A very special, sleepy-eyed ‘Hellooooo’ TODobots ! It’s Thursday, and the President is wearing me out. Have to work this afternoon so trying to catch his morning session after staying up to watch his Vegas trip. At this rate I’ll be too tired to ‘vote’. Anyways, have a wonderful Thursday, you all!

      Morning VC, morning everyone ;-)

Dia uit, ‘Honey Chile’,  and THANK YOU for conveying a personal greeting from the Pres! When you next see him, do let him know I’m quite happy AND proud to see how excellently he’s been performing the job for which he was born. #LANDSLIDE2012

You enjoy YOUR day, now, and try not to start any ‘trouble’ in the village, neither with the Indians nor the Chelseyans. ;) ;)

        • October 25, 2012 at 8:33 am

The Chelseyans will go very quiet at the weekend VC after United whip their butts.

Oh! Oh! Chips = courageous …or foolhardy /covering my head, my eyes, AND my ears because I happen to know their fiercest cheerleader is up and about; moving quickly out of the line of fire /

            Bye, Ms Chips!

    • October 25, 2012 at 9:10 am

Oh, VC, I share your pain. Between keeping up with the president, preparing for GOTV and attending meetings, I’m worn out. Mercifully, I have voted, so there is that. I’m stunned, awed, overwhelmed and humbled by the president’s energy. And he doesn’t just keep going, he keeps going brilliantly, getting better and better each time he speaks. In my best years twenty or thirty years ago, I could not have begun to match this kind of energy. He is simply and utterly amazing!!!!

        October 25, 2012 at 10:05 am

GM, JG  Simply and utterly amazing, and if voters play their cards right we can borrow him and his energy for FOUR MORE LANDSLIDE YEARS!!! Thank you for the work YOU & Mr. JG have been doing to make that possible!

The Prez is so full of energy. He is like the Energizer Bunny. Another reason to re-elect him. I cannot think of another person that fights so hard for us or to get re-elected. He has Citizens United with their unending money against him, the entire obstructionist Repub Party, the Conservative media as well as the critical Liberal media, the financial sector, unabashed racists, unprecedented voter suppression attempts, those who are dissatisfied due to expecting everything to be done as they want instantly, and those who do not arm themselves with factual political information and believe blatant lies,

      • October 25, 2012 at 1:53 pm

You are so right Obama Grandmama. Never has a President had to deal with so much….in terms of opposition, oppression, blatant racism, as well as devastating problems at home and abroad….and he deals with it ALL with grace and intelligence….and yes, ENERGY. He’s at the top of his game and we need him for four more years!

PBO is running Willard into the ground these last two weeks the same way he did to ol’ battleaxe McCain in ’08. My President is taking up all the oxygen in the room and Willard will be gasping for air come Election Night.

Obama’s office suite in Sterling was in an office park next to a dentist’s office. The front window was plastered with Obama-Biden signs, the door was propped open, and the stink bugs that plague Virginia in the fall crawled over stacks of literature — fliers for Senate candidate Tim Kaine, Obama bumper stickers — piled on a table near the front reception desk. In rooms in front and back, volunteers made calls on cell phones, while in the interior, field staffers hunched over computers. One wall was covered with a sheet of paper where people had scrawled responses to the prompt, “I Support the President Because…”, while another wall held a precinct-by-precinct list of neighborhood team leaders’ email addresses.

Only about a mile down the road was the Republican office, a cavernous, unfinished space on the back side of a strip mall next to a Sleepy’s mattress outlet. On one side of the room, under a Gadsden flag (“Don’t tread on me”) and a poster of Sarah Palin on a horse, two long tables of land-line telephones were arrayed. Most of the signs, literature, and buttons on display were for the local Republican congressman, Frank Wolf. A volunteer in a Wolf for Congress T-shirt was directing traffic, sort of — no one really seemed to be in charge and there were no paid staff present, though there were several elderly volunteers wandering in and out. The man in the T-shirt allowed me to survey the room but not walk around, and was unable to refer me to anyone from the Romney campaign or coordinated party effort.

These basic characteristics were repeated in all the offices I visited: The Obama offices were devoted almost entirely to the president’s reelection; the Republican offices were devoted almost entirely to local candidates, with little presence for Romney. In Greenwood Village, Colorado, I walked in past a handwritten sign reading “WE ARE OUT OF ROMNEY YARD SIGNS,” then had a nice chat with a staffer for Rep. Mike Coffman. In Canton, Ohio, the small GOP storefront was dominated by “Win With Jim!” signs for Rep. Jim Renacci. Obama’s nearest offices in both places were all Obama. In Canton, a clutch of yard signs for Sen. Sherrod Brown leaned against a wall, but table after table was filled with Obama lit — Veterans for Obama, Women for Obama, Latinos for Obama, and so on. The Obama campaign uses cell phones exclusively, while the Republicans use Internet-based land line phones programmed to make voter calls. Every Obama office has an “I Support the President Because…” wall, covered with earnest paeans to Obamacare and the like.

He was the voice of a lot of conflicted Republicans and articulated the issues that indies struggle with. Masterful.

I found it hilarious, however, that he went through the Republican presidents he’d worked for and didn’t mention W. Wow.

You see him struggle to say anything positive about DimMitt.

        Thank you, sir.

Now there you go with wishful thinking, 57! ;) Have you seen any previous media attempt to enlighten,… to reach for the nuance, …to notice subtleties, …. to remark on the obvious when it would underline PBO’s political mastery? Frankly I think many of the current media are too ‘dumb’ to have noticed such a significant omission (as being significant, that is), and those who did would probably expound that Powell was being strategically supportive of Willard by keeping that name quiet. Yeah, yeah, ridiculous, but so is a lot of their spin IMO.

PBO has really brought home the true Democratic vision of everyone having a voice, and everyone being heard. The Internet has made it more of a reality for many. The past is gone now, and soon the hidden agendas of the war mongers. Barack Obama has brought a new Light into this world, and through his words and actions, more people can now see. May God continue to Bless and Keep Him. He is loved by millions, dare I say, he is loved by billions! :) {{{{{{Chipsticks}}}}}}. {{{{{TOD}}}}}

That’s a continuation of Brian Williams interview with PBO——-the same Williams who was just telling Charles Todd how Obama is only drawing crowds of 5000 now when last time he got crowds of 12,000——as they broke away to show Obama with an estimated crowd of 12,000. (also could have showed crowds of 16,000 from yesterday—-and the day before etc.)

It’s interesting that the same media folk who keep braying about Obama’s crowds being down from 2008, have absolutely nothing to say of the fact that Mitt Romney’s crowds rarely exceed 6-8K, compared to the McCain/Palin crowds of 2008 that were routinely above 20K.

Barack Obama is now the President, and for him, security is of utmost consideration, not crowd size. And if that’s the only thing the MSM can talk about, then you know that Romney is losing – big time.

Someone need to tell Todd and Williams that our First Lady can draw bigger crowds than Mitt Romney. Take that and choke on it Brian Williams.

The Obama team is coming at Mitt from all angles. His pitiful, flip flopping campaign team can’t keep up. They can’t compete in the BIG LEAGUES!!

Guys, how much money can we raised to donate to any charity of Donald Trump choosing if he gets Mitt Romney to release his tax returns?

My best idea about what to do concerning Trump is just totally ignore him as he is an attention junky.

I love my husband, I really do. But when you tell me what Brian Williams said for the 15th time, you are not entitled to “Let me finish”.

And we don’t need William’s dumb musings dragged here, either. Too much good news to rehash stupid punditry. :-)

If, and it is a big if, this estimate of a 23% increase in Latino voters nationally over 2008 is accurate, and if PBO gets 75% of the Latino vote, 340 EVs or above is not out of the question.

  76. October 25, 2012 at 10:23 am

I am so pissed!!!!!!!!!!!!! Came to early vote. Got here just before 10:00 ASSUMING it would be open. No….not until 11:00! Even here in red east TN they are making it harder……another way to suppress. God, I am so angry. Thankfully, working at Obama headquarters this afternoon. :)

What is this with the Detroit News endorsing Romney. Detroit? It blows my mine that after what President Obama did for the Detroit auto industry that this disloyalty will be on display. PBO will still win MI.
