Rachel put her in check by stating that Sen. Obama had been a member of the Senate Cmte on Foreign Relations, and that he chose as his #2 the chairman of the SFR Cmte. BAM!!! Wallace then pivoted and said that Romney should have criticized the president on how he is “managing” the war in Afghanistan. Rachel was wonderful. And, I voted early today in GA, and the line was very long.

Methinks Trump hasn’t gotten laid in quite some time.
This can’t be the big surprise. It would be too dumb. It’s so well-known that the odious Jody Kantor wrote about it in her awful book. The man can’t be this dumb…
I’d bet money that the announcement has something to do with drug use because Trump is a major racist and he would want to bring this up again… This is also territory that has been amply covered by the President himself. Regardless it is likely to be a nothingburger….
On DU, TRUMPDUSKY’s alleged blockbuster is PBO used coke in college which PBO wrote about in one of his books. Trumpdusky has expanded on this to now allege PBO also sold coke. Never forget when the righties do this kind of shit, PBO is always, always playing the long game.
He claims his source is a “well respected financial pundit” who has the divorce papers. And even if that were true – it is WELL known that the Obamas had contemplated divorcing at one point in their marriage. This is nothing new or particularly surprising. And seriously, as you commented earlier – which married couple has NOT contemplated divorce when going thru a rough patch in the marriage?!?!? Trump of all people should know – he actually went through divorce more than once! LOL!
There have been interview articles in magazines where Michelle Obama has said there was a very rough patch in their marriage about the time of Barack Obama’s IL State Congress defeat. She sounded like they were near divorce so no big news there. Most marriages go through some tough times.
I’d be amazed if this was it Hopefruit, even that dick must surely know he’d be laughed out of town?? I’m still assuming it’s something along the lines of ‘We have proof PBO was born in, uh, Belgium!”
Worse, UT, a country that has flippin’ French – French! – as one of its languages …. this is getting uglier and uglier. If this place turns in to The Willard Diary tomorrow I’m sure you’ll understand.
Barack & Michelle have always said that at one time they went through a difficult period. The rest of the story is nobody’s business especially that buffoon Donald Trump.
This is a distraction folks. He wants to change the subject from Romney’s disastrous debate last night. These GOP operatives always use the same playbook. They attack the president from all fronts. Sometimes they use unknown congressmen in safe red districts to attack the president and the Media latches on to it and make it a national topic i.e addressing the children in the school year. Or they use retired Republicans to attack the president on foolish stuff ie job numbers to dampen the good new of the economic recovery. Or they use crazy elected popular politicians like Bachman to distract with lies and conspiracy theories. They send their missiles one after the other creating noise and confusion that the uninformed is not sure of what the president has done to help them. With the help of their Media operatives they have successfully tainted the accomplishments of this president creating doubt in the electorate. We cannot repeat their talking points this just spreads the poison far and wide. Whenever there is good news for the president they send their minnions out to blur reality.
Donald trump the birther is the son of a foreigner, his mother was scottish. All his wives are foreign born except Marla Maples.
y’all this is old news. Trumpdusky needs to move on. I guess I need to explain the purpose of an October surprise to Trumpdusky. The purpose of an October surprise is to either gross us out or make us spend more time googling the surprise than porn. This old news won’t even rise to a blip on the screen. However, I do expect Gloria Allred who also has an October surprise about mittnocchio to bring it. Am I the only one wondering what happened after mittnocchio dressed up in a state trooper’s uniform, put a red light on his white rambler and drove around flashing his red light and stopping mostly females?
So, the fact that the Obamas didn’t divorce, like Donald Trump did, is supposed to be a major scandal? What’s wrong with a media that pay attention to this idiot?
These right wing loons don’t even spare a thought to the two young children who live in the White House, who don’t deserve their parents marriage being dragged into the gutter with Trump and his sidekicks. For heaven’s sake, the Obama’s are celebrating their 20th year of marriage, and they had to spend their anniversary with the rest of us! These right wingers have no shame. And the media better not pick up this pathetic story.
It’s the thing that disgusts me the most. They don’t give any regard to the Obama kids. They don’t care about the example they’re giving to the next generation of kids in this country on any matter – health, integrity, patriotism, cooperation, honesty. They never grew up.
Hell, Hubby and I fought so much prior to getting married that folks were surprised that we went through with the wedding! Why would Trumpet think anyone would care about the Obama’s contemplating a divorce?

How do I say this, I’m dissapointed in this crowd in Ohio…they just aren’t as fired up as other cities in Ohio. WTF is wrong with these folks, it seems they don’t get it.
So you ARE serious. No offense, but unless you are actually at the rally and speaking to people there, I don’t think you are in a position to assess how “fired up” people are or aren’t based on a group of people captured in a single camera angle. Nor are you in a position to assess whether or not people “were getting his message fully.”
There were about 10K people at that rally – how many of them did you actually see or speak to for the entire duration of the rally?
Well, you certainly got me on this hopefruit! I wasn’t in a situation to talk to anyone at this rally, I live in Canada. On that, I’m not going to argue with you, obviously you know your shit and I am an outsider. I will bow before you the almighty hopefruit
Joy, with all due respect, Chips has asked us not to make these kind hand-wringing posts thru the end of the election. It is deflating from the job at hand and we have to stay FIRED UP to make sure that the President is re-elected.
LOL! Didn’t realize you hailed all the way from Canada. Glad to see that you support our president! Sorry for the abrasive response – that’s just me being extra protective of anything remotely associated with PBO – even the crowds at his rallies!!
But please don’t bow to insignificant me, bow to our great President!
It looked like a lot of people were listening intently, but also remember that the angle of the shot makes a big difference, and the degree to which they turn the sound up makes a difference, too. I have to imagine that the people who spent their whole day standing in line and waiting for the President are pretty fired up. Go back and listen to the section where the President was talking about whether any of the people are undecided in the audience, and they were very enthusiastic about knowing exactly who they’re voting for. A lot of them were also enthusiastic about going and voting right after the event. Don’t fret.
We must have been watching a different rally because from the women behind him throwing kisses to all the folk interrupting with cheers and laughter it seemed like a very enthusiastic and happy crowd.

Wow! My Republican husband went from NOT voting to voting for PBO!! Watching the congress try to vote away our college tax credit for our daughter 6 weeks ago was the turning point. He watched the debate last night and was confused about everything Romney was saying. He then came in from work and asked me to name one thing I liked about Mitt Romney, besides a good family I could not name one. He was asking some of his friends what they liked about Romney and they couldn’t answer his question. He is ordering his mail in ballot as we speak.
All the power to you! I’ve educated my smart husband on a few things and he always comes around and agrees with me in the end while I school him on facts of the Obama administration. This is going to be an election like never before when it comes down to women.
This is excellent news, Proud – and your husband won’t regret his vote. Just imagine the wonderful progress that this country will make over the next four years under President Obama and a decent Congress. Please make sure your husband votes all Dems down the ballot – it will be the difference between what President Obama can do with a divided Congress (ad we’ve seen that he doesn’t let that stop him) and what he can do with a Congress that wants to work – we saw that in the first two years, when the Stimulus, health care reform, financial reform and investments in the country were all made. Please remind your husband about the filibusters, and the need to get good people in the Supreme Court.
And with the President’s new addition to his stump speech about “trust” and “trustworthiness”, people will soon be questioning why there were ever thinking of supporting a shape-shifter like Romney in the first place…
I really think yesterday’s debate changed a lot of minds. I was saying earlier about how I watched the debate with some republican friends of mine(5 people). When the debate finished, I was content (actually ecstatic) with PBO’s performance and you could see it in my face. I slyly threw out a shot to see what they thought of the debate and many started grumbling about not understanding what Romney was for or why they should vote for him instead of the PBO.
I responded, well then don’t vote for him, vote for the guy he seems to agree with. That raised a ruckus and we all got into an argument. Long story short, we argued till 12 midnight and the one sticking point they had was Obamacare. However, making calls and trying to convince strangers through OFA had me more than prepared for this. I was able to point out that the current system of health care does not work and when everyone agreed on that. I then said so since it does not work what are your plans to fix it? They did not have much. I pointed out that health care is a very complicated problem and many presidents have already failed to address it, if we punish the only one that started the ball moving on reforming the system how many other president do we expect to tackle it in the future?
I asked if they wanted people who were trying to solve difficult problems and squared with folks on how to approach it or if they wanted someone who tells them only what they want to hear and only to gain their votes. If the latter was the choice then they should be pleased with Romney’s performance tonight. That pretty much disabused them of the notion that Romney was a serious candidate and 2 of the female republicans are now lean Obama and another guy who was lean Romney is now for Obama.
It’s kinda funny cause all this time I have spent watching the debates with my democratic friends, thinking it would be awkward to spend it with my republican friends, but I’m glad I decided for a change yesterday.
I also noticed that of the undecideds on CNN more than half went for Obama after the debates with the rest still undecided. So no Romney converts!
What is an uncommitted voter? It's sounds like someone who would drive to the polls and turn around before they get there.— Albert Brooks (@AlbertBrooks) October 17, 2012
An uncommitted voter suffers from trying to be on stage and ignoring the facts of this election. if they actually educated themselves they might see something. These undecideds are playing around with this campaign. They have great fun in
Ya know, I just NEVER get tired of watching PBO working the rope line. He is so attentive to everyone and they love him. I only listen with half an ear to his speeches at this point but can never resist watching the rope line at the end.
An interesting note. Managed to get voting in yesterday, the first day of early voting here in TX. The place I voted was NOT busy which is good news given I live in a red city. Romney does not have the visible support here that McCain had in 2008. Far fewer yard signs and nearly as many Obama bumper stickers as Romney stickers which is quite amazing. I have no doubt the Repubs here will turn out eventually but there sure doesn’t seem to be the enthusiasm that I’ve seen in either the 2004 or 2008 elections. I am not working the ground game here this time (spending my time calling into swing states) so I don’t have as good of a feel for things as in the past but it is noticeably different.
Thank you Foxfire. Those are interesting observations, especially the number of bumper stickers supporting PBO. My first 22 years were spent in TX. I remember the ‘bumper sticker wars’ quite well – way more so than yard signs being an indicator. And, since you mention ‘red city’ it is amazing you are seeing any for PBO
I went the opposite route Bob. Spent my first 40+ years in the upper Midewest before moving to TX for family reasons. Even after 13 years, it is STILL a shock to my system at times:-) ‘Fraid I will never consider myself a Texan. My neighborhood is somewhat mixed and we have one of the few Dem Senators in the state Senate although she is facing a pretty serious challenge this time out. I’m hoping we still have enough Dem support for her to keep her there.
When I drive through my area and other neighborhoods close by, there a no Romney/Ryan signs. I see a lot of local and state rep yard signs all over and I live in South Carolina. They will still vote Republican for President but they are not proud to do so this time. Last elections I saw a lot of Mcain/Palin yard signs and bum[er stickers.
My husband and I just returned from taking our dogs for a walk around the neighborhood. We noticed there are NO Romney signs, and four years ago there were numerous McCain signs. There are also no Obama signs, but that is not a surprise in our neighborhood. Obama yard signs are hard to get in this city this year. Four years ago, they were easier to get. We don’t even have a sign up, and that’s terrible, I know. There are several other Obama supporters in the neighborhood that we know of, but the surprise was that there were no Romney signs. This is a red state…..the only one four years ago in which the President did not win even one county. So, I’d say that Romney’s support is soft. I have a feeling that some Republicans just won’t vote for President. They’ll vote down the ticket, but they truly don’t like Romney.
aghh, not getting much work done today. Phone calls tonight! Good news below.

And the National Scholastic Magazine poll is also accurate since 1960. PBO won handily. And the 7/11 poll has a resounding victory for the Prez.
Romnesia!
Pot meet kettle!
Both Ann and Michelle are repulsive and nasty people. I could care less about what either has to say about anything.
Me too. I just find it amusing that 2 hens in the same coop are squawking at each other.
LOL! So Donald Trump’s “big announcement” is that PBO and FLOTUS once contemplated divorce. HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Oh, my effing God.
Okay, women: haven’t we all at some point in time?
A HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! OMG!!!! How many times has someone actually DIVORCED his sorry ass???!!!!
Are you serious?
Yes that’s his “game changing” announcement. Even David Corn is like….that’s IT???…
Methinks Trump hasn’t gotten laid in quite some time.
His sources must be the same as Howard Fineman’s well-placed Democratic sources who tell him RW talking points to spew on msnbc.
This is more than a joke………
This can’t be the big surprise. It would be too dumb. It’s so well-known that the odious Jody Kantor wrote about it in her awful book. The man can’t be this dumb…
I’d bet money that the announcement has something to do with drug use because Trump is a major racist and he would want to bring this up again… This is also territory that has been amply covered by the President himself. Regardless it is likely to be a nothingburger….
Actually there’s some warmed up story about drug use. They tried this in 2007, 2008……..
Ridiculous. Utterly, totally ridiculous.
LOL!
I’ll take the Obamas’ real marriage over some Stepford marriage any day.
This is what they’re going to talk about between now and election day? Even Fox isn’t that stupid.
TRUMPDUSKY has been married three times. I’m still trying to figure out how he got anyone to marry him. He’s so gross.
$$$$$$$ and a workable pre-nup
There have been interview articles in magazines where Michelle Obama has said there was a very rough patch in their marriage about the time of Barack Obama’s IL State Congress defeat. She sounded like they were near divorce so no big news there. Most marriages go through some tough times.
I’d be amazed if this was it Hopefruit, even that dick must surely know he’d be laughed out of town?? I’m still assuming it’s something along the lines of ‘We have proof PBO was born in, uh, Belgium!”
WHAT?!?!?! He was born in a European country? He’s a sochulist I tells ya! SOCHULIST!!!!
Worse, UT, a country that has flippin’ French – French! – as one of its languages …. this is getting uglier and uglier. If this place turns in to The Willard Diary tomorrow I’m sure you’ll understand.
Errr ah. Haven’t we spent enough key strokes on ‘rug head’?
Barack & Michelle have always said that at one time they went through a difficult period. The rest of the story is nobody’s business especially that buffoon Donald Trump.
And I would like to add that Mr. & Mrs. Obama are a fabulous couple!!! Trump is garbage!
Bingo. Eyes on the ball, people.
That was pretty much the first 3 years of me and and my spousal unit’s relationship. And, I’m sorry, but Donald is hardly one to talk about divorce.
Amen LL!
y’all this is old news.
Great point, Theo about the children. Isn’t it amazing that these right wingers claim to be values voters?
It’s the thing that disgusts me the most. They don’t give any regard to the Obama kids. They don’t care about the example they’re giving to the next generation of kids in this country on any matter – health, integrity, patriotism, cooperation, honesty. They never grew up.
Hell, Hubby and I fought so much prior to getting married that folks were surprised that we went through with the wedding! Why would Trumpet think anyone would care about the Obama’s contemplating a divorce?
Actually, I don’t believe he’s THAT stupid.
k you guys! I’m leaving work to go make calls!!!! #LET’SWINTHISTHING w00t! #GOGOPBO
latah
SAME here! FiRED UP AND READY to GO!!!
Me three!!!
OFA here I come…….
Me 4 – fired up & ready to go
How do I say this, I’m dissapointed in this crowd in Ohio…they just aren’t as fired up as other cities in Ohio. WTF is wrong with these folks, it seems they don’t get it.
You’re being funny/snarky right? I thought so!
I guess I am
Just thought PBO’s last minute didnt fire up the crowd like I am use to seeing. Felt the people weren’t getting his message fully.
Don’t fret.
Only 12,000 people! In 2008 it was 12,004 people. Doomed!!!!!!
We must have been watching a different rally because from the women behind him throwing kisses to all the folk interrupting with cheers and laughter it seemed like a very enthusiastic and happy crowd.
I’m with you Bob, I thought the place was rocking! Loved it – PBO was on fiiiiiiiire today.
Albert Brooks is freaking hilarious.

The interview will air live on MTV, MTV2, mtvU, MTV Hits and MTV Jams, and online and on MTV’s mobile apps.
They’re serious.
This is good info to have! Thanks BOB.
RT’d!
Excellent info! Thanks for sharing.
I know no one can never even dream of trying to voter intimidate me!@#$*
LOL
Good to know!
Outstanding!!!
And, I don’t think he is the only person having an epiphany about how vapid and dangerous Willard and the GOP are.
#FORWARD
Yessssssssssssss! Thanks for sharing!
My friend isn’t happy with me. She just sprayed Coke all over her computer when I showed her the Olympics tweet. Sorry……….
lol I liked this one too:
An uncommited voter is somebody who may or may not vote.
An uncommitted voter suffers from trying to be on stage and ignoring the facts of this election. if they actually educated themselves they might see something. These undecideds are playing around with this campaign. They have great fun in
An uncommitted voter is a JOKE. An ignorant joke.
Has anyone already posted this great video?

Note that it’s animated by Lucas Gray (the Simpsons/Family).
#FORWARD
I went the opposite route Bob. Spent my first 40+ years in the upper Midewest before moving to TX for family reasons. Even after 13 years, it is STILL a shock to my system at times:-) ‘Fraid I will never consider myself a Texan. My neighborhood is somewhat mixed and we have one of the few Dem Senators in the state Senate although she is facing a pretty serious challenge this time out. I’m hoping we still have enough Dem support for her to keep her there.
Though born there, by the time I was old enough to realize where I was I just couldn’t wait for the day to depart, Foxfire
Let’s hope she prevails!!!
#FORWARD
Truth hurts for Romney. America, with Pres. Obama’s guidance is fact checking Romney.
Hmm. I get the feeling this is connected to the debate.

Hells yeah.
Maybe they don’t believe Latinos will come out in force this time around. I’ve heard the same about the African American and College vote.

Uh oh! Caught on film.
OMG that’s hysterical – cute!
New post everyone:
http://theobamadiary.com/2012/10/23/hey-love-is-all-around/
Chris Cilizza sounds like a dumbhead. ‘ Gee, there is something mysterous about voters in Ohio that makes them like Obama——I’m not sure about this—-but I think that maybe it could be that Obama saved the auto industry and their jobs and that the unemployment number is below the natl average” he said wide-eyed as if he was revealing some super secret brand new concept.
Geez.
Stupid is as stupid does, that is the US Media today. Sometimes I wonder if we have evolved into a modern society or going backwards into the dark ages again, where knowledge was lost and destroyed, and superstition and ignorance ruled.
Considering the competition from professional sports last night, I think these numbers show significant interest (of course if you don’t have cable you didn’t have much of a choice:)
Wasn’t there Monday Night Football in competition with the debate?
Oh yes. The chicago Bears and someone
Another MONSTER big occasion I missed today – we had our 500,000th comment. But I have absolutely no clue who posted it, otherwise I’d give them a bag of cheesy puffs.
