Susan, that’s all he does and, poor soul, he hasn’t twigged to the fact those baby photo-ops do not reflect too well on him. Have you ever seen Mitt make ‘contact’ with a baby? He never seems to look them in the eye/face and generally holds them like a sack of something he doesn’t want too near his person. Poor babies and poor Mitt. Apart from the fact I would never trust my child to Mitt, as a parent I haven’t seen too many baby pictures with Mitt that I would want to keep. Even his young granddaughters seem uncomfortable around him IMO.
You’re so right! I bet that he never held his own kids and doesn’t know how to hold others. “Poor babies and poor Mitt” indeed. I remember after the debate when his own grandson leaned to get out of his arms.
I’d go so far to say that apart from likely not holding his own kids, Mitt lacks the warmth or the internal ‘something’ that would help him to instinctively know what to do or how to respond to babies/people. He has been campaigning for years with babies a part of the deal and he quite obviously hasn’t learned anything. I bet you Amk’s $100/$200 (you’re good for the loan if necessary, right Amk?) that after this campaign you won’t see Mitt holding any non-family babies, whereas I can see Pres O naturally interacting with babies/toddlers/kids/youth/adults wherever he encounters them.
Although after the last debate when the Romney’s and Obamas were mixing, Romney held a grandchild and I was interested to see that they both seemed very comfortable as Romney held him close, face to face.
I noticed that at the time and figured it was probably easier for Mitt because he was not really a baby AND he was a boy. Indeed because of his size Mitt couldn’t have held him as he normally holds the babies handed to him.

Did a little research (google) and found out they must be really old—-first formed in the 1960′s—-in Spartenburg, South Carolina, not surprisingly. A southern rock deal. Most of original band members had disbursed by the mid 80′s. Whatever is left has been playing cruise ships and now Willard events. Sad. Not quite on the same level as Springsteen and Stevie Wonder etc.

This is a video I could watch over & over again. It’s very uplifting, and it’s an amazing video of everything that we have experienced under the leadership of President Obama. It’s 7 minutes, but so worthwhile!

Well, the best I can do for the last push this weekend is give money. Spouse still isn’t quite up to snuff, and I don’t feel comfortable leaving her alone for a long stretch of time. Man, if anyone had told me when I was 20 that at 43 I’d be worried over a wife, I would’ve laughed. “Not me! I’ll have a different woman every week!” SMH.
Oh, my first 2 or 3 years with her I was, how shall I say, resistant. I saw my “freedom” slipping away from me. I was a much more doctrinaire person in my late 20′s – early 30′s. But life has a way of putting the people you need in your path, and I really don’t know what I’d do without her.
Hang in there. You’ll find that special person. Just be open.

I too just googled them and looked at their pictures and well, they just don’t fit nor does that music with Mitt the Rich Romney. Seriously. Are worn out, used up, has been “country like” bands all the GOP can get these days, oh and sorry, Meatloaf (but he has no star power … just a small following). It is embarassing.
The most embarassing thing is Romney will have to pretend to be grateful for the endorsement of a band he knows nothing about and pretend to like their music because it is all he can get.
