first? hi folks
Great to see you Linda, thank you for all your MAGNIFICENT work – you’ve been fantastic.
You are the best, I don’t know what we would do without you. A warrior for the President.
I will need a few days to sleep and catch up on work, but soon I will share my stories…. Becoming the team leader 1 month before the election is quite an adventure.
Right back at ya, Linda! Honestly, you’ve been brilliant every step of the way, I hope you know how much you are appreciated.
Linda, I want to thank you for your invaluable presence during this Election season!
Hi! Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much for all your hard work and dedication to this President, this administration and all the goodness that is PBO. You deserve giant hugs!!
3rd is good, nice to see all of you. In the campaign office calling Nevada and Colorado. Trying to look official while I surf the web and follow twitter.
You’re a wonder, Linda ;-)
Light endures. Decency endures. Humanity endures. Hope endures.
Hi, Kat! Good to see ya on election night!
Si se puede!
Keep calm and carry on. Obama/Biden 2012
why the ?, chips?
Because I’m a worrier Amk, with a permanent knot in my tummy. :-(
Oh me too……I’m so nervous.
Joining in with the nerves. Just had a very large piece of apple cranberry pie though.
Lo(o)se the knot will ya ?
Johnny Walker Green if that doesn’t work upgrade to Gold. I am mellow now.
I had been saving this special pizza for tonight to eat while watching election returns wearing my souvenir Inaugural Obama sweatshirt. Well, I am wearing the sweatshirt for good luck but my stomach is too upset for the special pizza. Bummer! My own party ruined by nerves! Doesn’t matter just so we win in the end.
NH PBO leading by 61 to 37. Wow.
Wasn’t that a swinging state up until, oh, yesterday?
It’s a swinging state alright. It’s swinging a baseball bat at the mittbot’s kneecap and stupid media’s collective heads.
Ok, when it’s called for Obama, I might just be a bawling mess. And I don’t cry easily. Really pisses off the spousal unit that I don’t.
You can hide among the millions who will be crying right along with you. It’s been a travesty that this awesome President has had to compete with a charlatan in the first place, and that his four years of accomplishment didn’t even seem to factor into the equation. He deserves a second term – and we will all be crying with joy and gratefulness that he signed up for a second term after the way he’s been treated.
2.52 am and I am wide awake!
Same here, niliathiel! Whereabouts are you? I’m in Cologne.
About an hour from there.
Not far off. 1.56am here.
I got my times mixed up. I’m a bad world citizen. :-(
Just made me a bowl of Neopolitan ice cream – just chillin’
Will not look at election sites or watch teevee – it’s way too early here in California (5:53pm)
GGail, watching Current TV and they are having more grown up conversation in their presentation. Plus they are keeping the spirit light as they go and givng nice infor. on some of the contestants. I find them lighter on my spirit.
Try that one, if you can. I have a light white in the glass and other goodies nearby.HZ
Biting my nails. Heart burn tums anyone
No Ms. Chips. I am completely confident.
Ah, good to hear Nospin!
It’s nerve wracking!!!
Not just hopeful. Freaking CONFIDENT.
:-) Thank you UT, you eased my tummy pain!
Me too, just gotta watch the beauty play out.
With 24% of the vote counted in Ohio Obama 57% Romney 42%— Ray Lawson (@Lawsonbulk) November 07, 2012
why only 24%? Ugh! I so want this over right now!
Finally home. Could not get a word in in the last thread! And that teeny salad ingad for Kinch just did not keep me together long eniugh!
Uh oh, someone is not wearing her glasses, is she? And have only just poured the Veuve, believe it or not!
Prepare to party by ~ 10p EST :)
I can wait till then Bobfr :-)
Which state do you predict will tip it for us by 10, Bobfr?
My 2011 prediction was 9:45PM ET…..8:45PM in the Mid-west.
Wow Bob! That’s an awesome prediction! I’ve been phone banking all day. I understand the knot in the tummy Chips!
Romney not running up margins like he needs to in Duval. 51.43% (197,274) to 47.55% (182,380). Only 18 precincts left.— Kevin Cate (@KevinCate) November 07, 2012
Ok- I’m extremely nervous! Two bottles of champagne cooling, but I’ve drank so much already! Looks like they are going to keep us on pins and needles til the end….all Obama wins they keep saying too close to call. Guess ill pop a bottle win PA is called
I’m trying to remain calm, but I have a headache. I’m supposed to be at the OFA Watch Party in a half hour and my stupid laptop went on the fritz!!! How am I gonna keep track with you guys? Other than that….WE GOT THIS!!!
Am here & super calm. We got this. Friends/Fam from all over the US & world are madly txting me!
I’m selfish. I told close friends PBO was going to win and not to call me during the count, mostly because I knew I wouldn’t feel like talking or calming them. I tend to handle my emotions far more easily when I don’t have to discuss them.
My little sister keeps shouting at me and my big sister as we freak out over every poll closure – but we’re all hanging in there via conference call. I can’t believe I’m not drunk yet… must be the adrenaline.
Whereas I have ALMOST complete silence – can’t convince offspring to turn the TV any lower.
Here in VA they had us to go the polling places to make sure voters did not get frustrated about the wait and leave. They need the votes. They had us knocking on doors until 6:45. Its going to be really close here..
WE ARE GOING TO WIN. But it will take getting the south out of the way first. Romney take the entire racist block, so it makes sense that he’s ahead right now. It’s not going to last for long.
exactly, no surprises thus far.
Oh, Meta . . . I live in North Carolina and I so do not want to be part of the “entire racist block,” working my brains out to have President Obama re-elected. I still cannot believe that anybody anywhere would be able to vote for Mitt Romney. And it is the case that near-about half of North Carolina is voting for Barack Obama.
I want to stay calm. But I have two problems. 1) A guy that has proven to be very well suited for a very difficult job and has a proven record of doing the job very well. Oh, also he’s a wonderful person with a terrific wife and daughters, his life is inspirational AND he’s inspiring. 2) The other guy is a fucking pathological LIAR, incapable of telling the truth, a mercenary, full of shit, his record is disgusting and he IS disgusting. These are my problems with staying calm.
I’m with you Magapie!
So it it OK to watch Cable News? I want to watch Fox and TeaNN once pres Obama has been re-elected.
Apparently, FOX is already making excuses for their loss and talking about what they need to do next time. I would stay far away from FOX, but that’s just me. TeaNN is a disaster. I’m peeking into MSNBC between cooking shows.
Completely Totally HOPEFUL. We’ve Got This :)
That is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo right, sherijr. We Do Have This. Just think of all of the work we have done.
Yes indeed HZ :)
Duckworth is leading Walsh 67% to 33%. Of course only 3 votes counted so far.
‘Of course only 3 votes counted so far.’ I’m sorry, Japa, but this made me laugh.

Rats, Tally! You beat me to it. Do you have the cleaning supplies handy, because I do?
Oh yes. :)
OK, I’ll step back. Next time.
I should be cleaning, but I’m so wound up, I’d probably break everything. :D
I actually cleaned the bathroom before lunch to help kill some time, and washed the dinner dishes etc. after supper for the same reason. Anything else will have to wait until I feel like it.

Just got home from 8 hours at OFA office. LOTS of workers and LOTS of food! I made well over 300 calls today to OH, PA…..positive results and had some great conversations. I have to say, I’m going to miss these phonebanks…I really liked talking to these people and I’ll have such fond memories of this experience. I got the occasional asshole, but they just made me chuckle for the most part.
I need to be here with all of you, for this night. Have my gin and tonic….have my TOD family….have my President. No where else I’d rather be. Let’s DO THIS THING!!
YOU ARE A GODDESS ROCK STAR!!!
Thank you for your good work!
thanks for working up to the wire!! you and we should all continue phonebanks and organizing to make sure we don’t have a repeat of 2010 in the 2014 midterms. it’s important that “forward” is an attitude that last forever, just as president obama promotes. forward forever!!!
I agree 4morefor44. We must continue “FORWARD” – especially during MidTerms!
I was phone banking today. We were calling WI and OH. All of the sudden with 45 (or what we thought was 45) minutes until they closed, the campaign had us calling Virginia. It was cool. It was a sheet of young people. Talked to a young girl in line. She said everyone was excited to vote for our wonderful President. It didn’t last long, we were back to calling WI in no time.
unofficial projection of GOP keeping the House and Dems keeping the Senate. Somehow we need to figure out how to get the GOP to work with Obama when he wins. I so wanted Nancy to get the gavel back. I am not sure how WI is called for PBO when he is behind in the vote when it is called?
NBC calling MA for WARREN!!!
OMG .. this makes me so happy. Our Presidential candidate in 2016 has won her senate seat!
That’s EXACTLY what I was thinking!!
So cool! I have been contributing to her campaign while living in OR.

And a whole bunch of red states also called. Got rid of the South now.
I live in the South, in fact the deep South – Alabama – and I agree with you Esmerelda … look it was by accident: I was born here. Had no choice in the matter and I am Pro-Choice (lol). GET RID OF THE SOUTH!

Ok, ok, Twitter is saying PBO won NV!! Is this accurate???
what time to polls close there? it’s PACIFIC TIME in NV.
that’s what I thought.
Both Reno & LV are on Pacific Time, so unless they close the polls at 6pm, which I DOUBT – it’s crap.
Yup – crap!
We on the west coast should know
Polls close at 7pm PST.
Pres. Obama wins New York, New Mexico, Michigan. #Election2012— (@utaustinliberal) November 07, 2012
How many EV’s for PBO now? I really want to see amk’s prediction come to fruition tonight!
By my calculations 129 to 154 Romney so far but no battlegrounds have been called.
GOP retains control of the House. :(
That was expected.
There’s always the midterms.
Pres. Obama has now won two of Romney’s home states – Michigan and Massachusetts.
Take that, Mitt. Oh, and you, too, Ann.
NEW JERSEY YEEEEEEESSSSSS
Projected to win: NEW JERSEY!!!!!!
Pres. Obama has 123 EV and Romney has 153. Romney’s 153 is from red states. Pres. Obama got Michigan which is a big deal.
So Willard lost both of his home states…MA and MI? Guess they questioned his birth certificate.
I am sure he has homes off-shore too … hmmm

sorry that was 55 to 44/
i see that there are several projections that the GOP will retain control of the House…but what i would like to know is if the DEMS won any seats….like PBO says change does not happen all at once…it might take another 2 years to regain a better position…
Of course they never mention how many new seats were actually won by democrats. Typical!
