Hi Chips 1st?
#WeDecide #FORWARD… loving all the pics today!!
Congratulations, fellow Mid-Westerner….Roberta from MN.
Congrats on being 1st.
Thanks Neena are you close to MN?
Yes….I am.
We love our Midwesterners and any other state that wants to join us.
Way to go Roberta!!!!
Super photos, as always, Chips!!!
Thanks Bobfr. You have been on a roll, ((((((hugs))))).
Wow just got a call for a conference call with PBO. Exciting!
Yahoo snowbird42.
Love this man!
This
That crowd photo from the Denver Post takes.my.breath.away! Awesome photos. And some of the hugs just feel like they are coming through the computer screen right to me … it is like I can physically feel them.
Good Morning from my world and thank you Chips for your wonderful safe haven. From the carryon of the usual suspects it appears President Obama must have all the support – and more – for his next 4 years.
99: Do you mean Thursday morning in your world? Is it sunny? Warm? Rainy? May I lay out my shorts and bikini top? I want to know what to expect for MY Thursday morning so I’ll be prepared.
So lets see, POTUS has a problem with white maile voters, doesn’t look like it to me. Nice collage of pictures Chips. Just hangingout tonight, we are having rain, going from the 60′s today to the low 30′s tonight. Time to snuggle up on the couch with my Megan. Hope everyone at TOD had a great day today.
Romney holds historic lead among white voters.
http://www.tnr.com/blog/electionate/109035/romney-historic-lead-among-white-voters#
But I still have faith that President Obama will get enough White votes to win this thing.
Forward!
BS
I read that article. Those people should have checked the Time poll of Ohio and other states. I definitely think their info is fallacious, and they’re still harping on the “enthusiasm gap” That magazine is an emoprog publication, and spins everything.
I have come to think that the emoprogs and far left would rather have a Republican president and congress so they can spend their time complaining. They don’t want to WORK, which they should be doing with a Democratic president. And, also, many of these people are what used to be called “limousine liberals” rich, elite educated whites who talk the game, but put no skin in it. They wear me out.
Just to add a p.s. They should look at the crowds coming to see the President…..for instance the pictures from Davenport and Denver! They just stay in their glass towers in Manhattan and write what comes out of their hats.
Below the Mason Dixon line maybe….
Alabama is worth the same number of EC votes not matter how “hard” the sheet wearing crowd votes.
I am a 38 year old white male who already voted for President Obama here in AZ.
You are exactly right, lockewasright! If Whites were not voting for Obama, how come he is leading in the East, Midwest and West? By the way, If I am not mistaken, I think LBJ was the last Democratic candidate to win a majority of white voters. Bill Clinton was elected twice without having won the majority of white voters.
Most of them must be too lazy to go to a rally – R&R get such small crowds they refuse to show them on film – so most will also probably not bother voting. Just another make believe story from the media.
Not 9 in my family ; ^ )
4th & First!
Awww, Top 10 & First!
Congrats Roberta & Top 10!
Thanks xtine, I share well.
Love the pics, Chips! TY!
Just watched the first part of the Brian Williams interview and you could just tell that Pres. Obama was thinking, “Brian Williams, you are a dumb ass.”
Jusst can’t watch Brian Williams, he is an ass. Thanks for the update UT.
UT – one of the wonderful things about the President – he accepts everyone – regardless – even a dumb ass. I wish I had his charity.
Looking at those crowd pictures – the real America – not the older, whiter groups that Mitt Romney sees every minute of his day.
And the beauty of PBO’s crowd is that a lot of those happier, wiser, smarter, fairer, older, whiter group members snuck in to see him, and can’t wait for the chance to shake his hand! Mitt gets the dredge of that demographic and of society.
I’m one of those older whiter ones who would love to be there – I doubt I could stay upright if I was that close to PBO.
Me, too. I’d be one of the ones he talks about who “might faint.”
I do too. I am not feeling at all charitable about dumbass media people.
I saw it. President Obama had more patience than I could have mustered with Williams’ dumb, Romney campaign inspired, questions. Obama handled it all well, as always, but they were all accusatory. Just a waste of time. And then he asks about the nature of his relationship with Romney. Who cares? What does it matter? Idiotic. Did he want Obama to say he hates Romney’s guts? Just trying to make some kind of news, did not serve the public, an insult to his viewers.
Sounds like he wasted the President’s time with nonsense. Get Brian Williams off the bus/plane/car!
He’s speaking to us directly. Im a team leader.
Well done snowbird42 for being a team leader. You guys at OFA are doing an incredible job.
yay Snowbird!
On the phone now with tele-conference call with the President!
Sweet. Tell him we got his back.
Cool!!!
#TrustBarack !!!
TY Bob – spot on – as always
Too funny, but these people are just shameless.
bah ha ha LL
Sexi voice. That is all.
Sexi man. That is all.
Yup. Yup.
That was wonderful Probably as close as I m going to get. but he was real, thoughtful and it made me cry.
Somebody needs to tell Jake Tapper to check the early voting stats. From what I’ve seen in IA, NC and NV PBO supporters are UP in early voting from 2008! I think this whole thing with the media is hilarious. They have bitched for 4 years that they don’t have enough access with PBO. Do they think it would be better with Romney????? He won’t talk to them as a candidate, he sure as hell wouldn’t waste his time on them as president. Fortunately for us, they’ll never find that out.
Apparently, many people see right through Tapper’s BS, and it’s reflected accordingly…
Like Chuck Todd, Jake Tapper is piss that the President won’t give them an interview.
When they learn how to be real journalists, they can land an interview. I would not give them or Ed Henry the time of day if I was President.
I remember in 2009 when they were complaining that he was overexposed because he was doing a lot of press conferences.
And the men who love them.
Definitely!
Absolutely!
All this makes me giddy as our GOTV effort continues here. I loooooooove our ground game.
That’s one serious SS guy behind & between the kids w/ PBO in 1st 3 photos. By 3rd photo I almost see a smile teasing his mouth!
QUESTION???? been out all day so no time to go back and check…what time EST the Las Vegas rally tonight and will it be live streamed?…thanks
Hi Kathryn, the Las Vegas rally starts at 12:35am (ET) on C-Span
http://www.c-span.org/Campaign2012/Events/President-Obama-on-Two-Day-Campaign-Tour-of-Battleground-States/10737435259/
Oh My..I hope PBO is taking a nap right now, because there’s no way I could function at that time after a long day…
Thank you….hmmmmm….don’t have to work tomorrow…..it’s 8:30 now…hmmm….I guess I could get tomorrow’s housework done tonight and sleep late….hmmmmm…tempting….but then again I could just wait until you post link….hmmmm…same time to do both…more exciting to see live….hmmmm….Help here..is anyone else in my time zone crazy enough to stay up…is it just me, am I obsessed or possessed?
Ha, I’m with you Kathryn, I don’t think I’ll be able to stay up ….. but I’m sorely tempted
OMG! 16,000 in Denver. Why is this race so damned close?
Good ? Jackie. I’m thinking maybe it is not close at all.
It’s not close, actually, but it’s best to have everyone working as if we are losing that way our landslide will be historic
#TrustBarack
I hear ya.
Its close like the Obama/McCain race in 2008 accept this one is even “closer” and when I use the word closer I mean the opposite.
The media created the perception of a “close” race but now the media has decided to question “the media” and basically admit that they were reporting what they Romney campaign was feeding them. They are useless if they don’t portray this as a close race. The electoral college is a reality, but not a reality that the media wants to report on at this time. We don’t need to worry about the polls, the media, or any other distraction. The GOTV efforts is what is making the difference and what is swinging this election. Early voting has started off strong for us and it continues. There are plenty of “unlikely” voters who have registered and voted on the same day in some states who are not part of any poll.
true that
I like thinking about all these little white children we’ve seen over the years growing up adoring a Black President. This will help shape the future of this country.
Beautiful and true insight, Tien Le!
What a beautiful statement……and so very true….my Grandchildren 8(girl) and 10(boy) from 2 families have been reared with PBO AND MICHELLE being role models….their strength, honesty, compassion, humor, decency, morals, intelligence and genuiness are beyond compare for all races to emulate.(doesn’t hurt that PBO’s love of sports with Grandson)…..and that is the MAIN reason I voted for PBO.
Great observation, Tien Le! President Obama is really transforming the future of this country.
Was in my Inbox:
My name is Mike McCready, and I play guitar in Pearl Jam. I also have Crohn’s Disease, a chronic, life-threatening condition—and twice in recent years I’ve been denied by insurance for treatment my doctor said I needed.
That’s why I am such a big supporter of ObamaCare—and why on Election Day I will only vote for candidates who support it.
Just think—if someone like me has trouble getting the coverage I need, what’s it like for everyone else? Will you take the pledge too?
Click here to sign the petition to vote for candidates who support ObamaCare.
With the resources that come from being in a successful rock band, I’ve been able to fight back and get the coverage I need. But not everyone is so lucky.
I think about all the kids I’ve met with Crohn’s and other chronic illnesses and I know that without ObamaCare many of them will not receive the health care they need.
Some candidates say they want to repeal ObamaCare but would still protect folks with pre-existing conditions. Don’t count on it. We had to fight for years to get these protections. If they go away now, it will be virtually impossible to get them back.
Click here to pledge to vote only for candidates who support Obamacare—and then urge your friends to sign as well.
Beginning January 1, 2014, ObamaCare will prevent insurance companies from denying health insurance to people with pre-existing conditions.
ObamaCare also expands our right to appeal insurance company denials for payment or coverage. Because of this process, an external review board was able to overturn denials from my insurance company for life-supporting treatments of my disease on two occasions.
Under ObamaCare, every American will have the right to appeal to an Independent Review Organization that can overturn their insurer’s decision. Insurance companies will no longer have the final word.
Election Day is in just two weeks. Please pledge to vote to ensure that all Americans receive access to health care coverage and then send this email to your friends and urge them to sign as well.
Click here to pledge to vote only for candidates who support Obamacare.
Thanks!

Great video from him came out this Monday
This is so wonderful!! Thanks, dudette:) As always….
that was awesome! Tweeted
“When Obama …” fixed
YES!!
As I saunter away in my white trench coat, with my sternest Olivia Pope (Scandal) voice, I say: “It’s Handled”
Dudette, TYT missed the message. According to tea baggers, God is a teabag Republican and his will is only reflected in issues favored by teabag Republicans. If President Obama is re-elected that would only mean a triumph of evil. As you know, in many evangelical circles he is already viewed as an antiChrist. It’s so sad to see how right wingers have completely distorted Christianity in order to advance right wing agendas.
I hear you Nath, but, nevertheless I’d say it’s the tea baggers who have missed the message. If they can ‘create’ their own message so too can we, and we are so much more inspired.
You are absolutely right, VC! The tragedy, of course, is that sane Christians are ignored by the media.
The Republican Party needs a cleansing enema, I’ll give the first one. Now to decide which one goes first, so many Repuglicans, so few emenas.
Start giving out enemas to the Republican Party, you’ll have no more Republican Party! They’re full of it.
omg…THAT needs to be an ad running 24/7 on all channels,,,,,I have never seen it explained so simply…..
Thanks, Dudette for sharing this! This needs to be shared widely. The guy does an excellent job in explaining the debt. This what mainstream media should be doing instead of being obsessed with the polls.
He really does. Center for American Progress is simply the BEST!
This is excellent!

Oooooo I love that one.
Phony letters go out to voters in 28 Florida counties warning they are not eligible to vote. Fed investigating. I am SO SICK of Repubs trying to steal elections!!!!!!!
Hmmm….
Federal prison, anyone? Anyone?
Ha ha! I so wanna witness the perp walk(s).
Yes, please. In droves.
5 Voter Misinformation Campaigns To Watch Out For
http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2012/10/24/1079391/5-voter-misinformation-campaigns-to-watch-out-for/
•Phone voting. Residents in Florida, Indiana and Virginia are receiving mysterious phone calls telling them they can vote by phone instead of going to the polls. Virginia’s board of elections has received at least 10 complaints, mostly from seniors, though the total number of people affected by these calls is unclear.
•Fake voter purge letters. Also in Florida, a mass mailing of fake letters questioning voters’ citizenship is being investigated. The letter, written on fake letterhead of a local county’s Supervisor of Elections, tells recipients in 23 counties to fill out a “voter eligibility form” with their Social Security information, Florida drivers licence number, and addresses. The letter claims the recipients must send the form to the Supervisor of Elections within 15 days or be purged from the rolls — mimicking actual purge letters ordered by Florida governor Rick Scott (R) challenging 200 Floridians’ citizenship.
•Intimidating billboards. Dozens of billboards warning that voter fraud is a felony popped up suddenly in predominantly African American and Latino neighborhoods of Cleveland, Ohio earlier this month. The message, which includes the prison sentence and fine for voter fraud, is likely targeting former felons who do have the right to vote in Ohio. The company, Clear Channel Outdoor, announced they would take down intimidating voter fraud billboards after the sponsor refused to come forward. The company is also donating 10 billboards declaring, “Voting is a Right. Not a Crime!”
•Misleading voter ID ads. Though a judge ruled that Pennsylvania voters without a photo ID could still cast a regular ballot, state-sponsored ads have continued to tell residents they must show an ID. These ads are aired on television and radio, at posters at the DMV, and were mailed to thousands of seniors via a state prescription drug program. A billboard targeting Spanish speakers also continues to misleadingly promote the ID requirement.
•Employer pressure. Several CEOs are pressuring their employees to vote for Romney by suggesting they will be forced to fire workers if Obama wins the election. While employers used to be banned from directly expressing political opinions to employees, the Supreme Court changed that with its 2010 Citizens United ruling. Workers have reported being pressured to vote, donate, and attend Romney rallies by their bosses.
But, how did they even get the names?
Great read by Deaniac…and food for thought:)
http://www.thepeoplesview.net/2012/10/the-mobile-divide-social-media-and-why.html
Agree, df.
Chips, everyone – this is truly a must read essay and check the comments, as well!
Our Team has a clue
Df, Deaniac’s analysis is brilliant and eye-opening. Wow!
I looooove my President–yes I do! I loooove my Vice-President too!
And they looooove you back! Know how I know? They told me so!
The crowds this man commands, it’s just….I can’t believe it. Has any other politician in US history drawn such large crowds as these?
Now that’s sweet!
Hey, guys, what’s this weird blank screen I’m getting on a lot of comments with nothing but ‘advertisement’ on it?
what’s that about?
Okay. Rebooted and it seems okay now. Yea, wordpress!
Happens me sometimes 57 when my connection is reeeeeeeally slow ….. which is most days
hmmmm…. Chips, it seemed to happen on your posts, so I wondered if I was now being charged to read your elegant, insightful thoughts……
Definitely not, 57! I actually pay WordPress to block ads on the site, so if any are showing up I sure want to hear about them!
It was a blank box but with the word ‘advertisement’ and nothing else, under your name in the posts. I thought maybe it was a photo, but I was getting the other photos. It was weird. But the reboot seemed to fix. On to reelecting Obama/Biden!
Yeah, I get that too sometimes, ie ‘‘advertisement’ written above the box, but I never actually see an ad – if I refresh it’s fine.
Whoa, back up. You PAY to avoid ads? Should we be contributing to this site? Think of what he’d have to pay in therapy or legal bills if we didn’t have TOD! I’m happy to contribute, but after the election. I’m a tad strapped and trying to find money to PBO, Tammy Duckworth, Tammy Baldwin and those that need our support.
You’re massively kind 57, but rule number one here is: no money ever sought, no money ever accepted – it’s a love project! The no-ad fee is only $30 a year, and it’s worth every cent! Thanks 57!
PS I should add very quickly: there are lots of brilliant full-time PBO-supporting bloggers out there who deserve any donation we can give them, I’m just very lucky to have a job that gives me the time to do this too.
You’re an absolute treasure. I honestly don’t know if I would have stayed sane (no comments from the peanut gallery – please!) without TOD.
Will you at least accept a huge virtual hug? {{{{{Chips}}}}}
I don’t see what you’re seeing, 57. Are you using an iPad?
NICK HANAUER: WHO ARE THE “REAL” JOB CREATORS??
I have always loved this simple and honest explanation of job creators. WE are the ones we’ve been waiting for! WE are the job creators!! Thanks, Ladyhawke:)
I just retweeted this. I’m sure my followers have seen it 1,000 times, but it’s worth repeating, renewing our understanding, and sending to forward.
Thanks. It’s one of my favorite re-posts. It would be great if Nick Hanauer’s brilliant 6 minute message became common knowledge for the American people and “trickle down” economics just got laughed at and totally discounted as rubbish. Been there, done that.
I’m gonna tweet this. It doesn’t get old.
http://www.tmz.com/2012/10/24/mitt-romney-tom-stemberg-staples-lied-perjury-divorce-case-maureen/#ixzz2AELpKpUK
Was there ever a time when Romneybot 2.0 didn’t lie? My word!
Great photos. Thanks very much Chips.
With crowds like this 16k in Denver, how on earth can they have Romney leading in CO? Or am I missing something. Gawd!!
Keep going Mr President, we are right there with you…Got your back. Praying for Divine strength and guidance for you as you
go on this mega 2 day tour. We will WIN this thing. You are pure gold and we are soooo lucky to have you. God bless you.
Oh, forgot to say that pic of PBO on the cover of Rolling Stone is absolutely yummy!!
I was thinking that myself…..
I’m almost embarrassed to admit it, but I was actually admiring his pressed shirt in the photo – how do they get that shirt so smooth?
I am trying to avoid the naughty mat! I was also impressed by the sharp clothing won by a sharp PBO
On Monday I took my seven year old son with me to vote, I let him push the vote button. On the way home it hit me like a ton of bricks, we only have four more years of Barack. I was trying to think of who will we vote for in 2016, I could not think of anyone off of the top of my head. I was watching the Denver rally and it took me back to Grant Park in 2008 and all those feelings came rushing back. Me sitting on the edge of the bed crying, I wish my mother was alive to witness 2008. Sorry for babbling but I just had to talk to someone.
That’s a good thing you did with your son. You are planting the seeds of being a good and responsible citizen in him at a young age. I did the same with my children…who are now adults and engaged citizens and will both vote for Barack Obama’s re election this year:) As far as crying about your mom and wishing she was alive to see this in 2008….I believe she knows….as my mom does….and their smiles could not be any bigger. She’s watching…and she’s here with you. After all, you are half of her..she lives within you. Sometimes, I cry happy tears, just knowing that.
I think the best thing a parent can do is take their kids in the voting booth. I remember it vividly. Now, I came from a great FDR-Democratic family and politics was discussed in my family as early as I can remember. But I have fond, profound memories of being in a voting booth with either my mom or dad (who were both dead by the time I was 21 years old). I am so grateful for their legacy, on so many levels.
Oh, that’s an incredible day you had, Don.
As the campaign is winding it’s way to November 6th, I feel myself becoming more and more emotional about all of this. What this courageous and brilliant man means to all of us. How he brought us out of the darkest days and how hard he fights for us each and every day. Who he is. How he’s changed the world and me. It’s overwhelming.
Don, you expressed what many of us feel. Of all the elections in my long life, the 2008 meant the most to me, and this 2012 means even more. My emotions are all right at the surface right now, and will be until the election is over. We have a GOOD man for president….how rare is that. A compassionate, long-suffering man, who is vilified every day. However, I think he knows that there is a great host of us out here who respect and admire him, and are surrounding him with our love and care. We are all part of his Circle of Protection.
Wow Don, thank you for talking to us. Yes, I often think about how awesome it would be for my mom and dad to have been here for 2008. Well 2008, and the past 4 years. They would be so stoked. My dad watched the news twice a day, and every morning read the newspaper. I was thinking today,…and this is so awefull, I wondered if mom and dad voted. I rember waaaaaaaaaaaaay back them watching a Nixon debate, and they also would watch the conventions. I just don’t remember asking- who are you voting for? The first election I rember voting in was Bill Clinton, and I was no younger than 22/23.
Now I’m “babbling”. Thank you again for being here Don, and ENJOY your memories of your mom. I like to think they’re always here with in spirit.
It’s OK…i get overwhelmed sometimes as well…i wish my nana had been alive to see the President…..
((((Don))))
What a beautiful moment, thanks for sharing it with us. I try to grab moments of this Presidency and truly enjoy them because I know it’s truly something special that won’t last forever.
Don, wonderful story. it reminds me of my mom, now 92 and has already voted for our President. she has not ever not voted. but,
in nov 1945 she was in labor and dad had to drive her 70 plus miles to the hospital, in a snow storm, but, she insisted that they stop
and vote prior to the drive to the hospital. My grandfrather, voted from the day he bacame a citizen, Mom and I often
speak of the commitment to voting, its a wonderful right.
Stopping to vote, while in labor?? Now, that’s dedication!
Don – someone worthy will emerge for 2016, and President Obama is probably already grooming that person. I have a feeling that Joe Biden is thinking seriously about running. As he should. President Obama emerged on the national scene in 2004, and was elected President four years later. We may see something similar, if VP Biden opts out.
Theo, if VP Biten opts out, would be nice for a woman to run for office again, like SOS.
It would be fantastic for a woman to run for office – with the momentum that the right wingers have engendered with their war against women, it would be a slam dunk. SOS has said she wants to be a grandma, and although I supported her in 2008, I feel like they need a very progressive woman to turn this country leftward. I’d support her if she ran, though, wholeheartedly.
POTUS will appear on the Tonight Show tonight.
I thought he was just taping it, and it would be aired at a later date. No?
Taped earlier today; airing tonight! Woot!
http://www.nbc.com/the-tonight-show/the-tonight-show/president-barack-obama-on-wednesday-oct-24th/
He’s on tonight.
Oh fantastic – THANKS!
Phone bank tonight! I’m FIRED UP!! Can’t wait to make these calls:)
Geeze. Our OFA offices are launching into 9am – 9pm hours!!
Hey chips,
Is the Katy Perry concert indoors or outdoors?
I suspect the place will be hopping?
Hiya Jovie, not sure ….. will go check!
Ain’t it fascinating – I remember my college campus in the late 60′s, early ’70′s (University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee). You could identify the jackasses: carrying their briefcases, looking like they were going to play ‘office’ at Daddy’s desk. Visualize Karl Rove, Ken Starr, Mitt Romney. In favor of the war, yet unwilling and cowardly and un-American to serve. Hey, as a college kid in those years, I support ANYONE who didn’t want to fight in a dumb, unnecessary war like Vietnam. What I cannot abide is those who wanted the rest of us peons to go fight but weaseled out themselves. They were traitors then, and traitors now.
That’s what this kid on the left reminds me of. I remember this kid, I really do.
Oh my…standing room only and they are FIRED UP!
Am I to understand that Ann Coulter called the President Retarded?
Is this all they got?
Ain’t that mature?
How nice?
I hope this young man’s letter shamed her evil ass into silence. Won’t hold me breath though.
sorry “my” breath
PBO arriving in LA = http://www.cbsnews.com/liveFeed/widget.shtml
I scurried out to LAX to try and see Air Force One landing in person. I was a few minutes late, and just saw the helicopters in the sky. I was very melodramatic in the car – fists shaking in the air, etc.
MECHANICSBURG, Ohio — Vice President Joe Biden made an unexpected stop here at Castle’s Country Restaurant — asking “what’s good?” on his way in.
One patron, Mike Madigan, was sitting in a booth by the entrance and recommended the truckers’ special.
Biden worked the room booth by booth, stopping where 94-year old Bill Westfall was sitting. “What’ve you been eating? Because I’ll tell you, whatever you’re eating is what I want,” he said.
Another woman, Mary Lee Simpson, called Biden “slim,” and he bear-hugged her.
“Would you write a note to my wife and let her know?” he said with a big grin.
Simpson introduced Biden to her husband, while Biden introduced his daughter Ashley.
“They have her with me the last two weeks to keep me from making mistakes,” Biden said about his daughter.
“Did it work?” Simpson asked.
“So far,” Biden replied.
Nice!
last item on previous thread.
FLOTUS and Hallie Berry will be on Jimmy Kimmel tomorrow night.
Looking forward to it.
Thank you, anniebella!!
Yay! POTUS tonight on Leno, FLOTUS tomorrow night on Kimmel.
I remember that being said last week when FLOTUS voted by absentee ballot, that POTUS will stop by Chicago to vote early.
dudette! You’re funny!
James Taylor will be with POTUS in Nashua, NH, on Saturday.
Woot! Sweet Baby James re-united with POTUS! How sweet it is!
I think I’ll skip Katy Perry tonight and save ALL my energy for my two most favorite men….I’m getting too old for all this excitement!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my heart is already pounding in anticipation I’m so glad you posted this before 11 PM…..hee hee hee
ps…know I was in that crowd somewhere…..yummmmmm
Chips! That was so funny & right on! Got busy again forwarding it to everyone & asked them to pass it on!
That was too much Mitt Romney for me.
Ah yeah, for me too!
Wow, Chips! You are so creative! I need to share this with all my friends.
Oh geez—-just saw a new ad for crazy man Joe Walsh——another one of the Mourdock variety—–using his son to say that his dad is the greatest, they show multiple family photos which include whom I assume to be his divorced wife, the kid’s mother, the one who had to sue him for non-payment of child support. The son says, “Shame on you, Tammy Duckworth!” for attacking our family etc. etc. etc.
I cannot stand this shameless human being, Joe Walsh, a national embarrassment.
He is shameless. He needs to be sent back to the unemployment line. I’ll gladly pay taxes to take this man out of office and supply him with unemployment insurance.
I agree and sent money to Tammy Duckworth’s campaign early on in hopes of getting more women in office and for getting rid of Joe Walsh.
WOW.
Suspect in Libya consulate attack killed in Cairo, reports say
CAIRO — A gunman reportedly linked to the militant attack last month on the U.S. mission in Libya was killed in a shootout with police in Cairo on Wednesday, according Egyptian state TV and independent news media.
The Egypt Independent newspaper reported that the man, whom security officials identified only as Hazem, was described as a terrorist. The newspaper and the state TV website said the heavily armed suspect was killed after a long gun battle with police in the Nasr City section of Cairo.
The reports could not be independently confirmed, and there were conflicting reports over the incident.
“Security authorities said they had acquired information implicating the man of involvement in the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi,” the newspaper reported. The attack on the consulate in September killed U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans.
State TV and the Egypt Independent reported that the suspect died in an apartment during the gunfight and a fire. Police reportedly seized bombs, rocket-propelled grenades and ammunition from the scene.

Has Willard ever phonebanked? dropped by a field office? canvassed? encouraged a volunteer? brought pizza? Or is that beneath him — something for the commoners to do?
aghhhhhhh. If he did and there is video I don’t want to see it –awkward people engagement thing.
Willard’s “canvassing” is distributing memos to his friends in the media and polling outfits about what narrative he desires.
Here in Toronto; could hardly wait to get to our room so I could log on to TOD!
Ha, canadabarb4obama, you’ve got it bad!
Welcome home!!
I know the feeling…
It is outside-
Come on Nevada, fill that field with everybody.
WE TAKE CARE OF OUR OWN!!!!!!
So getting rape and becoming pregnant is God’s will according to Richard Murdoch. Women with any common sense ought to be afraid of comments like that and anyone who supports that kind of person. Afraid, mad or whatever, women with any dam sense ought to vote against some one like that. That includes Richard Murdoch who made the comment and Mitt Romney supports Murdoch. For any woman who is rape and she become pregnant, it ought to be that woman and her family decision as what to do. Not the Government decision, not any politician, but the family and woman who would be affected by the rape and pregnancy.
hmmm … I wonder if God told Rupert Murdoch that during one of their daily calls to each other …
… some have too much money and stupidity and very little of everything else *sigh*
correction *richard* …
This lady is so smart. She should have a show or go to work in the next Obama Administration;
Thank you Joy for speaking the truth because the MSM is in the hip pocket of the Romney, Rove, Koch Brothers.
Agree wholeheartedly. Joy is intelligent.
Joy Ann Reid is one of the best political analysts on cable. I am always happy to see her on a panel. She is insightful and always brings fresh ways of looking at things. She is not like many of the lazy sheep in the media. Joe doesn’t go along with the CW. She is a breath of fresh air. I also love Crystal Ball and Karen Finney.
fingercheck Joe s/b Joy.
Yup – I’m on board with all three. Informed and passionate women.
Go ahead and speak the TRUTH, Joy! Without the mainstream media hiding the TRUTH from the American people, Romney would by now be history.
Mayans demand an end to 2012 doomsday myth

One question, where the hell are the decent Republicans? Why aren’t they speaking out against this stuff.
They are voting for Barack Obama
Fear: They’re afraid of reprisals from their own party. That party’s foundation is fear & hate.
AINT GONNA LET NO BODY TURN US AROUND….

I like the version that The Roots did too…
Dudette, you are awesome! Your versatility in music is really quite impressive. I really appreciate the way you use music to inspire the TOD family. I came of age in the sixties and music was the lifeblood of the freedom movement. This song captured the spirit and the resolve of the people during those ugly and violent times.
Thanks nath! I remember this song from the 60s too — required knowledge in my family!
It had to come this in the oldest democracy. Pathetic.
What an idiot! He may be the AttyGen of Texas but he is ignorant of International Law. UN international monitors can not be arrested without violating International Law.

They seem to be multiplying like cancer cells.
They are – gop state legislators need to lose their government funded salaries – also, too
Something “Frederick the Great” said ages ago: “He who defends everything, defends nothing.” For Willard, I’d like to paraphrase: “He who says anything, defends nothing.”
LMAO!! Chi-chi-chi CHIA!
I heard the 7-11 has a “Romney” coffee cup and a “Obama” coffee cup for people to choose their preference as to whom they will vote for when getting coffee. So far it is 53% Obama to 46% Romney.
LOLGOP @LOLGOP

OT: This is for the TODers who keep us entertained with funny jokes:
No English dictionary has been able to adequately explain the difference between the words COMPLETE and FINISHED. However, so I am told, in a recent linguistic conference held in London, England, and attended by some of the best linguists in the world, Samsundar Balgobin, a Guyanese, was the clear winner.
His final challenge was this. Some say that there is no difference between COMPLETE and FINISHED. Please explain the difference between COMPLETE and FINISHED in a way that is easy to understand.
Here is his astute answer: “When you marry the right woman, you are COMPLETE. But, when you marry the wrong woman, you are FINISHED. And when the right one catches you with the wrong one, you are COMPLETELY FINISHED!”
His answer was received with a standing ovation lasting over 5 minutes and it entitled him to receive an invitation to dine with Queen, who decided to call him after the contest. He won a trip to travel around the world in style and a case of 25 year old Eldorado rum for his answer.
AMK & Yardarm, eat your heart out! Absolutely delicious humor!
GM folks. I was looking at the early voting stats – http://elections.gmu.edu/early_vote_2012.html .
In friggin’ WV, dems are leading by almost 50 to 38 with 0.8% voting. While WV will not go blue, such a big difference in early voting shows that the dems everywhere are very enthused about voting even if they know their vote in a red state might not count much.
So fuck the pollsters and msm. Let’s GOTV.
NV is looking good at 46 to 37 especially clark and washoe counties.
This is good news amk. I also saw that in Indianapolis, early voting is UP this year 49% from 2008.

You know what AMK, I think the media have been talking to choir. Based on 2010 congressional results, and the loud talking emoprogs, the media embraced a meme that Democrats are not enthusiastic about voting. They’ve been repeating this meme among themselves. I think they are going to be surprised on Nov. 6th. I saw your projections and I think you will, for the most part, be vindicated.
This guy is a complete cretin.
These mofos turn from bullies to weaklings at the drop of a hat. The persecution complex runs strong in these RWNJs.
PJ, I think the term “Chicken-hawks” captured their true character when it came to advocating wars that they and their children never served in. Now we need to add on another term: “wimpy-bullies.” They love to bully everyone but the moment you fight them back they start crying and acting like innocent victims.
Bravo to Eric for that excellent tweet. Thanks Meta for sharing it. Mourdock comes across as bully-wimp. As Harry Truman said to them decades ago, if they can’t stand the heat they should get out of Kitchen!
The FUCKING SEVERE BEATING THAT SMELLY, BLOVIATING IGNORAMUS trump DESERVES defies description. But, I’m opposed to violence. Ultimately he’s far too pathetic and discredited for anyone to expend the energy…….. as minimal as it would be.
Exactly.

A word from POTUS, posted 25 minutes ago:

OMG. I know Kelly really well. She was a personal friend here in Chicago at a small mortgage company. I cannot believe she made this list as she isn’t self made as this implies – she married an older wealthy, wealthy man who owns a hedge fund. The last time I saw her she was showing us pictures of her at the White House with Bush. Aghhhhhhh.

My goodness, Rachel is full of doom and gloom tonight with all of this tied race and John Boehner as possible president stuff. Enough already. She did a good job on the abortion issue.
13 Day suspension of punditry still in effect.
+1.
Since when? I couldn’t tell by reading earlier comments on thread.
cos, guess what? I heard Rachel B.S. yesterday and she turns around and bring this same B.S. up again tonight. And I turn the channel. I was not going to listen to the B.S. again. Rachel was not worth listening too.
Turn her off! I don’t want to hear any more doom and gloom from these armchair pundits.
I feel so damned good about this election! So good! I’m actually giddy! I’m hoping to early vote on Wednesday or next Saturday. I’m going home to cast my vote for PBO! Forget the polls, peeps! Look at the electoral map!
Ps- Ohio! Don’t let us down! Iowa, the same goes, so too for WI!
Pps- I’d love for PBO to win FL, just as an FU to Willard, but in this election, we can’t afford to be petty! Eyes on the prize baby! I smell VICTORY!!!!
Ppps- vote like your life depends on it: it does.
Neeeeeeeeeeeeeew post everyone:
http://theobamadiary.com/2012/10/24/coming-up-47/
I was talking to a friend tonight who tried to early vote but didn’t realize the polls are only open to 5!! However you can vote on Saturdays (which I discovered isn’t an option in Iowa – polls are closed on Saturdays!)
I think the Dem party must work HARD to get voting changed to all 30 day window of mail in like Oregon. This poll stuff is so outdated. And time wasting. And invites fraud and suppression by the GOP.
This is funny! So, now they are sticking up for third party candidates?
What a joke!
