Romney isn’t always the best speaker. He can be wooden on the stump and gaffe-prone off of it. But his very public weaknesses can obscure the fact that he’s a very, very good politician. He’s an incredible fundraiser. He’s a strong debater. He’s disciplined in his message. He’s strategic. He’s good at picking campaign staff. And the results show: He’s now the Republican nominee for president.
There it is…that’s why Ezra Klein sent those little tweets…..
THIS is insulting….”He’s disciplined in his message.”….what effing message??? He lies every time he opens his mouth, he changed position on every single issues more than once…..
”He’s strategic.”……nice strategy, lying about the President like his disgusting welfare ads, hiding his tax returns!!
So his “flip floppyness” is a plus? appealing to billionaires and millionaires is HARD”, his staff who are lobbyists and can’t keep on message, invent things like “Etch-a-Stitch” and other adjectives for the opposing party to use against their guy. The Pundits reminds me my bosses, they HAVE TO SAY SOMETHING NEGATIVE TO BRING YOU DOWN A NOTCH…..in their case they HAVE TO SAY SOMETHING POSITIVE ABOUT MITT TO BRING OBAMA DOWN A NOTCH.
It’s bad enough that he’s pimping Romney for reasons I’m not clear on (but have my suspicions about), but to take cheap gratuitous shots at our President with the constant digs at “charismatic speaker” while insulting our intelligence to boot (after all, we dullards are so taken by the charismatic speaker that we cannot see anything else) is REALLY CROSSING THE LINE HERE.
I can even understand John McCain, who at least served the country and had some modicum of decency – even though I will not forgive him for unleashing Pitt Bull in lipstick on us.
But there is NOTHING redeeming about Mitt Romney. Ezra is not only being dishonest about Romney’s so-called “good” attributes as a politician, he also is passive-aggressively attacking our President, as well as insulting PBO supporters’ ability to distinguish a good politician from a terrible one.
Ego is over-inflated, burning jealousy of President Obama’s charisma (and every other positive attribute which he lacks) His haughty manner is unappealing. I’m not dying to hear his deep thoughts on anything at this point. Would just as soon he exits stage right. Flame out!
People who have a “Public weakness” are weak – a policy that you cannot freely discuss, talk about, explain does not make a good politician. I think it has been said before (and someone was slammed for being truthful) – Mitt is only able to talk with rich white guys.
“strong debater”????!!!!!!!!!———- against a bunch of incompetent tools!!! Democrats and repug politicos agree that this years crop was the WEAKEST ever!!!!! Of course WIllard came out on top! So would a brain damaged goat!
“So would a brain damaged goat.” Love that line. But that is the whole point. Romney really isn’t a good politiican, just a wealthy politician. If he had been on a level playing field, money wise, in the primaries, or if there had only been a couple opponents early on, he wouldn’t have made it past the fifth primary.
Totally agree with you, especially on message discipline.
And when he says “incredible fundraiser” I find it insulting too. It’s the word “incredible” that makes me sick. As if Romney had any merit in this. When your policies favor the ultra-wealthy and big business while screwing the middle class and the poor, you can raise a lot of money. What’s so admirable about that ??!!!
What IS admirable is the way that Barack Obama is able to raise decent amounts of money even if all the Big Ultra-rich Lobbies (Wall Street, Big Oil, Big Pharma,… ) are against him.
Yeah, Ezra Klein is disappointing. I don’t know what the hell happened to the guy.
I’m just getting caught up with the previous comments. Did Miss Ann really say that Willard ate first and finished his meal before the kids were called to the table? Like he was some kind of horrible king? Ay yi yi. Sounds like a highly dysfunctional male dominant, woman submissive arrangement to me, very Mormonish. I would not have shared that, and I wouldn’t have shared the weird miscarriage story either. One in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage, so not unusual in that respect. What was unusual were the strange circumstances surrounding it, protecting poor, precious Willard’s feelings at all costs. Again—-unhealthy, unequal, unbalanced relationship.
CHRIS WALLACE: So, Tagg, what are family meals like?
TAGG ROMNEY: A little bit of craziness. Dad always goes in line first because he doesn’t want to wait for all the grand children because it takes forever. Parents are cutting their meat and he’s usually finished by the time the rest of us sit down.
Me too…..he sounds like a selfish pig…I eat first because I am the head of the family…even if they say grace prior to eating, going to the front of the line not waiting for Ann to sit and eat next to you is just WEIRD. I can see the adults taking care of their families and making sure the youngsters eat and the boys and their spouces eat together. Oooooh…..I wonder if Mitt and ALL the boys eat first and the wimmin feed the children and Ann and the spouses eat last?
Dotster, she’s describing an emotionally abusive relationship and she doesn’t even know it. Tiptoeing around your husband, afraid to wake him up to take you to the hospital, not speaking up when he puts himself before his children or his work before you, who would want a man like that? It’s as if she gave up her personhood when she married him. And this is supposed to make him appealing?
you mean she hasn’t had a good life? She got married to a rich guy at a young age and has never had a legitimate job outside of the home since. That’s not a good life? She got sick and didn’t have to worry about going bankrupt for substandard care and she hasn’t had it good in life? She doesn’t have to worry about a retirement fund and a mortgage and yet she’s not had it good in life? Bitch, please.
This Romney family is full of alot of crap, here they are trying so hard to act like they are like us, but we don’t have 250 million dollars, we don’t have Swiss bank accounts, or money stash overseas, and we aren’t hiding our tax returns. And most of us do our best not to lie all the time.
A story from this weekend I”m going to bring from a previous thread. This weekend my husband and I visited our kids and grandchildren in Rowlett, just east of Dallas. When we visit, we stay at a Comfort Suite nearby. (We are too old to sleep in grandchildren’s beds!) Sunday morning my husband went to the breakfast room before I did….(that’s normal for us) FOX was on. The only other people were two cross-country truckdrivers eating breakfast too. Mitt Romney came up on the screen. One of the men said: “He’s never worked a day in his life. I’ll have to work until I die.” He did not say this in a kind or complimentary way.
I think more and more people are realizing this. They don’t like it, and there’s nothing Romney can do to change what he is. Tom Brokaw said he is the least authentic presidential candidate he’s ever seen….yes, hollow. People sense that and will react negatively to it. Ann can’t change what he is. The longer he’s around, the more people know this, and the stronger they will react against him.
nice piece in the missouri press, brought over from wapo:
‘ As Buzzfeed’s McKay Coppins reported Friday, the final night of the Republican National Convention will bring Romney’s Mormonism into the spotlight, with the goal of “presenting Mitt Romney the Man to the electorate.” Romney’s refusal to release his tax returns might be one reason he comes across as inaccessible. Citing his Mormonism as a reason for not releasing them puts a human gloss on what comes across as a politically motivated and calculating decision not to be forthcoming about his past. ‘
Precisely … and, here’s another Mormon who has no problem with financial disclosure transparency …

…Tonight I want to talk to you from my heart about our hearts.
I want to talk not about what divides us, but what holds us together as an American family. I want to talk to you tonight about that one great thing that unites us, that one thing that brings us our greatest joy when times are good, and the deepest solace in our dark hours.
Tonight I want to talk to you about love.
…
Mitt’s dad never graduated from college. Instead, he became a carpenter.
He worked hard, and he became the head of a car company, and then the governor of Michigan.
When Mitt and I met and fell in love, we were determined not to let anything stand in the way of our life together.
..
I read somewhere that Mitt and I have a “storybook marriage.” Well, in the storybooks I read, there were never long, long, rainy winter afternoons in a house with five boys screaming at once. And those storybooks never seemed to have chapters called MS or Breast Cancer.
A storybook marriage? No, not at all. What Mitt Romney and I have is a real marriage.
They keep trying to substitute Willard’s dad’s bootstrap story for Willard. Trying to pull a switcheroo. From all accounts, George Romney was much more human, had much more integrity, and was a much better businessman than his robotic, narcisstic, never-had-to-work-for-anything-in-his-life son. We’re not gonna fall for the okie doke.
I think I rolled my eyes three times while reading that excerpt. She wants to talk about “love” while she, her husband, and their party, spread hate all over the country and divide the country into racists/non-racists? what a joke!
So true, theo, they thrive on hate and lies and want to talk about love. It does make you want to puke. Michelle Obama models love in everything she does–reaching out to families, disaster victims and children throughout the country. Ann spews elitist hatred everywhere she goes, then tries to act like Mother Teresa.
she’s supposed to be talking about her husband. why do they always fall back on George Romney? It’s like after George that whole family went to hell and no one else has a good heart felt story to tell because after George, they broke the mold in that family. Fricking corrupt bastards.
What is it with these people. Ann Romney can say whatever she want too. it still is all about her lying husband policies. The women who would suffer from no Planned Parenthood, because of Mitt Romney, are they going to sit there and fall in love with Romney policies because of what Queen Ann says. It’s about Romney-Ryan policies. Not some so call emotion speech from rich uppity snobs spouse.
Anniebella, Ann Romney is just a distraction. She doesn’t matter. Her lying, corrupt and heartless husband and his anti-middle class, anti-woman, anti-minority, anti poor people, anti seniors policies do matter.

Our original languages were known by Native American tribes, until we tried to get them to give them up for our “official national language.” Still at it in 2012. Backward asses.
Streets in the heart of downtown are eerily quiet, key intersections blocked off. Even the best restaurants are easy to get into without a reservation or much of a wait.
It’s supposed to be an honor to be picked as the host city of a presidential nominating convention.
But so far, a combination of nasty weather, tight security that blocks off streets and a delay in Republican National Convention activities has left Tampa’s streets deserted, its restaurants nearly empty. Some merchants remain hopeful they’ll make up for it in the next several days, while others worry they’ve lost so much money from investing in extra staff, food and merchandise that no amount of business will put them in the black this week.
7:15: Speaker Boehner (R-OH) used his favorite refrain — “where are the jobs?” — to attack the Obama administration. The private sector has added 4.5 million jobs during the last 29 months.

“Herman Cain told Fox News that “the reason you do not have more black faces at this convention, they are working! They are not retired and they may not have the freedom to spend the time to try to go.”
According to the Pubs, AAs don’t work and Newt says there are no role models of AAs going to work. Maybe Cain didn’t get the memo. Wow, he’d better be careful or he’ll be thrown out of Boners bar.
Oh, they’ve started with the evening events? Who noticed? But it would be a good idea to take a look at a live blog, because I certainly am not watching the liars’ lips moving.
So Boehner opens up with using a bar joke analogy and having bar rooms brawls. He digs at PBO as not knowing how businesses work. All of this is to be expected, but remember they’re not talking to us. It’s feeding time at the zoo. Red meat all around.
Now looking forward to Ann, who has a script and has been told to stay on message, not to go off by not one word. She complained that it will be hard for her to just read what was written for her. Tells you how much they trust her.

Unlike last convention, great seats this time for the brown people territories. Too bad their votes don’t count. American Samoa, Guam, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico…. At least when the camera pans the crowd, they can wave to family and friends back home. Other than that, we’d hardly know their presence. Last time they were seated in the rafters. This time the Paulite delegates have the nose bleed seats.

The Obama campaign has announced President Obama and Vice President Biden’s preliminary schedule leading up to the Democratic convention in Charlotte.
Obama will travel to Des Moines, Iowa Saturday to kick off his tour. He will travel to Sioux City, then Boulder, Toledo and Cleveland, Ohio, and Norfolk, Va. before arriving in Charlotte.
Biden will campaign in York, Pennsylvania and Detroit, Mich. before arriving in Charlotte.
All the stops will feature “American Heroes” — or “people who have shown grit and determination in overcoming obstacles, highlight the progress we’ve made together in rebuilding our economy, and demonstrate the American values of hard work and responsibility that make our country great,” the campaign announced.

I cannot take 2 more days of this GOP pretend love fest!
One of my nieces is a freshman in college. I made sure she registered to vote this summer. I have called and texted to bug her to get her 2 roommates at school to register. She wasn’t having any luck until today when they walked by an OFA voter registration table. My niece said the 2 guys working the table were so hot that her roommates stopped instantly and registered. She said they are now Pres. Obama supporters. All 3 girls signed up to work on the campaign now! Best thing is that they are in a swing state…VA. Hilarious… let’s get more hot guys at those OFA tables!
I thought the formula was just one-2-one, didn’t realize ‘hot guys’ had to be involved. Better send word to FLOTUS that she omitted a part of the formula.
Republican National Convention: Night 1 — @LOLGOP Liveblog
BREAKING: The GOP accidentally nominates the guy who created ObamaCare.
August 28th, 2012 6:07 pm
@LOLGOP
——————————————-
The definition of insanity is doing exactly what George W. Bush did and expecting different results. Tonight Mitt Romney and the party he tricked into nominating him will make their insanity official with a party platform that in almost every way resembles the last platform of George W. Bush. Only now the tax breaks for the rich are bigger, the cuts for the middle class are steeper and Medicare will become a “defined benefit program” that erases the Medicare promise.
Tonight’s agenda is designed to humanize Mitt Romney – something Gepetto gave up on decades ago. Part of rehabilitating Romney’s image involves retelling the story of Bain Capital. What America knows about Bain mostly comes from the Newt Gingrich Super PAC’s documentary and the Obama campaign. Expect to hear Staples and the Sports Authority over and over. Apparently in Romney’s America, the job creators job create and everyone else wears a nametag.
Tonight’s speakers include the person the GOP is counting on to sell you Mitt Romney – his wife – and the guy many Republicans wish had been the nominee – Chris Christie. But you’ll also get conservatives favorite union bashers – Scott Walker and John Kasich. And two business owners who are supposed to exemplify the spirit of building a business without government help – though both had lots and lots of government help.
.
.
Check back here when the convention begins so we can make our own fireworks as the GOP simultaneously pretends George W. Bush never existed while running on his ideas.

I would be interested to see them pan the convention center tonight during Ms. Ann’s whinefest. Father, in the Name of Jesus, thank You for revealing the true winners in this 2012 Presidential election–President Obama and Vice-President Biden. Thank You for preserving them so strongly from any form of hurt, harm or danger in any way, shape or form. Thank You for Your ministering Angels always around and surrounding them and their families with Your Protection. Let them always be in the right places at the right times. Thank You for the strong love and guidance for them. Thank You for opening the people’s eyes even more so that it is seen and known that our guys have the best interests of the American people at heart. Thank You for the voters coming out in droves to vote our President Obama and Vice-President Biden back into office and that there is no doubt that this will happen. I give you the glory for this major re-election and that the truth prevails and Your Love covers them. Let this be so, Lord. Amen.
- HUH? Kasick (sp) Ohio says something about not liking black eyed peas and having a feeling they’re about to elect a new president. WTF!?! Now he’s bragging about the great turn around of Ohio’s economy. Hmmm, wonder if he’ll mention the auto bailout that saved them.

Ok it was a reference to the music of the group Black Eyed Peas playing in the background. Oops, I bet they didn’t get permission to do that, and then this guy says he doesn’t like them. Hoo boy. I think Kaish is trying out for a place in 2016 or in mitt’s cabinet. Get the hook.
Well it wasn’t playing in the background Kaisich was trying to make a play on words from teh Black Eye Peas hit song, I’ve Got a Feeling. No matter no one in that hall knew the reference. They listen to only two types of music, country and western.
I’m not watching the GOPfest but from what I’m reading on twitter, it’s hideous that they’re running with this whole infantile “we built it” scenario.

THE REPUBLICAN PARTY: WE BUILT THE “DEBT” IN THE DEBT CLOCK.
DEBT CLOCK SERVES AS A MEMORY TEST
By Steve Benen – Tue Aug 28, 2012 8:00 AM EDT
————————————————————–
Reality is clearly fighting a losing battle, but when it comes to the debt clock, the political world should at least try to avoid collective amnesia.
Towards the end of President Clinton’s second term, debt clocks that had been established in various U.S. locations had to be shut down — the deficit had been eliminated and the clocks had never been set to run backwards.
They started back up again during the Bush/Cheney era. Republicans took a massive surplus and turned it into an even more massive deficit, adding the costs of two wars, two tax cuts, Medicare expansion, and a Wall Street bailout to the national charge card.
I hope all local media cover the GOP platform like Los Angeles all-news radio KNX did.

cookemom and grace….I admire you both for watching and reporting…..I could NOT stand it, but appreciate your reports. I’m afraid I would not have a TV set left if I watched. My husband is watching boxing and I’m on this much loved blog, getting ready to read the essay I assigned my freshmen to read for Thursday. It’s a good one….”Prison Studies” by Malcolm X…..how he taught himself to read in prison, and the importance of literacy. Next we’ll read “Mother Tongue” by Amy Tan. I always start the composition semester talking about the wonder and gift of language. It’s fun, and new information for them as I talk about the history of all language and the English language in particular, and explain why it is so difficult to learn as a second language.
I enjoy reading so many posts on this blog. I enjoy the individual ways people use language, each effective in its own way. I despise the perversion of language of the Republicans. The truth is not in them, kindness is not in them. I think I despise their meanness the most. How can Ann talk about “love” when her husband and his people are so hateful and bigoted? That is another perversion of language.
One thing that attracted all of us to PBO was his 2004 convention speech. Tonight Rev. Al contrasted it with Christie’s tonight. He said “President Obama is a poet. Christie is a bully.” I thought that statement set it out very clearly.
Sure we see it in your writing – you enjoy playing with words, and you enjoy humour, and when you are serious you enjoy ideas and truth. It all comes through.
Carolyn–Your reading Prison Studies is such a good use of time. Your mind is expanding, while the convention delegates minds are dumbing further down with each minute.

I’m loving it that the President is going to so many colleges and universities! We need to get this diverse generation in the habit of voting. We need to help the see the necessity of voting. The President is impressing on them that it is THEIR future that is going to be affected by this election.
I am probably prejudiced since I teach these students, but they are a wonderful group of young people. When I started teaching college in 1976, it was a very white population. Now, even in a small church supported college in the red state of Oklahoma, we have a very diverse group of students. My students are gradations of colors, from light to dark, and they are delightful.
I want to give a shout out to Latina and AA mothers, aunts and grandmas: You have brought up the most wonderful, politest generation of young men I have ever taught. They are unfailingly polite and respectful to me, and WANT to learn. I benefit because of their love and admiration for you and because of your excellent home training. Bravo to you!
Carolyn, I have noticed that as I’ve gotten to know many Latino families. Children have great respect for their parents, they know they’re loved, but they try to live up to the expectations set for them. To me, they reflect the true family values–love, loyalty, respect.
- OK Scott Walker as with all of the Gov’s so far are bragging about what they’ve done in their states. Not much at all about Mitt. As a matter of fact they throw his name in as an after thought. He’s a pretty dull speaker. He didn’t have much to say about Paul RAyn, his own Senator. He brings up a lady who lost her job in ’07, but now has a job and has gotten a promotion since then. Uh…..didn’t PBO get in office in ’09….so she lost her job under Bush and PBO’s reforms/stimulus got it back.

Ok somebody pick me up off the floor. Santorum up now to attack the blah people on welfare. The 8 blah folks in the audience have gotten hall passes so that they can be excused from this portion of the festivities.
Santorum’s granddad worked in the coal mines til he was 72, died with no benefits to help with the black lung disease. somehow this is ok cause he had big hands or something. Can’t quite follow the logic about him shaking hands of broken people, strong people, lemon shrimp, fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, baby shrimp hands, grandma’s hands cleaning shrimp. It’s too much I tells ya!
Thick hands. Big hands. Shake hands. Helping hands. A hand up. Not a hand out. Hand me a cliche. Hands off. Speak to the hand.— Richard Wolffe (@richardwolffedc) August 29, 2012

It is, isn’t it. Like I keep telling my son, this is your President … he is the President for your generation. Support him, embrace him. Meanwhile, those of us in our 50′s-60′s, we are fighting for him with everything we have, because he has reawakened those ideals we held dear when we were in our 20′s!

Am watching the Republican convention again. Santorum is using his teleprompter and his delivery still sucks. lolololol
Shorter Rick: god, anti-abortion, all men are created equal blah blah blah.
Obama took work out of welfare
In November we have a chance to vote for life and liberty and not dependency.
A vote for Willard and Paul is a vote to keep the dream alive.

(Reuters) – Republican women attending the national convention this week are fed up with talk that their party is waging a “war on women,” and some say it doesn’t help that a few Republican men keep talking about abortion, rape and contraception.
“Why are men discussing this? That would be my question,” asked Mary Anne Carter, policy director at YG Network, a conservative-leaning non-profit group running the “Woman Up!” pavilion at the Republican National Convention in Tampa.
“At the end of the day, this election is about the economy.” [more in the article]
If your drinking game is based on how many times you hear Bush W or Bush HW or even Reagan, you’ll be able to get to work tomorrow headache free. As a matter of fact you can invite the kiddies to play along. If your drinking game includes hearing Mitt, Romney, Ryan, Paul, then send the kids to bed, but you’re still safe for work. If however, the game is based on the word ‘hands’ you’re in deep poo about now.
Small business owner Phil Archuletta’s speech contradicts tonight’s RNC theme of “We Built It” and he’s complaining that his business was destroyed because he didn’t get enough federal government contracts! “When President Obama came on board and pushed the stimulus, I believed my business was going to explode with work,” he said. “Unfortunately, it never happened.” Watch it:

ABOARD MITT ROMNEY’S CAMPAIGN PLANE (Reuters) – Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney’s campaign tried on Tuesday to play down talk that he will receive the kind of significant bump in the polls that candidates traditionally enjoy after their party convention.
“I just think all bets are off about any kind of past performance being a predictor of the future,” senior adviser Stuart Stevens told reporters on Romney’s campaign plane headed for Tampa, Florida.
He cited the threat to the convention from bad weather, the late date in the campaign season in which conventions are now held and the fact that the Republicans’ and Democrats’ gatherings are being held back-to-back… [blah, blah, blah]
…but isn’t that why they’re sending Ann in? She’s the face of the party, the overcomer of bad weather, bad slutty women, bad conventions, and bad husband wanna be presidents. Let’s hope she at least mentions his name.
Agreed. Except Federer is totally an alien. He just throws in a few losses here an there to keep people from getting too suspicious, but I know the truth.
Gov Haley, So. Carolina starts with the we did build it. Brags about being the #1 tire manufacturer. Of course no mention that the tire industry is downstream industry of auto industry. Goes on to talk about immigration, though her parents are/were immigrants. Now talking about voter suppression, get rousing applaud. Digs at Boeing issue when the Labor Relations board sued to block the deal, no mention of why. I think I don’t like her. Bragging about 6,000 non-union employees who work for Boeing. Talking now about jobs going over seas…oops!

Exactly what I was going to say. Doesn’t she sound sincere? Yah, like a used car salesman. “I love you women!” (fake laugh) Flat delivery even tho she’s trying too hard to convey her LOVE OF WOMEN! (who are all voting for Obama) And the Repub women in the audience are pretending she is saying something profound. Mitt made her laugh—–he’s such a jokester as we all know, she a daughter of a Welsh coal miner. I am sick now. Michigan! Really sick now. Urp!

Coal Miner’s daughter, more about the coal mines, no mention of hands yet, except he built the mine with his own grizzley hands and the Cleavers lived right around the corner.
So far, a stretch and an appeal to women and to ironing boards and overacting and seem to be trying to convince Mitt, not us.
Basement apt. , only had tuna and pasta to eat, poor things—– Isn’t that when they had to sell some stock to get by, like all young marrieds? Maybe they could have borrowed a couple of bucks from Mitt’s daddy, head of American Motors?
This video should go viral. GOP Evangelical Chuck Colson attacks Ayn Rand movement and crypto cultists like Paul Ryan. Ayn Rand philosophy is an “idolatry of self and selfishness.”
Attack on Mitt Romney’s success? No, Miss Ann—–attack on his dodging his tax responsibility to this country and ruthless bsns. practices with no regard for the destruction of the lives of others.
Now she’s making veiled comments about PBO and how unsuccessful the last 4 years have been. Ha! Said that PBO was basically attacking Willard’s success. Praising Bain as a little start up that went big and has helped their families do so many great and wonderful things. Willard won’t talk about how charitable Willard is because it’s a privilege. Apparently Bain has helped A LOT OF PEOPLE IN MANY WAYS! Ha!
No mention of Mitt selling stock so they could go to school and live in that shabby basement apartment.
No mention she was an anchor baby
Lies and says Mitt wasn’t handed success. He built it. All those stocks and inheritance, yep he built those too.
She’s not passing the sniff test, and the teleprompter is not her friend.
Talking about giving, but no specifics, no mention of tithing to the Mormon church.
applause seems cued, not spontaneous.
Trust a liar. I don’t think so. Even the Republicans don’t trust him. They are guided by the hate in their heart for the President. They don’t like or trust Mitt Romney. It’s all about their racism.
Look into our hearts…….. “you can trust Mitt” ….. Give Mitt a chance……. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaahahahahahahahaha! She sucked. I think Tundra Twitt does better public speaking.
Ann says just trust Mitt. No way she jumped that high bar set up for her. She looked like a deer in headlights. She was nervous, but not sincere imo. Did nothing to advance the narrative of Mitt the warm-hearted
Miss Ann says She grew up like Oliver Twist. Well, close… Then, when I met Mutt, he saw I was hungry and I asked him for some porridge, he said, you want more? LOL!
What a joke! If People fall for this then they are stupid!
Chris says Mitt joined Ann on stage on wheels, still stiff and like a coneheaded non-earthling. Ann’s a real person he says and she showed him more love than he showed her. Lawrence felt like me, from the floor observation nothing spontaneous from the crowd. Everything on cue.
Lawry said the reaction of the crowd to Mrs. Money was nothing compared to Tundra Twitt. Hahahahahahaha—– what did I tell you?! Christie got a bigger round of applause!
Crispy starts off bragging about himself. We know he’s there to tear PBO a new one, but let’s see if he’ll mention Mitt. He’s no friend of Mitts. This is his audition speech for the 2016 nomination. The National Republican Senatorial Committee is rolling back its investments in two battleground states and investing heavily in North Dakota, where the GOP is facing an unexpectedly difficult fight to pick up an open Senate seat.
Several strategists told POLITICO that the campaign arm of the Senate GOP will begin running ads in North Dakota starting Wednesday. The NRSC is booking $3.1 million in airtime there between tomorrow and Election Day, a committee source said.
The source said the NRSC is also canceling its ads in New Mexico, where Democrat Martin Heinrich appears to be pulling ahead of Republican Heather Wilson, and Missouri, where Rep. Todd Akin’s comments about abortion and rape have damaged his campaign and caused national Republicans to flee the state.
The NRSC had previously announced it would pull its resources out of Missouri, but had not yet started to cancel its TV reservations. That has begun to change.
Asked to comment on the strategic shift, NRSC spokesman Brian Walsh said the committee does not comment on ad reservations.
The NRSC’s move away from New Mexico and Missouri, and its move to reinforce North Dakota, would seem to reflect the narrower path Republicans now face on the way to a Senate majority.
It’s still entirely plausible for Republicans to win 51 seats, but some seats that once looked like easy pickup opportunities have proven surprisingly elusive.
The posts are coming thick and fast!
yes the youngsters are enthusiastic. thanks Chips,
What a day.
My serious question of the day:
There is absolutely a LOT of truth in that.
I don’t get it…
LOL. McCain was famous for having a tire swing that reporters loved.
Thanks for explaining – I tried all combinations.
LOL
McCain appealed to the “little boy/girl” in the reporters…..I guess the swing set was too Elitest.
Mitt Romney’s huge accomplishment
Romney isn’t always the best speaker. He can be wooden on the stump and gaffe-prone off of it. But his very public weaknesses can obscure the fact that he’s a very, very good politician. He’s an incredible fundraiser. He’s a strong debater. He’s disciplined in his message. He’s strategic. He’s good at picking campaign staff. And the results show: He’s now the Republican nominee for president.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/ezra-klein/wp/2012/08/28/mitt-romneys-huge-accomplishment/
Ezra Klein makes me sick……..
Ezra Klein makes me sick……..
DITTO….
Me too! STFU ezra.
I don’t even know where to start with what he wrote, so I won’t even try. Utterly disgusting, dishonest ‘journalism’.
Ezra needs to stick to writing about policy and leave the politics to people with more politically savvy.
Well remember the press was (is) enamored with McCain too…
I can even understand John McCain, who at least served the country and had some modicum of decency – even though I will not forgive him for unleashing Pitt Bull in lipstick on us.
Ezra is often questionable as are Chris Hayes and Melissa harris Perry. Which side are they on ? Their own?
Ego is over-inflated, burning jealousy of President Obama’s charisma (and every other positive attribute which he lacks) His haughty manner is unappealing. I’m not dying to hear his deep thoughts on anything at this point. Would just as soon he exits stage right. Flame out!
Shorter EK: “Mitt Romney is an accomplished liar!”
tweet that!
That’s true, Japa. Without the billionaire backing and with one half-way sane candidate, Rmoney would have bee down and out early on.
To bad you can’t tweet back to that dope E.Klein what you just said.
Romney’s so good that he has won 1 of the 3 elections he has tried to win so far. Yeah, keep trying to fool yourself, Ezra Klein.
suck on that ezra …
House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) will call on GOP convention delegates to “throw out” President Obama in his address Tuesday night.
How sweet! You can hear Wolfe, saying hell ya!
Speaker who?????????????????????
The guy we voters are going to “throw out”!
Hah! No enthusiasm whatsoever!
Riiiiggghhht!
Oh my… I didn’t know this. What kind of family functions like this? Not mine!
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/08/27/1124675/-Another-failed-attempt-to-make-Mitt-likeable
Dick comes to mind.
In my family, the elders (80′s & above), disabled, children are served first; everyone else assists those folks then serve themselves.
In the military, the troops ate first, the SNCOs and Officers last.
Glad I’m not in his family…
Me too…..he sounds like a selfish pig…I eat first because I am the head of the family…even if they say grace prior to eating, going to the front of the line not waiting for Ann to sit and eat next to you is just WEIRD. I can see the adults taking care of their families and making sure the youngsters eat and the boys and their spouces eat together. Oooooh…..I wonder if Mitt and ALL the boys eat first and the wimmin feed the children and Ann and the spouses eat last?
Insensitive jerk, arrogant ass, come to my mind, DF.
I think Mrs. Money only allows Willard to think he’s in charge. I’ve checked her out when she’s wearing pants. She’s got bigger cojones.
And Ann Robney will be pushing back on the notion that She has had it good, in life!
Its getting deep!
you mean she hasn’t had a good life? She got married to a rich guy at a young age and has never had a legitimate job outside of the home since. That’s not a good life? She got sick and didn’t have to worry about going bankrupt for substandard care and she hasn’t had it good in life? She doesn’t have to worry about a retirement fund and a mortgage and yet she’s not had it good in life? Bitch, please.
Good evening everyone, Llo, I love the way you have with words:)
http://www.columbiatribune.com/news/2012/aug/28/romneys-reasoning-has-holes/
Will he mention which Planet he will inherit when he dies?
Will he explain why other Mormons are the most vocal in calling for his tax returns?
His father was a Mormon, he didn’t have problem with transparency.
Precisely … and, here’s another Mormon who has no problem with financial disclosure transparency …
It’s Lisaloves fault that I’m late!!! Sheesh, I suppose all the front spots are now occupied.
Oh! Chips Chica, thanks for the pictures in the last post – a terrific recap as I left shortly after the speech.
If this is a real excerpt, I’m already saying Bleh!
“Ann Romney’s Convention Speech — Excerpts ”
http://nationaljournal.com/2012-election/ann-romney-s-convention-speech-excerpts-20120828
According to Greg Sargent on twitter, Ann’s speech is “more emotional” than reported.
So the narrative has been set. Ann’s speech is a success before it has even been given.
it’s more emotion because it’s a boo-hoo, woe is me” bullshit story.
hahahaha – and who else was a carpenter – and back to “poor little me” For someone who is so ill, she seems to be doing quite well .
They know how much people love President Obama – but he and Michele live the life of love – for everyone to see. Mitt – who would ever know.
boo hoo.
she’s supposed to be talking about her husband. why do they always fall back on George Romney? It’s like after George that whole family went to hell and no one else has a good heart felt story to tell because after George, they broke the mold in that family. Fricking corrupt bastards.
I’m sorry Ann, but that excerpt just turned my stomach! Who wrote that! Once again, TMI!!! This is corn and cheez of a very low level!
Jake “the snake” Tapper tries to redeem himself:
That is a lot more than 6k?
13,000
George Robney was Mormon and he released ten years of tax returns. Next?
Wrong — he released 12 years!!!!!!! lol
Ooops! Sorry! I have been out of the loop, working at the OFA office, registering Voters, canvassing and getting the phone Banking going.
Please forgive my ignorance. LOL!
My President is getting a cold! He needs to get some rest for next week.
I know I was thinking the same thing.
I’m fired up!
A-no-ther ‘new’ speech! Pres O’s got his groove going! Lord knows I totally, absolutely, thoroughly LOVE THIS PRESIDENT!!!!!
He cannot not win!!
According to Greg Sargent on twitter, Greg Sargent @ThePlumLineGS
So the narrative has been set. Ann’s speech is a success before it has even been given.
SOME ‘DREAM’
Republicans Approve ‘American Dream’ Platform Banning Abortion, Gay Marriage… Radically Transforms Medicare… Extends Bush Tax Cuts… Guts EPA… Makes English ‘Official National Language’
There’s the platform.
Of course, their nominee has a complete different vision right?….he only represents the party.
When will “those people” stop embarrassing our whole country with all of this, including that “official national language” crap. How cosmopolitan and worldly they are. It’s not even our “original” language, Repukes. Our original languages were known by Native American tribes, until we tried to get them to give them up for our “official national language.” Still at it in 2012. Backward asses.
Gag…
Boehner is slurring his words. I had to turn it off.
Wow, way past Happy Hour I guess.
I like today’s SS guys – very buffed out and protecting our POTUS.
The AP reports:
Misery, thy name is Republican. Spreadin’ the joy.
Wanna LYAO? ThinkProgress is live blogging the convention…that’ll be aboout all I can stomach.
http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2012/08/28/758981/rnc-tuesday/
Here’s a start:
7:15: Speaker Boehner (R-OH) used his favorite refrain — “where are the jobs?” — to attack the Obama administration. The private sector has added 4.5 million jobs during the last 29 months.
7:15 House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) opens primetime with a “guy walks into a bar” routine.
7:00: Herman Cain told Fox News that “the reason you do not have more black faces at this convention, they are working! They are not retired and they may not have the freedom to spend the time to try to go.”
6:58: A member of Mitt Romney’s Hispanic Steering Committee tells ThinkProgress that the candidate will reverse course on his campaign pledge to pursue an immigration strategy of “self-deportation.”
Say Whaaat!
Oops. I must get some more pop corn, this is some show. The unguarded truth comes out.
Oh, they’ve started with the evening events? Who noticed? But it would be a good idea to take a look at a live blog, because I certainly am not watching the liars’ lips moving.
Oh my what a newsflash. Mitt is “reversing his position.” The vane has, once again, turned.
They’re all on script. All speeches written and “approved” by the Willard campaign, even Christie’s—-no one’s risking anyone going off message.
Hope nobody’s usin’ a t-e-l-e-p-r-o-m-p-t-e-r. That would be so PBO-like.
Heh! The irony
Jindal demands more more. Who the hell does that ugly freak think he is talking to? More money from big government.
Schmidt says that the ameriocan peopl have arrived at the conclusion that the President has failed to trun the american economy around…however no mention is made of the GOP Obstruction to everything that the President has tried to do/that in fact the Stimulus did work/
steve schmidt should be holed up in a dark, tiny room somewhere far away from the cameras, still cowering in shame over his choice of Tundra Twit. asshat.
Did you ever notice he hasn’t got much of an upper lip?
I heard that….what a liar..
Beside the fact that he picked Palin, anyone and I mean anyone who voted for that ticket is disqualified for life in giving any opinion on pretty much anything.
To even think of putting that right wing extremist a heart beat away from the presidency was pure madness.
Not that the top of ticket was better……a bitter warmonger with a bad temper…
He can sthu as far as I’m concerned…….
I do not know if i can continue to watch this
“When Mitt and I met and fell in love, we were determined not to let anything stand in the way of our life together.”
=============== especially not honesty, decency, circumspection, human kindness, morality or common courtesy………. mm hm! {{Neck roll}}
Or the preferences of the American voter.
Wait a darn minute….
I thought that when he was in France she started dating around…..
who the hell knows! Their stories are constantly changing.
Go one lisalovesobama.
“When Mitt and I met and fell in love,”
When he was expressing his pride about being born in Michigan, didn’t Mitt say that he and AnnD grew up together and went to school together?
This GOP convention is hilarious.
Reince Priebus: “This is our generation’s rendezvous with Destiny.” Destiny being the stripper he boinked last night.
Destiny!! That’s hilarious!
hahahhahahhahhahahahahhahahahhahahhahahhahhahahahahhahahahahha!!! Nice! I bet she gave him a minus 10 for mounting, positioning, riding, timing and dismount, then charged him an extra $1000 in disgust.
I thought he was a Virgin?
Best one yet!
I notice that Daylife has shut down its photo service to average readers! Rats! So where do I go now to find a picture to add to my tweets SOMETIMES? Any suggestions?
Oooohh, big bummer.
Where is ‘big bummer’? Link?
.
Tee hee hee!
.
You are right. It is a bummer. I have to surf the net now for photos for my scrapbook. It was so convenient to get photos from that site.
Awww damn!!
Another site like the one Meta and COS shared? I notice you all seem to be forgetting to share the link to your suggestions!
Wonder if the seven “blah” people at the last Repuke convention are here this year?
No wonder Knoller is pizzed.
I think Rinse My P***nis and Boner were both a little tipsy and weebly wobbly. The crowd not enthused at all, bunch of elders swinging to big band era music, or fifty type music. Not paying attention to the speakers. The visual will not be good in the morning.
I can’t believe Maine walked out and protested. That was sweet.
Huh, what happened?
They are pissed about the rules change.
Okay, thank you.
Wha wha what?? That can’t look good.
Why did Maine walk out?
The sneaky rules change done by Sununu yesterday…..
They changed the rules so that going forward all delegates have to be locked in to the person that wins the States primary. They are worried that if Mitt wins…2016 will become a nightmare at the individual State conventions
They have nothing to worry about, Mitt won’t win in 2012.
As Maine goes, so goes the Nation?
What time is POTUS speaking in Virginia.
President Obama in Charlottesville, Va.: Live on Wednesday at 3:30pm (ET) on C-SPAN
Wow…..what a mess.
Lovin it ….
And Isaac just made landfall in Southern Louisiana. 80 mph winds, here we go, split screen time!
And Jindahl is complaining that Obama didn’t give him all the emergency stuff he asked for.
- They’re blaming the the acoustics for the lack of enthusiasm. I guess it’s only loud when there’s a game going on.
- Huntsman gave a scathing statement on why he is not attending this convention or any others until they come to their senses.
I do this, so you won’t have to.
Bless you!!!!
LOVE it!!
I can’t stand watching, but I can’t look away.
It’s like I’m driving past fender bender on the highway.
I cannot take 2 more days of this GOP pretend love fest!
Please, make it STOP!
Obama/Biden 2012
Keep those updates coming, I am at the local OFA office eating free Pizza Hut, someone sent us.
Good benefits!
Oh, well.

Wait, I wasn’t in Virginia today.
LOL!! Too funny!
LOL!!!
Whatever works!
I thought the formula was just one-2-one, didn’t realize ‘hot guys’ had to be involved. Better send word to FLOTUS that she omitted a part of the formula.
I was not in VA today there either!!!
Republican National Convention: Night 1 — @LOLGOP Liveblog
BREAKING: The GOP accidentally nominates the guy who created ObamaCare.
August 28th, 2012 6:07 pm
@LOLGOP

Country singer singing “I Built That” in a building financed by the government. Oh the irony.
As someone said, wear a weight belt if you’re going to try and carry a tune.
- Token female on the stage New hampshire Sen Ayotte. Starts off with the PBO never ran a lemonade stand. True that, he ran Bin Laden into the ocean.
- they continue to party like it’s 1899
I do this, so you won’t have to
Cookemom, I saw that and instantly turned the channel because I felt my blood pressure rising.
The women lie just as much as the men.
ah, hang in there. It’s more funny than blood curling.
That’s what my sis ter said. lol
I would be interested to see them pan the convention center tonight during Ms. Ann’s whinefest. [I just cannot imagine that her appearance will create any kind of excitement, even among Republicans.] Also, when this is over, I would like to know the comparison between the viewership for the RNC versus the DNC.
Amen.
Amen vitaminlover. All prayer as well as work will make for victory. Thank you !! Yes we can !!
Amen.
- HUH? Kasick (sp) Ohio says something about not liking black eyed peas and having a feeling they’re about to elect a new president. WTF!?! Now he’s bragging about the great turn around of Ohio’s economy. Hmmm, wonder if he’ll mention the auto bailout that saved them.
- MSNBC doing good job tearing down each speakers speechifying. Chuck on the floor is even challenging the folks who come up to the mike
- I think most everyone have convened to the bars and strip clubs, only a handful of cheers.
I do this so you won’t have to.

Here’s another pic of empty seats during Roll Call (used to be the highlight of conventions).
Hey, that worked (the picture posted with the comment). Gonna try again with Jake the Snake’s tweet:
well, one out of two ain’t so bad.
You sound like a wonderful and inspiring teacher carolyn. Your students are lucky. I enjoy language as well, but don’t judge that by my writing. LOL
Sure we see it in your writing – you enjoy playing with words, and you enjoy humour, and when you are serious you enjoy ideas and truth. It all comes through.
Aww shucks vcprezofan2. You’re too kind. ‘Cuse me, off to pick up my pulitzer.
Carolyn–Your reading Prison Studies is such a good use of time. Your mind is expanding, while the convention delegates minds are dumbing further down with each minute.
Also this, re: R-money shopping at Cost Co:
You beat me to it! Was just about to post this! lol
VP going to Detroit for Labor Day Parade-
http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20120828/POLITICS01/208280411/1361/Biden-plans-stop-in-Detroit-for-Labor-Day-parade–rally
I sincerely hope that at the Dem Convention there is made mention of the TRAITOROUS GOP Congressional members who met on Inauguration nite and hatched a plan of obstruction…a plan to obstruct the President even if it meant that the country would fail….altho they knew that the middle clas swould lose…they knew that millionaires and billionaires would be ok….
i hope that there is mentioned how they voted down the President’s Jobs Bill….guranteeing no JOBS for teachers…fire fighters…and construction workers….
i hope that there is mention in detail what they Ryan Budget is about….the destruction of Medicare and Medicaid
i hope there is mention of voter suppresstion and the GOP attempt to disenfranchise folks of color…seniors….students….
i hope that there is mention of the attack on women….
We do not have to use lies and distortions …the truth is on our side…
i look forward to our convention….
FORWARD>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Uh oh, Chris Mathews veering off again. Ed and Rev Al trying to reel him back in. Whew, got him just in time, he’s now back in line.
What did he veer off to, or where did he veer off to?
He started praising Kasich speech as a sincere one from a regular, blue collar white guy. Ed and the Rev pounced and Chris back tracked in a hurry. He remembers all those tweets and emails the other day and decided he’d not want to go too far off that message.
Chris is gathering material for a book. That’s all.
Cookemom keep it coming. You know I don’t have the stomach for that mess but your commentary has me howling with laughter in here. Hubby thinks I’ve lost my mind (again).
- Gov McDonnell, Gov Va brags on jobs in VA, no mention it’s due to all the government jobs located there. He really wanted the VP slot but then decided to endorse vajayjay probes.
- Next up Scott Walker, Wisc. I don’t think even I can do that one. But then again, it’s a sacrifice….I’ll take one for the TOD team….so you won’t have to. Holding nose jumping in. I’ll be back after a shower.
I appreciate the panel on MSNBC, with all of their varying opinions, adding perspective and pushing back on the un-checked lies being spewed from that stage. It’s nice to see them all there working as a team. I’d rather be watching them with Charlotte in the background:) That’ll be next week.
Overall, this convention feels a little “amateur hour” ‘ish.
Everything about it seems second rate. Is it just me?
Obama/Biden 2012
No it’s not you. The attendees are lackluster. The speakers are horrible and hardly ever mention the candidate. teh only time there’s a semblance of life is when they mention PBO. They’re blaming it on the acoustics.
Okay, refreshments time! You TOD reporters have been working without a break, and I’m on the refreshments committee, so here you go!
Is this real???
Unbelievable. I was going to post this too. Makes me feel sick. I can only tolerate Twitter and TOD. Be glad when the week is over.
Stay classy repubs! And they say the GOP snt racist! What a jackass!!
- Now Ann not only have to buoy her husband, but carry these bozos as well.
Ezra has lost his mind…
OK, so that proves Ezra is a hologram beamed in by Curiosity.
FYI…The Food Network has a Chopped marathon going on right now until 2 a.m.
Just in case
Can’t wait til the lichfish episode, hmmmm yummmy
And of course there is the Weather Channel 24/7 complete coverage of Hurricane Isaac doing its part to knock down the Republican Convention. That’s channel 362 on Dircet TV.
Must be hard to serve the ungrateful swine that are GOP. Hope the vendors are making good profits:
ATTENTION: Please follow the Obama Truth Team on Twitter. They’re live-tweeting the convention and debunking ALL LIES: https://twitter.com/truthteam2012
Agreed. Get on to it, TOD’ers and RT their great tweets. Get on the message wagon.
Lordy Lordy, you are back! {{Amk}} – Some people really missed you! /Not me of course cause you can be so annoying with that wimmin stuff./
You get the whole package you ask for. No choosy, choosy. (or picky, picky either).
Can’t help it, it’s ingrained!
That is exactly what my mother used to call me as a child – picky, picky – though it was in relation to food.
Don’t know if this is true:
David Shuster
@DavidShuster
GOP attendee ejected for throwing nuts at African American CNN camera woman + saying “This is how we feed animals.” @TakeActionNews #TAN
uh oh….I say, Uh Oh…..
RNC perspective from Ohio Dem:
Has anyone else seen a report of this and ,if so, what is CNN saying about it? If true , it is absolutely outrageous.
I’ve seen Anthea Butler on MSNBC as a contributor — MHP’s show, I think.
Ok somebody pick me up off the floor. Santorum up now to attack the blah people on welfare. The 8 blah folks in the audience have gotten hall passes so that they can be excused from this portion of the festivities.
hahahahahaha…..
I think the REV will have a few comments
FYI…Serena is playing in the U.S. Open on ESPN2.

I watched that earlier today and it was a hot mess. lolololol I loved every part of that.
BWAHHHHH! So it wasn’t me! No mention of Mitt or Ryan that I heard. Just let’s all join hands.
Great Iowa and Colorado crowds. Great to see yunguns. It’s their future that the thugs are trying to sell off to corrupt billionaires.
I love Obama with college crowds. It’s a perfect fit.
Awww I missed you. Glad you fixed the computer problem
GM donna and dotster. “I didn’t fix it”.
The obama crowd is enthusiastic. The mittbot mob is rabid.
I wonder how can the campaign push back strongly on this big lie? It has been debunked over and over.
Pray tell, is Ezra Klein getting a tingle up his skinny-ass nerd leg for Frothy?
Am watching the Republican convention again. Santorum is using his teleprompter and his delivery still sucks. lolololol
Shorter Rick: god, anti-abortion, all men are created equal blah blah blah.
Obama took work out of welfare
In November we have a chance to vote for life and liberty and not dependency.
A vote for Willard and Paul is a vote to keep the dream alive.
Very boring.
Chris Matthews, “Santorum used government funds from Virginia to homeschool his children. Everyone should remember this about this guy.”
Chris is NOT PLAYIN’
Appreciate the reports. I cannot stomach watching. Plus, I’m working and doing odds and ends things and watching HGTV!
Some Republican women wish men would just shut up
http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/08/28/us-usa-campaign-women-idUSBRE87R1C420120828
Nutty nuts on parade
If your drinking game is based on how many times you hear Bush W or Bush HW or even Reagan, you’ll be able to get to work tomorrow headache free. As a matter of fact you can invite the kiddies to play along. If your drinking game includes hearing Mitt, Romney, Ryan, Paul, then send the kids to bed, but you’re still safe for work. If however, the game is based on the word ‘hands’ you’re in deep poo about now.
HAHAHAHA! The late night comedians will have plenty material to work with from the RNC convention.

Rev Al :
- “no anthropologist in the world can find the ‘blah’ people of whom Santorum speak.”
- “if marriage is the solution to joblessness and reducing welfare, then we should just hold mass weddings in Central Park”
Cookemom:
“Mitt who?”
I finally got Home from a good Day at OFA office, I turn in MSNBainC and all the Liberals are going off on Santorum, also, it looks like Steve smith is going to cry!
Romney camp tries to lower expectations for convention “bump”
http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/08/28/us-usa-campaign-romney-idUSBRE87Q17E20120828
Artur Davis on and is getting booed. He’s asking for a second to explain himself. A second should just about do it.
Boooooooooo!!!
Maybe it was a term of endearment.
Preparing for the faux news job like zell miller.
So they can’t tolerate even the token black, even if he is a craven boot licker ?
Serena’s at 6-1, 5-1… one game left and the match is OVAH!
Done deal!
Go Serena. This week Kim Clijsters said Serena is the greatest player ever. I totally agree. Fedex and Serena – the bestest evah.
Agreed. Except Federer is totally an alien. He just throws in a few losses here an there to keep people from getting too suspicious, but I know the truth.
LOL. He is Borg 2.0.
Nikki Haley for Voter Suppression.
Why unofficial ? It’s official.
What time does Anne Romney speak tonight
Ha!

Fake, Fake Fake. Her delivery sucks.
You have to watch.
forgot to stock air sickness bags so I’ll just wait for the tweets … which by the way are practically flying off the screen now that #PityPrincessAnn is yakking ….
Urp!
Oh my god, Mormon Marilyn is on the stage. Can she be any more air headed? “tonight I want to talk about Love”? Ha!
Why don’t Queen Ann talk about her husband policies? I don’t give a blank about her and that lying husband romance.
I think she made a slip when she was speaking, but still….seriously.
What is she talking about? Oh…… Emphasis on women. She’s so dumb. It’s like she’s going for a cross between Tundra Twit and Oprah.
Groceries and gas at the pump used to be free? Since when?
When were groceries and gas free?
Love Train
People all over the world Join hands Start a love train, love train
The next stop that we make will be soon Tell all the folks in Russia, and China, we’re sending jobs to you…
People all over the world …you don’t need no money (and you won’t get any) Join hands come on Start a love train, love train
All of you brothers over in Africa or in America, uhhhh, nevermind – Ojay’s via cookemom
Women whose husband isn’t worth 250 million want to be able to go to Parent Planned hood for their healthcare.
She’s such a liar. No way she was as poor as she’s letting on. What a liar.
Why you think she and Mitt fit so well, both are liars.
Tweety still doesn’t like Willard.
Ok. Gotta go. A busy day today with incoming german visitors. So will leave you with this. (warning to vc, don’t read it).
And oh yeah, fuck the thugs and their media shills.
A man and his ever-nagging wife went on vacation to Jerusalem. While they were there, the wife passed away. The undertaker
told the husband, “You can have her shipped home for $5,000, or you can bury her here, in the Holy Land, for $150.” The man
thought about it and told him he would just have her shipped home.
The undertaker asked, “Why would you spend $5,000 to ship your wife home, when it would be wonderful to be buried here and
you would spend only $150?”
The man replied, “Long ago a man died here, was buried here, and three days later he rose from the dead. I just can’t take
that chance.”
Did Colson mention Andrea Mitchell ‘s husband Alan Greenspan? No we know why she loves Paul Ryan and the GOP.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaahahahahahhahahahahahahahahhahahhahahhahahhahhahahhahahahhahahahahahhahahhahahhahahhahahhahahhahhahhahahhahhahhahahhahhahhahahhahhahahhahahahhahahhahahahhahahhahahahhahahahhahahhahbahahahhahhahahhahahhahahhahahhahbahahhaahahhahahhahhahahahhahahhahahhahhhahahhahhahahhahahahhahhahahhahahhahahhahahahhahahhahahhaahhahhahaahhahhahhahahahahhahahhhahahhahahhahahahhahhahahhahhahhahahha!!!!!!!
She’s on stage lying about Willard’s resume. Fricking liar.
Will she quit jabbing her finger at everyone?
There’s Condi standing and applauding as Ann swears we can trust Mitt. He loves America, just not paying his fair share of taxes.
Condi is such an idiot.
Where’s Condi’s man, G.W. Bush?
Tonight’s the off night. Monday thru Thursday’s are wifey nights Friday thru Sunday’s are for The Sidepiece.
Michelle Obama will wipe the floor with her.
No competition.
You dam right lisa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And Tweety says that she is a great public speaker….
At least he didn’t start talking about tingling. That woman was horrible. Sistuh Moose is more coherent.
it was pretty bad lisalovesobama
Ann says just trust Mitt. No way she jumped that high bar set up for her. She looked like a deer in headlights. She was nervous, but not sincere imo. Did nothing to advance the narrative of Mitt the warm-hearted
Miss Ann says She grew up like Oliver Twist. Well, close… Then, when I met Mutt, he saw I was hungry and I asked him for some porridge, he said, you want more? LOL!
What a joke! If People fall for this then they are stupid!
She should have said times were so tough that we had five kids and I never had to get a job outside of the home.
That was pure Grade A nonsense. I don’t see anyone buying it.
The folks didn’t cheer because they liked it, they cheered to be polite and they know we were watching.
Chris says Mitt joined Ann on stage on wheels, still stiff and like a coneheaded non-earthling. Ann’s a real person he says and she showed him more love than he showed her. Lawrence felt like me, from the floor observation nothing spontaneous from the crowd. Everything on cue.
OK hide your twinkies, Chrispy up.
Lawry said the reaction of the crowd to Mrs. Money was nothing compared to Tundra Twitt. Hahahahahahaha—– what did I tell you?! Christie got a bigger round of applause!
Now Cristie I just can’t tolerate….
Crispy starts off bragging about himself. We know he’s there to tear PBO a new one, but let’s see if he’ll mention Mitt. He’s no friend of Mitts. This is his audition speech for the 2016 nomination. Wait……his dad used the GI Bill to get through college? Hold the phone Andy, wasn’t that a gubmint handout?
Thank you all SO MUCH for watching this – I. just. can’t.
Christie is trying to bridge the gap with “average” Americans.
I think he fell on that bridge and it broke.
You folks are STALWART to watch that pure fecal spewing………. Me no can do. Just watch…..anything….nothing…..
Exactly Bob!
So after Ann goes on and on about the need to love and be loved. This critter comes on right after her and says we don’t need love. Love is an excuse. We’re going to take our country back without loving nobody. It’s respect, not love and dammit you gonna respect me and love it. Can you say, ‘how bout I step all over Ann’s message?’ So far it’s all about the helicopter riding cowboy from Jersey. Maybe he’ll get around to Mitt before his stomach starts growling.
Let’s see how the MSM eats up Queen Ann, and claim what a great job she did humanizing Mitt.
Mike Barnacle tweet-
“Good thing for Obama campaign it is not running against Ann Romney. She is knocking it out of the park.”
But but but you guys said Miss Ann sucked…
jovie141, who is Mike Barnacle?
a character from Sponge Bob?
I’ll just post my link and if anyone wants to watch the stink off after Ms Anne’s lying speech please feel free to drop a few here: https://donate.barackobama.com/page/outreach/view/2012/donnanoshock3

“I don’t know about you, but I don’t want my children and grandchildren to have to read in a history book what it was like to live in an American Century.” Whaaaat? That’s what he said. Maybe he should be more concerned that his grandchildren don’t find out what a dummy he is. Not to worry he won’t be too much longer. He got tired from just walking to the stage. There’s not much wind left, and the canapes are calling from the back room.

10.50 pm. After a night of categorical lies, Christie tells us to face the truth.
10.49 pm. Chris Christie is attacking politicians who attack!
10.46 pm. As Christie proudly declares that he’s a momma’s boy, have you noticed how many moms there have been mentioned tonight? This is an entire evening geared toward narrowing the gender gap a little. And perpetuating lies.

Interesting!
