“We have to take care of each other, that’s what it’s about this November.”
We’ve already seen this, but hey, once wasn’t enough:
Hello FELLOW TOD-ERS!!
Congrats on 1st Magapie.
I’M ON A ROLL!!!!
It’s a backwards tennis pic for your magapie :-)
Such a great sport! Thanks Chips!!
Second time in top five today! Must not be working hard enough at my job (don’t tell anyone).
Any audio or video on Ann Romney’s Mental well being.
I think it is interesting that she claimed to have minor surgery on her right hand, but that is the hand she is holding the mike with. Hum.
Ann and Mittens are just lying liars.
She knows full well that under President Obama, we have created 5M jobs. To sit there and say he created no jobs sends me up a wall.
If we’re on the topic of idiotic effin NONSENSE that drives us up the effin wall: 1) willard is a great business person. Really? He made a ton of money as a mercenary financier and no doubt has THAT narrow skill set in spades, but there’s NO evidence of general management ability. He kept the SLC olympics from failing with 1.3 billion of federal funds. 2) He’s a great leader. Really?? When, where, how?? At his cloistered firm of clone-like lilly white men 15+ years ago? He slunk out of office as the governor of MA after one term with a 64% disapproval rating.
Are you just realizing that Nena20409?
No. I have known for a while now. The main reason that I just can’t stand Willard or Ann. What irks me is that Al Gore and Kerry were hounded for fatuous made up things and the media that played Mrs. Obama’s one comment about being proud and Ann Romney says these idiotic insulting things over and over and the media looks the other way. Hilary Rosen was talked about for 3 weeks for speaking the truth, yet Ann Romney is not questioned about her reckless verbiages.
Jackie, in keeping with the point you raised, I noticed that her interviewer said Ann apparently couldn’t shake hands before their interview because of the surgery. Maybe holding the mike aggravated it?
Cindy McCain suffered a similar affliction around this time during the 2008 election. Hands with soft tissue injuries are aggravated by the tendon flexion of a handshake, yes, while holding a microphone for a bit could be OK. On one hand ironic, on the other an indication, perhaps, of women who have no calluses.
Or could the more plausible explanation be that both women -Cindy McCain and Ann Romney- who have way too much in common including their superficiality, inauthenticity, embarrassing and off-putting sense of entitlement, a penchant for lying, reaching and uncontrollabe outbursts, Oscar de la Renta outfits they both hoped would magically transform them into first ladies (because they are both that gullible), and husbands that both lost to Barack Obama…
Could it be just as simple as this: they both just don’t want to touch the unwashed masses if they can avoid it…
That very well may be part of it, and it may very well be somewhat unconscious. I also have noted that Ann Romney refers so often to her illnesses and physical problems. That’s OK to an extent,, but at some point it gets a bit tiresome and starts to sound whiney, and like making excuses. We are all sympathetic of course, but the fact that your wife has had major health problems doesn’t make you more qualified or more entitled to be the President.
Now I’m wondering if she’s implying that we should vote for Mitt so he won’t have some kind of mental break, or even worse she is concerned the presidency might cause the break?? OR, is she talking about her own mental health??
@Jackie, I wonder how difficult it might have been for the Romney campaign to find Ann an alternative hands-free microphone set up…
A lapel microphone or the one she’s shown using but simply attached to a mounting clip – or even a combination of both, might have still allowed her to move around freely as she attacked President Obama, without compromising the ‘operated upon hand’…
The angle and flexing movement in which she holds and uses the microphone is actually similar to that that would cause strain especially on a recently operated upon hand…
Ann Romney is just too pathetic for words…
In the short time she’s been inflicted upon the American people, Anne Romney has had so many afflictions and too many corresponding woe is me stories…
Isn’t it the norm to keep a stiff upper lip, grin and bear it and suffer quietly and then much, much later if ever, tell or write a book about the many personal travails and be declared stoic and a hero to silent sufferers who gave it their all…
In all the time we’ve known Mrs Obama, we’ve never been burdened with any stories of ill-health or discomforts she might be going through…
Not a headache or a cold…
And we know she must have tough moments too…
But Mrs Obama doesn’t indulge in self-pity and if there ever was a person who would have the world’s permission to…
And how telling that Anne Romney with all the wealth she and her husband have callously amassed and swim in, will only address the issue of Multiple Sclerosis and breast cancer as a glib pet cause and only for the purposes of a white House run…when she isn’t personally wielding it for all sorts of Anne as victim purposes…
A bored housewife empty nester for all these years, wouldn’t it have been more convincing if Ann Romney had done something tangible about helping others and shining light on these two issues long before now…
For people who have been plotting and running for office forever, they don’t even seem to care enough to fake it…
A million dollar foundation or some random annual benefit named for Ann to raise awareness and funding…something, anything…
Ann and Mitt Romney are such uncanny reminders of Meg Whitman…
Mind-blowingly cold, greedy, selfish, callous, sociopathic and with too many missing sensitivity chips…
But Karma always comes through…
I think if she could, Ann Romney would have walked away from this weeks ago. Neither one of them is up to this, but she is especially unsuited. And, where are the boys?? I thought sure sure they would be front and center protecting their parents. I haven’t seen one of them in weeks. They’re all adults who’ve had high quality educations. Why isn’t at least one or two of them front and center? (Aren’t there 5 of them?) I find that puzzling.
Consider the recent social phenom of the hug as a greeting accepted even in some business circles, replacing the handshake. Would never happen in a Romney White House. (ok, sorry to string those 3 words together but you get my point)
For fun, Google image search “Ann Romney hugs.” And then “Michelle Obama hugs.” You know what it looks like, but the side-x-side comp is extra stark.
Big Ed is starting off on CO and a paid clerk just registering ONLY Romney people…….That is Illegal. And they go around shouting voting fraud?
Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.
VOTER INTIMIDATION IS AGAINST THE LAW!!
Hiya TODville, Must briefly leave Lurkdom. Technically, I should be sleeping here in the Swiss Boonies…I have got to share my news…I got my ballot and voted today and sent it back immediately…it felt GRRREAT!!! Have a wonderful weekend everyone. Waves to Mayor Chips, VC, Amk, Miss Pamela and the rest of the gang.
¸/waving madly/ Hi there, CJ! THAT is news worth delurking to share! Wondered what you were up to and even sent you a DM not too long ago.  From abroad, do you get a chance to vote a full Dems ticket, or just for the president? This inquiring mind wants to know, especially after almost failing a recent online civics quiz. ;)
Hiya VC…good to see you!!!! Jumps up and down (but that could be all the sugar from the chocolate frosting I am trying to perfect)….Full D all the way!!!!
Full D, eh?   [You can stop jumping now. ]
Wonderful news, CJ!! Good job:) Who’d you vote for? HA! Just kidding!!!

*waving waving waving, back atcha, CJ!*. No problem guessing who YOU voted for! Oh, and would you mind lurking a little less, please, ma’am?!
Congrats CJ. Swiss boonies, huh ? Don’t let them chocolates get to you.
GM from my world – I just opened TOD and saw the Ann Romney remark – Did she really say that? was my first thought. The campaign needs to keep her away from the media. I could almost feel sorry for her – but not quite

Wow. Just woke up and can’t get back to sleep and You did it Chips. Wow. She said on tape. This woman is bat poop nuts. Geez. Great job getting it. That is so off what she said. Mental well being? That explains why Willard is such a lying bishop.

Beautifully stated, Bob. Sometimes people don’t get what could so easily have happened without PBO at the helm.
Bravo, TRUTH teller! It’s truly sad that so many in the media do not bother to deal with TRUTH.

Considering he’s “not all there” now…that would REALLY push him over the edge! I prefer not to take that chance!
yes, it’s for his own good. wouldn’t want to see him ‘bottom out’ or ‘get fired’. maybe she should just ‘harvest’ him now, so he can enjoy the ‘right size’ trees, and ride around in one of ann’s ‘couple of cadillacs’. because, really, it’s so ‘hard’, and they should ‘just stop’ running.

Rachel Maddow seems to have taken on an unpaid position as adviser to Mitt Romney…
Never watch her. She is NOT a supporter of President Obama and has NEVER said she is.
Oh I don’t Sabreen…
Just happened to be riding with a friend who does and he tuned into MSNBC on satellite radio…
Even he was quite put-off by her and Chris Hayes…
He confessed he was beginning to tire of her and was pissed at some piece she did yesterday on Afghanistan which my friend called dishonest and purposely misleading…
Which he seemed to blame mostly on Rachel’s need to impress Richard Engel who my friend describes as a shallow wannabe who mostly lacks integrity, craves relevance and reaches for it through exploiting very delicate events in the Middle East to burnish his bona fides as some sort of credible Middle East political observer and expert…
And in the end it really is all about being able to command obscene amounts in book advances as their goals ultimately is to churn out books as self-proclaimed authorities while of course arm-chair quarterbacking President Obama…
Has Romney released his medical records?
He bloody well needs to now, Meta.
So, wait……he hasn’t released his tax records and he hasn’t released his medical records. Good gawd, he’s just wasting everybody’s time. FREAKIN’ IDIOT.
I think they both released their medical records – summary letters from their doctors.
Of course, Willard has enough money to pay someone to “adjust” the records as needed to present him in the best possible light. So I will take those physician letters with the appropriate amount of salt.
You know Ann said Mitt’s dad was crazy.

Actually, CM is right on this one. On Ryan’s use of the 716M of medicare will be towards the deficit; Mitt says no, to be but back into medicare. He, Mitt, says so. Basically, Ryan has been selling conservatism, and Mitt has been trying to move toward the center to get independents. Its a mess between the two.
Joe Biden will hit the virtual spin room after next week’s October 3 debate between President Obama and Mitt Romney, hosting an online discussion with Obama volunteers following their faceoff. According to the campaign, Biden’s post-debate talk will be streamed to 3,200 debate watch parties around the country.
Man these guys are smart! Cashing in on the post-debate spin by leading a discussion with someone who has an inside knowledge of the issues. I love my Dem leaders!
This is one for the history books. I’ve never seen anything quite like this Obama/Biden/DNC campaign team.
I agree. The campaign team has been amazing. This has been the best I’ve seen in a long life.
Loved your tweet, Chips:
As Romney headlines go, this one isn't, um, ideal cbsnews.com/8301-250_162-5… http://t.co/SYuhYLAg— The Obama Diary (@TheObamaDiary) September 29, 2012
Someone needs to tell Miss Ann that she’s not helping. She and Mitt have no social skills outside their own circle of acquaintances and sons. Doubt if their relationships are really friendships, considering the way Mitt interacts (not) with babies and Miss Ann chiding “You people” and “It’s hard.”
Ann’s statement is actually pretty scary, given this observation from Vanity Fair’s James Wolcott after the Egypt/Libya attacks on Sept. 11th:
“Ghastly politics aside, there’s something seriously wrong–psychologically off–about Mitt Romney.”
Ghastly politics aside, there's something seriously wrong–psychologically off–about Mitt Romney.— James Wolcott (@JamesWolcott) September 12, 2012
Those really are amazing comments by Ann Romney –
Reporter: “… she also has worries should her husband become President.”
AR: “I think, um, my biggest concern obviously would just be for the, um, his mental well-being. I have all the confidence in the world in his ability … [but] for me it would just be the emotional part of it.”
From around 7 minutes in to the video here:
Spoken like a true co-dependent.
We’ve been discussing the issue of his psychiatric status, and much of it not in a mean-spirited but deeply concerned manner, for some time.
His incessant lying and blatant narcissism herald a profoundly delusional character disorder …
@georgefwill Seriously, way beyond the tax returns, after this comment bit.ly/Sqe3vs we need a complete psychiatric report on #Mitt— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) September 29, 2012
There’s something really dysfunctional about the Willard/MissAnn relationship. She is constantly diminishing him, saying he can’t do a thing without her, that he needs to get her nod of approval after every debate answer. At one point she said she guessed she would have to do all the talking from now on because Willard kept flubbing up. (proven to be a big miscalculation) And any sensible person would know not to say (in public) that the presidential candidate’s dad was crazy, and, for heavens’ sake, would know not to say that you question his mental well-being, his emotional well-being should he be elected. It’s almost as if she is getting even for playing 2nd fiddle her whole life, for having to serve him dinner first and alone, for everything being about him. It’s almost as if she is purposely trying to derail his campaign, not that he needed her nudge. That’s my amateur psychoanalysis, but I see relationship dysfunction—-big time.
(also thought it was really weird when she told Leno that she made a video for Willard after the last presidential run saying she would NEVER agree to do that again——really? a video? Stranger than strange. Maybe she sees the writing on the wall and is lashing out, justifying the loss—–kindof “I told you so”, again trying to take control)
Completely agree with your assessment. He has more than one screw loose and she’s a tyrant. The way they ran their household is just really very creepy. I think she is terrified of the microscope that is part of being in the WH so she’s undermining him, consciously or subconsciously.
Miss Ann is channeling the first lady in the TV show Scandal. She thinks she is the president.
The Wall Street Journal’s failure to disclose that 10 of its op-ed writers are Mitt Romney advisers has drawn criticism from veteran editorial page editors at some of the nation’s top newspapers.
In a total of 23 pieces, the op-ed writers attacked President Obama or praised Romney without the paper acknowledging their Romney connections.
Media Matters reached out to several veteran opinion editors who either criticized the Journal directly or noted that their papers handle such disclosures more openly.
“Not disclosing is inexcusable,” declared Stephen Henderson, editorial page editor of the Detroit Free Press since 2009. “If you don’t know, that is one thing, but if you are hiding it or purposely not disclosing it I am not sure what the rationale would be. We are pretty careful here to disclose any affiliation. There are times we have declined pieces because someone is too close to it. I am pretty shocked by that.”
He added that it’s the newspaper’s responsibility to discover and report conflicts: “The Journal is publishing this stuff, so the responsibility falls on them. I expect my op ed editor to ask anyone who is writing about a campaign or a ballot issue, ‘are you involved with the campaign? Are you being paid by someone to write this?’ That is our job.”
All the RWNJ trolls have disappeared from my twitter TL. As Jodi Kantor would say, hmmmmmmm……
Is it a mental well-being issue on their part, Meta?
I think Republicans are throwing in the towel on Mittens. He’s definitely a lost cause, not even worthy of serious consideration. And they did this all to themselves.
It’s looking that way Meta. I think they’ll wait to see how he does in the first debate, and needless to say they’ll furiously try to spin it their way, but if it’s a fiasco I think they’ll wash their hands of him and focus on clinging on to Congress seats by distancing themselves from the freak. It’s just not going well … but hey, you reap what you sow.
I despise the creep but it’s shocking how unprepared he is to handle all this. He has no idea whatsoever how to campaign effectively and everything he says is truly bizarre. He lives in a tiny bubble and it’s bursting apart right now.
I’ll confess, I’m absolutely astonished at how awful he is, he always repulsed me but I honestly thought he might be capable of running a smart (and deceitful) campaign that would trouble PBO if people fell for it. I really can’t get over how abysmal he is, we’re truly in Dan Quayle territory here – actually, waaaaaaay worse.
I think back to the early days of PBO’s campaign and everything he did was incredibly brilliant and strategic. Everything was well planned and thought out – gamed within an inch of its life. He knew the long and the short-term gains and – MOST OF ALL – he knew how to be himself. I was impressed from the beginning and he kept surprising me with his genius. AND HE STILL DOES.
PBO seems to have an uncanny ability to make his opponents flail and self-destruct, and conversely he seems to have a knack for bringing out the best in his allies.
Chips, I think she just crippled him beyond repair. I’ll actually be surprised if he shows at the debate.

Houston is in seeeeeerious trouble Bob! When I read the comments first I thought she just spoke really badly, that what she meant was the office of the President is such a demanding one, as a loving wife she worried for her Mittens, bla bla bla. But …. when you look at the video it’s actually way worse, it’s like she genuinely has SERIOUS concerns about his ability to cope. Not that he’ll ever get the chance to find out … and I suspect her bitterness in that interview, and the crap she spoke about PBO, suggests she knows that better than most.
100% agree, Chips.
And, yes, this is serious to the point of making it reasonable, ethical and empathetic to request he withdraw. No joke.
I agree with you and Chips. This is a critical moment for all American voters. Do we elect a President who might loose his mind because of the pressures and demands of being President ? Is this a man who should be entrusted with nuclear weapons? If Ann Romney was truly patriotic she would urge her husband to quit for the sake of the U.S. and the entire world
Chips, take a good look at Romney, seriously. I think he is fraying around the edges (mentally). Mrs Romney knows of what she speaks. She is preparing for the night they lose and the pieces she’ll have to pick up. There is NO REASON to blame PBO for the ineptness of her husband but that will be what happens. He’ll get the blame as usual.
I would like to think so but I don’t see it. Go to any red blog site and they are, by and large, confident that the polls are going to tighten, etc and that they can turn out the base on Election Day. The whole “polls are skewed” crap going on is to keep the enthusiasm up. The power of belief is stronger than facts to that mindset.
I think that’s true of the electorate but I think the upper echelon is now well aware that this campaign is going nowhere.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/1251111139 See what Mitt donors have to pass to get to his fundraiser in MA tonight…hahahaha

so tammy did a nice job, and tommy seemed like some angry “hey you kids get off my yard” retiree. good questioners and moderator. i can see tammy picking up some independent fence sitters, while tommy was just giving out red meat to teabaggers and racist independents. tammy did what she needed to. no big news out of this one.
On this whole tax return thing as time goes by I am more convinced that it is one UGLY UGLY situation and not just an “inconvenient political issue”. Having done some reading on what the various possibilities are I would just say that the core of it is Mitt Romney’s uncontrollable greed. By uncontrollable I mean exactly that – a physical and mental uncontrollable greed much like a person who is an alcoholic. Here’s a guy who KNEW he was going to run for president and yet took the most careless and huge risks in tax avoidance schemes that even the wealthiest and most money hungry millionaires don’t bother with because of the risks. And they aren’t even running for public office! And beyond the not paying taxes what also is the ugly ugly problem is where he invested his ill-gotten money. Again, because of his uncontrollable desire for power and love of money obsession he invested/stole/hid his millions in places that would be considered by the average American as un-American.
Remember Mitt Romney isn’t looking for Democrat approval of his tax returns. Here is where it is so ugly: these hidden tax returns are so bad that they would cause the most rabid Tea Party to not vote for him. Just think a moment about that. So bad that they couldn’t even go to vote AGAINST the Kenyan Muslim Black Socialist guy. Astoundingly awful and yet this is who their candidate for President – 5-7 points behind in the polls.
Well said forus50. Mental Mitt is very psychologically disturbed.
Forus, I think you got it exactly right about obsession with money, which I think, in his mind, trumps everything. He could not control himself from saving as much as possible from his tax schemes, almost as if the greatest sin in his mind is losing his own money. I’m sure he had absolutely no trouble risking anybody else’s money, but his is sacrosanct. That’s why even the political risk was acceptable–anything is acceptable rather than suffer a financial loss. Outside of fiction, I don’t think I’ve ever run into somebody like this before.

I am speechles! I think we need to worry about both of their mental well being. I don’t think she want Mittens to win.
I think their private conversations, especially when they’re separated, must be really on the edge. It’s clear he’s not capable of standing up on his own.
:) :) :) :) :)
Well, she stepped in it big time. She’s up to her hips in in it now. This was the one thing Mitt’s father could never recover from. Willard has tried so hard to be different from his father and now Ann has aligned the two of them for all to see.

Here I thought Vulcher/Voucher actually went a whole day without screwing up some way somehow. Should have known better…
Yeah, forus, I was thinking Willard had gotten through the week without his foot lodging in his mouth. Didn’t see this one coming.
And Jovie, the truly scary thing people would have to contemplate is the consequence of a Willard breakdown– Ryan as President. Just saying it makes my stomach turn over. It’s a big incentive, if we needed anymore–to make sure that never happens.
Jackie, you expressed my concern so well!
Like father like son.. Romney’s father said he was brainwashed after returning from Vietnam… I think Willard was born without a frontal lobe..
There was nothing wrong with George Romney’s brain. He said, after visiting Vietnam, that he had been brainwashed by the way the conflict was described in the USA. There is nothing at all wrong with that statement. In the early days of that conflict there were many who later felt they had been brainwashed. George Romney was too conservate for me but that’s what he was…Conservative. Not a creepy nutjob like Mittens.
She DOES NOT WANT HIM TO BE PRESIDENT…….THANK YOU ANNE. You just sealed your husbands fate or got him off the hook!
President Obama to Nut-N-Ya-Who: “Did you hear what his own wife said about him? Do you want HIM as President after you go to war with Iran? He might not remember your name. Did you hear what the MA legislature said that he wouldn’t take THEIR calls and they’re in the same state! Keep F@#king with me dude and you’ll be voted out of office by your own people for endorsing a nutcase”.
Love it, jojo!!! :D :D :D
I hope the people of Israel are paying close attention, jojo! Bibi has hitched the future of their country on a mentally weak man that might lose it any time; especially if he has to deal with the pressures of being President.
The Robney Camp is calling for Susan Rice resignation, after the Benghazi attack.
Now, come on! This is way over the top.
The Robney camp is trying to set Himself up for the debate, it’s media driven crapola.
How bizarre and interesting…
They aren’t calling for the resignation of the Secretary of State, but the Ambassador to the United Nations…
I have never thought Willard was all right in the head, and I have suspected that he has been heavily drugged on some occasions. There’s just something “off” with him (and his sidekick Ayn Ryan, for that matter). Ann’s demeanor and her choice of words here hint that life with Willard hasn’t been a bed of roses. The stories that have come out about how she handled her miscarriage basically on her own, how Willard eats before everybody else, his bullying past, his financially predatory behavior, how he tied his dog to the car roof (then hosed him off and tied him up there again) —- all this reveals a disturbed man.
Not that I have much sympathy for Ann, mind you. She is more than ready, willing, and able to perpetuate the lies and myths of Willard M. Romney so that she can get into the White House. I just think she’s in way over her head. She truly can’t understand why America doesn”t think as highly of her or her husband as she does. She just doesn’t get “[we] people,” and it leaves her a bit perturbed.
All I can say is I can’t wait until the night of November 6th when we can send these two back to California/Utah/New Hampshire/Michigan, where they can both relax, recuperate, and get all the mental health treatment they will surely need.
You’re right PJ, and Mitt is probably showing signs of emotional difficulties under the stress of campaign trail.
Ann Romney’s “well-being” comments = the ghost of Seamus getting his revenge. We hear you Seamus and we’ll handle this for you. Good doggie!

Here at my house Toby, Haley and Dary say: WOOF-WOOF. (Amen! Don’t c’mon ’round here willard, you think human babies hate you, don’t try us.)

Thanks Pol.-Junkessa!!! “Dary” was a typo he’s Darby. But, you probably knew that! Toby is a black standard poodle, Haley is a chubby bichon and Darby is a powderpuff crested. My wife is allergic to most dogs so we have these hypo-allergenic sweeties. I love ‘em all and wish I could have saved Seamus from his ordeal!
Am I the only one who thinks it’s truly odd that Romney spent the day in PA when he knows he has no chance of winning that state?
HE thinks he’s doing just fine there! Gonna win PA:)
Yes. Df, Willard’s comment about PA was a thing of wonder. He is going to shock everyone by winning PA. Well, Willard, good luck with that. Try one of your little PA bus tours again. That ought to do it. I’m sure the people in Phillie would say, “Oh Gee, what was I thinking? I should really vote for Robney.”
meta, it’s clear, the guy is clinically delusional and those are the only optics through which to view his behavior.
Mentally challenged – Miss Ann seems to know him well – He is getting more and more like Sarah Palin (wanted to stay in Michigan) as each day passes. The GOP as it is now seems to assume defeat is actually a win – just have to make everyone understand that.
LOL, you think he lost his way meta.
Head fake. We are rumored to go after Arizona, so he says not so fast, protect your turf first.
He’s behind by double digits and has been for months in PA. Strategy? no. pure stupidity.
Someone at Old Orange speculated that he went there to fundraise with his old rich country club buddies, because he’s not really getting too many small donations from ordinary folks, and the big money donors have maxed out or pulled out.
That would be the only reason. Or he has a home in PA too.
Mitt is counting on voter suppression.
OT but not really. We know only a few things about Mitt’s history: He & others tackled a kid and cut off his hair; he dressed up in police uniform and pulled people over; he shoved his son’s face down in butter at the dinner table; he tied his dog to the top of his car for 12 hours. Do the majority of Americans know these things? If President Obama had done these things, would he had won the primary let alone the presidency.
Sabreen, voter suppression works on the margin. It does not work with overwhelming numbers. Analysts have been calculating the effect of the voter ID on the PA vote for months now and place it’s impact at one or two percent at most. Even that may dissipate if we get a new ruling from the court re this election.
Didn’t the Republican speaker of the PA legislature guarantee a win for Romney after the enactment of the ID voter suppression law? In as much as I love PBO recent poll numbers I can’t relax until Nov. 7th.
Hey Chips look at Ann Romney speaking in this photo. I could swear that some of these folks are asleep.
COS, I nearly cried  You’re a gem!!!
Well, at least Ann Romney is captivating the, eh, thousands turning up at her rallies (Reno, Sept 27) http://t.co/BpLHMvqA— The Obama Diary (@TheObamaDiary) September 29, 2012
The report I saw suggested 500 people – 100-150 looks likely – And then we have Michelle – what a difference
99ts, they’re counting the rocks as people–couldn’t tell the difference.
The video from the Nevade news station claimed there were 1000 people there.
maybe if you count all the press, the police, the guys who had to move those hay bales, and the aides who pushed everybody over from the nursing home in their wheel chairs.
If this was Michelle that hill would be filled with people. :)
COS, I see the same thing. In the heat and sun and the old guy is still sleep. Must be excited to see Queen Ann.
New Akin ad hits McCaskill on ethics, stimulus (Updated)
By JEDD ROSCHE | 9/28/12 5:42 PM
Todd Akin is coming out with a new ad, aggressively going after Sen. Claire McCaskill for getting rich from the president’s 2009 stimulus plan. The ad, shared early with POLITICO, comes amid a flurry of new activity as Republicans decide whether to support Akin now that there’s no question that he’ll stay in the Missouri Senate race.
It’s getting ugly out there.
Please help spread the word.
If you are in WA STATE – CHECK YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION. Dems have been PURGED SINCE THE PRIMARIES thanks to Gov Asshat.— Tally Briggs (@bardgal) September 29, 2012
Gregoire is a democrat.
Hmm… my friend in WA got purged since the primaries. Who is doing that? They said it was the GOP Gov.
Plus the Governor has nothing to do with voter registration. The @$$hat is our lame-duck S.O.S.
Ah HA. GOP?
Yes he is.
Thanks so much for the clarification. I’ve deleted that tweet…
A fired up crowd has turned up for our GOTV training in Wilson…on a Friday night! That's commitment. http://t.co/qnfwNVi7— Obama for America NC (@OFA_NC) September 28, 2012

Or brains bigger than his.
At least ours are connected.
Would be nice..this is what we have to work HARD for! Let’s give PBO the gift of a Congress that WORKS WITH HIM! That’s the least we can do for such a incredible job well done.
Ann Romney, Mitt's "secret weapon": "You people"… "Stop it! This is hard!"… "mental well-being"… hmm, a weapon of Mitt destruction?— The Obama Diary (@TheObamaDiary) September 29, 2012
Thank you for your replies above – not sure I really wanted to hear Miss Ann – as well as read about it. It seems they both have “mental” issues – must be a hoot when they are home alone. Have to add
“It’s our turn” – there could be a good advertizement in Miss Ann’s words of wisdom
Paging George Bush! paging George Bush! We’ve found your ‘weapon of mass destruction’!!!! Turns out it’s a bobble headed do-do, packaged in the form of a woman and stashed away in exotic locales such as MA., California, New Hampshire, and Utah at any given time throughout the year.
Thanks .@AnnDRomney for letting us know Mitt is MENTALLY UNSTABLE. : youtu.be/M-1WgdWseCY— Tally Briggs (@bardgal) September 29, 2012
Someone need to ask Ann is this suppose to make people feel sorry for Mitt, to like him more.
Seriously. Every day they dig themselves deeper. Now we have a candidate whose wife openly admits could have a mental breakdown.
I am sorry Mitt is mentally weak and unstable! But I am very angry that Ann is so unethical to be out there campaigning for her husband to be president of the most powerful country in the world, despite her serious concerns about his “mental well being” should he become President. The job of being President of the United States is so enormous! It requires a person who is mentally strong and will not buckle under pressure.
What ho, TOD peeps?
I’ve spent a very productive day doing chores and setting up my new laptop, so I haven’t had much time to attend to matters political. I did give an extra donation to the DCCC to make SURE that we retake the House.
So, what’s happened today? Certainly something stupid didn’t come from the enemy camp, like, say, Ann Romney saying she’s worried for Mitt’s mental well-being? I mean, certainly, they’re not THAT stupid? Are they?
Good evening, LL. We certainly couldn’t make this idiocy up if we tried!
After Nov 6 when PBO is safely re-elected and we have control of both the Senate and House, we shall all have to gather at my place and share a hearty laugh. And gimlets.
How perfect would that be:)
@BenLaBolt Apparently, Ann, has now launched a #SAVEMITT campaign to help prevent #MittGoingMental. Our contribution #LANDSLIDEOBAMA2012— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) September 29, 2012

Ann Romney: Mitt Might Go Mental If Elected President
Well, if Ann had asked me, I would have told her the time to worry about Mitt’s mental well-being is long past. I mean, when someone builds their entire campaign on a set of lies, it can admittedly take a toll out of them. And keeping the Teabaggers happy… I have no idea how one would do that without going at least a little mental (whether in the crazy sense or in the evil sense). And I am pretty sure that a Romney presidency will make all sane Americans at least a little mental. But now that we are talking about a possible Romney presidency, what can be better than a president whose own wife has to worry about his mental sanity should he be elected.
New post everyone:
No public schedule tomorrow for Pres. Obama. On Sunday he leaves for Nevada, a rally in Las Vegas & prep for Wednesday's debate in Denver.— Mark Knoller (@markknoller) September 28, 2012
This whole thing is seriously creepy, from Queen Ann “Telling” the voters what to think, to the way she tears down PBO (can you imagine Miche doing that to Romney?) to the people who find her inspirational and a breath of fresh air……yuck. They need to be told what to think?????? Those interviewed after the event remind me of a bunch of sheep being led to the slaughterhouse. But she obviously plays to her audience which just reaffirms my current thoughts about a good share of the Repub party these days.
