PBO and SOS Hillary Clinton have such mutually respect for each other. I imagine that the President sees the same strength and determination in Mrs. Clinton that was in the two women that helped shape him.
Serious question: When did I start liking American football? Now between that and my beloved English soccer, I might be completely useless this fall and winter.
Excuuuuuuuuuuuuse Me. I am an Alabama fan … born and raised … and my football affinities extend well beyond that … pro football the Tennessee Titans, Green Bay Packers, NY Jets … it is not crap … it is American football … a heritage.
Oh, oh Peyton Manning, my lovely neighbor across the road root for him .. he could be playing in an all
Girl ping pong tournament and it would not matter .. she’d still root for him. Funny, yes?
Yes, that is funny. I probably would do the same. LOL. HOWEVER——he is a Republican. I still am a Peyton fan though. That entire family is class. I’m not so sure Eli has the same political leaning as Peyton……think he may lean left.
You noticed, eh Bobfr? I just chuckled. I sure hope his wifey has an updated insurance policy on him, ’cause one of these days he’s not going to be able to duck and/or run fast enough.
It was a rout! As much as I want the Tide to win, sometimes I am uncomfortable with the total rout. Now, if they were playing Auburn, or Tennesse today and scored that much … well … so be it! You get my drift?
I need to take out my displeasure on someone (I slumped from 5th to 8th on that Fantasy leaderboard today), so I’m holding YOU personally responsible, you Chelski-loving infidel.
A nice man ass is nice, whether it’s in sweat pants, shorts, or tights in a ballet. The nice thing about soccer is, most of their faces are actually sexy too.
His wife is exquisite as well. They should breed immediately. He has some nice ink too.
And this is the Wilhelm Scream – trust me – it’s awesomely HILARIOUS – and once you hear it, you can’t unhear it, and it’s in almost every action film ever made.
I did not. I was pretty much wiped out last night. Long long week at work. I hope MLS starts getting more foreign players. Sad to say, but NSCAA does not produce the best footballers. The MLS teams need to beef up their academies.
BRING IT ON….FIRED UP AND READY TO VOTE…HOWEVER…BEFORE THEN…I AM WAITING WITH ANTICIPATION FOR THOSE LOVELY DEBATES WHERE I KNOW PBO WILL BE CARRYING A GRANDIOSE FLYSWATTER! GOODNIGHT ALL…HAVE A BLESSED EVENING!…:)
My old koot computer is hampering me from tweeting and WordPress thwarts me all the time. On twitter, it freezes up every time I start writing, no more than two words and it freezes up and give me a silly message, something about a script is running do you want to continue, yada, yada. I have to go to my word document, write what I want, copy and paste it before my message is tweeted. And when I try to reply to someone else’s tweet, it freezes and gives me the same stoopid message. OY.
On WP, I have to log in twice to comment here. Yikes. Any computer whiz here can tell me if there is anything I can do about that silly message?
Oh, Hi everyone. Hi Chips, and CONGRATULATIONs on the millions of hits. And thanks for all you do to keep us abreast of the happenings. My sister, who lives in Maryland, an avid PBO supporter has been lurking and loves TOD.
I’ve been having that script problem too recently, it usually happens when I have a whole bunch of applications running and a lot of Firefox windows open – I’m expecting to see smoke come out of my laptop any moment All I can do is restart Firefox and close a few things, that usually solves it.
Just not sure about the WP problem, anyone out there who can help??
Hey, Chips. Thanks. I am notorious for having several windows open at a time. I will consider closing them and see if that works for me. I will definitely tell my sis you sent her a shout out. She volunteers in Silver Spring and is faithful about fulfilling her two days. She loves herself some PBO.
Thanks, again, Chips.
Hi Africa, I have that same problem!! OMG it’s horrible and it just started on Twitter a few days ago. On Twitter it lets me write about 2 words and then it freezes up with that script error and I have to close out everything. I can retweet but not tweet. It also freezes up with that same script error on TOD but I hit “yes” and then it at least lets me continue. On Twitter I am completely stymied. I thought it was only me. I use Internet Explorer. Anyone know a cure? I can’t use Firefox or Google Chrome because those interfere with my work software.
Wow, Forus50, it is the exact same thing that happens to me. I can retweet, too, but just stuck after that. It is very annoying. When it started on twitter, I thought that twitter was kicking me out or something. Whew, it is maddening.
Thank you for posting about it! Up until I saw your comment I had run 2 virus scans and figured it was because people on Twitter had private or blocking or some such. LOL. Shit, it was just internet explorer bugs. I actually just tweeted a whole long sentence without it freezing up!
amk —ok I thought it did but just installed google Chrome as my browser. Fingers crossed that friggin script error doesn’t appear…yet. Try this africa. https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/
oh chrome is a good browser. I hate it for its privacy issues and the buncha crap it leaves behind after you browse. FF cleans us after itself. I suggest you also install Ccleaner and run it after close the browser. It will clean all the residual crap of chrome.
Hmmm, there’s no place to reply to your latest comment below so doing it up here! Here’s a recent tweet unobstructed by Internet Explorer!!

Good! If anyone needs time to refuel and regroup, it is this hard-working president with the weight of the world on his shoulders. He deserves a breather more than anyone.
President Obama reminds me of my late husband in one way, my second son too. Each of them work very hard but play hard too. No lazing around for them, infact staying still seemed to not be an option with my husband and now not with my son either. It seems to me that PBO is always on the go too whether it is work or play. .
October 3rd is POTUS and FLOTUS 20th wedding anniversary. Maybe after POTUS kick Romney lying ass, POTUS and FLOTUS will have a private dinner, or maybe the day before the debate, October 2nd.
I am waiting to see what other excuse the MSM and Mitt’s folks will have. At first, we were told he would turn the corner after his trip to Europe and the Middle East — DUD. OK, then his wife was going to humanize him and after the convention he would have rocketed to the top, Meh. And then someone fooled him and told him to get all Foreign Policy geeky, Nada.
So, now they rest their last hope on the debates. Can’t wait for this one.

In Grand Rapids, Jill Biden told Democrats that her husband and President Barack Obama are looking out for them. In return, she says “it’s time that we have their backs.”
Biden visited a campaign office Saturday, kicking off door-to-door visits in Grand Rapids neighborhoods. Her schedule included a similar stop in Battle Creek and a visit with students at Kalamazoo College.

Jon Huntsman never had a chance at ever measuring up to or even coming close to defeating President Obama…
Contrary to Jon Huntsman’s own delusions – fueled and aided by a few disgruntled PUMA’s and the very same hacks in the media who at various times also embraced in unison and promoted Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, Rick Perry, Jeb Bush and Chris Christie – for a variety of head-scratching reasons, which they all insisted made these small, fatally flawed, hollow and sorely deficient men prime presidential material. and to the complete bemusement of smart discerning people, better than President Obama…

Former Romney Adviser on Libya: “They Stepped in It”
Noam Scheiber
——————————————-
All of which raises the question: What was Team Romney thinking? I’m not really sure, but I happened to speak this morning to a senior Romney adviser from a previous campaign who offered his own theory. According to this person, Romney may have been feeling defensive over the hazing he took in Charlotte last week–“my opponent and his running mate are new to foreign policy,” the president tweaked him—and was primed to hit back. “They set him up Thursday night at the convention with the smack down on foreign policy,” says the former adviser. “They called him naïve, Palin-esque. Then he got his back up about it and was waiting for opportunity to show, ‘I’m strong, too.’”
The adviser has no direct, inside knowledge of the campaign’s thinking on this matter. But he does have a good read on Romney–a man with a healthy sense of pride, and who’s already invested in the idea of Obama as an appeaser. It was the only plausible explanation the adviser could think of for how “they stepped in it,” in his words. “I always thought it was a one-two punch [by the Obama campaign],” the adviser continued. “Punch one was Thursday night. Punch two would be in the foreign policy debate. To cast Romney as naïf, an empty suit on foreign policy, and tie him to Bush—as a puppet of the bow-tied hawks of the Bush administration. … This intervening event was gravy.”
Amk, my only half concern about the debates is that PBO will be so utterly irritated by that smirking weasel that he’ll deck him with a right hook. Actually, on second thoughts, that would be quite pleasant. So, strike what I said.
Mitt Romney’s Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Campaign
By William Galston
——————————-
But, astoundingly, his convention managed to achieve precisely the opposite of what it needed to. The Republican convention was a three-day display of what the Republican Party has become, and by the end of it, Americans viewed Romney, not just as an individual, but as the standard-bearer of his party. Only 36 percent of those who listened to or watched the Republican convention said that it made them more likely to vote for Romney, versus 46 percent less likely. As far back as 1984, there is no precedent for a convention that repels more voters than it attracts. Indeed, during the past three decades, national conventions have generated—on average—a positive response (more likely minus less likely) of 18 percentage points. So while the impact of the Democratic convention (plus 10) was below average, the Republicans managed to stage the least effective convention in modern political history.
And that disastrous convention was soon reflected in the polls. On September 5, the average of national polls showed the candidates in a dead heat at 46.8 percent of the popular vote; by the 13th, Obama’s support had risen to an average of 48.6 percent, while Romney’s fell to 45.3 percent, and Obama had moved out to a lead of 3.3 points. (Recent reports suggest that the Democrats backed up their convention with a pedal-to-the-metal advertising barrage in battleground states.)
Galston is not very Happy with Romney’s campaign. He was one of the people predicting that Obama will be one term president if the GOP nominated Romney.

On Tuesday, Ann Romney will host a fundraising luncheon for her husband’s campaign in George W. Bush’s Dallas home. I’m sure it’ll have everything: Finger sandwiches, impeccable place settings, some nice chilled wine, a fleet of quiet minorities to serve the food…what a perfect afternoon! Not a single thing is missing. Except…
Romney campaign aides said Thursday they were unsure whether former president Bush would appear at the lunchtime event at his home, or at a separate finance event with Romney later that evening at a Dallas hotel. A Bush spokesperson did not immediately return a request for comment on the former president’s schedule, but one Texas Republican close to Bush said he will be in Dallas on Tuesday.
So they didn’t invited G.W. to the RNC, now they are having a fundraiser in his home and he won’t even be there. Who cares? Maybe Ann can complain to Laura about how much people are picking on her liar husband.

President Obama has said over and over that he plays a long game – not a short one. He’s seeing the pay off of patiently delivering a consistent message and focusing on the ground game and implementation of a good plan.
The messaging got much better, Dem’s got behind the message and the polls went up. Wish this had happened in 2010 and there never would have been a debt ceiling debacle and we would have been closer to a jobs bill.
When this President gets in front of an issue and the party supports him, they can’t beat us.
people are starting to feel a lot of the affects……kids staying on parents company paid health insurance through 26yrs old, donut hole closing, refunds from insurance companies, no longer being denied coveraged due to pre existing conditions, no co-pays for contraceptives and wellness care…..people are getting it.
Maybe she’ll reply and let all of us know that it’s a little trinket that is WELL over $15,000! How DARE you think I got this at Walmart! Though the family ARE good friends of ours!
She even smirks like Mitt – I wonder if either of them realize how devastating this campaign has been – continues to be – on their image world wide. They will be bitter for a long time – when all Mitt had to do was enjoy his new house – and his grandchildren.

guess #1: dick cheney’s group
guess #2: bush family and associates
guess #3: nutandyahoo’s cabal
guess #4: sheldon adelson
guess #5: all the above
the moment this happened i figured it’s some sort of “dark-ops” mission. the cabal has been freaking out in recent years since they’re losing all their tried and true boogeymen, which they need to have their various “wars” and make those billions of dollars from taxpayer money. they’re holding steady with their iran boogeyman so far, and this is being done to help stoke that one, and the “muslims” boogeyman in general.
seems coordinated with the 14 minute “movie” doesn’t it, and the re-release translated into arabic. there is no way this “movie” would even garner any attention normally given how ridiculous it is. it’s not a serious attempt at movie-making. it’s just part of this overall dark-ops campaign. it’s makes no sense that this would be happening just simply out of the blue at this point in time in these areas. they’re desperate for anything to take president obama off his game and cause complications for him, and this is their latest attempt.
i noticed how the professional leftists are blaming the riots on the drone attacks, almost as if right on cue, and exactly how i’d expect them to react. divide and conquer is one of their favorites and of course they knew professional leftists would fall right into the trap too. naturally, president obama is already ruining their best paid plans though. sucks to be part of the cabal when barack is in the white house!
Am reluctant to promote any theory about it given its already horrible consequences, but you can be sure that whomever is associated with it is going to be exposed.
I feel the same very deeply as you do Bobfr. However, I too believe with all of my heart that whomever is associated with this entire situation will be exposed. I pray to God that they will be!! HZ
U.S. orders embassy staff to leave Tunis, Khartoum
WASHINGTON/KHARTOUM (Reuters) – The United States ordered non-essential staff to leave its embassies in Tunisia and Sudan on Saturday after both diplomatic posts were attacked and Khartoum rejected a U.S. request to send a platoon of Marines to bolster security at its mission there. “Given the security situation in Tunis and Khartoum, the U.S. State Department has ordered the departure of all family members and non-emergency personnel from both posts, and issued parallel travel warnings to American citizens,” State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said in a statement.
HEADLINE: Obama most admired foreign leader in India: Pew research
//Washington: US President Barack Obama is the most admired foreign leader in India and a majority of city dwellers in the country want him re-elected, an opinion poll said today. “About seven-in-ten city dwellers (71 per cent) who say they are following the US election closely want US president Barack Obama to be re-elected,” said Pew Global Research Center, releasing the results of its major opinion poll conducted in India.
The poll also found that Indians have more favorable view of America than other major powers. A majority of Indians living in cities have a favorable view of the United States (58 per cent), a positive opinion of Americans (57 per cent) and confidence in Obama (60 per cent), it said. “Such confidence in Obama is one likely reason a majority of city-dwelling Indians (57 per cent) back his international policies, approve his handling of global economic problems and say relations with the US have improved in recent years,” it said. //

However, Montgomery faced a barrage of criticism after the complaint and the subsequent decision by the Secretary’s office were announced, and Montgomery ended up withdrawing the complaint on Friday:
Montgomery told The Huffington Post Friday afternoon that public reaction to the complaint led him to decide against continuing. He declined to say exactly what was said in the calls and emails he received, but indicated that people who knew him both personally and professionally were also contacted about the complaint.
“I didn’t file this objection with the desire to involve anyone else. This is me expressing myself on a personal political level,” he said. “I would appreciate it if people would not call anyone associated with me, whether a personal or professional association.”
[…]
Montgomery wanted to start a dialogue with his objection, he said. “I have not been successful in that objective,” he told HuffPost. “Not in achieving a constructive dialogue.”
In 2008, John McCain won ~ 63% of the Cuban-American vote, while Barack Obama won just 35%. However, a recent poll (Sept 2012) showed President Obama LEADING Mitt Romney among Cuban-Americans in FL, by whopping 16 points!!!!
I am not sure that I believe that, hopefurit2. If pres Obama was leading amongst Cuban Americans by 16% points, Romney would be losing by more than 4-5% points. Close to 1M Cuban Americans in FL. I hope you are right. For if it is so, Then, this election is all BUT OVER.
The GOP is competitive in FL because of the Cuban Americans statewide.
Deaniac highlighted that poll in his most recent piece on TPV. If it’s accurate, then it’s game over. And as a child of Cuban immigrants, it would take me over the rainbow if my people deliver FL to PBO.
I don’t know very much about Florida and why Cuban Americans are still predominantly Republicans. In New Jersey, where I have family members, most Cuban-Americans vote for the Democratic party. This is especially the case with the younger generation (those under 40). May be the young Cuban-Americans in Florida are the ones giving the President the substantial lead in the polls.
Romney appears to have lost much of his repub support this last week. This op ed was noted in a tweet but is worthy of reading for a good laugh. Nicholas Kristoff notes:
“DIPLOMACY is a minefield, and Mitt Romney spent the last week blowing up his foreign policy credentials to be president. He raised doubts about his capacity to deal with global crises, and we were left hoping that if that 3 a.m. call ever went to him, he’d have set up call forwarding.
The essential problem is that every time Romney touches foreign policy, he breaks things.”
He further notes:
“With China, Romney seems intent on a trade war. In the Middle East, it appears he’d like to subcontract foreign policy to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Netanyahu recently tried to push the United States to adopt a nuclear red line that, if Iran crossed it, would lead us to go to war there. Obama was right to resist, and it has been unseemly for Romney to side with a foreign leader in spats with the United States.
(For my part, I think Obama should indeed set a red line — warning Netanyahu to stop interfering in American elections.) ”
He concludes:
“According to clarifications from Romney’s campaign, he apparently would order a military strike before Iran even acquired a bomb, simply when it was getting close. For anyone who has actually seen a battlefield, that’s a blithe, too-light embrace of a path to yet another war. It’s emblematic of a candidate who, on foreign policy, appears an empty shell.” http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/16/opinion/sunday/kristof-the-foreign-relations-fumbler.html?hp
When he’s lost Politico he’s in real trouble with the media. Finally!!!! After the heartbreak from the Middle East this week these stories made my day.
This is one of the major reasons Romney cannot win. Chances are if he were elected he would try to prove he was strong on foreign policy a la Bush and we would be in another war.

amk, don’t have the full transcript, but it was either 3 or 4 times that #ChickenHawkMitt referred to our ‘embassy in Benghazi’ – which shows just how lame he is. Our embassy is in Tripoli, the capital of Libya. As John notes:
“It’s a rookie mistake to confuse embassies and consulates, and it’s the kind of thing that anyone with any training in diplomacy and international relations would immediately look out for, and notice. Romney should have seen this speech and immediately said “Libya’s capital [is] Tripoli, and our embassy isn’t in Benghazi.” But he didn’t. Because Mitt Romney simply has no background in foreign policy. But that didn’t stop him from weighing in immediately on a major national security crisis, with the presidential backdrop and all.”

The alliance of Egyptian Christians, right-wing American Christians and anti-Muslim activists have now sowed the seeds of more chaos in the Middle East. This is exactly what they wanted. “We went into this knowing this was probably going to happen,” Klein told the Associated Press.
The people behind the film can also feel satisfied that they have contributed to a strain in U.S.-Egyptian relations as a time when the Muslim Brotherhood is in power. They hope that by destabilizing Egypt, Muslims will come off as crazy, violent people, and that U.S. relations with a government seen as hostile to Israel will be strained.
Their mirror image—radical, right-wing Islamists in the Middle East–continues to stoke anti-American rage across the Middle East because of the anti-Muslim film. And so both sides get what they want: a “clash of civilizations”-esque confrontation between the radicals on both sides of the “East-West” divide.
Meanwhile, ordinary Americans and Muslims are caught in the crossfire. As Blumethal wrote in the Guardian: “A group of fringe extremists had proven that with a little bit of money and an unbelievably cynical scam, they could shape history to fit their apocalyptic vision.”
DF, what we are witnessing with this alliance is pure” banality of evil!” These people could care less how many innocent people are killed so long as they “shape history to fit their apocalyptic vision.” I know I sometimes sound like a broken record, even to myself, but I put a great deal of blame on corporate media for failing to inform regular Americans about these evil people who pride in using propaganda and religious manipulations to cause havoc just to advance their delusional agenda.

Hilarious thing that happened just now while I was having breakfast at the hotel cafe in Nairobi.
Suddenly, something was grazing softly against my legs and lifting the overhanging table cloth, I find it’s a black & grey tabby with pleading eyes. The waitress, who was pouring coffee for me, said it was the resident cat.
Snuck her a chicken sausage under the table and she kinda sniffed and backed away. I said ‘wtf’ and then realized it was still warm. So took it back, blew on it and then gave it back to her, which she gobbled up immediately.
And then she sat there right next to my legs with those damned pleading eyes. I said, ‘what now?’. Sigh, go to the buffet table, grab a few more sausages, go back to the table, blow on the sausages one by one and then feed it to her. The maitre d’ at the entrance was watching all this with a disapproving look, I shot her a look that said, what, it was your cat that came to me.
And the best part ? the damned tabby started following me back to my room. Then I had to shoo her off.
What ? I am not gonna share my precious gin with her !
I would have done the same thing:) Definitely! No gin for cats:) Have to draw the line somewhere…..maybe you could pour her a nice glass of milk? New BFF…cats know a good thing when they see it!
Did the guy playing PBO say:”so here’s the choice America: stick with what’s been barely working or go with that [indicating Idiot Mitt]“???!!! “Stick with what’s been barely working”? “The economy’s in the tank”?? This guy sucks ass. I definitely won’t be watching his Obama skits.
“President Morsi of Egypt really is the big loser in this entire episode because he has demonstrated that he has no command on the street …. The fact that President Obama essentially uttered words that were very, very serious … when he said that Egypt is not an ally but is not an enemy either, this to be is a diplomatic slap on the face …. It seems to me that the real winners in this entire episode are those individuals who like to manipulate masses, who like to further divide the East from the West, the Christian world from the Muslim world.”
There’s Lester Holt again today asking if the Middle East violence has “shifted the presidential election”, this time teaming up with David Gregory. The unrest is all Obama’s fault and all Obama’s failing etc. This was right after an Obama condemning report by Mike Viquera, as if Obama made the anti-Muslim film and distributed it, and exaggerated the unrest—-”sweeping across the Middle East” etc. I see people who have actually been in that region are saying it is actually a teeny tiny minority of the population participating.
See! That is what my Brother said last might at Dinner. They are attacking the Presidents Cairo speech, my brother said the President said that we will support you if you over throw your Government.
He did not say that, he said we support Democracy and Freedom.
See how they twist things, I see a red flag here, they ate swiftboating the President and really going after NBC Republicans to get their message out.
CNN and fox is in Willards side, and apparently so is NBC.
They are trying to paint Him as Weak, domestically and Foreign policy wise, we should not ignore this!
Jovie, as you have stated several times on this blog, your brother is a Republican so his reaction to this whole event is not the least bit surprising. He would have voted for Romney regardless of this event. This is NOT going to shift the election. The MSM wants a horserace, so they’re using every and anything to diminish PBO’s support. But that won’t work – people know the MSM works at the behest of the Republican party and Romney is given a pass time and again. And people largely consider the MSM’s views irrelevant in this election for that reason. Check Dotster’s comment below with a tweet indicating the timing of release of anti-muslim films ~ 7 wks before the polls open.
Your Friend is on-Up With Sam Seder.
Yuck!
Talking about the terrible conditions the Teachers have to live under, the Merit Pay of Teachers, therewarding of Teachers in Schoold that have better Conditions- such as A good Neighborhood always gets rewarded with better Teacher pay as opposed to poor Neighborhoods etc.
Again, this is an attack on Race to the Top, Wake up!
That is all!
2 pronged attack this morning on the President, blaming the President for the Arab Spring and subtly blaming the President for Kids being out of School in Chicago.
It’s like groundhog day, attacks on the President every morning!
GE Chips.
Hellooooooo Collegekay, morning/afternoon/evening everyone
I LOVEEEEE LOVEEEEE THIS PIC….HOW GORGEOUS ARE THEY!!
FLOTUS looks like a million dollars. And POTUS is mighty handsome too.
I remeber the first time I saw this picture I actually gasped out loud. Stunning.
Mrs. O’s body is like wow.
That’s such a beautiful dress Mrs. O has on. What was the event?
Hi pkayden, that was the state dinner for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of India:
This may be my favorite gown of the First Lady’s. Great photo…look at them…they know they look good!
A really nice picture of Hillary, POTUS and FLOTUS.
PBO and SOS Hillary Clinton have such mutually respect for each other. I imagine that the President sees the same strength and determination in Mrs. Clinton that was in the two women that helped shape him.
Mine too.
These are my Peeps, and I Love em!
Cool
Maybe
Serious question: When did I start liking American football? Now between that and my beloved English soccer, I might be completely useless this fall and winter.
“When did I start liking American football”.
you watch that crap ?
It’s nice ambient noise for blogging.
Excuuuuuuuuuuuuse Me. I am an Alabama fan … born and raised … and my football affinities extend well beyond that … pro football the Tennessee Titans, Green Bay Packers, NY Jets … it is not crap … it is American football … a heritage.
I agree, daisy. It IS American football…….a heritage indeed. Go VOLS!!!!! And, Tennessee Titans and Denver (Peyton Manning!!!!).
Buncha meat mountains pushing and shoving each other. And what they got to show for all that ? A coupla yards. Soooo exciting.
Stirring up trouble, amk … your specialty ….
Love American football, college and pro.
what me ? I don’t know whatchutalkingaboutwillis.
You noticed, eh Bobfr? I just chuckled. I sure hope his wifey has an updated insurance policy on him, ’cause one of these days he’s not going to be able to duck and/or run fast enough.
How ’bout that Crimson Tide today, daisydem? RRROOOOLLLLLLLL Tide! (My mother’s an alumna, as well as everyone on her side of the family.)
It was a rout! As much as I want the Tide to win, sometimes I am uncomfortable with the total rout. Now, if they were playing Auburn, or Tennesse today and scored that much … well … so be it! You get my drift?
Boo daisydem…DO NOT say anything bad about my auburn tigers, ok? War damn Eagle eh…
You mean Hand Egg Ball?
Throwball! Oh, it’ll be a temporary infatuation.
Run stop commercial fall stop commercial throw stop commercial….
Which is pretty much what basketball has become. Man, a 48 minute game should not last 3 hours of viewing time.
which is time I’ll never get back. HotMenRunning™ (Futból) has ruined me/given me ADD for all other sports. Except that Stanley Cup run was EPIC.
You should try rugby. Equally hot men getting the crap beaten out of them — with no padding.
yeah, but the scrum blocks my vision of said HOT MEN.
Then you might prefer rugby league over rugby union. The scrums in rugby league are pro forma. Pretty much 80 minutes of running and passing.
0-0 v QPR
Jesus. I know. Man, QPR just has Chelsea’s number.
For once I was actually depressed about a rubbish Chelsea result, having brought Hazard and Lampard in to my Fantasy team. Huh, thanks LL.
Hey, don’t blame me! It was a rubbish game.
I need to take out my displeasure on someone (I slumped from 5th to 8th on that Fantasy leaderboard today), so I’m holding YOU personally responsible, you Chelski-loving infidel.
If the result goes badly, expect to find it difficult to post comments here LL, you may accidentally end up in pending.
It’s the shorts, isn’t it ? I bet if they all wore sweat pants, you’d lose interest in a trice.
A nice man ass is nice, whether it’s in sweat pants, shorts, or tights in a ballet.
The nice thing about soccer is, most of their faces are actually sexy too.
This is our new ManCandy, Christian Wilhelmsson (I’m calling him Wilhelmscream – which is a sound editor joke)
New ManCandy for LA Galaxy:

His wife is exquisite as well. They should breed immediately. He has some nice ink too.
And this is the Wilhelm Scream – trust me – it’s awesomely HILARIOUS – and once you hear it, you can’t unhear it, and it’s in almost every action film ever made.
Speaking of….. did you watch the G’s game last night? Did you see our new hot Swede, WillhelmScream?
I did not. I was pretty much wiped out last night. Long long week at work. I hope MLS starts getting more foreign players. Sad to say, but NSCAA does not produce the best footballers. The MLS teams need to beef up their academies.
Finally having Klinsmann as head USMENS coach is a great start I think.
Oh, dear, that is the ultImate dilemma, LL. My condolences!
Nice video. On the road to Charlotte.
I MUST REMEMBER BEFORE I DEPART TO ADD THE SOUND EFFECTS FOR ROBNEY’S DEBATE DEMISE…’SPLAAAAAAAAAAAAT!’
Sue that image is priceless. “What do you have in your wallet Mttens.”

FORWARDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD>>>
I hardly finished the last post before this was up. These OFA 3 minute videos are so well done and so moving. Makes me want to vote 2day.
Maryland hearts PBO!
Hi africa. What is your browser?
Would it be Internet Explorer? That’s what I have. I am totally dense when it comes to computers.
IE sux. Try firefox or …. shudder…. google chrome.
Hiya Africa – and a big hello to your sister!
I’ve been having that script problem too recently, it usually happens when I have a whole bunch of applications running and a lot of Firefox windows open – I’m expecting to see smoke come out of my laptop any moment
All I can do is restart Firefox and close a few things, that usually solves it.
Oh, and I have Internet explorer, too.
Thank you for posting about it! Up until I saw your comment I had run 2 virus scans and figured it was because people on Twitter had private or blocking or some such. LOL. Shit, it was just internet explorer bugs. I actually just tweeted a whole long sentence without it freezing up!
Using a browser doesn’t interfere with your work software.
amk —ok I thought it did but just installed google Chrome as my browser. Fingers crossed that friggin script error doesn’t appear…yet. Try this africa. https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/
chrome huh ? shudder.
lol. I didn’t see your comment way up there about using firefox. I guess I could switch but chrome seems fine to me.
oh chrome is a good browser. I hate it for its privacy issues and the buncha crap it leaves behind after you browse. FF cleans us after itself. I suggest you also install Ccleaner and run it after close the browser. It will clean all the residual crap of chrome.
Thank you so much amk.
so we can see you on the twitterdom often now ?
Hmmm, there’s no place to reply to your latest comment below so doing it up here! Here’s a recent tweet unobstructed by Internet Explorer!!
WTG forus.
PBO is probably using this weekend to prep for the debates.
According to Knoller, he is prepping for another Round of golf.
I would love for PBO on Wed Nov 7, after he wins to spend the entire day playing golf, just to tick Knoller off!
Hahahaha.
Me too. And he deserves it to boot!
It seems to me that PBO is always on the go too whether it is work or play. .
One could speculate that he’s reviewing a variety of special gifts, soon to be delivered ….
jovie141, really did POTUS go play golf today? You are kidding right?
When is the first debate?
October 3rd.
October 3rd is POTUS and FLOTUS 20th wedding anniversary. Maybe after POTUS kick Romney lying ass, POTUS and FLOTUS will have a private dinner, or maybe the day before the debate, October 2nd.
Thanks, UT. I can’t wait.
Can’t wait for this one.
why is the bastard hiding his hideous face now? He’s responsible for the death of the Ambassador and 3 other Consulate employes,2 American soldiers and 10 other foreigners who risked their lives taking the Ambassador to the hospital

Fred, that man is seriously creepy. I hope they find something they can pin on him or have him cough up the names of the big donors behind him.
Nutballs all over the place in the Repub Party—-just crazy people—–
That’s one of the most inspiring videos of this season. I got caught up in the cheers and the crowd sizes are amazing. Hey, PBO can still pack ‘em in. Thanks chips !!
Ok, that’s about as much NCAA throwball as I can take. Back to rugby, where men get the shit smacked out of them sans padding.
Will not let David Gregory escape his enormous disservice to America and Israel by enabling Netanyahu to interfere in our Election and conspire with the #NEOCONSTERS to cause even more loss of life.
This is a letter to Bibi Netanyahu from Senator Boxer. Important smack down.http://boxer.senate.gov/en/press/releases/091212b.cfm
Excellent! Thank you ewok!
Great letter from Boxer, ewok. She’s calling him out and making it plain she sees what game he’s playing. He is one slimy man.
Thanks Bobfr for posting the link of the letter that Sen. Boxer wrote to Netanyahu. Sen. is a great Senator and I love how she fights for POB and the people of her state. HZ
And the President leads R/R by 72/25 among Jewish votes.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The wife of Vice President Joe Biden is campaigning in Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo and Battle Creek.

And might just be making the rounds on FB again?
I hope so Pamela!
ahhhh the internets! Where everything lives FOREVAH!
I still completely despise Jon Huntsman…
He really is no different from Mitt Romney…
Slimy, petty, underhanded, self-serving, phony, lazy, spiteful, entitled, small, envious, disloyal, inauthentic, opportunistic…
It appears Romney and Huntsman both suffer from the very same afflictions and Jon Huntsman scores no positive points from me for pointing out Romney’s glaring character defects which ironically happen to identically mirror his…
Jon Huntsman never had a chance at ever measuring up to or even coming close to defeating President Obama…
And there you have it, thank you, Chi!
Yup – I agree!
Diary Of A Wimpy Kid (Book and Movie) = KICK ASS AWESOMENESS.
Serious question: You can make it so that your videos can’t be copied, correct? Why didn’t Huntsman make his videos that way? He should know he has no future in the GOP as it exists now; he should’ve been less passive aggressive. Then again, if I’m right, this GOP doesn’t have much of a life left.
Well done, Chips!!!!!
Bob, there are so many of these videos, it’s a hoot – eg check this channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/NH4HuntsmanJr
Love it!!
And, I’m sure you have your own little stash (a la Download helper) just in case

WHAT WAS TEAM ROMNEY THINKING?

LOL. Can’t wait for the debates when O gets into mind and starts yanking his chains.
I KNOW!!
Obama – With all due respect govnor, you know that’s not true.
mittens – argle, bargle, splutter.
Amk, my only half concern about the debates is that PBO will be so utterly irritated by that smirking weasel that he’ll deck him with a right hook. Actually, on second thoughts, that would be quite pleasant. So, strike what I said.
With all due respect govnor, you’re an asshole…. I said ‘with all due respect’.
/stole that from BJ>
Oh, what I wouldn’t give …..
No worries Chip…
Our lovely President has encountered even lowlier crappier smirk happy creatures than Romney and managed very well…
He’s got a way with effortlessly putting away slimy creeps like Mitt Romney without batting an eyelid…
Chi, again, nailed it! You are on a wave length that fits my own mindset this evening! Love it!
Yes. Remember the House Republican retreat a couple of years ago? He spanked them all and sent them to their rooms. It was obsolutely fantastic.
Delicious!

And, it just keeps getting worse and worse …
There is little love for country with R&R – power and money is their goal – it is to be hoped (& very possible that) Ryan suffers 2 election defeats
Galston is not very Happy with Romney’s campaign. He was one of the people predicting that Obama will be one term president if the GOP nominated Romney.
Oh dear…..http://slog.thestranger.com/slog/archives/2012/09/14/george-w-bush-not-able-to-attend-romney-fundraiser-in-george-w-bushs-own-home-probably
Hot toxic mess.
So they didn’t invited G.W. to the RNC, now they are having a fundraiser in his home and he won’t even be there. Who cares? Maybe Ann can complain to Laura about how much people are picking on her liar husband.
Laura Bush comes across as very much a lady when compared to the whinger
darkly humorous.
Mofos caught in their own lying hypocrisy.
“Got yo’ back!” I LOVE that lady in the movie above, she is rocking with the moment! Beautiful!
woot, woot. And people were complaining that WH has not done enough messaging on HCR.
When this President gets in front of an issueand the party supports him, they can’t beat us.

You are so right.
people are starting to feel a lot of the affects……kids staying on parents company paid health insurance through 26yrs old, donut hole closing, refunds from insurance companies, no longer being denied coveraged due to pre existing conditions, no co-pays for contraceptives and wellness care…..people are getting it.
Have Mitt Romney release his tax returns yet?
We’re still waiting.
Holy cow.
i haven’t seen that item at my local costco yet. probably from ross?
Maybe she’ll reply and let all of us know that it’s a little trinket that is WELL over $15,000! How DARE you think I got this at Walmart! Though the family ARE good friends of ours!
She even smirks like Mitt – I wonder if either of them realize how devastating this campaign has been – continues to be – on their image world wide. They will be bitter for a long time – when all Mitt had to do was enjoy his new house – and his grandchildren.
Gee. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/09/12/1130950/-If-diplomatic-attacks-are-a-sign-of-weakness-Bush-was-the-weakest-of-all?detail=hide
Boom! Thanks, Buddy:)
They call themselves Americans, and then insult the American President like that? It’s so disgusting. Don’t these Monica & Co realize that the whole world doesn’t see Republicans and Democrats – they just see low-life Americans giving the rest of the Americans a very bad name.
Pretty funny how they cast this election as neck and neck…cough.
Hey Chips, the video that was originally posted by “Rachel Maddow” that garnered >70K views before being blocked by YouTube is now reappearing via various new YouTube accounts

Will be fun to watch if, as ‘Rachel Maddow’ promised, a much longer version finds it’s way into the intertubes
Here`s an ‘old’ Smartypants post that I just felt like sharing
‘
You just know that there is some kind of amazing karmic realignment going on in the universe when I am moved to write that I totally 100% agree with what Markos said today.

Now I know lots of liberals simply can’t handle winning. Some of us would rather worry …/’
http://immasmartypants.blogspot.ca/2012/09/the-question-isnt-whether-we-can-win.html
Good one.
By whom…I wonder? Sounds like a “connect the dots” caper
As Jodi Kantor would say, Hmm…
Can you say, October Surprise? That will nail the GOP coffin shut if it is discovered that their representatives paid any of the protesters. I hope who ever paid them if they are USA citizens are held for teason.
guess #1: dick cheney’s group
guess #2: bush family and associates
guess #3: nutandyahoo’s cabal
guess #4: sheldon adelson
guess #5: all the above
the moment this happened i figured it’s some sort of “dark-ops” mission. the cabal has been freaking out in recent years since they’re losing all their tried and true boogeymen, which they need to have their various “wars” and make those billions of dollars from taxpayer money. they’re holding steady with their iran boogeyman so far, and this is being done to help stoke that one, and the “muslims” boogeyman in general.
seems coordinated with the 14 minute “movie” doesn’t it, and the re-release translated into arabic. there is no way this “movie” would even garner any attention normally given how ridiculous it is. it’s not a serious attempt at movie-making. it’s just part of this overall dark-ops campaign. it’s makes no sense that this would be happening just simply out of the blue at this point in time in these areas. they’re desperate for anything to take president obama off his game and cause complications for him, and this is their latest attempt.
i noticed how the professional leftists are blaming the riots on the drone attacks, almost as if right on cue, and exactly how i’d expect them to react. divide and conquer is one of their favorites and of course they knew professional leftists would fall right into the trap too. naturally, president obama is already ruining their best paid plans though. sucks to be part of the cabal when barack is in the white house!
OMG if we find out some of those protestors were paid by the GOP I am going to SCREAM
I still believe Romney supporters are behind that youtube video which started this mess. I could be wrong, but i don’t think so.
HZ
I hope and pray you are right HZ.

U.S. orders embassy staff to leave Tunis, Khartoum
Tunisia was the birthplace of the Arab Spring. This is a sad day for that fledgling democracy – and they’ll regret that move.
meta, I rather they come home instead of stay and be in danger.

The same 30% that always shows up on the wrong side of everything…
Nnnooo?
Thank you Amk…
You are a great ambassador for our President…
Wow Bobfr, I hope “Pullin A Romney” sticks like Lyin Ryan.
Well, let’s be sure it does, LH!!
BIRTHERS, BAGGERS AND BLOWHARDS
Kansas GOP’s Birtherism Adventure Ends Abruptly in Shame
—————————————

Just a bit of perspective:
And on the China front, Politico slammed him today on his statements on China. “Doubts Grow on Mitt Romney’s China Threats” http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0912/81254.html?hp=t1
When he’s lost Politico he’s in real trouble with the media. Finally!!!! After the heartbreak from the Middle East this week these stories made my day.
Remember that the idiot Dan Senor while Romney was in Israel said that Romney was willing to strike Iran. They quickly walked that back.
OMG – HILARIOUS!!! Thank you FF!
I was torn between that line and the 3 am phone call being call forwarded for everyone’s sake as the most hilarious:-)
He’s a great writer. The whole was awesome!
This is one of the major reasons Romney cannot win. Chances are if he were elected he would try to prove he was strong on foreign policy a la Bush and we would be in another war.
Hey guys – if you haven’t signed this yet – please do so, & RT – they need 100 sigs by midnight.
just signed, tally, and thanks for keeping the momentum on this.
Thank YOU!!!
I signed too, and now can only hope my inbox is not flooded with mail from move on…. They are relentless…
Thanks so much!!! Small price to pay for fair elections – if it happens. Plus you can always unsubscribe if it happens.
From the culinary front: dinner tonight at Casa de LL –
Tilapia — fresh, not frozen — poached in chardonnay
Rice pilaf
Roasted asparagus
All washed down with the very same chardonnay. As I remind her at times like this, wifey is one lucky b*****.
I can’t help but think of the this song….”LL you are a baaaaad….shut your mouth, but I am talk ’bout LL”
Well, if this WAS a covert attempt at an “October Surprise” to give PBO a crisis and distract him during the campaign, it seems to have misfired spectacularly:
Indeed.
Big time, LL!!!
Great tweet, Tally, except it was 20 Billion that President Obama extracted, not 20 Million
OMG – How did I read that wrong. FFS. I AM FIRED. Here – FIXED:
Excellent summary…
No, he didn’t !!!. Jeebus qadaffi.
Yep, he did, amk. 4 times in one statement!
amk, don’t have the full transcript, but it was either 3 or 4 times that #ChickenHawkMitt referred to our ‘embassy in Benghazi’ – which shows just how lame he is.

Moreover …

rookie mistake ? this fucker has been running for presidency non-stop for ten years fercrissake.
Funny, isn’t it, amk. The only thing #BainMitt is a rookie is telling the truth
That’s a tweetable treat, Bob.
excellent point amk. he acts like a newcomer to the greater world, but his money has been all over, and he’s sent jobs everywhere, and he was a governor, too–that is a high office and comes with an expectation of breadth and seriousness. why the rethugs keep putting these idiots forward is beyond my comprehension.
Hey Bobfr and Tally, you guys are amazing! I just love your fearlessness in tweeting the TRUTH. I am still tech challenged and don’t do twitter, but I truly appreciate the wonderful work you and other TOD families like AMK, UT, Meta, LL, are doing in spreading truth and pushing back at the inept corporate media.
It’s very simple nath. You just sign up and start tweetin’ and shootin’.
Thank you, nath! As amk notes, it really is simple to tweet so don’t be the least concerned. Just jump in and have fun!!! If you do, please be sure to let all of us know your @

They will find out who and why this happened….connect the dots……

I just watched the SNL with Jay Pharroh as President Obama…..it was very funny.

All this friggin hotel room has is a few sachets of coffee powder, powdered milk and a few teabags. … Sugar!!!! Daymn.
And a cat that loves you
Mebbe I fix up with a date with her at tomorrow’s breakfast.
Interesting titbit!
Ps,
Since you are often in Nairobi, if you ever consider prospects in Uganda, please get in touch. I know people who know people at home
Uganda is definitely on the cards. Surely would give a holler if something turns up there.
SNL does Eastwood and the Chair. Of course! http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/09/16/snls-eastwood-and-chair/

Did the guy playing PBO say:”so here’s the choice America: stick with what’s been barely working or go with that [indicating Idiot Mitt]“???!!! “Stick with what’s been barely working”? “The economy’s in the tank”?? This guy sucks ass. I definitely won’t be watching his Obama skits.
lisa, the new guy trying to be POTUS on SNL wasn’t that good, he has alot of work to do.
He was seriously awful…

“President Morsi of Egypt really is the big loser in this entire episode because he has demonstrated that he has no command on the street …. The fact that President Obama essentially uttered words that were very, very serious … when he said that Egypt is not an ally but is not an enemy either, this to be is a diplomatic slap on the face …. It seems to me that the real winners in this entire episode are those individuals who like to manipulate masses, who like to further divide the East from the West, the Christian world from the Muslim world.”
Joseph Kechichian, a Middle East analyst
Good Morning TOD . . . Please have a great Sunday.
Come on jovie141, not again. Maybe you and your brother should agree not to discuss politics.
So that fraud Bibi is making the rounds on the Sunday Republicans show today ?
Here is my response to that phoney

oh ..and Good Morning.
2 pronged attack this morning on the President, blaming the President for the Arab Spring and subtly blaming the President for Kids being out of School in Chicago.
It’s like groundhog day, attacks on the President every morning!
Morning everyone:
