‘GOTV video created by Obama volunteers and supporters in Los Angeles’
Thank you Hgerhard!
President Obama carries boxes of pizza as he arrives for an unannounced stop at a campaign office in Henderson, Nevada
Thank you Dudette
I regret to inform you guys that tonight I will be rooting against POTUS and FLOTUS. Can anyone guess why?
Is one of your teams playing against Chicago?
Texans are like that!
The Cowboys play the bears tonight!
I know and Bears should be capitalized. Was that an error or a diss?
Yes I am a Dallas Cowboys fan
lets do it!!!
Ok folks. I was just looking at the pictures of President Obama surprising the OFA office in Nevada, and I got to thinking—our new OFA office is opening on Tuesday at 6 p.m., and President Obama is coming here (Colorado) for the debates, so I was just thinking, put two and two together, and maybe, just maybe, he might have to come and surprise us!!!!! What a great idea! Don’t you all agree. (If that happened I think I would die!) Everyone, keep your fingers crossed. I will let you know!!!
He definitely should, Cindy, and he could! ( far be it from me to determine what PBO ‘should’ do)! Fingers crossed for you!
Love, love, love this! "LET'S RE-ELECT HIM" : youtu.be/pjNPCswlhF0 ht hgerhard— Dudette (@Dudette9t9) October 01, 2012
I like it, but I confess ‘Take us FORWARD’ with all that variety of people (young old, big, tiny etc etc) singing and dancing and shimmying has locked up top spot in my Obama-campaign-song heart!
Yes we can re-elect him! FORWARD.
.@PowellforVA I was gonna say "Beat the snot out of him” but that wouldn't be #ladylike, so I'll just say "Good Luck" tonight! :-)— Dudette (@Dudette9t9) October 01, 2012
I am tired, but this debate should be very interesting. I saw Mr. Powell on Stephanie Miller’s Show several times, and I like what I heard from Mr. Powell. Mr. Powell would be a fighter, IMO. Watch and see what you think.HZ
When I donated to Mr Powell a little earlier, in the comments section I may have suggested that he go ahead and kick cantor’s butt. And I thanked him!
Ryan: I Didn’t Explain Tax Math Because People Would Change The Channel
Paul Ryan defended his refusal to go into the specifics of Mitt Romney’s tax plan during a Sunday interview, saying on Monday that he likes Fox News host Chris Wallace too much to turn off his viewers by talking math.
“I like Chris,” Ryan told Wisconsin radio host Charlie Sykes Monday, via the Washington Post. ”I didn’t want to get into all the math of this because everybody would start changing the channel.”
Yes, LH, because we’re all too stupid to understand Mr. Profundity. He would tire our little brains and he mustn’t do that. What an arrogant horse’s ass this guy is.
What great descriptive adjectives you have – poor little blue eyes can’t believe that real people actually DO understand the maths and don’t thing his numbers add up.
Yup – that is such an arrogant and insulting statement from Paul Ryan, and it betrays the fact that their FOX listeners are brain-dead and uninterested in facts. What a horrid little man.
yeah. that’s why they’d change the channel.
"It would take me too long to go through all of the math".@PaulRyanVP. [Especially since I myself don't really understand it.] VOTE him OUT— Vick C. (@sonamie) October 01, 2012
“When you’re offering very SPECIFIC bold solutions CONFUSION can be your enemy’s best weapon,” .@PaulRyanVP Specific YET confusing, Paul?— Vick C. (@sonamie) October 01, 2012
Ryan’s budget that has never added up has proven for a long time that he is not the budget wonk he likes to think he is. The GOP legislators have just bowed to his so called expertise never even questioning it naming him their intellectual. Like Santorum says their party is not one of intellectuals or the smart people. Ryan is proof of that. I would love for their highly revered expert to be shown up to be the fraud I think he is.
Nice try, but no one’s buying it.
TOD Family…would any of you be interested in buying one Billboard in a swing sate and putting up our own ad for our President?
Not sure what the cost would be, but I am sure between all of us we could put one up. The design..well we have so many that have already been done…I love the ONCE YOU GET AHOLD YOU NEVER WANT TO LET GO, but some of the pics with our guy and babies…well those would bring a smile to anyone (almost).
What do you all think? It is getting down to the wire, and how awesome would it be for our TOD family to have our own Billboard
Carla, this is a nice idea, but there are a million logistics involved in this. Copy, design and money are the least of it. The thing has to be manufactured quickly and then space found and rented, which means someone on the ground scouting the best place in a bunch of states. Not sure this could be accomplished in the time left before November 6.
I love this. It’s great!!!
Not to toot my own horn, but, yes, we rock here in L.A. #FORWARD
I have to give to ya. L.A.’s got it goin’ ON!! Props due!
America…built by Dreamers!
I had dinner with friends Saturday night. They’re OBSESSED with moving to New York. They keep saying they’re going to move — although they never do. And they always try to get me to move there.
Now, I was born and raised in NYC. And my first two years out here in L.A. were spent plotting and planning to move back to New York for college. But then I bought my first car, and I was accepted to UCLA, and life didn’t seem so bad here. And now when I have dreams in which I’m back in NY, I wake up upset, and relieved to know I’m still in L.A.
No dispute there, LL! great job!
Another good one!!!
Great music videos.
Excellent! Thanks for sharing it, Dudette! Music inspires and gives the campaign the energy to sustain it.
Let’s Re-elect PBO. Fired up & Ready to Go.
bringing this forward from prev post–robmey invested in chinese company that bootlegs american media (big loss of us dollars to china) and also bootlegs american college entry exams (big cheating scandal for which company was fined). oh,yeah, and he says pbo is soft on china:
‘ Romney’s recently released tax returns show that he invested in the parent company of Youku, a sort of Chinese YouTube that was a haven for pirated movies and TV shows, though the company is now apparently cleaning up its act.
Another notable Romney investment, which has so far gone unnoticed, was in a Chinese private education company that was cited repeatedly in the late 1990s for selling bootleg American graduate school entrance exams and was forced by a Chinese court to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines in a landmark copyright case. ‘
Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood touted a new air traffic control tower in Pennsylvania on Friday as an aviation safety improvement.
Congress has directed the Federal Aviation Administration to consolidate some of its air traffic control facilities, but LaHood said the agency’s new facility at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport would improve flight navigation in that part of the country.
“At 118 feet tall, the new tower reaches twice the height of the 60-year-old tower it replaces, giving air traffic controllers better airfield views and improved lines of sight,” LaHood wrote in a blog post on the Department of Transportation website.
I know who LaHood will be voting for in November.
He has really been an excellent Sec. of Transportation!
SHANKSVILLE, Pa. — The U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded the National Park Service $1.2 million to finish work on an access road at the 9/11 Flight 93 Memorial in southwestern Pennsylvania.
The memorial in Shanksville marks the grounds where a hijacked United Airlines jet crashed in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Investigators determined the hijackers likely planned to crash the plane in Washington, D.C., but were thwarted when the 40 passengers and crew fought back and the plane crashed as a result.
Each year, about 400,000 visitors to the memorial use the road.
A private group, the Flight 93 National Memorial Campaign, has said it still needs to raise about $5 million more to complete the entire memorial, which includes a learning center and a tower with 40 wind chimes.
The first new transportation funding mechanism passed by Congress in seven years goes into full effect this week.
Most of the lawmakers who passed it are out on the campaign trail seeking reecltion. But many of the spending provisions of the $105 billion Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century (MAP-21) bill that was approved by Congress in June will take effect on Monday.
The implementation comes with the beginning of the new fiscal year for 2013.
you know what i noticed about Willard? he gets very befuddled and bemused by specifics. he’s so unused to them, he’s avoided them so much that when he’s confronted with them, it’s like he loses his mind. I hope Team Obama has also recognized this in time for the debates.
It’s a given that the Obama crew has studied Mitt’s 2000+ primary debate performances, and his 123454+ different positions. They’ve got this.
‘…Willard … gets very befuddled and bemused by specifics’
I really do think Willard doesn’t know how or is mentally unable to connect dots for a cohesive argument. That’s probably one reason his campaign was going for zingers. He is a sound byte kind of guy. In my mind Willard remains the epitome of an Asperger Syndrome candidate. He has no doubt always been brilliant mathematically but that was all. I would bet 1/40 of his $10 000 that he struggled majorly with essays or subjects involving the written word, and his social skills were non-existent. His anxiety, blustering, etc etc and need to have AnnD visible in the audience are also signals to me that he is on the autism spectrum. With no clinical training or experience whatsoever, I ‘diagnose’ Willard with all the confidence of Michele Bachmann’s husband, whatever his first name was.

How wonderful for them….and look at that diversity.
The cute blond seems taken aback by his presence…
I would be, too. They’ve been working so far away from DC for a man they probably never expected to meet, who happens to run the world. And then, there he is – standing right in front of them. And some of them look pretty young, too. It’s probably a tiny little office – and yet, there he is! Incredible.
He is a great man! He makes you proud to work for him. Both POTUS and FLOTUS know how to show appreciation to all the people behind the scenes who are working so hard to re-elect the President.

Mitt Romney tough on China, since when? Great video.
I really liked this ad!
Romney is pulling down George W’s favorables. W will no longer associate himself with the party that would have Romney as a candidate. He has asked that his name not be used by, nor in the same breath as Mittwit. W is protecting his 43% favorable rating, as Mitt’s plummets to 47% unfavorable.
Pool report: Obama brought 6 pizzas for staff on his visit to Henderson, NV, field office, is now making calls to potential voters.— David Nakamura (@DavidNakamura) October 01, 2012
Wonder why Mark Knoller didn’t tweet this. He looks like he spends a lot of time around food.
Maybe he was too busy stuffing his face with some of the pizza and couldn’t find time between mouthfuls to tweet.
Actually it occurred to me that the President wasn’t eating; the pizzas were for the volunteers so maybe that’s why Knoller didn’t tweet about it. For some reason, Knoller gets very excited when the President is eating junk food on the road.
He reports on other trivial stuff. Maybe this wasn’t trivial enough or maybe they left his fat butt in D.C.
Yardarm, may be he is angry that the President didn’t offer him one of those pizzas.
The key take-aways here are that President Obama thought of his volunteers and staff, all while he’s supposed to be shaking in his boots in anticipation of the “massive turnaround” and “zingers” that Romney has planned for him on Wednesday; and that he is making phone calls. He’s still a community organizer.
Forget pinching herself to see if she’s dreaming. The blonde is gonna choke herself just in case.
The poor dear is veritably verklempt!
LOL! She can’t believe she’s standing face to face with the President. Thus it must be all a dream. So surreal…sigh…
CK, you make me laugh so often!
It was nice of POTUS to stop by to say thanks to the staff and volunteers.

There’s something lonely, yet serene, in that picture, Dudette. He looks like he’s praying. It’s a lonely spot for him, and he seems to feel the full weight of all the people’s whose lives depend on him doing the best job he can possibly do. And this picture was in 2008 – BEFORE he even knew the full power and the full weight of the Presidency. Imagine how much more he must feel the pressure!
I’m glad there is an army of us out here, praying for him, cheering him on, fighting the nonsense. He looks like a simple man, preparing himself for an altogether non-simple task – the difference between life and death for so many. Literally.
Ah, like that, Dudette – added to the post, thank you!

a wapo oped titled ‘Paul Ryan’s budget flimflam’, is credited to the wapo editorial board–this is official opinion:
‘ PAUL RYAN wants to tell you about the wonders of the 20 percent cut in tax rates that he and running mate Mitt Romney propose. He doesn’t want to tell you how much it will cost. On Sunday, Fox News’s Chris Wallace asked the Republican vice presidential nominee this basic question four times, citing projections of a 10-year cost of $5 trillion. Four times, Mr. Ryan dodged, hiding behind a flimsy scaffolding of pseudo-wonkiness. “Look, I won’t give you a baseline with these because that’s what a lot of this is about,” he said.
The GOP wants voters to think that only the rich would be affected by its loophole closing. “And don’t forget that the higher-income people have a disproportionate amount of the loopholes that they use,” Mr. Ryan said. Well, actually, no. Higher-income people reap a “disproportionate amount” of the benefit of lower rates on capital gains and dividends — households earning more than $200,000 a year receive 90 percent of the benefit. But the Romney-Ryan plan would leave that break in place. ‘

recent report finds campaigns still not reaching potential of spanish language ads:
‘ Democratic candidates for federal office have spent about twice as much as their Republican counterparts on Spanish-language political ads, according to a survey of 10 states with large Hispanic populations.
President Barack Obama’s campaign has dedicated about 9 percent of its television ad budget to Spanish-language ads, while Republican nominee Mitt Romney has dedicated about 4 percent, the report said.
The difference is most striking in House races where Democratic candidates and groups have invested about 12 percent of their ad dollars in Spanish-language ads, while Republican House campaigns have invested less than 1 percent. ‘
It’s clear where their priorities are. The GOP don’t care about Hispanics. They can’t rely on them to vote. Instead, they focus their ad dollars to deceptive ads to hoodwink their FOX news viewers. It’s a strange strategy, because it alienates a whole swath of the electorate – not a smart strategy if you’re actually trying to win a national election. That’s why it seems more likely that this is a local strategy, to keep House and Senate seats.

Have I told all of you just how much I love my job? I mean, yes, I get paid a good public servant’s salary with excellent benefits. But just the joy of helping people who are grateful that you’re there for them increases the remuneration exponentially.
Ah, sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet LL, thrilled you so love what you do – and that people show their gratitude. Lovely
How can I become a librarian?
Well, grad school. The degree is Master of Library and Information Science. And make sure it’s ALA-accredited.
In California there are two ALA accredited schools: UCLA and San Jose State. UCLA is the harder to get in to, and you basically have to go full time. San Jose is a fully online program, has fewer hurdles for admittance, and as far as I’m concerned it seems that employers prefer their graduates. Of course, I’m one of them.
When I was in middle school (Jr, High back in 1970) I earned credits working in the library. I thought about becoming a librarian until I was told how much schooling I needed…..sorry I did not do it now. I had the bun and everything back then.
I was going to go to library school after finishing UCLA in 93. But I didn’t have it in me to go at that time. It finally took me being very unhappy with my life’s direction to get the kickstart I needed to get my Master’s.
thanks for that info LL
You’ll want to start here: http://www.ala.org/educationcareers/ It’s where you can find which schools are ALA accredited. Also gives you information on a whole range of subjects relating to getting the degree and a job afterwards.
Three of my high school friends went to UCLA. Happy librarians all — though they’re probably all retired by now. I considered it until I realized I might have to deal with people. ;-]
Well, to be frank, I wasn’t planning on a career in public service. I’m as surprised as anyone that I’m doing what I’m doing, and that I adore it.
I’ve loved libraries since I was an avid reading kid, and love seeing your job through your eyes. Also always loved museums, which I understand since I’m an artist, and hardware stores, of all things.
Librarians ROCK!! I love ALL of you!!
LL, your job is, in my humble opinion, very important to civilization. When I was in graduate school, four decades ago, I depended on Librarians and especially in unearthing rare manuscripts. I loved taking my children to the Library and my youngest daughter developed interest in research and history. She is now busy writing her PhD dissertation and still very much dependent on Librarians. Although I am not in school anymore, I still go to the public libraries in my city to find rare books as well as current publications I can’t afford to buy. Any way, I just wanted to let you know about people like me who love and highly respect Librarians.
I’m urging everyone that has a few extra minutes to make calls—-just go to the Obama website—-and Go!
I’m running into a few people who say they’re leaning toward Obama but are hesitating—-and need a nudge. Just a few encouraging words to bring them into camp.
Please and thank you.

How she manages to stay upright is a mystery to me. Good googly moogly! Look at that! I can’t even imagine this hug without a naughty mat nearby. #lawdamercy
Naughty thoughts wouldn’t even cross my mind because I respect the man, and you know dam well I respect FLOTUS.
Nope, that wouldn’t matter to me at all! I’d just have to apologize to FLOTUS the next time I saw her.
And I would be happy to visit you in the hospital. Cause I have a feeling we know what FLOTUS would tell you to do with that apology.
I reckon she’d be completely cooooooool with it Annibella, she knows Cookemom’s heart is in the right place!!
If you say so Chipsticks, her heart is in the right place.
But minds is also in the right place.
I’m tryin Chips, I’m trying….sigh
What to do with that apology.
I’d be honored to take that beat down. I’d so gladly, with a smile on my face. I couldn’t think of a better person to slap some sense in me. Do you think she’d let PBO visit? I’d look up at him through my black eye and with my toothless grin, from the rightful onslaught FLOTUS laid on me.
You, CM are too incorrigible. Why are you teasing Annieb?
Anniebelle knows I just kid and it’s all in good fun. I wouldn’t harm a hair on PBO’s head, not give FLOTUS any reason to wonder bout me. No sirree.
Who said anything about ‘harm’? Anyway, anyone listening to Cantor? I don’t like him and since I don’t know Powell I didn’t bother to tune in.
I just made a comment about the Cantor debate on the new thread that’s up. It’s hard to look at him, but he must be running scared to have even agreed to a debate at this point in his political career and his position in the House. btw, the harm part of my comment was how I wouldn’t be too rambunctios in my attempt to grab and hold during a hug llike that one.
that photo will be on her bedside table for many years!
Watch it there gurlfren! Michelle and the TOD don’t play what you’re thinkin’ about doin’.

I do believe I gettin’ the VAPORS!! Somebody bring me a fan!!
Stand in front of this for an hour Dudette – and that’s an order!
I’d have to open a window on an airplane to get enough air to cool my jets after a hug and look like that one.
You better talk to this guy, Cookemom:
Too much suckage!!
Yes, a heavy-duty fan! Good thinking Chips!
Move over Ladies! I am small, don’t take up much space, but ooh la la…. I need a break! shazam!

Hey @MittRomney, don't overdo your debate preparations, relax and, say, enjoy a movie: youtube.com/watch?v=ECVyuz…— The Obama Diary (@TheObamaDiary) October 01, 2012
I know someone who is preparing very hard for the debate Wednesday night and that is my cousin, Jim Lehrer. He is scrupulously fair and exceedingly hard working. He will go into that debate totally prepared. I know him well, and plus I’ve sen him inerviewed by Marvin Kalb on what a moderator’s job is. He knows how to control a debate crowd, and when Kalb asked him about crowds clapping and yelling in a debate, he said: “Not in mine.”
He believes the journalist’s job is to get the truth. He has been chosen every year, because as he said someone once said about him, “He is the least objectionable.” He doesn’t mind that designation. He thinks the press has a responsibility, and when others don’t carry that out, he will. We in his family do not know whether he is a Republican or Democrat, and his wife says she does not know who he votes for. I don’t think we can ask for much more than that. He is human, and does have his likes and dislikes, but he is a consummate professional, so I think we can trust that Wednesday’s debate will be well handled. Also, there will be no leaking on the questions for Wednesday night…..that just doesn’t happen with him.
Wait, what? Jim Lehrer is your cousin? You just blew my mind!
I have been saying that of the 3 moderators he’s really the only journalist among them. Mittens might want to reconsider his “zinger” strategy; I don’t think Mr. Lehrer will tolerate gimmickry.
I am thankful for that. I am guessing that Wednesday night’s debate with Mr. Lehrer will be the ONLY fair one. I don’t pretend to expect the other moderaters to be objective at all.
Because it will be the only “fair” one, it will have more of an impact. Candy Crowley and Bob Schieffer won’t be able to carry Mitt’s water for him after Jim Lehrer sets the expectations for the moderators.
Just on a personal note, Jim is a delightful person. Can tell great stories, loves to laugh, but cannot be drawn into political discussions by either my sister or a cousin, who desperately want him to declare he’s a Republican. He smiles, disarms them, changes the subject, and they are left hanging….I love it. To get a good view of him…….view a youtube of him doing the bus calls he did when he worked at a bus station in southern Texas while going to college. He still remembers the entire route from about 50 years ago, and it is great! That is the Jim the family knows.
We have a couple of characteristics in common……we both love words, we look alike across the eyes, and neither one of us is gray. He is four years older than I and is beginning to show a little. We chose our ancestors well.
Wow LL, you make a great point. The only debate moderator that I have any respect for is Jim Lehrer. I think he will be fair. But I think you are right that because he is going first it will put a lot of pressure on Crowley and Schieffer to just do their jobs and not be concerned about carrying water for the Republicans.
I was just devastated when I heard that Candy Crowley and Bob Schieffer had been selected as debate moderators. They are two of the worst possible options. I think UT said that Candy Crowley was practically sitting in John McCain’s lap this weekend. And that so called interview that Bob Schieffer did with the new team Romney-Ryan was embarrassing. I would have loved to see Rachel Maddow and Bill Moyers moderating the debates. But I can just imagine that team Romney-Ryan would have protested loudly.
The one thing that Newstainers don’t want is to be made the fool. If Lehrer runs a very good debate, they won’t want to pale in comparison. Ego trumps all for most of these folks.
// Candy sat on John’s lap, facing him, looking at him longingly while he massaged her shoulders, upper arms, chest and surrounding areas. Oh, how her body ached for his touch. It was a while since she’d been loved in that way and although she badly wanted to get up and get back to work, but her body betrayed her will at this time.
“What hon?” He replied with a concerned expression. He briefly took his left hand from her shoulder and gently placed a finger on her lips, whispering softly “shh” She swallowed hard. “John, I..I..I can’t make..”
“Don’t worry baby!” He interrupted her with a soothing whisper. “It’s gonna be okay – just trust me on this…” //
..To be continued…
LO – yup, that about sums it up.
Caroline you can’t be serious. Jim Lehrer is your cousin?!?!?!? WOW.
Well thanks for sharing this with us and for reassuring us as to the professional journalist that Lehrer is.
I’m happy that the first debate will be moderated by a REAL journalist, a man who has prepared seriously and will be able to push back against BS ( I hope the debate format allows this ?).
The first debate is the most important one I think, given the conventional wisdom in the DC Village that it’s Romney’s last chance. I’m relieved that the moderator is someone like Mr. Lehrer.
I agree that the first debate is most important. And I believe it will be viewed by the most people as well. I am ready!
Way to go, Carolyn, having such a well-regarded cousin! He’s great and I always like to catch his show. All the best to him during the debate.
Carolyn, so fine of you to share that with all of us.
Thank you, Carolyn. This helps me a lot in making my decision ‘to watch or not to watch’! One of my brothers has for decades worked for WETA, is often stage manager, Teleprompter, or cameraman for Jim’s Newshour, which is now Washington Week. He has often spoken highly of the calibre of man your cousin is, and I share that view. I no longer watch Washington Week, as I feel the tone has changed since Jim Lehrer retired. New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has sued JPMorgan Chase over mortgage-backed securities related to the 2008 financial crisis, according to a tweet by CNBC.
As HuffPostBiz’s Mark Gongloff notes, the securities in question were originally created by Bear Stearns, which JPMorgan bought in 2008, according to The New York Times. The lawsuit is also the first by Obama’s White House Task Force related to the financial crisis.

FLOTUS will be in Ohio tomorrow, then Nevada Wednesday, and Colorado Wednesday night. POTUS will owe her a wonderful wedding anniversary Saturday night. Their 20th wedding anniversary is Wednesday, but POTUS is busy that night. When they were on the View last week, POTUS said they would do something Saturday evening to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary.
Dying to know what he got her for an anniversary gift!!
Just another gentle ‘minder that the MA senate debate between Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren will begin in a little over 30 minutes. CSPAN one TV will carry it live and also CSPAN.org will also livestream.
For those who have DVR’s, Eric Cantor will debate his challenger for the VA-07 house seat at the same time (7PM ET) and that will be carried live on CSPAN two TV.
This link has absolutely nothing to do with the election ( http://www.tomdegan.blogspot.com/ ) but there is no doubt in my mind that President Obama or Vice-President Biden would have given the soldier his seat. After all, Barack Obama paid for a stranger’s excess baggage years ago when he was not famous and had little money himself.
Of course – that goes without saying.
Sobering and touching, and so so true. Makes you wonder what’s in place of a person’s heart.

Senate Democrats’ campaign arm has reserved $526,000 in airtime for the race starting tomorrow.
That’s a big buy, for a senate candidate.
Oh, if Gen. Carmona replaces that odious Jon Kyl, I might plotz.
Finally! I think Dr Carmona is a strong candidate and may be the upset story of Nov.6, 2012!

Forget the Zingers @BobSchieffer You have the wife of a Presidential Candidate questioning his MENTAL Well-Being if elected. That's the NEWS— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) October 01, 2012
As just noted in a previous thread, I will not let this issue drop until 6 Nov and the polls are closed unless the ’4thEstate’ begins reporting this bone chilling assessment by someone who has lived 43+ years with the current GOP candidate for President.
Your help is much appreciated.
Thank you LL. I hope you are considering penning one of your fine essays on this crucial matter.
You know, that’s not a half bad idea. It would tie in to how secretive the Romneys are.

Want a Zinger @NYTimeskrugman – the wife of the current GOP Presidential candidate is concerned for his MENTAL WELL-BEING if elected. ZING!— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) October 01, 2012
Bob, I appreciate your tenaciousness with this and hope it works. Martin Basir brought it up today on his show and no one would touch it, evem when he specifically asked Anna Marie Cox to comment on it. She said she would not “mock” Queen Ann. Martin said he was asking in all seriousness but she shuttled it off to his doing something different in campaigning than business and that causes him some stress. Huh! As if he’s never campaigned before. At this point it simply like the MSM is going to ignore it. But I hope you keep it up.
Thank you for letting me know Martin Bashir opened the topic. If anyone has the video, I’ll shape it into a tweet that makes it clear this is the exact opposite of mocking Ann Romney, this is taking her in a deadly serious way – a tweet to that effect is going to be on its way to Mr Bashir momentarily.
TY @MartinBashir for taking SERIOUSLY Ms Romney's concerns for her husband's Mental Well-Being if he's elected. Her honesty is admirable.— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) October 01, 2012
@chucktodd #MartinBashir took seriously Ms Romney's admirable honesty by sharing her concerns for Mitt's Mental Well-Being if he's elected.— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) October 01, 2012
Bob, here’s the link to the clip from today: http://video.msnbc.msn.com/martin-bashir/49247391/#49247319
How exactly do they excuse his behavior (and his wife’s concern about his mental well-being) by saying ti’s because he’s doing something different than business. Do they realize he’s running to be President of the United States – that’s a whole lot different than business. What will happen then? If he can’t handle campaigning, how will he handle governing?
The whole point of challenging someone is because you’re supposed to be representing the idea that you would be better at the job than they are. If Romney is stressed over campaigning, then how will he be better than President Obama at campaigning? Romney was a governor. did he not have to run a campaign to become governor? Did he not run a failed campaign to become a senator? Has he not been practicing his campaign for ten years?
President Obama, on the other hand, was not a governor, and yet he handled his national campaign beautifully, and has been an exemplary President. He’s currently campaigning while running the world – do they think he’s not stressed?
These media types make me sick. they are so blatantly covering for Romney – this comment should have been on the cover of every newspaper – and instead, the only three people I’ve heard mention anything on it is Bob, Martin Bashir and Randi Rhodes this afternoon. It’s a disgrace.
Why does Rev. Al keep having megan mccain on his show? She has done nothing except be the daughter of john mccain. There are so many more accomplished people who have actually WORKED in journalism and politics who deserve to have their voices heard. Just because she is wealthy and was given a blog doesn’t give her credibility. Shame on Rev. Al.
She is an employee of NBC and they use her as a political analyst on MSNBC and elsewhere on their broadcasts. Drop a line to Chuck Todd, he’s the boss of the news department. Let him know how you feel. Rev Al has nothing to be ashamed of. He lets her expose herself for the imbecile she is. Then again, most repubs expose themselves that way. It could be worse you know. That might have been Pistol Pay’em you just watched.
THIS! I love Rev Al but this is where I have to mute his show until the Megan segement is over. Unfortunately, I missed what Richard Wolfe had to say.
Exactly I am sure if Rev. Al let it be known that he did not want her on his show, they would not force the issue.
I need to send Rev. Al a email and ask him what the hell do he keep having that air head Megan McCain on his show? I might have to STOP watching Rev. Al.
She (Megan McCain), I can’t stand her. And I do mean I can’t stand the witch. I wanted to say something else, but I thought I would keep it clean.
@TheRevAl Megan McCain brings NOTHING to the table except her useless GOP DNA. I click the remote everytime she's on your show. Stop please!— Dudette (@Dudette9t9) October 01, 2012

Bill Clinton hits Chicago Oct. 23 for Obama fund-raiser

WASHINGTON–Former President Bill Clinton hits Chicago on Oct. 23 for a $10,000-per-person fund-raiser to benefit the Obama re-election campaign. The lunch is at Gibson’s Bar & Steakhouse. While many high end Chicago donors are tapped out–First Lady Michelle Obama was in Chicago last week for two mega-donor events–Bill Clinton appeals to a segment of Chicago area major Democratic donors–read that folks who backed Hillary Rodham Clinton for president in 2008–who will write big checks to hang out with Bill.
WASHINGTON–President Barack Obama set up debate camp at a Westin resort hotel in the Las Vegas suburb of Henderson, a pocket of Nevada his campaign gauges can yield more Democratic votes by his presence there for a few days before the Denver debate on Wednesday.
The Romney campaign, in a counter move, is sending Ann Romney to Henderson on Monday afternoon for a rally at the Henderson Convention Center.
Meanwhile, Vice Presidential nominee Paul Ryan stumps in Iowa while Mitt Romney on Monday arrives in Denver where he headlines a rally Monday night, taking a break from debate prep.
So, what’s Joe Biden schedule?
Caroline, thank you for sharing the news about Jim. I envy you being able to just drop that bit of info into a conversation. I am counting the hours until this debate starts. I have seen Michelle talk about her nerves before the President gives big speeches. I bet she is on pins and needles. Our guy will be wonderful and the reason is that he speaks from a place of honesty. His goals for this country are for the good of this country. He speaks with goodness in his heart. I love him!

Michele Bachmann’s Seat in Peril As House Race Tightens
By GREGORY J. KRIEG
Sept. 26, 2012
Less than a year ago, Rep. Michele Bachmann was traveling the country, making her case to be the Republican Party’s presidential nominee. Today, six weeks out from that long-awaited election, she’s caught in an unexpectedly tight race to keep her seat in Congress.
Bachmann’s challenger, Minnesota hotel magnate Jim Graves, 58, entered the fray in early April, quickly rallying state Democrats to his side and, perhaps more importantly, convincing Independence Party leaders and candidates to stay out of the mix, putting as much as 10 percent of the electorate — more than Bachmann’s margin of victory in two of her three races — back up for grabs.
“This district has the most independents in the state,” Graves told ABC News. “So we went to the Independence Party and asked, ‘Can you guys help us out a little bit?’ Well they said, ‘We like you, Graves, we’ll support you.’”
Though he hasn’t received an official endorsement from Minnesota’s largest “third party,” their decision to stand down, which Independence Party leader Mark Jenkins insists was made before Graves joined the race, has allowed the Democrat to focus exclusively on the Bachmann campaign.
“The primary exposed her DNA,” Graves said. “She doesn’t grasp the big picture and, in deference to her, she’s never been in business. She goes after the bank bailouts, but is against Dodd-Frank and any new regulations.”
He also believes Bachmann’s divisive national political figure has complicated her standing in Minnesota’s 6th district, which sits on top of the Twin Cities metro region like a crown. A recent poll commissioned by the Democrat shows Bachmann with a two-point lead (48-46 percent), within the margin of error. [more in the article]

Heads up: Warren v Brown debate
I can’t believe that David Gregory begins the debate by first attacking Warren’s Native American ancestry … UNBELIEVABLE.
He’s a jackass!
Gregory is worst then a jackass.
Is there really a chance to get rid of Bachmann, Allan West, Joe Walsh.? Really.
If that happens, anniebella, it would be a very delicious “trifecta.”
