Am watching Chris Matthews currently and he has on two foreign affairs specialists. I have an eiry feeling about the Jimmy Carter comparison and the embassy protests with Romney pushing weakness and these comparisons. Remember we found out later that Reagan’s people made a deal with Iran to not release the prisoners until after his Inauguration? I hope the not adding up part and the coincidences do not represent GOP monkey business. Who is the movie maker? I hope he is not tied to the GOP somehow.

Obama Grandmama is not comparing PBO to Carter – she is saying that the MEDIA & GOP are trying (albeit unsuccessfully) to create a scenario reminiscent of Jimmy Carter and Iran. But I agree with Obama Grandmama that we might find out (at some point) that the movie maker is tied to the GOP.
The truth is that Obama is NOT Carter; Romney is not Reagan, and most importantly 2012 is NOT 1980. Whatever the GOP (and their friends in the military, or MSM) are trying or hoping for, it WON’T work. It will not help Mitt Romney win in Nov.

There’s ALL KINDS of wrong going on with Mitt and the poison that has been coming out of his mouth, especially the last 48 hours.
- His first statement, using the word “ATTACKS” (note the pural), was released after the Cairo Embassy statement, but BEFORE any knowledge of the attacks on Benghazi were released. Mitt is NOT briefed on anything at this point. He had no access to any official information. HOW DID HE KNOW? He also made the colossal mistake of using the plural of ATTACK. At the time, the only ATTACK that had occurred was in Libya. HOW DID HE KNOW THERE WOULD BE MORE?
- His first statement not only LIED about the sitting President Of The United States, it LIED about the statement itself, saying it was an apology, when it clearly wasn’t.
- His press conference on 9/12 doubled-down on the LIE, while he SMIRKED, then walked away HAPPY, SMIRKING, even though a US Ambassador, along with three other Americans, and ten Libyans were dead.
- Sheldon Adelson is Mitt’s biggest donor.
- Sheldon Adelson wants a war with Iran more than anything on Earth (along with a Presidential Pardon for international money laundering, other illegal activities with the Chinese mafia….. and God knows what else at this point.)
- Mitt is STILL LYING. Even after being called out by 90% of the GOP.
- There is talk all over the news that these attacks were orchestrated, and planned, with the (really bad video fail) as a false cause to hide behind.
- Who funded the (video fail)?
- Who funded the terrorists and armed them?
- Why is Mitt trying to instill a sense of weakness regarding the government he wants to run, especially when there are not only Americans in harm’s way, but foreign civilians who actually LIKE US NOW because of President Obama?
- Why is Mitt trying to BUY the Presidency?
- Why doesn’t Mitt care that he fails to show one shred of decency or empathy?

Those of us who track Tweets from Egypt and Libya knew stuff was happening well before the corporate US media mentioned anything but it’s unlikely that that was #SmirkinMitt’s resource, but it still would not explain the timing of his statement as you note above.
We asked the same question a few threads back about the timeline of R’s statement and the attacks….I’m so glad I didn’t read that wrong….Why isn’t anyone not making an issue of this…..he also kept calling Lybia’s attack on embassy when it was a consulate b/c it’s not the capital…I’m not a conspiracy theorist but damn, this is really WIERD……

The WSJ/Marist numbers are through last Tuesday and are considered part of the DNC bounce. That still doesn’t include Mitt’s horrible week. So as bad as these numbers are for Mitt, they’re going to be worse after yesterday. Clinton is getting the credit for the improved right track/wrong track numbers, who cares. That’s not the case of course, but if it makes the pundits happy, oh well.
Senate races in Ohio and Florida look good for Sherrod and Nelson, not as well for Kaine in Virginia.
We still have to volunteer and donate as if we’re 20 points down.
Actually, I don’t buy the “DNC convention bounce” meme. That’s not the whole story. While I do believe there was a bounce, I actually think the numbers were better than we were being led to think – even before the DNC convention. If I recall, there was a lot of finagling with the cross tabs, and using some shady and undisclosed “likely voter” methodology to low ball PBO’s numbers in the weeks prior to the convention.
The MSM now feels comfortable giving Clinton credit for something he really didn’t cause – that’s fine. But what we’re seeing is that the polls are now conforming to what the actual figures will be in November.
Which many of us have been saying on Twitter for a few months, especially JeffersonObama. This is 2008 again, not 2010; and 2010 won’t happen again for a generation, if ever.
In addition, if these numbers are through Tuesday then only Michelle had spoken at that point during the convention. It has not factored in Bill, Joe or Barack’s speeches. Not to mention Mitt’s horrible week. Forward folks. We have to keep working. There is a phone bank at my house this Saturday calling battleground states.
The numbers are based on polling done from Sun (sep 9) through this Tuesday (Sep 11). So the polling factored in the entire convention plus the few days following the convention.

Well, since Chips hasn’t been here since the 13 million mark turned, I will repeat myy suggestion of earlier. She will, rightfully, ask for $13 donations for PBO. I will, in addition, ask for $13 contributions for people running for Congress who can back up PBO for the next 4 years. The DCCC is looking at 60 districts currently with GOP critters that they consider in play We need to flip 25 of them. Let’s make sure they have the funds to flip even more. Give to th DCCC or DSCC or go to their sites to see who can use some funds and give directly or though Act Blue. We3 can do this. Duckworth just got my $13.

An individual can donate up to 2300 (I think, may be 2500) total up until PBO accepted the nomination. That money goes into the primary pot. After his acceptance any monies, up to another 2300 goes in the general election pot. Never the two shall meet. I think PBO can direct funds to help downstream candidates with the money as well. It’s not automatic as I understand it. I’m open to be corrected.

Fallon – who is obviously a Democrat who would love to kiss the hem of President Obama’s pants (to which I say, get in line) – stifled a GUFFAW and said, warming up? But if he’s going to win, shouldn’t he be HOT right about now?? Gregory smirked and then went on to say well, businessmen favor Romney because Romney is so much better for the economy. There were about 2 people in the whole theater who clapped half-heartedly. OMG – what a hideous display of RW talking points, completely partial to Romney. I’m like OMFG! NOT NOW! NOT AROUND ALL THESE PEOPLE! lmfaoooooo. I was totally caught off guard!

Then he said “I heard you’re a ball player.” I said yeah I used to play on a team with boys b/c I’m so aggressive. He said “well there ya go.” LOL. It’s all fuzzy now but he told me he hopes to see me out on the campaign trail soon. I said YEAH I HOPE SO! Then I told him I was at the Easter Egg Roll this year and I shook his hand but he meets so many people that he probably wouldn’t remember me. He laughed. Omg his laugh is so cute.

You have no idea how thrilled I am. I have followed Michelle Kwan since she was little. Think I have every one of her skates on tape and still watch them…..He is a lucky man and I am so happy for her.
Me too. She caught my eye when all the Nancy Kerrigan/ Tonya Harding crap was going on. I remember thinking “forget those heifers, look at that little girl… she’s amazing!” Then she blossomed into the legendary skater that she became. I was so proud of her, like she a member of my family. She’s such a lovely young woman. Always represented this country with the upmost poise and grace. Obama will win this election (All models and polling are clearly pointed in that direction), and contrary to this article, those remaining “undecided” voters are not going to decide the election. Even if they all vote for Romney he will still lose.
Articles like these are designed to convince people that the race is still tight, and possibly to try to erode a few voters from PBO. It’s also a MSM ratings pitch and a peddling of Mitt Romney as a competitive candidate when he isn’t.

I sent the same tweet to several groups that follow @GeorgiaDemocrats. Tweet was sent 3 or 4 times with multiple groups twitter names in each. Based on that link that they sent, I think the problem isn’t that I was following too many people, it’s that I wasn’t yet following all of the groups that I mentioned. At least that’s how I interpret the thing. We’ll see how they respond to my reply.
In this case, even if you were following all of them, the rate at which you were using @ reply was detected to be outside the algorithmic limits and that triggered the suspension.
Just assure them that you will comply and in the future just pace the @ reply and the number of recipients in each tweet and you should be fine.

The stopgap measure, $1.047 trillion in total, now goes to the Senate for a vote. Without the so-called continuing resolution, the government faces a threat of shutdown when the fiscal year ends on Sept. 30.
The temporary measure is needed because lawmakers didn’t finish a full budget in time for the new fiscal year. House lawmakers voted 329 to 91 to approve it.

Yes, Bill was able to explain the policy in detail (again it was a masterful job) but truthfully PBO has been pretty good explaining his policy as well and he even used the phrase “it’s math” or something like that, in a stump speech before WJC used “arithmetic” at the DNC. And who can forget his smackdown of Paul Ryan last year? Well, apparently the media. I’m convinced that the media doesn’t really listen to what PBO says on the stump. About the only thing PBO didn’t include in his speeches was the info about what Ryan plan would do to medicaid but he’s been pretty much saying what Bill said for a while if not in the same amount of detail. The real message problem has always been with his surrogates and even Bill himself at times has been off message. I just don’t like this meme that the press is building mainly because they can never seemed to give PBO credit. When he wins they will say its because of Bill and not because he ran a masterful campaign. I have no problem giving WJC credit for a great speech but they seem to forget that PBO has been leading in the polls for pretty much the entire summer…

THey are psychologically very fragile and cannot give a black man credit for being an amazing politician. It helps them sleep at night by creating a fantasy whereby PBO owes his reelection to Bill Clinton. The MSM has been talking about PBO’s failure to get his message across to the public ever since he took office (never mentioning their own role in the situation). You are correct that Clinton merely said what PBO has been saying for months and added the word “arithmatic”. Maybe they do ignore what PBO says, since they won’t report it anyway why bother.
