Thanks Chips for posting the entire debate! Now I don’t have to wait for a C-Span replay! I am so grateful for the wonderful work you do for many of us who support President Obama. Joy – I just saw your comment. First Wolf said the poll was skewed with Republicans (because I think CNN got in trouble last time, when they failed to mention that). Then he called Obama 46% – Romney 39% a “draw.”
PBO was strong, detail oriented and direct. He answered questions forcefully and honestly without any hesitation. He stood up for himself without appearing to be a bully or whining. Very, very strong FINISH where he stood up for the middle class with PASSION and force. BRAVO.
Also, Meta, he never, ever whined. He didn’t review every little petty lie R-money was spewing. He illustrated a few and then did not waste valuable time on it. Never, ever underestimate President Obama (which I know you never do )
I was so nervous at first but when our wonderful President started speaking I calmed down and glad I saw it live. I was jumping up and cheering him as he was taking Mittens to the woodshed. A night to remember. Also early voting begins here in Tenn. tomorrow. Will be one of the first in line. Goodnite family and thanks Chips for everything. I remember coming here when this site had barely under 1mil and now over 14mil. I think I have clicked on at least a great deal of them Morning Noon and Night Congrats and bless you.
Hello from TN. I can’t vote tomorrow since it’s my day to go see my mom. I WILL be there Thursday morning, then work in the Obama offices that afternoon. Good day, huh?
I loved that he mentioned Robme standing in front of that plant saying it kiils right before shutting it down. The look on Robme’s face in the background? Priceless!
I took back what I said about Crowley on twitter. Actually tweeted her. I was worried about her the most and not worried about Jim Lehrer at all. Look how that turned out. She surprised me. Still not watching her show though. Will not break by cable news diet for anyone.
Yup – Crowley and her pandering was my biggest concern of the night. I won’t take back my prior criticism of her, but I will say that she did a fantastic job with the moderating. Both women have done a good job. Let’s see what happens with Scheiffer.
Is it to early to start thinking about our 2nd annual Halloween Party?? I was Tweety last year…I know it’ll be hard to give him up…but I think that someone else should have the honor this year:) Who made the assignments last year??
Trust you to remember that party, Df – you party animal, you! It was painful enough to be McConnell last year, please don’t ask it of me again. Maybe, IF we decide to party again we could be media types AND Democrats and leave out the repubs? That way we could tell some of the media what we think of their wacky reporting (IN A NICE WAY, of course), as well as highlight some good Dems.

*runs in screaming* YYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
I just came from the most fun debate party ever and we hooped and hollered and booed and cheered and clapped and jeered and stomped and LOVED OUR PRESIDENT!
I can’t wait to go back and read all your comments from tonight, but let me tell you, there was nothing like the live energy of Obama supporters witnessing one of the epic debate smackdowns of all time. I don’t know and I don’t CARE what the talking heads say. I know what my eyes saw and what my ears heard — and they tell me that My President is getting FOUR MORE YEARS!
Your night sounds fantastic! I was texting with friends, on the phone with family in Canada, on twitter and on TOD – “watching” the debate via multi-tasking.
Wow! just Wow!
Every fiber in my body is alive and well.
Every time he answered a question, I felt the answer coming. It can’t be just me….I felt he answered with his heart and soul.
He truly cares and the truth came out bold, courageous and proud.
I AM THE PRESIDENT!

You and me both LLO. I’m actually enjoy this perverse pleasure I’m getting from this picture. Hope it’s true or it would be such a waste of my happiness quotient
Watching CNN, Candy Crowley is covering her GOP butt and trying to explain why she called out the Libya terror issue. Saying that she said that it was just an unfortunate choice of words for Romney, and that the administration really had been trying to sell the story that the video was at fault. She said that that the undecideds in the hall seemed to think that they both won.
CNN is also releasing their snap poll.
46% PBO – 39% Romney…..pftttt
Maybe these people like CNN is going to tell the truth behind close doors like Mitt Romney spoke how he truly felt about the middle class and poor behind close doors. CNN will admit behind closed doors that President Obama kicked Mitt Romney lying ass. It was not even close. But CNN can’t admit that in public.
I always believe these people in these snap polls have either already made up their minds, or LIED to get into the audience. There is NO WAY somebody with an ounce of intelligence could have watched that debate and think that Romney won. No Way.
The only reason Crawlee corrected Mitt was because she had no choice, “Candy, read the transcript” and it was a larger audience including worldwide. She still has no credibility with me tho she did her job tonite, unlike other many times.

Wish I could read all debate comments but I’ve got to get to bed.
I confess I was nervous, there was so much riding on this debate. Afterwards I cried with relief. But I never should have doubted our President.
first debate – Romney really didn’t make any mistakes (except telling all those lies). Tonight his biggest mistake was on Libya, and boy did our President sound tough and wonderful. Told Romney it was “offensive” that he would suggest that people in his admin would play politics with the Libya tragedy – “That’s not what we do” – that was brilliant and it was pure Barack.
Watched PBS afterwards and was astonished no one mentioned the Libya section. To me it was most important and pivotal.
Michael Beschloss, presidential historian, said something interesting – when incumbent Reagan debated Mondale, the first debate Reagan was kind of listless and afterwards the polls showed them almost even. Second debate he came back strong. Didn’t Mondale carry something like 2 states in the end????
I feel great and can’t wait to get back to the campaign tomorrow.
Elly, I thought the “Offensive” comment and giving credit for his team too was the most powerful of the night. His strength of conviction and strong voice in that moment standing up to Mitt was a true CIC moment.

I CAN’T TELL YOU HOW HAPPY I AM OF MY PRESIDENT!!! When he wants to turn up the heat, YOU HAVE NO CHANCE AGAINST HIM!!! Robot witnessed that and died a slow death.
When I look at this pic, above all, I see hatred, and I believe it’s directed at PBO. Her face says to me, “Just who in the hell does he think he is?” Her nostrils appear to be flared, there appears to be a look of disdain on her face, there’s lots of tension there, and her eyes look as if she’s ready to kill someone. I’m not an expert, but I am pretty good at reading folks’ faces, and Ms. Ann’s face shows more hatred and disdain than it does anger. She, like Romney, didn’t see the exposure of him as a liar on national TV coming.
Let me remind you that the next debate is about foreign policy:)
I was thinking, because now my brain won’t stop…that some were so disappointed in PBO’s first debate…maybe that was HIS ruse:) Making Mitt think that he had this, that he actually could get up and debate the POTUS and win a debate…get overconfident…..then BLAM! Shut The Barn Door!
I just thought he was giving him enough rope to hang himself. Those smiles and relaxed body language were there for a reason. PBO is always about the long game.
I’m with you derbingle. That was my thought when PO allowed easily BS position from Romney to pass that he chose to let Willard take the rope and wrap himself in it.
After tonight, I would not be surprise if Anne Romney votes for our President and the all the boys join the Armed Services.
Since he is so concerned about starting another war. VP Joe Biden said it right, JUST SAY SO! And in saying so, sign your boys up, first before you ship them off to France or Canada to work on the “pipeline”.
I am so sick of these Repugs warmongers sending the 47% off to fight their money making wars!
Once again that fool Mitt did not mention our veterans and their struggles…..Our President did and always will….because he cares.
Obamacares!

I was seething at the binders full of women section of the debate. Did you all hear the sexism apparent in Romney’s comments? Romney wants to make sure women get home from work in time to make dinner -and- he wants employers to be so desperate to hire workers that they’ll EVEN hire women. Did anyone else notice those two glimpses into the true sexist that Romney is?
What actually happened was that in 2002 — prior to the election, not even knowing yet whether it would be a Republican or Democratic administration — a bipartisan group of women in Massachusetts formed MassGAP to address the problem of few women in senior leadership positions in state government. There were more than 40 organizations involved with the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus (also bipartisan) as the lead sponsor.
They did the research and put together the binder full of women qualified for all the different cabinet positions, agency heads, and authorities and commissions. They presented this binder to Governor Romney when he was elected.”
I think my 3 favorite words right now are, “Please proceed Governor” followed by the Death Ray stare PBO gave Mittens while Mittens was trying to act arrogant like HE was the one catching PBO in a lie about what was said in the Rose Garden the day after the attacks at the consulate.
On MSNBC, didn’t the McCain guy look piss off. He look mad, he did his best to stick up for Mitt, but he knows deep down, President Obama kick Mitt Romney’s lying behind.
This night just got better for me!
Just found out that Bristol Palin got bumped off Dancing with the Stars tonight:) hahaha
Sick of seeing her the Twit mother and the 1st dude in the audience. Good riddance.
I was so busy with the debate and post debate talk that I have not gotten to the DWTS tivoed show. OH! Just noticed since I am on the W Coast I would not have known Bristol was voted off yet anyway. I am glad though as I was sick of her hanging on when it was obvious she was the worse dancer.
There is no doubt that PBO won this debate. But then again I felt he won the first debate. I think too many people look at these pundits and don’t actually look at the facts.
Joy, at last I am not alone! I watched the replay debate on C-Span, and to this day I still don’t understand why any one thinks Romney won that debate. It’s true the President was calm and less animated but he still had the command of facts. Mitt Romney lied throughout the entire debate. It was almost impossible to know where to start debunking his lies.

That’s what I’ve been saying all over the net for Four years. NEVER, EVER underestimate this President.
Exactly, Virginia, exactly!
#FORWARD
My stomach was upset the entire debate as I feel like family. I cannot imagine how hard it is for Michelle to watch the debates live!
I loved that he mentioned Robme standing in front of that plant saying it kiils right before shutting it down. The look on Robme’s face in the background? Priceless!
LOLz!!
What was he doing? Interrupting?
Yes, for the umpteenth time.
Ah, no….I think he was asking Queen Anne if she brought extra magic underwear.
Did you see how quickly they made it to the exit curtains?
Ugh! That reminds me of John McCain’s tongue-out zombie walk at a debate four years ago.
hahahaha I missed this in real time. Glad to see it now. Pretty much sums up this debate in 1 picture
Scheiffer — UGH! UGH! He is SHOCKED, SHOCKED I say, every time someone accuses Romney of lying.
Scheiffer is going to be a problem.
Well Done Mr President. you certainly have our backs.
This tweet has 7,590 retweets and 2,300 favs -awesome sauce
That’s gotta be some crazy record. I didn’t even know something can be retweeted so many times without breaking
CBS- 56-43 Obama!
I thought it was in the 60s…
I am so happy so proud of the President! Thanks Chips for all that you do!
When he uttered and implied that crap my mouth dropped open in disbelief.
I had faith in our President, I knew he would step up to the plate. He didn’t just hit a single, or double, he hit a Grand Slam tonight.
A Grand Slam !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess mitt the twit will not pay any attention when he is called out by Candy, the moderator.
I was not nervous tonight. I knew PBO would bring it and Romney would have nowhere to go!!! Woooohooooo so excited!
45 mins into the debate, I was running around like Freddie Mercury singing ‘We are the champions’. Happy night, time to get the credit card out! Lol!
Pick me! Pick me! :https://donate.barackobama.com/page/outreach/view/2012/Pamela
Just did
LOL.
I didn’t watch the debate. I knew he would do better though. Pres.Obama learns pretty quickly and is very competitive. He does not like to lose.
when you get a chance, watch gobrooklyn. PO kicked some serious ass.
It’s called PBO opened a can of whup azz!
I followed it on Twitter. Couldn’t stomach Romney.
Please tell us how you really feel amk.
what ? I love wimmin.
It’s obvious to the most casual observer…..:-D
egg.sack.lee.
Chips, please don’t miss this epic photo ….
It was marvelous, theo!
Wow! just Wow!
Every fiber in my body is alive and well.
Every time he answered a question, I felt the answer coming. It can’t be just me….I felt he answered with his heart and soul.
He truly cares and the truth came out bold, courageous and proud.
I AM THE PRESIDENT!
Thank you God for hearing our prayers.
Ever since the President said “I’ve got this”, a sense of calm came over me.
Our President was wonderful!! I am so proud of him. I have this big smile on my face that I can’t get rid of.
He looked so handsome tonight also.
Chips, you know you are wrong for making me laugh this hard.
Tee Hee!
Dems are funny and, I might add, quick
Oh my stomach hurts from laughing at that one! Chips!!! Hahahahahahaha!
Chipsticks, you owe me a monitor! Mine is all covered with red wine!
LOL! Little Nate is not too happy.
He wasn’t saying anything when the rethugs, heck the ROMNEY campaign was tweeting online polls. Whatever.
Exactly.
Something has happened to this guy! Is he being paid by Romney or the Koch brothers?
Awww…..wheedle Nate has a sad. He didn’t say this crap during the first debate.
That’s right UT.
Oh no, they even had their beads out praying. I swear, I don’t understand these people. But this is coming from an atheist that i am. Baptized Catholic when I was a young child. I guess I grew up from a young child and realized that its all bullshit.
bah ha ha ha ha !!!
If this is true, I don’t feel sorry for the unkind cackling I engaged in upon first glimpsing this photo!
You and me both LLO. I’m actually enjoy this perverse pleasure I’m getting from this picture. Hope it’s true or it would be such a waste of my happiness quotient
Please tell me this is a joke. And if not please tell me their condition would be covered under ObamaCares
Even Sully lives the President Tonight. imagine that?
Watching CNN, Candy Crowley is covering her GOP butt and trying to explain why she called out the Libya terror issue. Saying that she said that it was just an unfortunate choice of words for Romney, and that the administration really had been trying to sell the story that the video was at fault. She said that that the undecideds in the hall seemed to think that they both won.
CNN is also releasing their snap poll.
46% PBO – 39% Romney…..pftttt
Obama/Biden 2012
Maybe these people like CNN is going to tell the truth behind close doors like Mitt Romney spoke how he truly felt about the middle class and poor behind close doors. CNN will admit behind closed doors that President Obama kicked Mitt Romney lying ass. It was not even close. But CNN can’t admit that in public.
I always believe these people in these snap polls have either already made up their minds, or LIED to get into the audience. There is NO WAY somebody with an ounce of intelligence could have watched that debate and think that Romney won. No Way.
WTF? She’s a moderator! She has no business doing this. GAH.
The only reason Crawlee corrected Mitt was because she had no choice, “Candy, read the transcript” and it was a larger audience including worldwide. She still has no credibility with me tho she did her job tonite, unlike other many times.
Mitt you just woke a sleeping giant, and that giant name is Barack Obama. Never underestimate POTUS kindness for weakness. NEVER!!!!!!!
If I see somebody trying to take advantage, I will crush them. PBO
Wow! So old Southern White guys changed their mind this week? Heavy.
Mitt tore his behind by putting ‘women in a binder’. What was he thinking?
I’m still trying to figure out what kind of slang that was – never heard of “women in a binder”…
A Tumblr for Binders Full of Women — http://bindersfullofwomen.tumblr.com/
love it!
73% of CNN poll say the President did better.
Yes!!!
That was from the buzz feed.
Actual poll was 46-39.
I just can’t get over how President Obama hammered Romney on Libya and foreign policy. He was just so presidential. I so love this man.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
That’s not a nice photo of the mitt wife.
She’s probably looking after his mental state of mind and keeping it from exploding.
Chips you are baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad……..
BWAHAHAHAHAHA.
Paint is peeling
Oh boy is he going to get yelled at when they get to the car elevator.
The Queen Ann Death Stare of Doom!
ewww that’s just plain mean ChipsChica
This Witch is F*^KING UGLY!!!! INSIDE AND OUT!!!!
Not a nice picture – Miss Ann has never had to control her opinions of “you people” – why should she start now
When I look at this pic, above all, I see hatred, and I believe it’s directed at PBO.
Obamacares!
OMG, I love these guys!!
trying to go to bed but enjoying all these tweets etc way too much to stop now.
That damn Chuck Todd is on MSNBC right now trying to downplay the President’s win. He makes me sick!
Forget Chuck Todd.
This. He like the rest of the cable news media is on the train to irrelevancy.
I said, Nov 7, their ratings will be in the toilet, Chuckie, Rachel, Ed,that morning guy.
Fuck Chuck Todd. No one gives a damn about what that asshole thinks.
Yes forget Chuck Todd…he think he is somebody…he is no Tim Russet (sp?). Poor little fellow…bless his heart.
And then there’s that pos Chuck Todd.
That is some big rightful love right there.
I imagine FLOTUS is whispering in those lovely big ears, proud of you honey. Love you too. Would it be wrong if I say the same thing.
It would be right, and true, anniebella!
Love that picture of POTUS and FLOTUS.
CNN can’t deny Pres. Obama’s win.
Talk about reality kicking your teeth even if you hide behind R’s.
And guess what? As with everything else that comes out of Romney’s mouth, the whole binder story was a lie!
http://blog.thephoenix.com/BLOGS/talkingpolitics/archive/2012/10/16/mind-the-binder.aspx
“Not a true story.
Gag me with a spoon!
I just donated 35$ to the Obama campaign. Who’s gonna match me?
Matching donations gratefully accepted here: https://donate.barackobama.com/page/outreach/view/2012/Pamela
I think my 3 favorite words right now are, “Please proceed Governor” followed by the Death Ray stare PBO gave Mittens while Mittens was trying to act arrogant like HE was the one catching PBO in a lie about what was said in the Rose Garden the day after the attacks at the consulate.
I could see he was clearly pissed off at the bot’s traitorous ways.
New post everyone:
http://theobamadiary.com/2012/10/17/proud/
On MSNBC, didn’t the McCain guy look piss off. He look mad, he did his best to stick up for Mitt, but he knows deep down, President Obama kick Mitt Romney’s lying behind.
Just a quick side note…..
This night just got better for me!
Just found out that Bristol Palin got bumped off Dancing with the Stars tonight:) hahaha
Sick of seeing her the Twit mother and the 1st dude in the audience. Good riddance.
Obama/Biden 2012
Yes – lying should be an immediate disqualifier.
I expected one of msnbc’s undecided voters to ask “Which one of them was Mitt Romney?”
Holy shit they’re idiots.
Now THAT is funny. You need to tweet that lol.
