If folks are not on Twitter now, you should be. The situation in Miami-Dade re: early voting is a full-fledged fiasco complete with folks having their cars towed while they try to vote… This was intentionally done by the GOP. They will face the consequences. Voter suppression will not stand.

Hi…. mostly lurking Canadian here. Remember the big scandal about the photoshopped images of a Romney crowd a few days back? It made me scan another shot– 360 degree panoramic shot– and found, if not photoshop, a glitch in it that suggest a chunk more people than should be there. Look to the left of the RR sign in the wheel spoke sections. there are two spokes that look a whoooole lot like each other, a bit in the floor crowd, too. You can notice a glitch in the support beams above, too. Deliberate or tech error– you decide.

Earlier today they showed all of last night’s Virginia rally–both President Clinton and Obama’s speeches.
And they had Biden’s rally on. Not defending C-Span, but they do show both each day.
They have shown VP Joe’s and Michelle’s rally as well. Looking at the schedule it’s pretty balanced. There will not be a station like FOX who caters to Democrats as FOX does to Republicans. I’m watch such a station anyway. I can accept there are different views by decent people. It’s the RWNJs that make it bad for the rest of them. Maybe after PBO gets re-elected the sane ones will dump the teabutts who bring their party down.

Rudy is the guy who announced that he was leaving his wife at a press conference. He didn’t manage to tell his wife first. She heard about it from reporters. That’s when he showed his true colors. (He was a federal prosecutor before running for mayor and had a great record of going after mobsters, corrupt politicians, etc. Then he became mayor and started to believe his own publicity.)

How again are the likely votes tied in the swing state at 48%?

After the President and VP win on Tuesday, i truly would love it if he is able to take up the matter of voting rules in national elections! I know that each state is in control of their owm elections, but it is evident that politics is hampering the ability to have a even, fair election. Surely at least the national elections can be made more uniform across the country.

Exactly my sentiment. Uniform methods for national office elections. And Vote day off, too. Dems ought to get religious about making elections fair and very easy. There’s just more of us than them and this would accrue to our benefit. You’d think this would be priority one of Dems, but instead, every four years we get outraged and surprised by GOP bold attempts at suppression.
OMG Grace … that is exactly what I was thinking earlier …. when I read that a voting place in FL closed with people still in line to vote. Why are the national elections not run by the Federal Government ….? Then the state, local elections can be run state by state however they like.

I’ve sensed too that in the last few days, the President is confident. Something in his smile, in his eyes even. And the way he speaks about the people’s power: a beautiful mix of intensity and serenity. It just melts my heart and my soul.
Oh I hope Chipsticks fine tunes and separates that part out. That was just soooooo Cute. This pres Loves to sing. Then the women behind noticed the president singing and they started dancing, my guess, they were trying to get the pres to dance too. He Kind of gestured….a tad.

The Republicans hate when we vote.
An interesting poll was just released by YouGov. Notably, the poll surveyed 36,000 which is by far the largest sample I’ve seen. PBO leads by two, 47.5 to 45.5. Eleven point lead with women and Romney only has a 9 point lead with men. Notably, Romney only takes 54% of the white vote which is not nearly enough for him to win this, with PBO at 40%. Also interesting is the fact that PBO is getting 5.7% of the 2008 McCain vote while Romney is getting 7.7% of the 2008 Obama vote. Instinctively that feels about right to me which accounts for the closer election this time around. In any event, it is interesting simply because of the sample size.
