for. He’s there to reassure and inspire ultraconservative ideologues and corporate interests that they will have one of their own a heartbeat from the presidency.
That means tens or even hundreds of millions more dollars for the Romney campaign and the array of outside groups supporting him — and if current trends hold, more than 90 percent of that money will be spent on TV ads — lying, distorting and trashing Barack Obama. Those ads will have more impact on undecided voters than anything Paul Ryan himself does or says.
Mitt Romney is convinced that picking Paul Ryan is a great investment for him. And his campaign is already touting the pledges and donations they’ve received as a result, with fundraising events planned for this week.
We’re already being outraised, and we can’t afford to fall further behind. Now is the time to take your commitment to the next level.

GOP concerned Ryan could cost party House and Senate seats
By Cameron Joseph and Alexandra Jaffe
——————————————————
Republicans strategists are worried that Rep. Paul Ryan’s (R-Wis.) addition to the presidential ticket will cost their party House and Senate seats this fall.
Their concern: Democrats will successfully demonize Ryan’s budget plan, which contains controversial spending cuts and changes to Medicare.
.
.
While few Republicans said having Ryan on the ticket would help them, they argued they can neutralize the budget issue by attacking Democrats for cutting $700 billion from Medicare in their healthcare reform law.
The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) circulated a memo to lawmakers and candidates on Monday, obtained by The Hill, that they say offers a road map for winning the debate over Ryan’s proposal.
It calls for candidates to follow the model the party used to win an open seat in Nevada last summer in which now-Rep. Mark Amodei (R-Nev.) hammered his Democratic opponent on the spending cuts.
The main focus of such a strategy, according to a slideshow and video circulated by NRCC Political Director Mike Shields, is to stay on the offense and tie Democrats to Obama’s healthcare law, an argument Republicans believe they can win.
There is no way for Republicans to spin away Democrat Kathy Hochul’s victory in New York’s deeply red 26th congressional district. This is a big setback for Paul Ryan’s budget and a warning for Republican incumbents everywhere. This is simply not a district a Republican should have lost. Conservative overreach has clearly woken up Democrats and has gone down badly with independents.”
Besides, while their zombie lie about $700 billion being cut from Medicare may have worked in Nevada, Nevada is not Florida and Romney needs Florida to win. So they can try to ride to victory with the $700 billion cut–or “stolen”–from Medicare lie, but the thing is Ryan’s proposed cuts attack and motivate all sorts of constituencies besides the beneficiaries of Medicare.
In addition to Ryan’s unprecedented attack on the nation’s social safety net, he has an entire record of obstruction as part of the do-nothing-but-damage-to-job-creation-and-the-country’s-credit-rating Congress that the President can run against.
