Great work and fast, Chips!
Congrats on first, Susan!
Congrats on first from one Susan to another.
Consider this a share, Susan! Oh, and Susanne if you’re on line will share with you, too… Any others?
oooh! thanks, susan!
Oh goodie – first. And to think I was about to turn in (nearly 9:00 pm here – don’t laugh)
BTW if you haven’t checked out the twitter feed for #RomneyPlaneFeatures do take a peek
That cannot be a true story!
My thought exactly! Time for a little research to find out what I’ve been missing in the last, oh, thirty minutes or so since the LAST time Mitt made a fool of himself…
Really? He really said that? I know that’s really a joke, right?
Apparently not a joke MaryL1 and apparently true Theo67
This incident is the fuel behind the #RomneyPlaneFeatures trend on Twitter
Shaking my freaking head.
Well, at least you’re not sitting there wondering why the windows on planes don’t open.
I just got home for lunch and am just seeing this. There is something mentally wrong with this man. Seriously. Dangerously. Wrong.
I believe you are seriously correct. My 9 yr old grandson could explain this! I really think I’ve heard it all and then something like this pops up. Just got home from the doctor’s (one of them – another story) and this hit me right between the eyes. Which might be appropriate since he’s literally a brain surgeon. Yep, desertflower, this man is obviously unhinged or getting there quickly.
He really did say it (cue his handlers TELLING us it was a joke, though).
But the part that really bothers me is the headline on the LA Times story reporting the latest amazing statement from the Repub nominee: “Mitt Romney Pulls In $6 Million at Beverly Hills Fundraiser.” He’s wondering why we can’t open windows on airplanes, and people are STILL giving him that kind of money?? Lord help us.
Really, ‘The Onion’ may as well close up shop. We are waaaaaaay post-parody now. I also read that he told his California donors that he didn’t like the way some states were following a European-style model, and that he wouldn’t want California used as a model for the rest of the nation. I’m presuming that rich California people like California or they wouldn’t be living there, but maybe I’m wrong.
Doh! I got in at the bottom of the last post again, sorry for the repost. I currently have to lurk because of work :-(, but I have a techie-type question for all you experts:
On my laptop at home, all of a sudden the pictures of the videos on this blog just show up as a square with a large red “start” arrow, no picture. The arrow does not work to start the video either, BTW. Any idea if I’m missing some video add-in or browser update? I’m using Internet Explorer 9 and it works OK at work (hey, I gotta check in during the day from time to time to keep my sanity).
Anyhow thanks for any ideas! Only 3 days until Iowa lets me vote early for PBO!
Make sure Adobe flash player is up to date.
Ditch IE. Go for Firefox (or chrome aarrgghh)
It sounds like you might be either missing Flash Player media or you need to run anti-virus software on your laptop or switch to another browser or all of the above. I had weird problems like that so and had to run anit-virus software, reinstall Flash Player and switched to Chrome browser. However I’m not an expert – amk might have a better idea.
dump IE…it is the worst….get Firefox with ad blocker…..is keeps you system pretty clean…..

First few phrases sum up my response Donna!
Love this song!
You people are mean. Other than owning them, mittster knows jacksquat about planes. Just like his money and a nation’s finances.
“you people” good one AMK
Love this. A spokesperson of SoS Clinton told TeaNN to F off. I would have told that TeaNN reporter to go directly to hell. What TeaNN did with the private Journal of the Murdered Ambassador was despicable.
Hi… It wasn’t TeaNN… it was Michael Hastings of Buzzfeed….. I can’t stop laughing…
I posted it on the previous thread.. There is a huge thread about it over on Huff Puff….funny stuff
Thanks for the correction. You are right. The Ben Smith’s outfit….former POLITICO…..Buzzfeed. Asking about the Libyan attack. Thanks for the correction. Facts matter.
It’s about time someone told the media what the world really thinks of them. not to mention, the people in the State department musty be so emotionally raw right now. I hope they cut this spokesperson some slack. For all we know, he might have known one of the four killed in Libya, or even some of the embassy staff who were in harms’ way – or maybe he just had enough of stupidity.
What exactly that was in the diary that teann was airing ?
Some of his personal concerns about the safety over there….that Arwa …whatever her name is found it……
To me it is like removing evidence from the scene of a crime… TeaNN is disgusting.
It IS removing evidence from the crime scene. Isn’t FBI already over there investigating this murder ? They should arrest the teann managing editor and deal with the consequences later.
That was my first thought when I heard about it. Who the F**k do they think they are?
Just my opinion but I think CNN might be in serious trouble here. They either purchased the journal from someone who looted the embassy after/ during the fire or CNN looted the embassy themselves and used it for profit. Either way this isn’t journalism it is thief.
Bet 10k Michael Hastings will be on Cenk’s show on current tonight..
there are just no words.
I need this to be on video so bad.
I’m still mulling over this new (to me) info about Congress coughing up 100,000 to help the LDS families move back to the US from Mexico when Mitt’s Dad was a boy. Another revelation to me is that the Romney family sued Mexico for their loss of property in 1935. Seems the Romneys got $9,163 which is $1,890,000 in todays money. George got a part of that. Mitt says he didn’t get help from his Dad, but seems there was a million in stock handed over. If at any time in my life I would have been given a mil–there is no way I could call myself a self made women. Apparently the Romney clan just don’t get that a million is a whole lot of money.
I wonder why they ended up on public assistance then….

Oh my Tally! Great one…
It’s time to work like crazy these next 43 days to make these polls a reality.
Here are the today’s swing state polls
Colorado: Obama 51%, Romney 45% (Public Policy Polling)
Florida: Obama 50%, Romney 45% (American Research Group)
Iowa: Obama 51%, Romney 44% (American Research Group)
Michigan: Obama 54%, Romney 42% (Rasmussen)
North Carolina: Obama 49%, Romney 45% (Civitas)
Nevada: Obama 51%, Romney 44% (American Research Group)
Wisconsin: Obama 53%, Romney 41% (We Ask America)
Thx, Donna. I was just wondering about these numbers. I’ve been seeing very good numbers in the data gathering for NV and WOW – I’m so gratified to see this spread.
@Donna, RealclearPolitics.com has Colorado lower. You are so right. We need to work our heads off. Its not over until its over. Everyone that can should be out there knocking doors and calling voters.
I must have missed some News, I just saw Howard Fineman say that the President has gaffed on Foreign Policy, and he should be held accountable, for what he days embarrassing.
What gaffes? Did he do poorly in the 60 minutes interview? I dint get what Fineman is saying?
I only ask, because I talk to Voters daily, and I need to know this stuff. Thanks…
The only foreign policy thing I’ve heard about is the RW meme about PBO not changing his schedule to meet with Bibi. My twitter TL isn’t showing that PBO said anything else that I can think of. and of course you well know that Howard Fineman, as an alleged Democrat, has such a fine relationship with teh Repubs who tell him their innermost secrets in order to hurt PBO (I jest, but not that much).
I just rewind it. They ate making fun of the President for saying, the violence in North Africa is bumps in the road.
That doesn’t sound to bad, it is a euphemism. What is wrong with that?
I don’t get the right wing logic!
Not the RW logic, it’s the press that takes their logic as actual issues. It infuriates me.
Of course, PBO meant that there will be ups and downs and setbacks and steps forward on the way to stable governments in the region.
Well, they have to take the focus away from DimMitt wondering why airline windows don’t open.
I heard it on ABC’s radio news this morning that the Republicans are saying PBO said he expected bumps in the road concerning the Arab Spring. Their comment is 4 deaths at the embassy should not be considered bumps in the road. I then watched my tivoed 60 Minutes and saw the two ideas were in no way conveyed that way by PBO or even mentioned together. Fineman is looking to boost the GOP as it is evident he didn’t watch that segment or does not care if he is correct.
I don’t have tvoe. How could I see the President on 60 minutes. I missed it, dang.
He didn’t gaffe. Howard is making a mountain out of a molehill. Pres. Obama said that we always knew there would be bumps ahead of the road with Libya and Egypt overthrowing their dictators and finding a pathway to democracy. Romney jumped on that statement today with his interview with Peter Alexander of NBC and said how dare Pres. Obama refer to the goings on in the Middle East as “bumps” and Fineman tried to say on The Cycle MSNBC that Pres. Obama had committed a huge gaffe.
Romney’s exposé of Pres. Obama’s redistribution video fell flat so he is now desperately looking for anything because the news has been dominated with his own gaffes on 60 Minutes.
Thanks. That is some clarity that I need.
Oh foor goodness sake. He used a figure of speech. The entire Romney campaign is built on taking PBO words out of context and twisting them to mean some ridiculous things.
Romney is now not just desperate and pathetic but shown up as a mean, little person. He needs to just go far away.
I saw that too jovie when I accidentally flipped to the Cycle. Fineman’s comments were Grade A Bullshyte.
He is just making shyte up. trying to help out Romney by telling S.E. Cupp that PO makes gaffes too or whatever. As soon as he said YES PO’s comments are gaffes, I switched channels.
I know right? Unfortunately, out in the field, we get asked these questions.
I need to know everything you guys can provide, it’s important, I think we can take Florida, I really do.
Despite Howard Fineman and Peter Alexander, we can do it!
basically your assessment was on point Jovie. Because PO said there would be bumps in the road, now somehow that is a “gaffe.” Utter nonsense and hogwash. So now they want PO to scream about this is HORRRIIIBBBLLLEEE. BS. Romney works that way. Not our President.
Obviously there will be set backs but there is progress. Slow and steady may not win the race in Pres Obama’s tenure but it sure as hell pushes the ball in the right direction and that makes a difference.
OMG GOP WTF!
Jovie, it’s so good to hear your on the ground report. You’re doing an amazing job!
Fineman was so pro Obama last week, he is letting his other side show today. It’s looking to bad for Mitt, so the media are trying to help Mitt Romney. That is all this is about. Seeing the President and Hillary Clinton at the ceremony for the four Americans coming home from Lybia show what he thought of their death. So Romney is searching for something and the sorry media folks like Fineman is trying to help.
AB, also most English speaking people (aside from Fineman and Romney) know that the expresssion “bumps in the road” is a common one to express setbacks, large and small, along the path to a goal. We all experience “bumps along the road” in our life. That’s how we talk to each other. It would be very odd if people always communicated in hyperbolic terms saying that every setback was tragic or overwhelming. People, especially presidents. don’t speak that way. PBO expressed his grief over the death of Ambassador Stevens and he does not have to keep repeating it every day.
I guess PBO didn’t specifically say that Israel is our closest ally in the Mideast. Could this be it? The press-morans were pushing this in the press briefing. If this is it, it is Much Ado About Nothing.
Here’s what gets me: the RWNJ’s say something is outrageous, and the lemings follow the lead and ask the President and Jay Carney if what he did was outrageous. When the Repubs do something outrageous, it’s just business as usual.
Here’s the question: “Jay, in the 60 Minutes interview the President also said that Israel was “one of our closest allies in the region,” and I guess the Middle East. Who is our closest ally?”
He didn’t specifically say “Israel is our closest ally.” This is the ‘big deal’. Good heavens.
Robney loves Nut and Yahoo.
And no doubt PayDay candy bars!
Romney is sayng in an interview that the “bumps in the road” that PBO referred to in the 60 Minutes interview included the assassination of 4 Americans, the controversy with Iran and the civil war in Syria. According to Romney, PBO’s cavalier attitude demonstrates his ineptitude on foreign affairs. Of course, it is ridiculous but this is what Fineman was referring to in calling these gaffes. I don’t consider them gaffes when seen in context, he is clearly referring the uprisings in these countries as they learn to live in democracies rather than under dictators but that is today’s Repub meme.
These answers are a great counter to the nonsense you hear on TV.
But by all means, let’s make sure Howard Fineman runs into the studio feverishly to peddle RW memes.
Of course, here’s another way of looking at it: POTUS is trying to not make everything hair-on-fire with non-thinking finger pointing and inflammatory language. Something DimMitt and the neocons could never fathom. Particularly since Libya is now demonstrating IN FAVOR of U.S.
“DimMitt and the neocons could never fathom POTUS is trying to not make everything hair-on-fire with non-thinking finger pointing and inflammatory language. Particularly since Libya is now demonstrating IN FAVOR of U.S.”
ding ding ding. You win with prize 57andfemale
Absolutely! No president can afford to engage in hysteria! A) Americans would panic; and B) he would wear himself and his own credibility out in a very short time. Robney does not know what he’s talking about. It’s desperation speaking.
Romney needs to read an American History Book.. Good Grief does he even have a clue about how his own country became a democracy…
As far as Fineman ….Yawn He is only on msnbc and no one even comments on his threads as ” Managing editor of the Huffington Post Media Group ? ( they are always fully on lock down )
The President and Secretary of State were present to welcome home the bodies of the slain Americans, days after helping grieving State Department employees deal with the shock of the deaths.
Meanwhile, Romney was first out of the gate to criticize those same embassy staffers, while they were still under fire from an outraged mob. In the same hour that their bodies were touching US soil again, Romney was in front of rabid supporters, attacking the President of the United States. I’ve not seen or heard of him offering any sincere condolences to the families, and he refused to apologize for his comments during the actual attack.
These are the only facts I need to know.

Oh Wow! At loss for words:
There’s an item at Politico today by Anna Palmer that’s probably causing a lot of chuckles around Washington, about the “intensifying” transition plans of Team Romney under the direction of former Utah Gov. Mike Leavitt. The general tone is set by this graph:
The transition effort — while necessary and appropriate for a GOP nominee so close to the election — is a jarring contrast to a campaign that appears on the ropes to many Republican strategists. Receiving no bump from the Tampa convention, Romney is plowing ahead with a methodical approach to staffing his would-be administration, despite the fact that his campaign is said by some to need a radical makeover.

Here’s a funny comment on that article:

Is there a Fantasy Presidential Appointment league? Because that would actually be lots of fun. Anyone can play, and nobody gets hurt.
okay, so how about first we determine which cabinet seats will be eliminated, and what new ones will be added?
education–gone; human services–gone; etc.
defense becomes dept of munitions, and also dept of airplanes, and also dept of bibbi, etc.
You know the Republicans are desperate, now they are trying to make an issue out of the President going on the View. Anyone with any dam sense knows that meeting with leaders have to be work out and plan in advance. These leaders have things they have to do, they are not sitting around waiting to meet the President. I am sure the President talk to these leaders, Hillary Clinton talk to her counter part, and on and on. What you see is desperation from the Republicans.
If the President was meeting with the foreign leaders, the right wing would be screaming about him taking meetings this close to the election and boxing a fictitious future “Pres Romney in” (like the Bush administration tried to do to actual future President Obama with the SOFA agreement in Iraq – forgetting that the timeline was actually President Obama’s idea in the first place). I could care less what they say. Romney is afraid to go on the View. The President and First Lady are not. And the President gets more done in one day than the entire right wing has done in two years! That’s all I need to know.

I read the text of what Mitt said so maybe I missed something like the tone of his voice and his humor is very subtle. You would think a guy with 2 Harvard degrees would know more about science than that. Being in the Republican party could erode your brain against scientific factual thinking or he is pandering to his anti-science, low intelligence party members.
I guess POTUS and FLOTUS are about to tape the View. I can’t wait to see them Tuesday.

I’m buying this issue two of my favorite Presidents mention on the cover.
You liked Ronald Reagan? You seriously liked Ronald Reagan and his policies? Seriously?
yeah I’m not fond of that analogy whatsoever… he is not our Reagan imo. He is way beyond anything Reagan even imagined, just eww.
Also, the headline at the very top is kinda misplaced about Americant women. Right above the pic of PBO. Isn’t Howard Fineman involved with Newsweek? Regardless, it just doesn’t seem “coincidental.” Ack, I’m turning into a conspiracy theorist in my semi-old age! This whole election has me acting strangely out of character. Maybe I SHOULD make another appt with my brain surgeon – he must have done something wrong when I had my surgery in May!
Howard Fineman is with Huffington Post/AOL.
So Agree, sherijr. Reagan was an ass who set this country back ideologically and financially. He had no respect for the government he was elected to serve and had the same condescending attitude toward working people that Romney and his crew do. He had training as an actor so was able to convince some people that he was a good communicator. I couldn’t stand to listen to him and tuned him out or turned him off whenever he was on any tv.
Same here jackie….I am from California and I could not believe the american people were fooled by Raygun. He was not that good of a communicator. He was hyped up by RW radio and the so-called LW news shows. People who benefited from Raygun was not people who made an hourly salary. My payroll taxes were very high, interest rates were very high, credit card rates were very high, it was hard to buy a home because you did not make good wages. They kept salaries low and things did not get better for the average person until President Clinton.
LOL! President Obama is the Democrat’s OBAMA, and I’m telling Sully right now that it’s Republicans who are hoping and praying that some day they will have their Barack OBAMA too.
CNN just showed a segment that politicians in Brazil are now running their campaigns as “The Barack of Brazil” No mention of Reagan anywhere…
Reagan was a GOP tool and is presidency was run by Goldman Sachs. The neocons had not come on too strong because I think Nancy and George Herbert Bush did not like the neocons and they didn’t like him.
not sure I am buying the PO = Reagan analogy. PO is a more effective President with better vision and policy positions.

BTW… I love the replies that @2Freelancer has given to this tweet
Seems like a parody account.
I think you’re right! Unfollow!!!
It’s not. It’s real.
you’re kidding! How can they call themselves journalists?! Must be Chuck Todd managing it!!
The tweets strike me as being from a Romney supporter making fun of the media which they mock as being biased in favor of PBO.
It’s a real twitter account. The guy posted info a while back as to who he was and he’s a journalist.
He’s not part of the WH press corps as the Twitter account suggests. He may be a “journalist,” but he’s a partisan Romney supporter. If you go down his TL, you will clearly see that this guy does NOT like our President, nor does he believe that PBO is being adequately vetted by the MSM.
These right wingers exhaust me sometimes…
No one is disputing that he’s a partisan hack. I’m merely pointing out that it is not a parody account. It is a real twitter account.
It’s a parody in the sense that it’s not really coming from the WH Press Corps as the account name suggests. And so far, no one has provided evidence that this is actually coming from the WH Press Corps. That’s the point I’m making.
Yes, it’s a real account from the WH Press Corps. The tweets are usually really pathetic.
REALLY? And how do they get away with the tweets being so obviously one-sided and mocking of the President? It seems like a partisan RW account!
It’s really no different than what goes on every day on TV and radio – tons of bias everywhere. It’s outrageous and it’s plastered in all forms of media. Forget what it was about, but I read a tweet of theirs the other day that just left me flabbergasted. That’s why I find the entire MSM so utterly horrendous and obstructionist.
The MSM is biased – true. But in this particular case, I still believe it’s a parody account!
I think you’re right, hopefruit. I noticed that most “official” accounts have the little twitter mark of approval, the blue/white check mark. But this account does not. so could be fake. But whatever the case, it’s a highly partisan account.
This issue was brought up in the DPB today with Jay. I think it was Dan Lothian or whatever his name is.

I cannot stand that Jonathon Capeheart ….he just said the Romney is a great debater ….Based on what ? He barely answered questions in those debate and they were usually awkward answers…..
Then Ari Melber said that PBO isn’t a very good debater and really did not stand out during the 2008 debates … The reason …according to Melber : He did not make any mistakes so the media did not get the gotcha moment (paraphrasing )
These people are tripping on drugs…
Why? They are boosting Romney up and undermining pres Obama. In 2008….then sen Obama didn’t stand out for he found the debates…..NOT real debates. But when it was just him and sen Clinton……that was a different pres Obama. All I know is if the pres Obama of 2010…..in Jan at a GOP retreat in VA shows up and ready to KNOW Mittens out…….May the Gracious Lord have Mercy……on the lying bishop. Pres Obama is still a trained lawyer. Yes….Romney is also an attorney, but he Never was in a court Room. Pres Obama was and he taught Law.
“Jonathon Capeheart ….he just said the Romney is a great debater and Ari Melber said that PBO isn’t a very good debater and really did not stand out during the 2008 debates ”
I think that is a good strategy Linda. The GOP and msm are desperately trying to set standards extremely low for Willard (i.e. if he remembers his name it is a good night for Mitt) so it is a good thing that Capehart is raising the bar and expectations. Melber is also helping in that every one assumes PO will automatically do well so he is reducing expectations for PO. Creating a level playing field in the minds of voters.
I don’t know how I feel about all this game playing….it give me stomach knots.
I want them to build Willard up to the moon if they can so when PO kicks the chair out from under Mitt during the debates on next week he has a heck of a long way to fall.
Whatever they’re smoking — I want some.
If expectations are downgraded for PBO and raised for Romney in the debates that suits me fine. Debate wins seem more about who is beating expectations these days.
Deep depression on the dark side:
“I made the mistake of checking the latest polls at RCP… looks ugly, mostly from the usual liberal slime… but also, Ras has Obama in a blowout in Michigan (O+12, same as PA)…

“I just can’t believe that the American people are THIS stupid to re-elect this schmuck. I just refuse to believe it”
Afternoon, Chips Chica! I see you have been having fun. Good for you!
That’s awesome Chips. Yes, I’ve taken to putting on my wading boots and heading into the swamp lately. Most are in the denial state but here and there you see someone who understands math like the one above.
So they gave Fineman a segment on The Cycle ? hahahahhahahahaa Isn’t that like Fox giving Palin a spot on Fox Business Channel.?
"Do you want Obama to be re-elected, then don’t vote for Ron Paul." says Ryan, asked why Republicans shouldn't vote Libertarian or for Paul?— Mark Knoller (@markknoller) September 24, 2012

Jovie, someone said you’re a guy jovie. Is that true?— because, if so, I will have to redo my image of you. (I’m always wrong) (well, not always, but often)
My Dog name is Jovie- beautiful black Labrador!
gosh, knoller, mighty nice of you to spread the idea around for them, as if this was a news piece.
I’m hoping that was intentional by Capehart——the purpose being to lower debate expectations for President Obama and raise them for Willard Mitt—–as he praised Romney’s 60 Minutes interview, said he sounded very reasonable and credible—–FREEDOM!—–said he’s likely to shine at the debates—and said everyone agrees that Obama is a very poor debater. I thought I’d fallen and bumped my head and couldn’t remember it because I had fallen and bumped my head.
And if that was not what he was he doing, when I run for president, I will pay Jonathan Capehart to never appear on my behalf.
Capehart is an idiot. Pres Obama is a poor debater? Please.
Psst @capehartj "Classmate Says #PBO Will ‘Smoke’ Romney in Debates' bit.ly/JyxH5z btw just like #PBO did to #McCain cc @MartinBashir— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) September 24, 2012
I believe that it was intentional dotster and a very good strategy. Everyone else is trying to set the bar at ground level to give Mitt a win for just showing up. I hope he and others continue to say just that.

from their body language, i’d say flotus is about to hit somebody, and potus is winding up his fist.
I agree with Bashir about Paul Ryan’s tax return——-forgetting to note that $61,000 in income—–cheating on his tax return. And agree that this news was released on the same day Romney released his return—– on purpose, so the attempt at tax cheating would be overshadowed by all the attention on Romney’s return. Paul Ryan has proven to be the opposite of the person he has tried to portray——this straight shooter and numbers guy etc. He lies and is unethical and has over-inflated much of his resume’. He has issues, for sure, should seek help, not the vice-presidency.

okay, that’s better.
Hey Os!!! Well, this last month and a half have been the absolute worst. I had to prepare my document for my competency exam, turn it in then sit for my orals. Ugh! So I sat for my orals today and I passed. Just got out, though I feel less competent now than I did when I went in. Worst hours of my life but I really appreciated my committee, they are wonderful professors and I’m seriously grateful they passed me, but I hope not to see them for a very long time. I bought a bottle of Moscato specifically for tonight, pass or fail. it’s chilling in the freezer, waiting to wash down my gullet.
Congratulations lisa!!!! Now what the heck is Moscato? If it’s liquor I would think I would have met up with it already.
yep!ha! a friend introduced it to me. usually I get Barefoot Moscato, but yesterday the Sutter Home Moscato was cheaper. it’s like a sweet white wine. Iz gouda!
Ah perfect. Soon to be in my refrigerator!
Just tried the Sutter Home Moscato. Barefoot is better. still, loving the taste of it on my tongue!!
Congratulations, Lisa!!!! Very, very well done. Hope you enjoy the Moscato
thanks, Bob. Can’t wait to take it out of the freezer!!! my taste buds are already tingling!!!
Congratulations Lisa ….
Congratulations lisa. One more hurdle cleared! Press On.
Looks Like You’ve made it with Flying colors. Oh Yeah. That is Great!!!
Congratulations Lisa. Congrats.
Congratulations, lisa. What happens now in your life?
hey JG! I apply for internship now!
YAYAYAYYYY!! Congrats, lisalo!! It’s a very nerve-wracking process and you just jumped a very big hurdle. Woot!
Lisa, I only just saw your comment – a gazillion billion frillion prillion congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!
congrats! but may i give you some advice? it’s best to have a little food with the wine–i recommend cheesy puffs! that way we can all be there with you!
yay!!! it so happens I have cheesy puffs and pretzels!!!!
Congratulations, Lisa! Enjoy your Moscato! I love wine but Moscato is just too sweet for me.
hey, nathkatun!!! thank you! I love Moscato, it’s the only wine I can drink. A friend introduced it to me months ago and I’ve loved it ever since.
Was just in my firm’s kitchen and some co-worker had the television on Fox News. They were talking about the President saying “sum bumps in the road.” What is that all about?
The situation in Libya and Middle East.
see upthread Jackie. here is the link. http://theobamadiary.com/2012/09/24/romneyplanefeatures/#comment-499214
it is all based on BS.
Faux Outrage….it is nothing…
Yeah because with Bush/Cheney Iraq and Afghanistan ran soooooo smoothly….no bumps in the road there.
PBO in answer to Libya uprisings, responded by saying there will be bumps in the road as that part of the region decides how they are going to manage themselves. Robme, in a desperate attempt to ‘all things political’ said that PBO was referring to the Ambassador and other 3 members killed at the Consulate. Just another way of trying to pin something on PBO, i.e. he didn’t meet with any world leaders while in NY but went to see Whoopi.

Ahem, ahem, ahem….psst, psst…..yoo hoo….mau I have your attention please. For those who watche Chris Matthews, and are want to be upset by punditry musings, take note. He has forewarned that his ‘Let Me Finish’ segment will be on how Mitt can still win. He prefaced by saying of course it involved him winning the debates.
I post this as a public service announcement in an attempt to minimize angst among the masses who may become unhinged at such a prospect.
Chris Matthews now chatting with Joy Ann Reid and Dee Dee Myers. I think Joy Ann Reid is one of the best political analysts on cable. I am always glad to see her on a panel. She just makes sense.
I love her and she should definitely have her own show, or be a co-host at the very least. Look for her to start sitting in for absent commentators.
Twice I have seen Tweety compliment Joy Ann Reid for her insightful analysis.
lolol. I am for anyone boosting Mitt this week because the first debate is Next Week. Whoo Hooooo!!!!! I want Willard elevated to the moon if they can get him there. I want folks supporting this man to think he still has a snowball’s chance in hell of being elected and then, during the debates,
Then, I want to watch every second of Mitt being cut off at the knees. I hope PO will take his time by taking small chunks out of him in debates 1 and 2 and then in the last debate, I want to watch the final blow when PO crushes him. I will record it so I can enjoy the visual over and over and over again.
lolol I am soooo ready for the debates.
nospin: speaking of “crushing an opponent” I will never get tired of this video. It’s like watching that Mike Tyson scene in “Hangover” where he does the knockout while singing a Phil Collins’ “In The Air Tonight”. And unlike Romney, Obama has so comfortably remained true to his description of himself.
I tell you forus50. Thank you for reposting. I love this video because to me it reflects PO in his purest most honest form. He tells you who he is. So all the outright lying, disrespect and below the belt crap that Willard and his cohorts threw at PO or condoned via silence. . . I can hardly wait for this coward to get on the stage next to the President and says what he has to say to his face.
I don’t want anyone feeling sorry for Willard or thinking oohhh he is an underdog. Poor Mitt the Twit. No. I want them to see billy bad*ss, a grown man representing the Republican Party who is the chosen one to “take it to” this President. Then I will savor every second down to his final seconds before my President crushes him.
I can hardly wait.
Yep, I truly love this. He’s still the same — thoughtful, calm, humorous — just a little grayer.
Thank you for the warning… I will turn it to mute for sure….
Psst @hardball_chris "Classmate Says #PBO Will ‘Smoke’ Romney in Debates' bit.ly/JyxH5z BTW, just like #PBO did to #McCain.— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) September 24, 2012
I’m glad Chris, Jonathan et al are keeping #BainMitt on life-support for a few more weeks because the more opportunities #PBO has to crush the guy the better the chances for deep down ticket wins for Ds.
Thanks for the warning cookemom, because I would have blown the Biggest.Gasket.EVAH!
It was snark, but glad I could help.
