I’m ready, thank you Chips Chica!
Chica, Ohio State is is Columbus, Ohio (not Cleveland) But the picture is STILL wonderful!!
Man Ison, it’s so hard to keep all your states, cities and universities in their correct place! The map I bought doesn’t help ME with universities, only with states and major cities. ;)
Good day everyone …

Good day!!! :)
Happy Tuesday All!!!
Yesterday’s Presser with President Obama was all kinds of awesome. He constantly wipes the floor of those useless WH Press Corps! When Will they learn they can’t outsmart him?
November 7th? Even then I don’t think they will accept it. They’re not known to acknowledge truth even when it slaps them upside the head.
Hi, Aunty PinkB, Happy Tuesday! [I don't doubt you have already bought niece her stuffed pink bunnies for when you're not around.] ;)
Hahaha! Yep! Lots of pink stuff! Although several months ago, I was in Europe for business, and connecting through Amsterdam Airport, and I bought this glow in the dark bunny! It was made out of material, that when it soaks up light, it will glow in the dark :-)
Take it easy on little niece’s eyes, please. She might want to actually rest her eyes at night. Glow in the dark, bunny, indeed! ;) ;)
Now here is something Nate Silver, with all his polling data and statistical analysis, could do for me.
The previous general election I had to stay up until 5:15 a.m. CET before the election was called for BHO.
Surely, given the wealth of data available to him, he could project a useful estimate on when I can go to sleep on Nov., 7, 2012, CET.
Hey guys….it’s not good to spread LIES about Pres. Obama. After NewsWeek put that horrible full of CRAP article by Niall Ferguson as their cover page, Pres. Obama decided to conduct and exclusive interview with TIME magazine today.
Can you say BURN!
.@davidaxelrod .@NYTimeskrugman What do @nfergus & @MittRomney have in common. They both have to LIE to make a case against President Obama.— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) August 21, 2012
Bobfr, you are FEARLESS…and my hero…and my only twitter follower. Thanks for being all 3.
Retaliation swift, sure and effective! I’m just waiting to hear the news when NewsWeek finally falls into oblivion, somewhat like how I’ve been patiently awaiting Bibi’s demise. I have no doubt it will come, it’s just that some retaliation need more careful planning.
Newsweek is a rag and so is the people running it.
The GOP is going down in flames. It’s official: They’ve lost the women vote.
Rep. Steve King, one of the most staunchly conservative members of the House, was one of the few Republicans who did not strongly condemn Rep. Todd Akin Monday for his remarks regarding pregnancy and rape. On Monday, King signaled why — he might agree with parts of Akin’s assertion.
King told an Iowa reporter he’s never heard of a child getting pregnant from statutory rape or incest.
“Well I just haven’t heard of that being a circumstance that’s been brought to me in any personal way,” King told KMEG-TV Monday, “and I’d be open to discussion about that subject matter.”
I saw that little gem on Twitter as well.
King just told an anecdote about a young girl being raped and forced to have an abortion just the other day
It’s on Youtube….Rep. Steve King (R-IA) Clarifies Statements On Dog Fighting
I’m not posting this garbage here.
King is lying he knows Bristol Palin, she was 17 when she got pregnant.
This is the real reason the GOP was upset with Akin and his comments – it’s going to lure all the nutjobs out of hiding. So many of them will come out (like Dana Loesch) to defend Akin, and it will reveal once again that the GOP is made up of the lowest common denominator in the gene pool. These people are completely reprehensible. I wonder if the GOP knows that the world can actually see this stuff – and this is the image of America that’s going out there. So offensive.
Shoving their hypocrisy right into their faces …

Re Akin, in a way I think it’s a good time for the underbelly of GOP to be turned over into the sunlight, because I think more voting Americans will wake up to the grunge that has been hinted at but not truly seen.
@sonamie: IMO @RepToddAkin, you deserve to get the chance for voters to give their true opinion of your truth on November 6th.That's 'fair'.— Vick C. (@sonamie) August 21, 2012
Has he ever heard of Bristo Palin?
Small correction—-Oh St is in Columbus, which I’m sure you meant.
Look at how everyone, young and old alike are smiling when our President is around! :) :)
Pres. Obama just stuck a knife in @NewsWeek's crumbling facade. He's giving an exclusive interview to TIME. Can anyone say…BURN.— (@utaustinliberal) August 21, 2012
Nice! Or maybe Newsweek got wind of the interview with Time?
That is how the Beltway media works, if the President does gives CBS an interview, NBC gives him negative coverage, hypothetically.
No, it’s the other way around. Newsweek was being a ass, and PBO paid them with a bunch of roses.
Tina Brown made a HUGE mistake

CSPAN 1 tv has it blacked out. Something about a GOP jobs summit. I tried CSPAN 2, something about the GOP convention.
But, Robney got roadblock cable coverage, yesterday?
Thank God for Chiperoo!
GOP Jobs Summit ?
hahahahahahaha ….how funny
I’ve noticed that too! CSPAN 2 tv has devoted round the clock coverage of the RNC convention prep. None of our President /Biden speeches will be featured on CSPAN TV today. And when you go on the CSPAN website, the first thing that jumps out at you is the RNC Convention preparation.
I’m going to take a screenshot and save it, and then compare CSPAN’s homepage when it’s time for the DNC convention and see how the advertising compares.
Wi. Atty Gen. is again seeking to put Voter ID law in place, asking State Sup. Despicable. All of these voter suppression efforts. Astonishing, really.
Hey Chips….Ohio State University is in Columbus not Cleveland. :D
Okay, the speech is about to begin! Person to introduce the President is now on the podium!
president obama up 3% in missouri according the ppp! great news! he’ll win wisconsin too. just wait until after the republican convention, and it’ll be pedal to metal for the obama campaign. i think they’re pacing themselves in terms of money right now, and just imagine the momentum he’ll have after his convention speech in north carolina. big expenditures now will be lost in the media fluffing of the republicans next week, so keep that powder dry, i’d say! they jumped out of the gates early to set the narrative on rmoney, and conserving for the big final push. debates will help too and college kids going back to school. forward!!

BET To Interview Obama Today In Columbus, Ohio
Ed Gordon of Black Entertainment Television, or BET, will interview President Obama in Columbus, Ohio, this afternoon, a network spokesperson confirmed to TPM. The interview will air as part of BET’s live coverage of the Democratic National Convention on Sept. 6 between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. ET.
BREAKING: GOP Rep. Akin reiterates plan to go on with Missouri Senate bid after rape pregnancies comment.— The Associated Press (@AP) August 21, 2012
This is good news. We need him to stay in the race.
My concern is with the voters who thought he was a good idea in the first place. Apparently, he’s been spewing this kind of nonsense for a while, and he was still double digits ahead of Claire McCaskill in the state that knows him best. The only difference here was that he gained national notoriety. It’s still those Missouri voters who will decide who wins, and if he wins despite the GOP pull-out, it will open up a whole new can of worms. There are just some people in this country who are actually stupid – and the fact that one of them is now running as the GOP VP candidate is deeply embarrassing, and ultimately dangerous.
I agree it is a concern. Half of the whole country seems to be totally out of touch or stupid or both.
I hear you now, but don’t you think that earlier conversations about Sandra Fluke, ultra-sounds and Planned Parenthood, etc.etc. on the national as well as state levels may have awakened a) previously non-participating democratic women in Missouri, b) some smart (?) Missouri repub women? Yeah, reading your comment I suddenly remembered Wisconsin, but, jeez louise Theo, the WIMMIN in Missouri can’t be so deaf! Can they? This is more personal than the recall, after all.
VC – this meme about not getting pregnant with a “legitimate rape” has been around since the 60’s, I believe. We may think it’s horrendous, but this is mainstream among the pro-lifers. This isn’t the first time this guy has made these types of announcements – it’s just the first time they’ve been heard nationwide. Remember, they even (including Paul Ryan – who may be a heartbeat away from the Oval Office) co-sponsored a bill to define “forcible rape” so that teens who were raped under statutory laws or incest wouldn’t qualify as rape victims deserving of federal funding for their medical expenses. This is who they are – and their followers believe them. This is why Akin put out a fundraising letter last night. He clearly got enough enthusiasm and support (from the likes of Huckabee and others), that he felt ok staying in the race. The only reason the GOP is backing away from him now, even though he’s accurately describing their platform, is because they want the Senate and the White House – and ultimately, a completely right-leaning Supreme Court and control of America’s checkbook via the House leadership. If Americans weren’t paying attention before, then how many warnings and signs do they need before realizing they’re completely in trouble? As soon as the GOP started complaining about their “freedoms” being taken away, people should have realized that they always accuse others of what they are doing themselves.
From the 60’s, eh? Appreciate the eye-opener, Theo. As you know I live in a world where the stupidity I see in GOP politics seems awfully bizarre, and I still do not FULLY understand why/how they are not stopped cold. In my naive mind I cannot IMAGINE a woman going into a voting booth and voting for some of these (potential) tyrants, especially not a woman married to one of them. It just seems to me the voting booth would be an ideal place to make a determined stand for ‘freedom’.
But, some of these women believe this crap, too. Remember, these single issue voters rate their anti-abortion stance above all else. Plus, many have been home-schooled (no offense intended for those who home-school – many brilliant kids go this route), but in the GOP case, it just passes on the ignorance with no outside influence or input.
In fact – this false theory has been around since the 13th century…
But, the GOP (via a judge in 1979) have been publicly claiming this crap for a while.
There is nothing I can add, in truth.
This whole fiasco is a clear indication that the lunatics have taken over the asylum.
Thing is, if they would stay IN the asylum, leaving the rest of us outside to run our own future intelligently I wouldn’t mind.
:) So true…
I read on TPM today that the percentages are now Akin = 44%; McCaskill =43%. On yesterday, Akin had @ an 11 point lead on McCaskill. PM Carpenter reported on his blog that Powerliine is pizzzed about how Akin’s comments has affected his lead. I don’t understand why, because Powerline, along with Fox, and other RW media outlets has endorsed every anti-women bill the GOP has passed in the House the last few years. The only reason republicans are angry about Akin staying in the race is because he said what they have been trying to keep the public from knowing.
good for you, Todd. McCaskill is laughing her way to re-election right now.

I cannot blame students for what happened in 2010. Adult democrats were knee deep in hand wringing and some dems were telling folks to stay home and not vote. (Looking at you Ed). Dems did not do a good job of presenting themselves to the American people.

Another reason to love Costco
Joan Rivers Escorted Out of Costco
The comedian protests Costco for not selling her book. (video article)
Get this: Ms. Rivers claims her first amendment rights are being violated! LOL!
Where are the corporate-freedom lovers now? Doesn’t this business have the right to decide what products it chooses to offer its customers?
I heard last week that she even compared herself to Rosa Parks? She can’t be serious.
Oh my effing God. Costco has a limited number of titles, it isn’t Amazon for aging comedians.
What a jerk.
After Joan Rivers won the Celebrity Apprentice my view of her went downhill as I assume she is a Birther Backer now thinking Donald Trump is the ONE.
she isn’t a birther. she is a loyal Dem (as per an interview last year with Lawrence O’D) who supported PBO in 2008.
JOan recently called PBO an idiot
what?!! when? what?
Doesn’t like the whole “the rich should pay their fair share of taxes” and she called FLOTUS “Blackie-O”.
I’ve had no use for her for years now. Can’t stand her.
when did she call Miche that term?
I was always so-so about Rivers but that after “Blackie-O” crack! Thanks for opening my eyes.

You choose to publish a piece on President Obama by Niall Ferguson that is so riddled with falsehoods that it has permanently damaged the reputation of your magazine. I will never trust anything from Newsweek again, much less purchase a copy. The ONLY way that you will salvage your tattered reputation is to publish a cover story with a mea culpa and point by point refutation of Mr. Ferguson’s many lies. Shame on you, Tina, shame. You have embarrassed your self and all women in journalism.
I think I read she was seen attending a Koch Brothers secret event.

Thought it was a great speech—-new material!—–enthusiastically received! President Obama made it quite clear how his forward education policies stack up against Willard’s backward, dumb bunny, out-of-touch “shop around” and “borrow from your parents” education tips.
I'll give you this, GOP. Amending the Constitution to protect rapists' rights IS pretty bold.— Kaili Joy Gray (@KailiJoy) August 21, 2012
During a meeting of the Republican National National Convention Platform on Tuesday, Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach spoke out against an amendment that would have struck down the party’s longstanding support for the Defense of Marriage Act — which outlaws same-sex marriages — by comparing homosexuality with drug use and polygamy.
Pat Kerby, an RNC delegate from Nevada, introduced the amendment, arguing that “under the constitution, every American gets treated equally under the law.”
But Kobach, who is best know as the chief architect of Arizona’s xenophobic SB 1070 law and advises the Romney campaign on immigration issues, opposed the amendment by comparing LGBT people to drug users and polygamists:
Our government routinely judges situatons where you might regard people completely affecting themselves like for exmaple the use of controlled substances, like polygamy that is voluntarily entered in to. We condemn those activities even though they are not hurting other people at least directly. So this is worded way to broadly for inclusion in the platform.
The amendment was defeated by a voice vote.
They are so full of hate – they need to be treated the way they treat other people, except other people just aren’t that heinous. We have to leave them to Karma.

Atkin modified his term legitimate rape to false rape. So there will be a test a woman takes after a rape? True or false…..were you raped? If true, so what….if false so what also too such as.
I love that he then went on to say that what he meant to say was “forcible” rape, not “legitimate” rape. AHHH the curtain continues to get pulled back. As if rape isn’t forcible by definition. These cretins are disgusting.
He’s since changed it again today, It’s false rape now. He went from legitimate to forcible (language RAyn used), to false.
From the look of things to date, CM, women won’t have to worry about a test afterwards, the GOP lawmakers will make the determination if they are not swept out of the way.
VP Biden is on the podium!!
Politico pulls Dave Catanese from Akin story:
“We have had newsroom conversations about the importance of good judgment on social platforms like Twitter and the perils of letting that slip.
Unfortunately, today offered a good example. David Catanese crossed a line a reporter shouldn’t cross on Twitter when he seemed to weigh in on the merits of Todd Akin’s comments — especially in a way many people, including many POLITICO colleagues, understandably found offensive.
Dave’s tweets on Akin created a distraction to his own work, and to the newsroom as a whole. They also made himself part of the story, requiring us for now to remove him from Akin coverage.”
Most of them cross the line everyday. Candy Crowley et al spewing Right Wing talking points in every interview they have with a Dem, the jackals being stenographers for the Republican Party, Sunday morning Talk shows that favor the Repubs 2,3 or 4-1 most Sundays. And this guy gets a slap on the wrist while the black guy (who spoke the truth) loses his job because it’s a fact that Romney is only comfortable around people who look like him. Remember, “who let the dogs out, woof! woff!”.
They are all pathetic and only because Politico was getting pushback from minority websites who were questioning why this guy was allowed to do what he did and Joe Wilson or William’s (I’m not sure which) lost his job.
You are absolutely right Donna! Politico ‘s like most media uses double standards. Joe Williams lost his job because he told the truth but David Catanese, who was out defending a disgraceful man, gets a slap on the wrist.
They did not give Joe Williams the same courtesy. He should be removed from his job.
FYI….since FLOTUS is guest editor on iVillage all this week, today’s video is a relaxed convo with her feet up/shoes off in her office….very nice.
Thank you so much!

ROMNEY HAS ENOUGH WORKING DIGITS TO HANDLE A PEN.
Remember what Grover Norquist said:
“We are not auditioning for fearless leader,” Grover Norquist told conservatives at the CPAC convention in February. “We don’t need a president to tell us in what direction to go. We know what direction to go. We want the Ryan budget. … We just need a president to sign this stuff. We don’t need someone to think it up or design it. The leadership now for the modern conservative movement for the next 20 years will be coming out of the House and the Senate.”
Norquist went on: “Pick a Republican with enough working digits to handle a pen to become president of the United States. This is a change for Republicans: the House and Senate doing the work with the president signing bills. His job is to be captain of the team, to sign the legislation that has already been prepared.” [....]
Fortunately The Presidency is not a play or part you audition for. Although Romeyhood is acting like it. Get that sucker some green tights,eh? Where is Little John(Ryan)?
OBL dead, GM alive!
A clue into what a person will do should be based on what they have done, not on what they say they will do. Take a look at Paul Ryan’s Congressional record of being severely Conservative. Then decide if you would want him to be a heartbeat from the Presidency. It is not only about Mitt Romney’s candidacy. It is also about what it would be like if the VP became the President.
I wish I could tweet or had a following to post my above message. If anyone wants to shorten it and use it feel free.

Ha! The campaign should try and make this a really big event. Show the RNC up right in their backyard ;)
The Obama campaign made it official on Tuesday: Vice President Joe Biden will host a campaign rally in Tampa, Fla on Monday. Additional details will be announced later.
Biden’s appearance is notable in that it will be held in the same city and at the same time as the Republican National Convention, which kicks off on Monday.
Oh my! This is going to be too much fun! :)
I’m sure GOPers have already paid their bus load full of out-of-towners (make that buses) to drive around the Dem Convention. Preempt them Joe!
I will be there.
Jealous! If I could, I’d fly down to join you.

Just wondering: Could Congress pass the Voting Rights Act now?
By Laura Conaway
Now that we’ve lost our national consensus that it’s a good idea for more people to vote, I’ve found myself wondering whether the current Congress could pass the Voting Rights Act if it were before them now.
When I floated this question in here, Rachel sent over this bit on what else Congressman Todd Akin said when he was talking about rape and pregnancy — namely the problems with having federal protection for the right to vote:
Can anyone please tell me what Glenn Thrush politico is selling in his new book. I don’t watch MSNBC at all during the day until Maddow & Lawrence.
I’m sick of that idiot and his ebook….no facts checks nothing….
It’s just lies…gossip.
A former Unnaned Obama aide, says that the President is an angry Person and a bunch of gossip from this unnamed source.
It’s all he said She said, Karl Rove style.
Thanks, am glad am not missing anything. Gossip is all they do at politico
And what a bunch of assholes.
Except for a few straight reporters like Haberman, they are knee deep in gossip, with David Gregory and the like.
PBO is angry and very competitive. He proves it by stating that he would challenge Reggie Love to impromptu games of tiddlywinks, or a winner take all, take down bout of, who could guess the number of tiles on the ceiling.
Joe Biden to bracket the GOP convention in Tampa-
Very good idea. The MSM can not ignore Joe.
I love, Joe, but I know the repugs will retaliate and I don’t want them anywhere near our convention.
I was watching my recording of Stephanie Millers’s show and she played a clip from Mitt Romney on the stump. There has got to be a way to get the media to call Mitt out on his lies. He said he’s not raising taxes on anybody and that President Obama needs to stop lying about this. I believe at least two organizations, the CBO and the Tax Policy organization have analyzed Mitt’s plan and says that he does increase taxes on the middle class and the poor.
Generally, I don’t watch Mitt and I try not to listen to much of what he says, because frankly with my temperament, I’m subject to throw something at the TV.
They are taking important issues and are using our talking points to confuse.
It’s Soviet style behavioral modification.
Keep plenty of Nerf stuff around and toss away. Little damage done to tv, but very soothing to the soul.
:D :D :D I’ll have to go buy some Nerf balls.
This is one of Mitt’s more weaselly positions, because he has not given any details of his plan. The CBO and the Tax Policy Center have taken what he states as his goals and his suppositions of how it will work and extrapolated the outcome. Mittens literally has said on the record that if he gave details it could be scored and he doesn’t want the public to know the details until after he’s elected (God forbid!) because the public won’t like it. Amazing…….
What caused only a blip was Paul Ryan saying he’s never run the numbers on his budget. But the Repubs have voted for it as a budget! It’s absolutely stunning…….
The only way any of it comes close to working for these two jackasses is if they magically project increased revenue from their magical tax cuts.
Now here’s the thing: Mittens admits to at least $20M in ‘income’ in 2010. Has he created any jobs with that money? Have his tax cuts gone to opening a textile factory in the U.S.? He’s done NOTHING to generate jobs in the U.S. with his tax cuts, but more tax cuts will magically make this happen?
I work for an obscenely wealthy man. He hates PBO. He once told me that with the tax brackets as they are, there’s no reason to invest his earnings in order to shield income from excessive taxes because the taxes are no longer excessive.
And that’s the point: when tax rates were really high, it was in a rich person’s best interest to invest in actual businesses. But with ridiculously low tax rates, the rationale no longer applies, not by a long shot.
Also, since Reagan, the odious Gramm bill, and other deregulation of the financial industry (for which I will never forgive Bill Clinton. Talk about getting a total pass from the press on how this legislation led directly to global financial collapse), there is virtually NO REASON for rich individuals to invest in actual companies. They can play with their money in the casino that is now the banking industry.
you make a point that we need to amplify and broadcast: those with huge incomes have no incentive to invest in building the economy, because they can legally, and lucratively, stuff that money in offshore banks, or play roulette with huge bets against the dollar, or buy up luxury properties and goods overseas. this isn’t due to some ayn rand-type law of nature–it’s due to laws written by congress, which can be re-written, if voters are armed with this info, and maybe some pitchforks and torches.
The low tax rates themselves chill investment — there simply is no longer an incentive and there hasn’t been for 30+ years. And the replacement of actual investment with banking casinos has significantly changed the calculus of how money is used in a national economy.
Last night my husband and I discussed Clinton and his policies – Glass Seagall, The Fairness Doctorine, NAFTA – policies that progressives have given him a pass. Yet they are willing to throw President Obama under the bus because they didn’t get a public option. The double standard is mind blowing.
Phenomenal to me. Especially the few PUMA’s still around. Who honestly thinks she would have been more progressive than PBO? It’s absurd — the only time the Clintons are progressive is when they’re running for office — they do not govern that way.
And although Repubs like to use Clinton as a poster boy for ‘sensible’ policies now, there are only two people in the world Repubs hate more than PBO: Bill and Hillary Clinton. Congress would have been tied up with every claim by every woman who ever shook Bill Clinton’s hand. It would have been a bigger disaster than it is now, except the policies would have been more rightward than PBO’s have allegedly been.
I heard recently that after the morning’s impeachment trial, the afternoons were spent by Clinton working out the details of the Gramm bill, with the same monsters who were impeaching him. Clinton never did anything to stop that legislation and was actually complicit in how it was shaped. I will never forgive him for that, or the Telecom bill that unleashed right wing radio to obscene heights.
Report: Convention platform to embrace Ryan Medicare ideas.
OMG they are nuts! Lucky for us.
If RYAN MEDICARE PLAN SO AWESOME – why not START IT NOW????— Tally Briggs (@bardgal) August 21, 2012
Why not take an iconic photograph of Paul Ryan handing over the first Medicare coupon to his Mom, so she can take out into the open market and shop for healthcare coverage that’s as excellent as she’s getting now.
The only problem is that, they will probably change what he really wnt to do with medicare, i.e tell a lie.
New Pew poll on Ryan and his ideas-
Albeit, look at this Stupidity-
At this point, most Americans do not associate Ryan with the proposal to change Medicare. Just 23% of those who have heard about the idea of shifting Medicare to a system of credits to buy private insurance identify it as Ryan’s. Nearly as many (17%) say Barack Obama proposed this, while 44% do not know who proposed it.
You see how stupid People are? I would say all democrats know the Ryan plan, so I question this poll.
Jovie, was this in the Pew poll?
Yes! Most definitely! Stupid! That means R&R has confused people.
No, it means that people aren’t political wonks like us. They haven’t started to pay attention yet. They’re enjoying the last vestiges of summer. I think they’re the smart ones. While we’re here tearing our hair out and downing the Pepmo, they’re out there skipping through the fields of daisies and clover.
Paying to much attention to these polls.
I think it was the CNN poll.

You should run for some Political office, you would be good at it.
Thanks so much babe….. but I think my head would explode from trying to process all the stupidity. Newsroom is keeping me sane.
again, this is the insidious evil underlying the current rape discussion: if the woman or girl becomes pregnant, then she wasn’t raped. she’s lying. here’s the proof.
i cannot imagine anyone supporting this belief system who is not personally invested in covering up some pretty nasty behavior of their own.
A Mountain of Legislation Proves Legitimate Rape is a Republican Policy, Not a Gaffe
By Sarah Jones
Republicans’ feigned outrage over Todd Akin’s “legitimate rape” statement didn’t stop them from falsely and conveniently negating it with a “both sides do it” reference to Biden’s shackles gaffe, as if a gaffe is the equivalent of years of policy.
Maybe everyone does say stupid things, but not everyone has a mountain of legislation backing up the stupid thing they said, proving that it wasn’t a gaffe but a policy. “Legitimate rape” was not a gaffe nor was it the opinion of one lone Republican in the House. The Medieval thinking behind “legitimate rape” runs wild in the Republican Party, and there is a mountain of legislation to prove it.
It’s not about your words, Republicans. We’re used to being called barn yard animals, caterpillars and sluts by your party. It’s your legislative policies that diminish our rights to those of barn yard animals to which we are objecting.
OK, this just got interesting. Romney called on Akin to exit the race. If he doesn't, that makes Romney look AWFULLY weak. Tick tock. #p2— April (@ReignOfApril) August 21, 2012
Ryan called too but didn’t ask him to quit. Shades of Palin. A VP with a different agenda than the top of the ticket:
“Ryan called Akin Monday and the two spoke for about five minutes, a Republican source familiar with the call told ABC News.
“He didn’t ask him to get out,” the source said. “He said, basically, ‘You need to reflect on this and think about what is best for you, your family and things you believe in.'”
I’m still betting that Akin will cave.
I hope he stays……
Well, yeah, of course. The clock is ticking. However, I think we’re overblowing McCaskill’s chances of beating him — MO is not NV. They believe this shit and hate McCaskill.
He probably promised to carry the torch in the war against women, and maybe even appoint Todd Akin to a committee to rewrite the Constitution after the election (if they win, by some diabolical means).
Pew poll- only 23% of Voters KNOW that the Ryan voucher plan came from Paul Ryan.
Twenty Three Percent???
Stupid is as stupid does!

Mitt Romney nearly bobbles Yankees fan’s vote

Scott Brown has come out against the GOP platform for abortion.
He is the only Republican on thus Earth, that actually goes against the Upper echelon.
That is the plan, The Republican don’t care if he go against them in order to keep his seat, Scott plan is to go against the republican so his state won’t think he is a teaparty nut. But vote with him when he win.
he’s trying to hold on to his seat in a blue state. of course he’s against it. there is nothing courageous about that.

“We’re retiring the mustache cursor for the day. Here’s our new one: a coat hanger.”
