Ann Romney: Mitt Might Go Mental If Elected President

    By Deaniac83

    ———————————————

Well, if Ann had asked me, I would have told her the time to worry about Mitt’s mental well-being is long past. I mean, when someone builds their entire campaign on a set of lies, it can admittedly take a toll out of them. And keeping the Teabaggers happy… I have no idea how one would do that without going at least a little mental (whether in the crazy sense or in the evil sense). And I am pretty sure that a Romney presidency will make all sane Americans at least a little mental. But now that we are talking about a possible Romney presidency, what can be better than a president whose own wife has to worry about his mental sanity should he be elected.

With the problems we face as a country, and the problems in the world we don’t need someone in the oval office where we are concern about there mental well being. Now finally I am understanding how Mitt Romney can flip flop so much, how he has no principals, and how he lies so easy, like it’s nothing. Ann Romney has just answer everything.

Good Evening TOD Family. It has been a long day, but a lot of hope out there for POB. I was so elated to wake up this morning feeling so good thus making it possible to fulfill my obligation to do my phoning for POB.

The people are Fired Up and they are Ready to Go and are going. Those I spoke with feel that we have solid people who will stay solid for POB. They expressed loved for him. They are aware of how we all will have to stay together and continue to support POB no matter what the polls are saying.

So many were aware of what POB’s record looks like and most of them knew where to go and also tell others in their families where to go and find information. There were positive. There was hope within those calls. A lot of them want it to be over because they are tired of the ugly and disrespect that is put on POB daily.

I came in and decided to see why I had weird messages from Twitter. Then while the tv was on in the background tuned to RM, and my nervous were too raw with tiredness, so I made some comments there rather than just taking my shower and relaxing. But I am fine now. And coming to my family here gave me the peace and comfort that I needed to add to my space. Good to see the Grassroots FR Pages. Thanks so much, Chips. I hope that I will get some generous shout outs to my page. Thank each of you so very much. We all are helping and making sure that POB and our dear VPOTUS will be re-elected. We can do this. So I do appreciate your generous help to finish my goal.

Please keep me in your thoughts, meditations, and prayers for strength. I feel fine so far. My doctor was happy with the nurse’s reports, and I am a very good patient. But I need to be able to stay strong and help all of my family here to win this. Keep you faith, hope, love, peace, and whatever you are doing to help the campaign because the people I spoke with today are very interested and very grateful for our calling, donating, door to door, small group information meeting, telling them where to get information on making sure that they are registered. They were very kind with their remarks.

I will say goodnight to Chips and to my dear family here.(((((((( I love you all so much))))))))))HZ

Brought this over from last night for you, DF, and hope that our beloved HZ will not mind. It’s from the Long Line thread….. Xo

    • September 28, 2012 at 10:56 pm

Does anyone remember a certain person’s hand that was injured from shaking peoples’s hand? This seems to be only happenning to spouses of Republicans. http://voices.washingtonpost.com/44/2008/08/cindy-mccain-rushed-to-hospita.html

    • September 28, 2012 at 10:30 pm

I do remember that. I watched Ann’s interview and I don’t see any evidence of an injury. She easily changed hands with the mike.

I had forgotten that Cindy Mc hand injury story. Maybe shaking hands repeatedly with the 47% does have a deleterious effect on the rich. Remember Bush brushing his hands off after one such contact? Poor people can be so over-eager and rough, if you’re not used to it you could get yourself hurt! ;) ;) ;)

Until now Presidents were royalty. We now have one that really walks the talk and has no fear of the ppl. No other President has done what PBO has done to include ppl in WH activities. GOD bless and keep him and his family for doing the right thing!

      • September 28, 2012 at 10:34 pm

YES! From the moment they moved into the WH, the First Family has done so much to reach out to the local non-profit and educational community and to invite children and families into the WH. They have completely changed what it means to be in the people’s house. Truly, truly the people’s POTUS.

Yes, Jackie, I am lucky – and he’s my great grandson (my first granddaughter’s boy), so that makes me even luckier to be alive to see him up close. But – don’t worry – grandparents stay just as close to their grandkids via all the love that goes through those computers and cell phones and the occasional visits. Kids can feel it! Enjoy your grand girl.

I’ve been around ten presidents and I can’t remember any other President or First Lady who has been so ordinary people oriented, including having dinner with them on various occasions. I also can’t remember any other First Lady who gave so many hugs to so many people of all ages. Obama’s presidency has truly been the people’s presidency!

        • September 28, 2012 at 11:07 pm

Same for me. Two of my HS classmates died in country within 1 yr of the 1965 graduation.

What is most moving about Senator Webb’s statement is his unflinching support of President Obama irrespective of the policy differences they have had. Coupled with his comprehensive take-down of #ChickenHawkMitt, he may be really helping the President with VA voters who think highly of him and may have questioned whether they should vote for the President.

Bobfr – That’s awful that you lost your classmates so young. I graduated from HS in 1964, and I still feel guilty that when my son was born in 1969, I’d see the nightly news coverage each and every night (whatever small parts they were showing at the time) and remember thinking to myself once, “Not that war stuff again.” Eek. Even though I was young and had a few challenges to overcome (nothing much, comparatively speaking), I should have known better and all these years later still cannot give myself a pass for that.

              September 29, 2012 at 6:56 am

JOB we all remember the horror of that time, the fear, the loss of friends, the feeling that it would never end, the stomach churning dread that your loved ones would be drafted. It was a traumatic time to be a young person of draft age. And later, those who returned struggled with such severe emotional problems, they were never the same.

              • September 29, 2012 at 10:28 am

I dislike Romney’s support of the war and the draft. I can’t say a word about his going to France, because I didn’t think anyone should have had to fight in that war. It was a horrible, ill-conceived, pointless thing. I hated the draft at the time and would have had no problem with friends or family who tried to avoid it. (But they did not support the war or the draft) I didn’t hold President Clinton’s non-service against him so I don’t hold Romney’s non-service against him per se. However I do hold his support of the war and support of the draft against him. He can’t have it both ways. I dislike Romney intensely and I don’t even think he is fit for dog-catcher. I am trying not to latch onto each thing about him without first analysing if why it is worth criticizing and how I would feel if a person I liked did or said it. I’m not explaining this very well but I can’t think how else to say it.

Yes, it was awful, Jackie. At the time, I was working for the Navy – and I like to think I was supporting making sure Navy pilots had the best aircraft to help them come back safely, even if I did it from my desk chair in the U.S.!!!

I saw a clip of Lawrence featuring Webb’s comments, and juxtaposing Webb’s words against Romney’s chickenhawk past. It was blistering. I really enjoyed Webb’s speech here and I hope these comments go far and wide. He puts so-called war hero McCain, and all his fellow veterans’ benefits denying congressmen to shame. It is truly an outrage how unpatriotic these warmongers are and it’s about time they were called out for it.

Ann Romney is Worried that Mitt is Cracking Up

    By: Sarah Jones

    ——————————–

As she was being attended to by her hair and make up people, Mrs Romney said she never wanted her life to be like this (so hard), but she was driven out of worry over Obama. “I think all Americans should be worried if he’s re-elected because this economy has been under his control for the last four years and we’ve seen no jobs. It’s been a jobless recovery.” Apparently no one has told Ann about the millions of jobs waiting to be created in Obama’s American Jobs Act that Republicans, including her husband’s running mate, have killed.

No one asked Ann how giving “job creators” more tax cuts on the backs of the middle class was going to create jobs.

But take heart, America. The woman who knows Mitt best has confidence in him, but is concerned about his ability to handle the job emotionally.

    Heaven or Hell

While walking down the street one day a Corrupt Senator (that may be redundant) was tragically hit by a car and died.
His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.

“Welcome to heaven,” says St. Peter. “Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We
seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we’re not sure what to do with you.”

“No problem, just let me in,” says the Senator.

“Well, I’d like to, but I have orders from the higher ups. What we’ll do is have you spend
one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity.”

“Really?, I’ve made up my mind. I want to be in heaven,” says the Senator.

“I’m sorry, but we have our rules.” And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to Hell.

The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in
front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him. Everyone is very happy and in evening dress.
They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people.

They played a friendly game of golf and then dined on lobster, caviar and the finest champagne. Also present is the devil, who
really is a very friendly guy who is having a good time dancing and telling jokes. They are all having such a good time that before
the Senator realizes it, it is time to go. Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises.

The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens In heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him, “Now it’s time to visit
    heaven…

So, 24 hours pass with the Senator joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.

“Well, then, you’ve spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity.”

The Senator reflects for a minute, then he answers:
“Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in hell.”

So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to Hell… Now the doors of the elevator open and he’s in
the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage. He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls to the ground. The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulders.

“I don’t understand,” stammers the Senator. “Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and
caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now there’s just a wasteland full of
garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened?”

The Devil smiles at him and says,
“Yesterday we were campaigning, Today, you voted..”

Vote wisely on November 6 2012!

    Romney Is Flailing in Ohio

// The GOP nominee’s scattershot campaign and faltering poll numbers have Democrats in Ohio and elsewhere saying, “Thanks, Mitt!” Romney’s struggles have brought on him a spate of conflicting advice from the sages of his party: he should be more aggressive, or less! he needs to be more specific, or less! he must look to the future, or to the past! But instead of picking some bold new direction and sticking to it, he seems to be frantically improvising. His campaign is constantly buzzing about a reboot that never actually occurs. //

They are pinning all their hopes on the debate.
And I bet he gets an assist from the media?
That said, the pundits will tout how great Robney is, and the People will say something different.
It’s like a Championship boxing match, got to knock out the Champ to win.
Which means, the Robney camp is already screwed!

      • 98 nathkatun7
        September 29, 2012 at 4:22 am

You are absolutely right Jovie! I don’t think the pundits will be able to rescue Mitt Romney and make him President. The only way that Romney can change the score is to convince people, watching the three Presidential debates at home, that he landed KO on President Obama. Otherwise, Romney may win the votes of the pundits, but he certainly stands to lose the votes of the majority of struggling people.

  20. September 28, 2012 at 10:58 pm

    This is unusual-

Robert Costa scoops on Paul Ryan working the phones to try to tamp down some of the unrest among the conservative media about the GOP ticket:

In the past week, the Republican veep has called several conservative commentators. In those conversations, he has expressed confidence about the Republican ticket’s chances, fielded questions, and asked for frank assessments…

…Sources close to the Romney campaign tell National Review Online that Ryan has reached out to George F. Will, the Washington Post columnist; Paul Gigot, the editor of the Wall Street Journal editorial page; and CNBC’s Larry Kudlow, among others.

    http://www.politico.com/blogs/burns-haberman/2012/09/report-ryan-works-phones-to-conservative-pundits-136991.html

I am not sure they meant this to be leaked out?

    • 110 99ts
      September 28, 2012 at 11:52 pm

      From the original story
“A source close to the Romney campaign says the calls simply reflect Ryan’s warm relationships with many conservative media figures.”

Ryan is the GOP operative in Washington, no doubt he spends much more time with the “conservative media figures” than the folks who voted for him.

The Obama campaign has attacked Republican Mitt Romney this week for having investments in China, saying it is inappropriate for a presidential nominee to be investing so much money there.

Former Ohio governor Ted Strickland (D), a campaign co-chairman, said it “defies logic.” “It may not be illegal, it may not be unethical, but it is unseemly,” he said in an interview. “It just leaves a bad taste in your mouth.”

Yet the economies of the United States and China have become so intertwined in recent years that many everyday Americans are invested in the Chinese economy, whether its through international mutual funds or stock holdings in U.S. multinationals — including Apple, McDonald’s and General Motors — that have vast operations in China.

The media always seems to find a way out for Mitt Romney, no matter how much they have to twist it…

So the retort to Romney having investments in China is now going to be that all ‘Americans do it’ because of the ‘intertwined economies’

Nice try Washington Post, but that simply won’t cut it…

Americans who have mutual finds generally have no idea what investments the fund makes and they are not running for president. Last I heard, neither Apple, McDonalds or GM were contemplating presidential runs, even though, as Willard tells us, they are people.

Jim Webb on ‘Givers’ and ‘Takers’

    By James Fallows

    ——————————-

Passages like the one below might look biting enough on the screen, but you should listen to the way Webb delivers them. This part begins two minutes in and is worth hearing in Webb’s own voice:
    .
    .
This is a theme straight out of Webb’s heart and brain and soul. I remember hearing almost exactly the same views from him when we first met in the late 1970s. We sometimes think about campaigns as if they’re all about positioning and micro-strategy and all the rest. But every now and then we see the genuine passions and principles that are at stake.

To my no doubt biased mind — biased as a friend of Webb’s, biased as someone who likes very little of what the current GOP represents — the passage of Webb’s is as powerful a response to the “47%” video as this also extremely powerful Obama ad.

MANCHESTER — President Barack Obama’s campaign will bring Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to the state on Friday and Saturday to speak at grassroots events in Durham, Portsmouth, Laconia, Concord, Nashua, Derry and Keene.

To avoid any legal issues, the Obama campaign has made it clear that Sebelius “will be speaking to the press in her personal capacity on behalf of Obama for America.”

The campaign even asked the media to ” refrain from using her official title at the event and in related press reports, and note that we will not be taking questions concerning her official responsibilities.”

I just saw the Weirdest ad on the Rachel Maddow show.
It was a Gary Johnson for President ad, making fun of Elephants and Donkeys.

Strangest ad I have ever seen, what’s more, Rachel had it on her break. Knowing Rachel, She probably authorized it to play for FREE.

What I love about that video of the supporters at President Obama’s birthday party is that the winners were the first people he greeted at the party. They were treasured guests. Not his buddies. Not the high rollers. But, his supporters – who may have given $3 to his campaign. Lovely!

The right-wingers will be pissed off now-

In a small but significant advance for gay and lesbian immigrants, the Obama administration has formally directed immigration agents to consider foreigners’ “long-term, same-sex” partnerships when deciding whether to stay their deportations from the United States.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano on Thursday wrote members of Congress that she ordered Immigration and Customs Enforcement to issue written guidelines making clear that same-sex partners should be considered “family.”

“In an effort to make clear the definition of the phrase ‘family relationships,’I have directed ICE to disseminate written guidance to the field that the interpretation of the phrase ‘family relationships’ includes long-term, same-sex partners,” Napolitano wrote, adding that the temporary stays are decided on a case-by-case basis.

Will Not Let This Drop ….

Never in anything I’ve ever read about a Presidential candidate or President have I ever seen evidence of a spouse questioning the mental (emotional) stability of a potential or actual President.

We must press for as much exposure of this historic moment as we did for the #47Percent and #BainMitt’s investment in Chinese slave labor.

Thank you and when you read down in the story….. etc etc….. these people will NOT be able to run Mitten across the finish line because he is unlikable, unbelievable and according to his wife his mental stability might be in question if he wins.

He’s memorizing zingers? What is this? High school? He’s not good off the cuff and that’s an advantage Pres. Obama has. Pres. Obama is able to quickly adapt to any given situation and is more natural and comfortable in his own skin.

Why not just teach this motherfucker how to juggle bowling pins, that shit should go over well at the debates.

      • September 29, 2012 at 8:51 am

Well, he is playing to the Media. Right? We saw Palin use the same soundbites, that the media loves and will play over and over.
It’s our media, that will not allow for a substantive debate.
Meanwhile, we have heard reports the President is trying to shorten his answers.
Me thinks, the President will make it a choice, every answer, swing at Robney, while defending…

          September 29, 2012 at 9:02 am

Well we know what happened to Palin with those zingers. She LOST, and right now is no where to be seen or heard. If that’s the fate that Romney desires with his zingers, I say let him go right ahead. He can tell his zingers and then get lost, like Palin.

“The ability to find solid blocks of time to do nothing but prepare for debate is almost impossible for a president,” said Dan Pfeiffer, the White House communications director. “The world doesn’t wait for debate prep.”

“Obama advisers are acutely aware that Mr. Romney used debates to dispatch Republican rivals one by one during the primary campaign. When they watched Mr. Romney’s recent interview with “60 Minutes,” they noticed that his answers were succinct and well rehearsed, a sign of the hours he had invested.”

That smells like set up to me. PO’s team are great at luring the GOP in the door. Come on in, water is fine, you have the upper hand . . . .and then BOOM! lol I can hardly wait for next week’s debate.
