Betsy, I am a grown man who doesn’t cry easily but this video made me teary! Some times I think people who are quick to advocate war never think seriously about the impact of wars on children, like Ian, who are torn from their parents. We are blessed to have a president who takes war seriously and will never send young men and women to war unless it’s absolutely crucial for the survival of the nation.
One thing President Obama always, always does is reach out to everyday citizens, seniors, children, women who are vulnerable. He touches them with respect, honor and compassion. And LOVE. He is such a gift to us!!
Beautifully said, Meta! For some of us oldies, who have been around many other presidents, President Obama really stands out in the way he empathizes with, and respects, ordinary Americans.
Just think about all the hard work FLOTUS and Dr. Biden are doing to bring awareness to the experience of military families. It’s amazing how much they’ve achieved in such a short time.
This campaign ad needs to alert the viewer that a box of tissues will be required. I’m in a puddle. I wanted to scoop this little guy Ian up in my arms and give him a big hug. What a sweet little man. Hearing him read his letter to PBO is so sweet and very moving.
He told a lot of lies and enlisted his buddy David Gregory in rehashing irrelevancies about Warren’s Native American heritage. All in all he was very defensive and evasive, while Warren was direct, focused and sincere.
A cheerful Mitt Romney on plane to Denver ahead of debate. ("I wish I could open the window and be sucked right out.") http://t.co/AN9vRSxN— The Obama Diary (@TheObamaDiary) October 02, 2012
Maybe he forgot the first one, and you know how that goes, when you learn by rote, if you forget the first, it’s ohvah! Ha! Hope he brings cash; he may need it to buy his way off the debate stage, eh? “Please, somebody, here’s $10K, get me outta here!”
Does Mitt REALLY have any idea what he’s doing? Does he have any idea what being president of the U.S. entails? He thought all he had to do was announce he was running, and he would be in the White House. He doesn’t like to work, he isn’t effective with people, he is truly pathetic. One thing you can say for little GWB, he made people feel important with his silly nicknames, and turned it over to Cheney who ran things. Romney has no one to run things for him, and he can’t do it.
I’ve seen a couple of clips of GWB in the past two weeks, and I was reminded once again of just how AWFUL he was. I still don’t know how we survived eight years with him, and he left us with the awful supreme court as a legacy. That will take some time to undo!
Just like Governor Deval Patrick said, Mitt has no desire to do the job – he just wants the title. And if he’s planning to turn it over to Grover or Paul Ryan – then everyone is in serious trouble. Paul Ryan was apparently issuing guarantees over the weekend that he, himself, would appoint people in relevant positions who would protect and understand the rights of gun owners and fishermen. Their priorities and values are all wrong.
yep. and reuters tiny headline: ‘obama attends rally in nevada’.
how passive and neutral and boring can they be in reporting on a crowd of 11,000 people in 90 degree heat cheering and excited and ready to work for their president!? then they manage to mention ‘both campaigns’ in the first sentence, and hand the last quarter of the video to robmey’s activities.
Smart grid: A top power industry official is giving thumbs-up to a major initiative in President Obama’s 2009 stimulus law.
Thomas Kuhn, president of electric utility trade group the Electric Edison Institute, will give remarks at GridWeek, a Tuesday-through-Thursday conference on “smart” electric grid technology and policy.
Smart-grid technology sends real-time power data — such as prices and energy use — to “smart” meters via the Internet, with the goal of encouraging energy efficiency and letting utilities defer adding generation capacity.
Kuhn will discuss the state of “smart grid” efforts in the wake of the 2009 law that included programs to boost green energy and energy efficiency. He said about $3.5 billion in federal stimulus grants jumpstarted the industry, and that electric utilities are now starting capital-intensive upgrades on their own.
“There’s a number of projects that have gone forward and continue to go forward without stimulus money,” Kuhn told The Hill on Monday. “Since these things have proven themselves and proven their cost benefit, I think you’re going to continue to see them roll out even without government support.”
Some Gulf Coast states would get less money in the settlement shaping up between BP and the federal government for the 2010 spill that released more than 4 million barrels of oil into the Gulf of Mexico, according to a news report.
“That deal, according to officials briefed by the Justice Department, would be structured to give the federal government more control over the billions of dollars in fines paid by BP as a result of the spill, shifting that authority away from the affected states,” reports Alabama.com.
Here’s a bit more from their piece:
The settlement, one of several alternatives proposed by the government in recent weeks, would divert a greater portion of the fines toward a Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA), reducing the amount paid in civil penalties for violating the Clean Water Act.
NRDA fines flow through the U.S. Treasury and have relatively strict guidelines requiring them to be spent on restoration of wildlife and habitats. They’re also tax deductible — a major incentive for BP.
Well, just like the #47Percent video, will just keep pushing until they do pay attention … right up to close of polls on 6 Nov … that’s our citizens’ responsibility to one another ….
Watching that video reminds one of just how much our President has done to care for our troops and their families and how he would never send anyone into harm’s way unless no other choice was available to him.
You do realize, that for this President to be up 11 in Swing States, and probably up more than 20 in Ny and California, that he would have to be losing the deep south by 40+ points? (In order to be only up 2 Nationally).
That is impossible.
Also, the CNN poll has the President leading the Women vote by 9 points, but only losing Males by 3. Yet, they claim that the President is only up 3 Nationally.
You see, The Electirate favors the Ladies by 2, overall.
So, it’s all about the math, the Algebra doesn’t add up!
I don’t see how Mittens gained any ground with the women’s vote to be able to close that gap by so much. Last I remember it was a gap of 14-20 pts. in favor of our President. Just saying….

Yup, I was pretty thrilled to see that. Jonathan Capehart is proving himself to be a shill, but I don’t think he realizes that he will gain nothing with that. He just looks foolish. One would think he’d have learned his lesson after his mother had to come and tell off Dylan Ratigan for him. (That was embarrassing).

I love it, AMK! I’ve got to find this debate! We must get behind Wayne Powell. He sounds like a winner. It would be so delicious to defeat Eric Cantor. I am sure John Boehner would probably be grateful if Cantor lost.
Hi nathkatun7, Mr. Powell, in my opinion is wonderful. I really do believe that he can win this seat from Cantor. He called in one morning on the Stephanie Miller’s show, and she was impressed with him. Her friend “MudCat” (very nice gentleman) is helping Wayne in VA., with his campaign. MudCat is well known there and feels that the people are behind Mr. Powell. I really feel that Mr. Powell is one that we can help win this.HZ
Well HZ, it’s always nice to hear from you. I trust your judgement/opinion implicitly. I also finally got to see a replay of the Cantor/Powell debate on C-Span and I was very impressed with Mr. Wayne Powell. I am going to send Mr. Powell a donation because I nothing would make me happier than the defeat of Eric Cantor, the man who conspired with Paul Ryan and others, from day one, to undermine and derail President Obama policies.
I fantasize this scenario taking place on Nov. 6, 2012: President Obama and VP Biden have been re-elected; Democrats have regained majority control of the House of Representatives and maintained their majority control of the U.S. Senate; and, both evil conspirators, Eric Cantor in Virginia and Paul Ryan in Wisconsin, have been defeated.
A little OT, but IMO, Ann Romney should be ripe for MSM picking. Unlike Michelle, she mentions PBO all through her speeches. Once the opposing candidate is named by any of the spouses, they are fair game. That’s why I am surprised that not one of the cable shows mentioned her statement about Mitten’s mental state tonight. Randi Rhodes discussed it today. She mentioned PBO several times in Henderson today in front of 1,000 friendly supporters according to an article.
COS, Martin Bashir mentioned Queen Ann’s comment about her concern about Romney’s well being on his show, and ask Anna-Marie Cox to comment., She was very reluctant to touch the subject. I can hardly remember her response, I think she was almost sympathetic towards Ms Ann.

This is for vc, who wants the positive and true campaign messages.
Today is October 1, which means two important cost containment provisions of the Affordable Care Act take effect today. Both promise to have a major positive effect on the entire health care system, by making hospitals more responsible for high quality care.
One provision taking effect will penalize hospitals whenever a patient is re-admitted within a month of a visit for a condition that should have been resolved the first time.
The other new provision will rate Medicare providers and provide higher payments to hospitals that consistently deliver better care. Eventually, seniors will have access to ratings of hospitals and doctors, so they can make more informed choices for medical care.
Now there’s one thing I envy you – sleeping anytime/anywhere! I can’t. I’ll do my tom-tom routine tomorrow as my eyes will be clearer then. Right now I’m actually tired.
I am in awe of people who can sleep any time. It’s been some time now, but the last time I went to Europe (Belgium) from California it took me two days to get over jet lag.
Chips, you are such a very beautiful and special gem to cherish. I remember someone above making a moving and lovely comment about how our Chips is placing so many lovely, moving and thoughtful videos here for us tonight to feast upon.
Then my spirit went to the thoughts of how we were discussing a few days ago how to prepare ourselves for these days leading up to the debate(s). I recall asking each of us to pray in your own private way; meditate in your own private way; think of good deeds that we all have tried to do with our POTUS and VPOTUS.
Then I asked each of us to bring into your space some good music, some great foods; a favorite cup of coffee/tea/glass of wine/ candles(many); thoughts of the gentle spirit of POB; our military; wisdom for each day leading up to the debate night; good things that POB has done for the world; all of his accomplishments up to this point; filling our space with beautiful thoughts in our hearts about POB and VPBiden, our lovely FLOTUS and Dr. Biden; all of the phone calls made; donations made; sore feet from walking door to door; small group gatherings; house parties; seniors being better off now; children being better off now; college students doing well; and our journey as a family here, the TOD Family and our beautiful Chips.
I said that we will think goodness with our minds, sweetness within our spirits(no matter what they try to say about POB and VPBiden), and we will hold our heads up and walk together towards the FORWARD sign because that is where we will go and want to go with POB’s re-election.
And I can see Chips planning tonight with all of these wonderful memories coming together to bring us together for Wed., night and moving FORWARD to that victorious day, Nov. 6, 2012.
So, thank you Chips for all of this. The tears are flowing and that is fine. The comments are thoughtful and caring, and that is what POB would want us to share. We do not need “zingers” to get us through, we will have a president who will talk to us about where we’ve been, and where we are going with him as our president for four more years. We are mature adults and very smart young people
who are Fired Up and Ready To Go!

The only thing I don’t understand is that Romney is still ahead in “reducing the federal budget deficit”. Do people still believe Paul Ryan when he says “the maths is too hard for you people”. R&R economics will add to the deficit with their massive tax cuts – what part of that is misunderstood?

And there are several other quotes from President Obama saying that while we have done serious damage to al-Qaeda and its leadership, they’re still out there plotting and planning.
Misquotes happen, and when they do, “credible” reporters and their media outlets usually point out their mistakes, and when NBC and “Meet The Press” say nothing, that credibility quickly vanishes. Their viewers hear nothing but crickets from Gregory or NBC on their Twitter and Facebook accounts.
Bravo, AMK! for keeping the spotlight on David Gregory’s egregious lies! NBC should be ashamed for not responding to their anchor’s blatant lies of accusing the President of the United States for saying something he did not say. Obviously, David Gregory has elected to be a propaganda spokesperson for the GOP. The burden is now on NBC. NBC must decide whether it’s program “Meet The Press” is a credible, non-biased, journalistic program aimed at informing the public; or whether it’s a propaganda voice of the Republican party. If NBC decides that it is the former, then NBC has no choice but to get rid of the blatantly Republican partisan David Gregory.
This scums like gregory need to be rooted out of msm and more honest people (I am sure there are still some left) have to be brought into the journalism. A complicit, corrupt fourth estate is the worst enemy of the people.
The New York Attorney General has sued JP Morgan Chase for allegedly defrauding investors who lost more than $20bn (£12bn) on mortgage-backed securities sold by Bear Stearns.
JP Morgan bought the investment bank Bear Stearns in March 2008.
It said that it would contest the allegations.
This is the first action to come out of a working group created by US President Barack Obama looking into the causes of the 2008 financial crash.
///
The BBC’s business editor Robert Peston said there were some “jaw-dropping elements” exposed in the suit.
He said it disclosed “a manic and frenzied culture of procuring and packaging as many mortgages as humanly possible, to maintain the bonds spewing from the investment bank, to generate as much short-term profit as humanly possible”.
“All this is a bit like the fifth instalment in a series of horror films, with each succeeding production gorier than the preceding one,” adds our editor.

In this poll, as in others, R&R still seem to have the advantage on who can reduce the deficit – despite Ryan refuses to explain the maths that does not add up. I hope the President gets a chance to refute this in the debate. R&R have no clue how to reduce the deficit – the first thing they are doing is raising the deficit via tax reduction.

I know this President has many haters which to me is astounding since he has so many people adoring him too. I feel fortunate to be a supporter from the beginning. I feel like I am on the right side of history. Wouldn’t it be awful to be one of the haters?
I think we are so lucky to all be supporters. He has taught us so much. I remember thinking about how he worked in his community organizing in teaching the people he worked with how to advocate for themselves instead of just doing for them, a sort of teach a man to fish example. I think his community has spread to all of us and he is teaching us to be involved with our government and advocate for better governing. I know I had never called, emailed, wrote, signed petitions or donated to campaigns before I was inspired by this man. He has taught me not to just sit back and expect that voting alone is enough. He taught me to dig and find facts not just listen to the media or politicians. I see that they lie to us and we need to be vigilent and make them adhere to correct procedures.

So, quinnipuac thinks we can’t add. Fact- 51-49% women to men Voters in America.
Fact: in this new poll, the President leads by 18 points on the Women vote, and Robney leads by 10 by men.
For a total of 8 points, seeing how the Women voters out weigh Makes, shouldn’t the lead be more than 4 points?
Again, I can add, and this is not a conspiracy, it’s Math!
I did the maths thinking it was wrong – but if men/women are 50:50 – it looks correct to me
100 men 42O 52R 6 someone else
100 women 56O 38R 6 someone else
Add them up for 200 votes: 98O 90R
Divide by 2 to get % (100 votes) 49Obama 45Romney
There are slightly more women than men – but perhaps likely voters are equal. Even with 51-49% if would round to 49:45
Stats are weird – they don’t always “look” right. I could have made a mistake – happy if someone can find the error.
Aha, you’re right 99ts. I see what they did here. Jovie, we were not dividing by 2 (as we should have) to get the correct percent since men and women each comprise roughly 50% of the sample.
Having said that, I’m surprised that PBO is STILL trailing by so much among men..and I’m wondering whether the pollsters are underpolling minority men. In 2008, PBO and McCain were dead even among male voters overall, but PBO trailed McCain among white males by 16 pts.

In other poll findings, Obama leads Romney 49-45, the same four-poIInt margin as last week’s 50-46 findings. ////
The Blue and Red states are each 30 percent of the sample (MoE 5.39 percent). That Obama leads in Blue states by 19 points isn’t surprising. But Obama losing the Red states by just 11 is. It shows that even in hostile territory, Obama gets significantly broader support than the other guy.
It also suggests that Democratic down-ballot candidates running in Red areas will have a somewhat easier time getting to 50 percent than Republicans running in Blue areas (think North Dakota and Arizona Senate races, versus Massachusetts and Connecticut).
David Gregory and Chuck Todd teaming up on the Today Show to promote Romney, airing multiple clips of Romney and Ryan—–did manage to show Obama for 1 second, arriving with pizza at the campaign office in Nv. I have always maintained that MSNBC is largely a right-leaning network, with a few centrist/liberals shows in the evenings to broaden their base of viewers. The entire MSNBC programming from 7AM through 1PM is unambiguously slanted towards the GOP. You feel like you’re watching a big Romney informercial when you watch MSNBC before 2PM on weekdays.
Yes! It’s so obvious that the Republicans have lobbied NBC. They are practically All republican!
I bet their viewership declines like CNN, because moderates and liberals now have nowhere to go to get their side of the story.
not sure what more needs to happen for people to see that david gregory and nbc and all the major “news” companies exist solely as propaganda arms of the super rich and their bank accounts (i.e. keep liberals out of government as much as possible). meet the press ratings have been on a constant downward spiral since david greagory took over, and yet he’s getting promoted more and more on the network. so all the time spent “pushing back” or keeping tabs on what they’re doing is a waste of energy and time in my opinion. we know why those people are there and why they do what they do. david gregory is doing exactly what he’s paid millions to do! they don’t care what “the public” thinks.
clearly it’s not about some notion of ratings (there are many other examples of poorly rated shows/people getting promoted across all the networks too). they created the false “liberal media bias” theme to really mess with the public’s mind to top it off! i still see republicans to this day promote the idea that general electric, the company that pays david gregory somewhere around $7 million/year, is an out of control liberal juggernaut, and especially its ceo jeff immelt. would be hilarious if the results weren’t so tragic.
They really want a close race – that is why they keep promoting Romney. They also think they are King makers – but given the different media today – especially social media/the internet – they are fighting a losing battle.
so if mittbot was far ahead right now, do you think they’d be promoting and lying for president obama in order to get a horserace? i don’t think so. the news doesn’t care about a horserace or ratings that much, since why does david gregory, and so many other republican shills in the media with terrible ratings, keep their jobs year after year?
I agree 4more. This is not about wanting a horserace. The media is being directly lobbied by special interests who do not want President Obama to be re-elected.

No surprise here – move along, move along: the MSM will make the election a horse race because it’s good for business. Reality has set in, and the electorate is not in their favor. It’s time to buckle-up, put you adult pants on, and get out the vote. Because on November 7th, the meme will be that Obama did not win it, Romney lost it. That will be the GOP excuse for delegitimizing the outcome. You all can see that coming, right?
i don’t think it’s about a “horserace” at all. if that was true, that would mean if rmoney was way ahead right now, “the news” would be dominated by stories about mittbot’s overseas bank accounts and miss anntoinette’s crazy and mean statements in order to pump up president obama’s numbers. no, actually to make a more accurate comparison, they would be making up completely false storylines against the rmoney’s in order to help democrats in general across the board.
do those who think “the news” promotes all the republican craziness because they want a horserace really think “the news” would be promoting president obama 24/7 if mittbot was leading? i sure don’t.
It’s not a hypothetical. It’s a reality which we saw in 2010, when the DEMS were losing. There were NO efforts in the MSM to make it a close race. They kept beating up on the DEMS, trying to make it a referendum on President Obama, talking about the DEM enthusiasm gap 24/7. When the Rethugs won back the house, the media happily obliged Mitch McConnell when he presented his ugly mug on the TV declaring his wish to make PBO a one-term President.
For the MSM, this is not simply a horserace and may the best man win. The MSM has a vested interest in Romney winning, PBO losing. The corporate overlords and their allies have given their marching orders that President Obama will lose, or his win will be de-legitimized.
Other than Fox, I think there would be much more discussion on the positives of the President – if he was losing. Thing is, no-one will ever know because it is impossible for PBO to be in that situation. I believe the media want it close – they want to be the ones to “pick it correctly”. At the minute it is so obvious – anyone can pick the result.
The media has been negative on PBO from since 2009 and they have not let up. They have sought to make him a one-term President but have fallen short of their goal because of President Obama’s superior execution, campaigning and messaging (which bypasses the media). In addition, the voters are more savvy about the media manipulation of narratives and their vested interests, and have found alternative ways of getting info, so it’s more difficult to swiftboat this President.
Hi
Hi all
Congrats you two on being first.
Hey Chips. Busy night thanks for the coverage
OMG Chips, that was amazing, just sobbing here! I just can not express enough how much I love and respect President Obama.
You are so right about that. I have a close friend who is in the military, so I see it up close. Thankfully her hubby is home right now.
Top 10!! Woooohooo!!!
That’s hilarious.
Such a moving video of a very sweet, smart child who is paying attention to the world. Wow.
Major water works here and the kid gets to give his Dad a Presidential challenge coin. AWESOME SAUCE. My keyboard is wet!
Were they both challenge coins? They’re so beautiful. One has the Presidential seal and the other has PBO’s iconic signature. Really gorgeous pieces.
Okay Chiips why are you trying to make folks cry!??! That was the most beautiful video yet.
One thing President Obama always, always does is reach out to everyday citizens, seniors, children, women who are vulnerable. He touches them with respect, honor and compassion. And LOVE. He is such a gift to us!!
^^^^^^^^^^
THIS!
All I could think of is, Mittens is in trouble!
Beautifully said, Meta! For some of us oldies, who have been around many other presidents, President Obama really stands out in the way he empathizes with, and respects, ordinary Americans.
Hope all the war mongering macho people get to appreciate the impact of war on families and service people.
Just think about all the hard work FLOTUS and Dr. Biden are doing to bring awareness to the experience of military families. It’s amazing how much they’ve achieved in such a short time.
I thank FLOTUS and Dr. Biden for their hard work.
I really love the name Ian.
My son’s name…..I love it too
10th!
There’s always such a great, positive, communal vibe at President Obama’s events. Hopeful and optimistic. Reflective of the man.
that was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
This campaign ad needs to alert the viewer that a box of tissues will be required. I’m in a puddle. I wanted to scoop this little guy Ian up in my arms and give him a big hug. What a sweet little man. Hearing him read his letter to PBO is so sweet and very moving.
Me too.
Excellent.
HI All,
So I thought his Dad was back home? Then at the end it seemed he wasn’t?
Didn’t realize you guys were over here, so I’ll repost this from way back.
I heard that David Gregory debated Elizabeth Warren tonight. What did Scott Brown do? Moderate? Cry?
he sort of whined.
He told a lot of lies and enlisted his buddy David Gregory in rehashing irrelevancies about Warren’s Native American heritage. All in all he was very defensive and evasive, while Warren was direct, focused and sincere.
Go, Elizabeth! Good for her.
Good o, Jackiene
Good one, Jackie!
If that’s cheerful, I’ll eat my voter i.d. card. Wait … never mind.
Maybe he forgot the first one, and you know how that goes, when you learn by rote, if you forget the first, it’s ohvah! Ha! Hope he brings cash; he may need it to buy his way off the debate stage, eh? “Please, somebody, here’s $10K, get me outta here!”
Or realizing that his wife’s best effort to save him has gone unnoticed ….
That man looks mentally unstable to me.
MiTT: “You said if I got on the plane you would give me zingers and let me open the window”
I like Ann, I’m worry about his mental well being. Look at him.
Makes sense – the rest of the world isn’t denying Climate Change.
What the hell was that video? And what’s this salty discharge (Seinfeld)?
Their priorities and values are all wrong.
yep. and reuters tiny headline: ‘obama attends rally in nevada’.
how passive and neutral and boring can they be in reporting on a crowd of 11,000 people in 90 degree heat cheering and excited and ready to work for their president!? then they manage to mention ‘both campaigns’ in the first sentence, and hand the last quarter of the video to robmey’s activities.
http://www.reuters.com/video/2012/10/01/obama-attends-rally-in-nevada?videoId=238095645&videoChannel=1003
And I doubt that 5K people would voluntarily show up at a Romney rally without some kind of bribe. Just saying.
Click here for more on the conference.

Excellent! Thanks Jovie!
How shocking—Willard gets another racist endorsement.
Perhaps more appropriate for the previous thread, but still worth viewing and sharing!

Bohr, I get the feeling the media does not want to touch Queen Ann’s comment about King Arthur Romney
Well, just like the #47Percent video, will just keep pushing until they do pay attention … right up to close of polls on 6 Nov … that’s our citizens’ responsibility to one another ….
#PRESSON
BTW, if what your intent was with “Bohr” was “bore” – just say so the next time.
I’m known for being boringly persistent. It’s one of my most treasured traits
#FORWARD
Tweeted it!
Watching that video reminds one of just how much our President has done to care for our troops and their families and how he would never send anyone into harm’s way unless no other choice was available to him.
Beautiful story. Thank you Chips for sharing it.
#PRESSON
ooookay that video is a tearjerker.
The only state that the President is losing by 40Pts is Utah. No where else.
Then the President is even more ahead, because I can add! Tell CNN, that the president is up 6 nationally, at least. Sandbagging!
Saw that! Laughed and laughed and laughed!
GM folks.
So, how did Warren-brown debate go ?
David Gregory changed Scott’s diapers several times other than that Elizabeth Warren crushed him.
Good morning amk!!!
GM Bob. After what happened y’day, gregory was shilling for the rethug ?
I just checked Ranman’s petition and it just needs 12 more supporters.
For the lurkers/latecomers, here is the petition to make gregory, the shill, apologize for his blatant lie.
https://www.change.org/petitions/nbc-and-msnbc-to-apologize-for-the-deliberate-lies-david-gregory-told-against-obama#share
Yes, amk – I’ve signed it
Thank you!
Just signed.
Thanks for posting that link here, amk! I mentioned to Ranman that if he started a petition on Change.org that we would sign it! Happy that he did that…and I signed it just now.
Thanks df for the idea and the signing.
See my rant way below.
Signed!
Already done.
Bob, you are too much! I just can’t stop laughing at your comment even as I type: “David Gregory changed Scott’s diapers several times….” I didn’t watch the debate but the image of Gregory changing Brown’s diapers is so memorable and totally hilarious!
It gives me great joy, nath, to know I brought some mirth to you … especially after all your kind support!
#OutPerform1936
Yes We Can
And Bob . . . I tweeted both the question from AMK and your response. That was awesome.
I’m at the point where I have to change channels whenever Capehart is opining. Back to the Bears game.
Dotster, I am glad that Sam Stein set him straight for a change.
Nate Silver gives Warren a 69.1% chance of winning.
“MSN”?
You are such an ace with the video production, Chips!!!
Thank you
OH, STUNNING!!!! Just absolutely beautiful!
One of the things PBO and his team do really, really well is stage events and roll them out with class and innovation and excitement. WOWOWOW!!!!
Meta, I have always felt that way about PBO’s team as well. The lighting, the music to move with every step of the events. I loved the music when he and FLOTUS walked out on stage at Grant Park the night we won. The music was so presidential.
His team is a classy one indeed.HZ
Can’t watch this on my IPAD
If that ain’t a Stand Up and Cheer video, I don’t know what is. Thank you Chips! That was beautiful!
Wow what a video.
Wow. Dems are growing steel.
She has 1000 friendly supporters? Sounds like the media has lost the maths again.
Same day registration, as well!
Tom Cole —a member of the Chickasaw Nation— the ONLY registered Native American in Congress, should moderate the next Warren/Scott debate so that Scott can tell Tom that he isn’t Native American because he is white.
We have lots of First Nations people of every description here in Canada. Even some as “white” as Scott Brown. What a jerk.
Tom Cole – republican congressman.
EXACTLY! Love Joy!
GM Claire. Were you able to sign that petition at all ?
Thanks for the reminder. Just checked the site and I can get on it now.
egg.cellent.
I love her too. MSBNC should dump that ridiculous “The Cycle” and put in a show for Joy – right now!!
If they can take that part out? And instead get rid of the loopholes that make Robney only pay 15% and make it illegal to park your money offshore etc. That could bring in 100 billion per year. Big time money!
Thank you, kind sir!
I do feel far more comfortable sharing positive info and stories. I’ve read it, but haven’t decided yet how to share it.
Did you have a good rest, or are you like me who needs a few days to fall back into sleep routine after a long trip.
Being the baby that I am, I can sleep/unsleep anytime I want and anywhere I want.
That was really good news about ACA that needs to be tom-tomed.
Now there’s one thing I envy you – sleeping anytime/anywhere! I can’t. I’ll do my tom-tom routine tomorrow as my eyes will be clearer then. Right now I’m actually tired.
I’ll pass the baton to you and skedaddle.
GN vc. Have a good rest.
*(((((((((((((((((( Thank you, our beautiful Chips for bringing us together to hear from our very special President, Barack H. Obama.))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))HZ
You always put it just right! You are a precious gem in your own right, HZ. Thank you!
Watching rebroadcast of The Ed Show. Ed just made this very salient point about the boy wonder better known as “:Lyin Ryan”
IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE A HEARTBEAT AWAY FROM THE PRESIDENCY YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO EXPLAIN YOUR OWN TAX PLAN TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.
Exactly. Ryan is not only a liar, he’s also lazy and condescending to the American people. He should be fired from his Congressional seat AND not even get within a whiff of the Naval Observatory (VP residence & office).
That’s great amk. I would love to see a pic of folks camping out, most likely to vote for their President.
Here is a pic: http://instagram.com/p/QQ1vG5rAq5/
And when he got booed, he started naming judges randomly like there was no tomorrow…he ended up Sotomayor at which point even shill Gregory (who was probably very embarrassed by then) had to point out that Sotomayor and Scalia were on completely different ends of the spectrum…
Just like #BainMitt, Scott Brown is teenaged punk who’ll do or say anything to get applause or a vote!
So, the Republicans think that the Al Qaeda killing of a US Ambassador, is a Gift?
Because, they have CNN and fox to push their crap?
Disgusting! And so is our Media, for being so desperate to jump on anything. Ruthless bastards.
Traitorous bastard. Off of whom should be fired, some of whom should be jailed for treason.
Okay, I was groggy. I meant to say “Traitorous bastards. Some of whom should be fired, some of whom should be jailed for treason.”
Sheesh. Bad idea to comment on blogs with caffeine deprivation syndrome in effect.
On a good note, Macy’s will be hiring 80k workers.
Nice!
Is this for the holiday season, or just in general? 80K is a LOT
Holidays, and then they will see.
That’s very good news! I hope those jobs lead to permanent jobs.
Signed! Hope we make it and I hope with all my heart that we can make a difference.
Thanks dd. Despite some misgivings, I think twitter is truly a mass media tool that should be used to call out the lying & corrupt pols and media. The ripple effect, if ti worked, can be awesome.
Hmm, when I click the link it says 80 more needed. Re-tweeted. Hope it brings in more than enought signatures.
Isn’t it odd, and pathetic, that Jon Stewart’s most frequent target for attack and ridicule is President Obama? Stewart has issues. Psychological study needed.
I hope President Obama is getting a chance to enjoy this Bears game. They’re giving the Cowboys a shellacking.
I’m sure POTUS was watching his Bears tonight.
Jon Stewart’s most frequent target for attack and ridicule is President Obama. Obama won’t kiss Bibi butt.
Yeah. Their is something fishy with jon Stewart and Bibi Nut an Yahoo and Anthony Weiner and Ed Koch.
The lot of them, can take a long walk off a short Pier.
If they aeros concerned bout bibi, let them go hold his hand, volunteer for his army ,send $ NOT our sons & daughters. Let the war mongrels go themselves.
Fuck Jon sTewart. I’m done with him.

Seattle is pretty. It also has a 19th Century underground City, they built over it and left it in tact. It’s like going back in Time. Anyways…
Thanks for the info jovie141.
Ok my turn for forwards.
i love this blog. I have no idea who runs it, but is is just awesome for positive and up to date info about POTUS.
If you subscribe you can get updates for things like speeches last minute and last minute place the Prez is visiting.
Also I made it into the sept 21 or 22 blog roll with my anti Romney sign.
Over and out for now Ramona
brought me tears.. what an amazing video!
That is so awesome. The state Senator who will be standing with them is also awesome. That is a precious right that we all have, and surely we encourage each person who will be sleeping overnight on those streets in OH to be able to cast their vote on the first day of early voting is something so very special. Another ‘goodness’ effort to come out of something that was meant to hurt and harm people.HZ
Amen to that!
FLOTUS he has my vote.
Can anyone explain who these undecided voters are? What are they undecided about?
URGENT!! Please repost this here and RETWEET everywhere. Send this vid via email to everyone you know. Text it. Facebook it. The key is have it go everywhere as quickly as possible. This is why PBO told everyone to vote early. – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmIYnmntVNo&feature=player_embedded#!
This is scary! We gotta prevent the Rethugs from stealing this election!!
This must be tweeted like crazy. Everywhere. Special attention to all the national pundits.
dafuq ???
First the page said it needed xx needed to make the 100 count. Now that it has reached 103, it is now saying 97 needed to make the 200 count. At what point, do they actually submit the petition to nbc ? 500 ? 1000 ?
This is annoying. If they wanted xxx count for the petition to count, then they should say it up front.
There is another petition out in the blogsphere under moveon.org and it has over two thousand signatures.

Report: Romney Avoided Taxes, Profited From Offshore Accounts http://www.nationalconfidential.com/20121002/report-romney-avoided-taxes-profited-from-offshore-accounts/ via @breakingnewsusa
Mr. Hayes are the people Mitt don’t waste his time worrying about them. We have to get out to vote to show Mitt that we don’t care about him either.
http://cendax.wordpress.com/2012/10/01/the-problems-romney-has-to-overcome-in-the-debate/
The only thing I don’t understand is that Romney is still ahead in “reducing the federal budget deficit”. Do people still believe Paul Ryan when he says “the maths is too hard for you people”. R&R economics will add to the deficit with their massive tax cuts – what part of that is misunderstood?
Have a good nite folks.
Okay it’s official. Scott Brown is a complete full blown idiot.

Totally agree, AMK. More people are fighting back now. And many are turning off these incompetents.
///
“All this is a bit like the fifth instalment in a series of horror films, with each succeeding production gorier than the preceding one,” adds our editor.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-19795646
No wonder these fuckers are pumping money to defeat PBO.
Remember him ? The ‘we’re all georgians now’ comment from the moron mccain?
The once revered AP.
Really sad.. no, fucking pitiful!
Thank you for this site. I am up at 3:27am due to severe mouth pain. Hope the Ibuprofin kicks in soon. Had my teeth cleaned and my gums are sore because of it. TMI?
The video of Ian brought me to tears although I will say I was close prior to viewing it. Thank you for the opportunity to see it.
Ahh, my mouth is numbing so now I can go to bed. See you all later.
OG, I’m glad we have a teacher in the White House too.
I hope you’re feeling better soon.
LOL.
Scott Brown’s Palin imitation: Who’s your favorite Justice? All of ‘em!
GM Dudette. That one was funny, wasn’t it?. Wish I had thought of that.
GM amk!
I saw that weasel throw out other justice’s names when the crowd booed him for naming Scalia as his favorite. What a punk!
I hope PROFESSOR Warren pummels his ass into the ground on Nov 6.
Have a lovely day!

CFPB — Obama’s fault!
This one is for our own Bobfr, the tweetanator.
Just saw that—-maybe slowly but surely this kindly warning by Miss Ann is being exposed. So far, the news media has been protective of Miss Ann’s grave concern, keeping it tucked away, decided ‘you people’ did not need to know about this.
The president will remain in Henderson, Nev., while he preps for the first presidential debate. He has no public events scheduled. Vice President Joe Biden will campaign in North Carolina, with stops scheduled in Charlotte and Asheville.
THANK-YOU Jovie!!! I was just about to post the exact comment.
Obama’s lead is really about 8pts, NOT 4pts as Quinnipiac is trying to suggest.
Tricks with averaging. They put that 8% over the 100% of voters and voila, you get 4%.
Oh!
You’re correct.
Thanks forus50 – I thought it was – but my college maths/stats was over 40 years ago!
In qunnipiacs mind, men out number women voters, at least that is what they are positing!
Yay!
Mites new reach out to Immigrants?
Nobody will be deported with a 2 year Visa.
No shit! I knew that. This is not a new policy, if you have a Visa, you can stay.
This guy thinks we are stupid?
Go wimmin.
Polls are open in Ohio!
O.M.G! I specifically did not watch the lead video posted by Chips. I read all the comments then went back to watch. Now I am understanding some comments about tissue needed. I am bawling like crazy. We need this to viral.
So, the WH leaks out, Why, that they were concerned about Al Qaeda in North Africa before the Embassy attacks, and that they might attack Embassy.
That sounds an awful lot like the PDB that Bush got.
Their is something fishy going on, as in, this report is probably fabricated by the Republicans to make the President look bad.
It is illogical to leak secret meetings that will hurt you. Duh!
Therefore…
It does not sound right!
These WH leaks have happened for quite some time now. There is a mole in there perhaps… Probably in the NSC staff…
I think it is a Cheney mole in one of the Intelligence agencies…….

Todd had a preview of Romney’s “zingers”, where Willard says he will build the oil pipleline if he Has To Build It Himself! Wow, what a “zinger”! Now the Today Show has “O’Reilly” as a guest to opine about the debate. Today should be renamed Today’s Republican. No pretense of fairness or objectivity any more.
Journalism is dead.
They really want a close race – that is why they keep promoting Romney. They also think they are King makers – but given the different media today – especially social media/the internet – they are fighting a losing battle.
Couldn’t happen to a more deserving group.
so if mittbot was far ahead right now, do you think they’d be promoting and lying for president obama in order to get a horserace? i don’t think so. the news doesn’t care about a horserace or ratings that much, since why does david gregory, and so many other republican shills in the media with terrible ratings, keep their jobs year after year?
I agree 4more. This is not about wanting a horserace. The media is being directly lobbied by special interests who do not want President Obama to be re-elected.
From the DNC Rapid Response Team
lmao. all those shills elevating mittbot to such a height that he is gonna have a humpty dumpty moment after the debates. look at upchuck toady’s ‘passion’ for mittbot.
Mitt isn’t going to change – the guy is a carboard cutout – he’s not suddenly going to become a caring lovable man – he will be like Palin – learn the talking points – which may give him some good talking points but nothing else whatsoever.
We saw the real Mitt Romney in that Mother Jones video of him speaking to his people, the millionaires and billionaires. I know I’m not falling for any of his B.S., about how he care for people like us.

Not really interested in thinking about that hypothetical – it’s too risky.
Some comments regarding the absence of the father in the video above. A person in active service cannot appear in political publicity.
