Me neither. I saw her earlier on Jansing, while waiting for the President at the UN. She said that our President doesn’t have as close a relationship with our allies as other Presidents in the past. Who is she kidding?
She said that? Hahaha! That is so funny because the truth is actually the complete opposite! Here in Europe “USA” used to be almost a cursing word back in the early 2000′s, but Obama turned that whole thing around. Of course I can mostly speak for Scandinavia, but our relationship to the US is stronger than ever. Romney has no clue what so ever about foreing politics. It’s terrifying what could happen to the world if he actually gets elected!
Glad to hear that, Pixieblue100, and thanks for sharing. We know it, and people like Andrea (who used to be able to call themselves journalists and reporters) need to get off the stage quickly. She’s become nothing but a useless pundit, as her so-called colleagues all are.
Well, just help remind her just how well we all know what her only real agenda is …
RT True @MitchellReports suppresses it @Greytdog: andreamitchell doesn't want anyone to remember that her husband helped destroy our economy— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) September 25, 2012
RT’d, Bobfr – Thank you. She once had an email discussion back and forth with me, when I called her out, and she was trying to tell me how even handed she was (around the time that I wasted my time giving the same message via email directly to Chuck Todd – what a whiny baby he is). I begged to differ, and we agreed to disagree. Have barely watched her since. WOS.
Hey Bob, I don’t know if you know this, but you are supposed to write your sentence first then put RT before the individual’s twitter handle. So for example, to correct what you did in the tweet you simple do this: True. @MitchellReports suppresses it. RT @Greytdog: AndreaMMitchell doesn’t want anyone to remember that her husband helped destroy our economy.
The position you are currently placing the “RT” does not make it clear who wrote the original tweet and some may get mad at you for not placing the “RT’ in the proper position so that others know who originated the tweet.
I agree. She is doing her very best to push the RW talking-points and manufacture controversey to shill for Mitt. I call her ass out on it evey chance I get.
Both speeches were fantastic. I will admit that I cried during the speech at the Clinton Global Initiative. Media is a mess so I watched on CSPAN and am now getting ready for the late shift. Have a great TOD day

Such a great speech. It was masterful. And a touching tribute to Ambassador Stevens.
He articulated better than i ever could ,my feelings towards the violent protests . I was sad, while the crowd appropriately reacted with bemusement, that he had to remind them he gets called awful names every day but he will always protect their right to do so.
I hope those leaders will listen. I hope that the destructive legacy of George Bush is not too strong to overcome. Let’s give credit where its due, what Bush and the neocons did for 10 years probably losts us the goodwill of a generation in that part of the world. And again, it falls on President Obama to repair the incredible damage. I sooo feel for him, the man has taken on so many challenges in a dizzying short period of time that we would understand if it all overwhelmed a lesser man. And yet, he presses on, with energy, grace and humility. While he should be getting his strength from us, I sometimes find myself drawing on *his* strenght to continue fighting the good fight. He’s an inspiration to us all.
His mention of the abuse he takes every day, but his determination to ensure that people are free to express their horrid opinions made me think of Queen Ann,and her entitled demands that her own party stop criticizing her and her husband, and that their supporters stop offering them “advice”. The Romney’s should be ashamed to be running for the Presidency when they are clearly of such little character, and leagues below the current occupant.
President Obama will continue on from the Presidency to do even more awesome things. The Romneys – they will (hopefully) disappear into obscurity. My life is diminished for having known of their existence.
Agree, and that’s why we simply must give him four more years as his “reward” for putting up with the likes of everybody else, all of the lesser beings who don’t either want to understand him or who don’t have the brainpower or emotional compasses to understand him.
devastating ad. yes it clearly outlines the education issues at stake in this election. but it simultaneously smacks robmey down for his duplicity. it says, if you believe this guy, you’ll be sorry, and we know because it happened to us.

The vice presidential debate is a little over two weeks away on Oct. 11, and Joe Biden is getting ready.
His first mock debate with Paul Ryan stand in Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) was held last week, an Obama campaign official tells POLITICO.
“The Vice President has been preparing for his debate with Congressman Ryan – a candidate who has an exceptional grasp of policy details and a mastery of budgetary matters,” the official said.
It was not the same reception as Obama that’s for sure and he did tone down the Obama-bashing. But he still got some in there. It was the best speech I’ve heard from him, mainly because it was not riddled with Obama bash here, Obama bash there, Obama bash everywhere. It was a little heavy on Freedom and I am still not sure what the overarching point was.
When I saw your words “toned down,” I was thinking of his fake brown facial tan. Ha! Hard for me to get past his looks, including the bushy eyebrows, which somebody seems to brush for him every now and then during the campaign. From a very shallow POV, which I’ll gladly own, I have never seen a good-looking Republican. Now I realize beauty is only skin deep, but, as they say, ugly goes straight to the bone. Own THAT, Romney and Ryan.
jeez, did he really hold up the money and talk about his kid’s privileged education? the man is an idiot, and should stay away from cameras and microphones. also, the scary music int his ad reminds me of the twilight zone clip from yesterday–superb subliminal messaging!
If Tammy wins, I’m doing the happy dance for her, here on the streets of my Illinois city, and I’m not even in her district. And I don’t dance that well, but I won’t care who knows it!
I had to pick up a friend who was visiting his mother who lives in Tammy’s district. I saw more Duckworth than Walsh signs (happy dance!). Except for my friend’s mother’s house and her still-living-at-home at 43 years old, Rush listening son. They had a huge Joe Walsh sign, a Confederate flag and a massive sign, “Fight for Our Religious Freedom”. We hightailed it outa there as fast as possible.
WCPT is hosting a union-sponsored debate October 9. The PPP poll still had 10% undecided and I’d love for Tammy to shine in a debate that is moderated fairly and isn’t weighted toward that miserable blowhard. Dick Kay made the ad for the debate, and he calls Tammy ‘Lt-Col Tammy Duckworth’. I love that.
Yes, LtCol Tammy Duckworth is who she is, even though I think the blowhard once said she “talks too much about her military service.” He is a despicable non-entity.
Sio Mrs. Greenspan is having a cow because POTUS and FLOTUS were on The View with Barbara Walters OF ABC. Since Andrea considers herself the Grande Dame of journalism, I think she is miffed because SHE DIDN’T GET “THE GET”. I bet if President Obama had been on Andrea Mitchell Reports this morning there would have been no need to criticize. And talk about carrying water for the GOP. Like so many in the media she just parrots their talking points almost verbatim. At the root of every question is some GOP meme. For me, Mrs Greenspan is severely overrated. Who made her the arbiter of when and which leaders President Obama should be meeting with. The nerve. I hope she gets hammered.
Ah, fascinating. I did not know that. That explains a lot. So many times when I see Andrea Mitchell she is oohing and aahing about some important person she just interviewed or some BREAKING NEWS that only seems to happen during her time slot. It’s not about journalistic integrity, it’s about WHO she was able to GET. And she always acts like she is PRIVY to information that no one else can get. I find her haughty and distasteful. She just seems full of herself all the time.
Lol, the President Obama is good with math and Ms. Greenspan numbers are so low they can not be reported by Nielsen . I cannot watch the video. If he said that, I may have to skip lunch. No matter the context, might it have been even better phrased “sexually active young men”? What’s with the “boys” reference from an adult? From the father of five boys? (I’m not saying boys who are not yet young men aren’t thinking about sexual activity and beyond, but where’s the maturity in this? Where are the parental skills? Where’s the inner compass to hear how something will come across?) Maybe it’s just me, but this is a little too much like a Jerry Sandusky soundbite. And, again, I didn’t even watch the video.
Of course, Romney could recite the Preamble and I’d be just as sickened. There’s that.
Umm…what? I’ve never heard of teenagers of the male gender being depressed because they’re getting laid aka sexually active. It’s the other way around. What kind of flawed research is he citing?

Agreed. I cried too at the CGI speech. The horrific acts these women has endured breaks my heart.

She is overdue for some real discipline.
I guess she does not know that her Lyin Ryan also dated a black woman in college and he and his wife went to the former girlfriends wedding…..
They step in every time…

From your lips (or your keyboard) to God’s (and the voters’) ears!
I’ll dance with you and I’m not even in your state
Dance Across America for Tammy! It’ll be a new reality show. I’ll come in disguise!
Holla!!

Yep. Can’t wait to see that, friend. “Lady dances across Canada; news at 11.” Ha!

Hamilton County is in the Cincinnati area of Ohio. It went 53-46 for President Obama in 2008.
Good for them. I said earlier that all this voter suppression may have awaken the beast. It brought many out of complacency about voting rights. New post everyone:

Wow.
Any word on the executive order brought up at the Clinton Global Initiative?
*If* the U.S. Government is no longer going to be buying from companies that use forced or child labor *anywhere* in their *supply*chains*… then the implications of that action are just staggering — probably further reaching than many casual observers will anticipate.
U.S. Federal contracts are *huge.* For many American companies, they’re your biggest and most important and most reliable source of income, and the foundation you build everything on, if you’re fortunate enough to secure one in the first place. You certainly don’t put those at risk. And even companies for whom the government is a less critical customer have no incentive to lose them as a revenue stream, potentially permanently.
If *supply*chains* are now open to Federal scrutiny, then we’ve just vastly expanded the number of inspectors. Yes, there’s the government itself. But more to the point, there’s every company that either supplies the U.S. Government or directly or indirectly supplies a supplier…
Those companies — *if* supply chains are now being examined — now have an enormous vested interest in examining everyone in their chain and making certain that no one is *in* chains, literally or figuratively.
To simplify, remember Friedman’s oft-stated remark that losing your place in the supply chain is like pouring concrete down an oil well. Once you’ve sealed the well or been kicked off the chain, your asset is gone. Suppliers will not be inclined to ever trust you again, because failures place *their* entire operations at risk.
If this is the situation we’re in, companies in the chain will be looking at each other.. *and* at their competitors, because if you can show evidence of trafficking or questionable abuses, you may be able to undermine a rival and seize market share.
This could not only hammer human traffickers, it could impact worker rights throughout the world.
