Happening now (6:15 ET)
Congrats on first, Proud!
Congrats on 1st Proud!!!
Watching the arrival of first Family
Ok this is the real thing. Air Force greeting party out.
Query. Are they saluting the plane or the pilots because the President has stepped out of he door yet. Just wondering
Congratulation on being first Proud!
Our First family are finally home to relax and put this election behind them and pack another eight years of work in the next four. Welcome home Mr. President!
Awesome. I have two windows open – one for CBS, and and one for CNN. I keep switching back and forth between them. Don’t want to miss a thing! LOL! What will we do after 2017?
‘What will we do after 2017?’ Get a life?
I am not waiting until 2017, I plan to start putting out feelers right away. We-e-ell, right after the inauguration. Or maybe, after the President’s 1st 100 days of the new term? Just to make sure he’s off to a good start before I let him fly on his own, you know? Push him out of the nest, like I’m told mother birds do. Oh. What? He isn’t the one lingering in the nest? Oh! I’ll have to give that a bit more thought and get back to ya, Charlie Hopefruit.
Chuckle chuckle Me too! I should be cleaning my house and cooking to get ready for company this weekend instead of being on the blog and watching politics. After all the election is over so why am I still here? Cuz I am hooked on you and PBO and seeing all the thoughts after the election ended. I did think that maybe we need to push for more House Dems in 2014 and to keep the Senate so Obama could have his last two years be really productive. I worry about a GOP House continuing to obstruct and come up with crazy ideas.
OG, we are all doomed, wanting to know what will happen next and not wanting to miss a moment of it! We might as well make ourselves comfortable and accept the inevitable. Hmmmm, wonder if Chips ever considered installing a few ‘box’ seats in the village? She could probably retire on what some of us would pay to be in choice seating.
This is too funny how we’re all glued to our screens watching a plane land in the dark. If that ain’t love…
Yes as I said 12 step programs all around. But not until after inauguration
Yup…I’ll need a 24- step program!
Hey. We gotta make sure all is copacetic!
Horrible Knoller but
On flight back to DC, Air Force One crew presented Pres Obama with congratulatory cake. Pres Obama wondered who was flying the plane.— Mark Knoller (@markknoller) November 07, 2012
I bet Mark was more worried about the cake….
That is a beautiful expression expression of love and respect to the president. And I must say, the pilot of Air Force is fineeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. But now to seriousness, I think that is so cool. POTUS is so cool.”Who’s flying the plane?”
We love you Mr. President and our beautiful FLOTUS and FDOTUS. We will be have your back these next four years. Thanks for being such a wonderful human being.
Have a relaxing evening, Mr. President and our First Family. (((((((( We Love You)))))))))))HZ
Excuse me, I am still enjoying my celebration from last evening. Should be: expression; the pilor of Air Force One; We love you, Mr. President; We will have your back, these next four years.HZ
HZ, I noticed our dishy silver fox SS ma nwith the beard is back on duty. I missed him for a day….I think he needed rest Sunday! I always feel the president is completely safe when he is next to him.
Was there any video of this? So bummed I missed this!!!
Oh – I love this story!
Congratulations @DWSTweets for ALL you accomplished & for your exceptional loyalty to our President Obama! cc @BarackObama— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) November 07, 2012
Very thoughtful of ya to remember to thank Debbie, Bob!
Oh cool. CNN feed has sound.
Who comes off first? The kids?
The pres and Sasha.
Yep, saw that! Thought there was some “protocol” about how they deplane. Nope they just got off the plane.
Our first family is back in D.C. Their home for 4 more years.
Ah Mr President getting dressed to go out into weather.
I was away for a bit so feel a little distanced. Look back at comments #31-37 (Utal to yourself D9t9) and tell me you all aren’t ‘crazy’; Adults, sitting around in deep concentrating waiting for a family to disembark! We could even go a little further up the comments to see the same reaction. Crazy, the whole lot of you! So glad **I** wasn’t here.
Ms Chips! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for creating this place for us, so much loved being here with you and all of TOD last night! So elated this “morning” after no sleep!! The pictures, articles and videos have been breath-taking from you today…. much love and gratitude coming your way!
I missed it on CNN but saw them arrive on Rev.Al’s show.
Moved to tears!
FLOTUS is wearing that coat that I love!
Is that the man with the “football” who just came down the stairs? Or Pete Souza?
Pete Souza … camera round neck
will Axelrod be coming back to administration
I do not think so.
Watched them come home on Rev. Al’s show too. So good they came home the winners!!! Am looking forward to the next four years!!!
There goes the caravan..:-D
They’re going to the WH by motorcade, not via Marine One because of the weather I suppose.
Congrats to Chipsticks (can I presume you are of British heritage?) and to the TODers who worked hard to get our President re-elected!!
Hugs and kisses to you all.
NEWS FLASH to TEAGOP: Community Organizer organized communities to GOTV and wins 2nd term as POTUS. Turns out Community Organizing USEFUL.— Tally Briggs (@bardgal) November 07, 2012
Teabaggery not so useful. Listening to Randi Rhodes this afternoon she thinks the Teabaggers will be a footnote in political history. The big money baggers are not getting their money’s work on these one term candidates.
Biden, in the interview with Tweety on Sunday, made it clear that there were members of the Republican Congress who want to “break the fever” (Joe’s words). He seemed somewhat confident.
For once, I think those republicans were sincere. If I’m not mistaken, Joe was mostly talking about “a dozen” senators. However, I think those senators and Joe have underestimated the capacity of the right-wing hate machine to control the “electoral destiny” of those republicans.
So it’s possible that all of this “good will” will disappear very rapidly. We’ll see. What I suspect though, from watching and listening very carefully to President Obama in his speeches this week, is that the president has every intent to work more and more with the grassroots to put pressure on Congress. In his first term he had to tackle so many urgent problems he didn’t have enough time to cultivate and use OFA to its full potential. Now I sense he intends to work constantly with “the people” . Restoring the people’s power has been his true dream, the main reason he entered politics. Because he knows that the real agent of chance is an engaged citizenry.
You’re right. He even said in his victory speech that democracy doesn’t stop at voting, people have to participate in the governing process, because the government is of the people and by the people. He intends to call on people to own their democracy, because when he walks out in 2017, people have to be ready to “guard the change”. He means business.
bah ha ha Tally you crack me up!
POB used his skills as a great Community Organizer to get the vote out that helped put Pres. Bill Clinton in the WH. That is where Tweety is so shortsighted in his comments about POB making a public statement of thanks last evening. That crap made me so upset. POB started back long, long ago in Chicago working the streets to get those votes out that helped President Clinton. Thanks can go so far back in peoples lives.
Plus, I know from friends that POB had already made personal thank yous to the likes of President Clinton and others. That is who President Barack Obama is as a decent and grateful person. Tweety needs to stop and watch closely how POB carries himself as a man and as POTUS. If there is a “Thank You,” to be made, you can count on it that POB has already made that call or personal in person contact.
I refuse to allow Tweety and Eddie ride President Obama in his second term. We are supporters here, and we will respectfully call these people out from the get go when they start this complaining about POB. Let us put them on notice.
Another Big Thank You to our wonderful and beautiful brilliant Chips!!!!!!! We love you Chips. You give so many here so much joy daily. Thanks for All that you do for us.((((((((((( We love you))))))))))))HZ
((((we love you too HZ)))))
CBS live at the WH
Motorcade. Do we still get to see arrival at White House?
It would appear so.
Now the cameras are at the WH waiting for our First Family’s arrival!!!
Obama campaign spending: $923M. Democratic SuperPACs: $100M. Defeating lies, racism, misogyny, homophobia and voter suppression: Priceless— The Daily Edge (@TheDailyEdge) November 07, 2012
I just looked at my credit card stmt and it was money well spent.
Yup – every penny was worth it!
Yes indeed Jojothecat! My contribution to re-elect President Obama was worth ever penny. I gave twice as much this time around than I did in 2008 and I am proud of it. The only thing I am disappointed about is that one of my candidate for the Senate, Dr Rich Carmona of AZ, came up short.
I am a disabled individual with MS, but I took a part time job for the first time in 7 years just so I could have extra money to donate to the Obama campaign. My only regret is that I wish I could have donated more lol. Every penny well spent. I just looked at the FEC filings for the campaigns, and it is something to see our small donations compared to Mitt’s big donor donations. http://www.fec.gov/disclosurep/pnational.do
Bless you Obamacrat!
Yes indeed, bless you Obamcrat. Your sacrifice will make a difference for you as well as other disabled people, seniors on low fixed incomes, students, single moms and those that really needs this president to fix things and keep the country on the same path. I am so proud of you and Thank You.
Thank you so much. You have been such a bright light…
You rock yourself rikyrah!!! Will be back soon!
I have always loved numbers ….
Obama's margins in 9 battlegrounds ranged from 0.6 in FL to 8.5 in MI (HELLO, MITT!) and averaged out to 4.9. 5 of 9 OVER 5.0. HUGE win— Bonnie Hussein Obama (@BJHare) November 07, 2012
Amazing! By the way, Bob, has Florida been called yet? I have not been near a TV.
you have to wonder if folks know that they are in camera view….i hope she does not do anything embarassing
ok…now i am getting annoyed…these folks are blocking my view!!!!!!!…grrrrrrrrr
I just hope she moves from the camera when the FF arrives.
they heard me…
Did anyone see any video from PBO visit at the campaign HQ in Chicago today? I saw Axe on TV earlier and he said that it was very moving. I hope we’ll get it.
Mark Knoller, of all people, posted a tweet of President Obama giving a bear hug to Jim Messina at the headquarters, with all the staff applauding. It was heartfelt and sweet.

Love the Washington Monument lit in BLUE
Sirens getting louder
Wah! I missed it, I hope its on that twit tweety’s show and thats the only part I’ll watch
They haven’t arrived at the WH yet …. happening now … CNN and CBS live feeds …
Oh my, I see the motorcade rolling up in the distance!
Rep. Ron Barber (D-Ariz.), in the seat once held by former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D), is narrowly trailing his opponent Martha McSally by a little more than 1,000 votes.
Maybe he should challenge that? At ant rate, that’s to bad!
Okay here they come!!!
there they are
Oh my…that was fast! They just zoomed by – but glad to see that they’re home safe and sound
Welp, that was quick. But they all looked great as they walked in the door and they’re home safe, so good!
The Obama`s daughters are going to spend the majority of their formative years in the White House. Wow
i was thinking that too…
Yes, we will see Malia going off to college, Sasha will be entering high school and President and Mrs Obama settling into a new routine of being private citizens.
So the First Family are back home for 4 More Years. Man that sound good. 4 More Years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are home; inside, safe and sound. Looks like snow was falling? I hope the chef fixes them some hot soup and sends it up to the family quarters!
Dear @JohnKerry when you get a chance please inform Sen McConnell that he failed & that we also know how much harm he's done to America. TY— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) November 08, 2012
Looks like Milwaukee was determined to bring Wi. home for Obama. 87%!
RT @maddow: In 08 voter turnout in Milwaukee was a huge 80.3%. his year: 87%. Dang. is.gd/wplhr7 |Wow! Wish it were so everywhere— (@GottaLaff) November 07, 2012
They’ve been pissed since the repubs started all their union busting and power grabbing there. They were not going to sit this election out. Not no way, not no how.
I am glad Wisconsin sent a message to Romney and Ryan about their anti-union and anti public sector workers policies. Walker may have survived a recall but I don’t think he will be re-elected in 2014.
Just getting home after a long day at work with 3 1/2 hrs sleep last night. My whole office was in an elated mood. It was really sweet.
I’ve been in torture not being able to see all the final numbers roll in. Can’t believe Fla still isn’t called. Scratch that! I DO believe it.
Now we have to go after the media punditry with all guns blazing and no letting up. We really have to clean them up and as PBO says, the power is ours.
Okay now to spend the next few hours catching up on all I’ve missed.
ChipsChica, I love your new sidebar contents. Noticed the minute I got on here. From the looks of all the posts I missed, you have not had chance to rest yet. LOL You are our enabler
beautiful! hate lost, america won–thank you martin for your ‘eloquence’ through it all!
TY @MartinBashir for being so forthright & empathetic. Yes, HATE lost. The 'Real America' crushed it & re-elected an exceptional President.— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) November 08, 2012
He’s certainly on point! Loved his keen analysis and biting wit throughout this campaign.
All I see is what appears to be a snowstorm! Is it snowing in DC? yikes!
Happy days. I’m looking forward to the next four years.

Inside Gallup’s Epic Fail
I’ve been wanting to challenge the fallacy of demographics as the key to understanding what happened. Yes, Gallup failed epically, and yes demographics probably played a role in states like CA, NV, CO, VA and FL. But the fact of the matter is that President Obama won states that are predominantly white and lost badly in states that have the highest percentage of African American voters. Somebody needs to explain to me how President Obama was able to win big in VT, ME, MA, NH, WA, OR, MN, IA, without the overwhelming support of white voters? Although non white votes played a big role, I doubt that the President would have won: NY, NJ, MD, CA, CO, NV, NM, IL, MI, WI, OH and VA. without 40-50% of the white votes. None of these states have more than 15% of the AA population. By contrast, states like MS, SC, GA, AL, LA, African Americans make up between 30-20% of the population; yet the President badly lost these states.
The media needs to be honest. The problem is not white voters throughout the United States. The problem is with white voters in the former Confederate states and some parts of the west (may be some were settled by former Southerners) like Oklahoma, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska and the Dakotas. The vast majority of whites in the North East and Pacific West voted for President. Likewise a substantial majority of whites in the Mid West voted for the President. The problem is that the overwhelming majority of white southerners, who are so invested in white supremacy, voted against the President.
RT And, just look how much smarter an investor you are than the Kochs & Adelson @billmaher: Well that was a million dollars well spent.— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) November 08, 2012
I really wish the DCCC would back off of fundraising for just 5 minutes. I swear I am getting absolutely bombarded with email from them. It’s nearly constant!
The more money they can raise while people are paying attention, the less these politicians need to spend their time fundraising in Washington – and some of them may be in debt. But, I agree with you – I’m donation-weary.
I totally understand the rationale, but it is a bit much. In the span of time since I’ve written that post, I’ve gotten 3 more.
Yeah – they’re pretty aggressive. They were calling me about seven times per day in those last weeks. When I picked up one time, the guy just wouldn’t take “no” for an answer, even though I’d made a pretty hefty donation just a few days before. Oh well!
Wowzers! Well, I should stop complaining now.
I only got calls a couple of OFA calls throughout the whole campaign (although guess they didn’t need to call me much, cuz I was friggin sending something practically every week). Also heard from Alan Grayson & Tammy Duckworth’s people once each after I sent them a couple of bucks. But that’s pretty much.
Email, however, is pretty much drowning in donation requests – still. I might’ve even missed some important messages, bcz I spent so much time deleting stuff, I didn’t bother reading a lot of them.
I live in California, and all the calls were from donations. I didn’t mind so much, until the last aggressive one. I haven’t received a single call today – and haven’t checked my email to see if there are more requests. I have a standing donation with them, too. At this point, I just choose not to pick up.
I understand the frustration because I got bombarded by fund raising requests from who was who in the Democratic party. On the other hand, I also understand the forces of moneyed people that they have to go against.
sort of irritating, isn’t it. i guess they feel the momentum, and i’m sure there are bills to pay, but i’d hope for a few days respite from the political emails.
Hint: unsubscribe. You can always go back later. I very much needed a break.
Dear Chips, TOD Family.
What a ride. What a fantastic ride. Last night the American people rejected hate, lies, money machines beyond anything we have seen and saw a good and decent man for what he truly is.
Wow. I am honored to be a part of this family right here.
.@BarackObama, The American President: bit.ly/QpoNvL I couldn't be more proud of him #FORWARD— Dudette (@Dudette9t9) November 08, 2012
I loved the last line of this article. So true. That’s the best part!
“… And one felt something tectonic shift tonight. America crossed the Rubicon of every citizen’s access to healthcare, and re-elected a black president in a truly tough economic climate. The shift toward gay equality is now irreversible. The end of prohibition of marijuana is in sight. Women, in particular, moved this nation forward – pragmatically, provisionally, sensibly. They did so alongside the young whose dedication to voting was actually greater this time than in 2008, the Latino voters who have made the current GOP irrelevant, and African-Americans, who turned up in vast numbers, as in 2008, to put a period at the end of an important sentence.
That sentence will never now be unwritten. By anyone. “
President Obama will own his legacy. No charlatan will be allowed to claim credit for it.
That’s exactly right! Obama Care , tough Wall Street reforms, Student Loans reforms, etc., etc, are all here to stay.
And—-wrecking a lot of peoples’ talking points, including multiple pundits, President Obama got basically the same percentage of white voters as did Kerry and Gore. (39%)
The makeup of Obama voters this time was 56% white, 24% black, 14% Latino, 4% Asian, 2% other.
HA! Love that!!
The question is: What was the make up of voters in each of the states that President Obama won? I am sure that in VT, white voters who voted for President Obama were more than 56% of the vote and both Black and Latino voters made up less than 24% and 14%, respectively, of the VT voters. And, while the make up of Latino voters in CA, NV, CO, and NM was probably higher than 14%. the AA population in these states is less than 10% I am also sure that the make up of Black voters who made it possible for him to win Washington, Oregon, Iowa, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maine, Wisconsin, etc. were far much less than 24% black and less than 14% Latino. My bottom line is that if it weren’t for the combined White votes, African American votes, Latino/Hispanic votes, Asian votes, and the votes of others who chose not identify by race, President Obama would not have been elected or re-elected. I am sure African Americans in MS, AL, GA, LA, SC, NC, TX, KY, and AR, voted 90-100% for the President. Yet, the President lost those states badly. Other than D.C., the states where the president won 55% or more votes are predominantly majority white states with the non white population making up less than 10% of the electorate.
I am sorry, but I find these statistics about the white vote meaningless when they not put in context, I see this preoccupation with white voters and demographics as yet another attempt to deny President Obama legitimacy. I bet you if you look at the states that gave President Obama the Electoral Votes necessary to be elected President, the percentage of African American and Latino voters would be much lower than 24% and 14% respectively. Again, I don’t think Black and Latino voters made up 38% of the electorate in VT, RI, ME, CT, MA, IA, WI, MI, CO, WA, OR, etc., etc.,

AP VIDEO: A nor'easter strikes New York and New Jersey as people continue to recover from Superstorm #Sandy: apne.ws/Z1SROc -CJ— The Associated Press (@AP) November 08, 2012
From the White House: “This morning, the President received an update from the National Weather Service on the high winds, rain, snow and cold temperatures associated with the coastal low that’s bearing down on the Northeast. The President also convened a conference call with Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate, Assistant to the President for Homeland Security John Brennan and Deputy Chief of Staff Alyssa Mastromonaco. The President heard from his team about the federal resources, personnel and expertise being used to support state and local recovery efforts in the wake of Sandy, including efforts to take additional steps to support preparedness efforts ahead of the severe weather. At the requests of New York and New Jersey, FEMA continues to deliver commodities including food, water, blankets, generators and others resources to distribution points across the region impacted by Sandy, and FEMA continues to pre-position additional resources and supplies to ensure they are in place if needed by our state and local partners to respond to the coastal low. The President was also updated on efforts to coordinate with state and local officials on emergency housing needs and long term housing problems caused by the storm. He was also briefed on the ongoing efforts to improve access to gasoline and restore electricity in communities impacted by Sandy. Given the bad weather conditions caused by the coastal low, the President closed the call by expressing his concern for the safety of people who live in communities damaged by Sandy as well as the first responders, relief workers and utility crews who are working round-the-clock to help those communities recover.”
It never ends. Never pauses.
This is the last thing the people of New York and New Jersey need.
Keep them in our thoughts and prayers.
Well, here’s an interesting election tidbit:
Roseanne Places Fifth in Election
Outspoken former sitcom star Roseanne Barr’s initial bid for president may have been met with laughs, but the comedienne actually managed to finish in fifth place in the race for the White House. Barr won 48,797 votes, besting former Salt Lake City mayor Rocky Anderson by nearly 15,000 votes. Barr and her running mate, Cindy Sheehan, ran on the Peace and Freedom ticket, with a platform that included marijuana legalization, environmental preservation, and equal rights. She may have lost in the end, but she tweeted her satisfaction with Obama’s victory: “CONGRATULATIONS OBAMA! #barr2016.”
At least she was gracious in defeat. I can’t believe those 48,797 people wasted their votes though – if the margin of victory had been that narrow and the result different than what happened, then that would have been horrific!
Yep, I agree.
It would sound better and show alittle respect if Ms. Barr had tweeted Congratulations President Obama.
True. Especially since she was a “contender”. He’s the President – there’s nothing they can do now to take that away from him, and so all their slights are just rolling off (for today). These people won’t make it into the history books, other than just a sentence about the riff-raff who opposed the president. See Lincoln’s detractors…. Nobody knows their names, just that there were some idiots who made hateful comments about him.
Look at this live feed-
I love the idea that President Obama and his family will be in that house for another four years. It’s brilliant!
Another SWEET election victory!

I thought the whole confetti moment was really stunning. There was so much of it and the blend of color was so perfect that it became a thick pink cloud.
It looks like stars in the sky.
i loved the dems party!!!
here’s a tale of a different gathering:
‘ Over in Chicago, the Obama campaign had invited 10,000 to fill the floor of the McCormick Place convention center. But here in Boston, Mitt Romney favored a more genteel soiree for an exclusive crowd.
Romney’s election-night event was in a ballroom at the Boston Exhibition and Convention Center that could accommodate a few hundred. Most men wore jacket and tie; women donned dresses and heels. Secret Service agents blocked reporters from mixing with the Romney supporters as they sipped cocktails and nibbled canapes.
Outside the ballroom, waiters in black tie tended bar, and Jumbotrons showed the election results on Fox News. Downstairs, Romney’s big donors assembled in private rooms for finer fare; guards admitted only those whose credentials said “National Finance Committee.”
Romney had spent nearly two years, and hundreds of millions of dollars, trying to convince Americans that he wasn’t an out-of-touch millionaire unconcerned about the little people — that he was more than a caricature who liked to fire people, who didn’t care about the very poor or the 47 percent who pay no income tax, who has friends who own NASCAR teams.
On the final flight of his campaign Tuesday afternoon, Romney ventured to the back of his plane for a chat with reporters and discovered that — horrors! — the poor wretches were seated in coach accommodations.
“I thought you had bigger seats back here,” he told them.
Fortunately, this discovery did not distract the Republican nominee from making some salient points before rejoining aides at the front of the plane: his lack of regrets (“I’m very proud”), his delight at the crowds (“When you have 10,000 people cheering you, you get a real boost”), his confidence (“I just finished writing a victory speech”) and how he would reward himself in victory.
“Assuming I win, one of the benefits is . . . to get another Weimaraner,” he disclosed when asked about puppy rumors.
So, one of his first gestures as president-elect would be to purchase a pricey hunting dog once bred by European royalty?
In that sense, Romney’s election-night celebration was a fitting coda to his presidential bid: It abandoned any pretense of being a campaign for the common man. ‘
To the very end, he was an elitist. Anyone not in the top 2% or part of the Mormon church is crazy to think that Romney was concerned about their well-being. someone posted earlier that their friend was concerned about President Obama’s win because their credit rating had been decreased – and I just thought – so why does she think Romney cares about her?
That is so disturbing on so many levels. Folks we really dodged a bullet and President Obama was not having it…he was not letting America be lead by this guy. He saw up close what GWB and his goons did and was not going to let it happen and neither was Bill Clinton. He knew what these people were capable of and it was frightening to them.
Me likey this cartoon beddy, beddy much!!

Just heard this awhile ago from my friend regarding Florida – the only state still showing YELLOW.
The new name is FLORI-D-U-H (Floriduh)
Those poor people had a ten page ballot…….that should be against the law. The electorate needs to send a message to the Gov and Sec of State that this kind of crap is ridiculous.
Thought this was fun——about Obama’s pick-up bball game yesterday. Obama got lucky—:) and got former Bulls star Scottie Pippen on his team—–they won! Pippen was laughing about how the lane opened wider for Obama than it used to for Michael Jordan—–didn’t want him getting a fat lip for his victory speech last night. Michelle’s bro there also, coaching, I believe. Pippen described Obama’s game as “smooth” —–which is a familiar adjective when it comes to everything Obama.
Scottie Pippen says he sees some of Michael Jordan's skills in President Obama: "He's got a smooth game …" es.pn/RjcmOV— (@SportsCenter) November 08, 2012
He most definitely has game and a smooth one at that. Yes, yes, yes! Heh, heh, heh!
Hey, I haven’t been on the naughty mat in a while, might as well get reacquainted
I think I might build myself a little naughty house, since the President’s swagger is probably going to send me to that corner fairly often. I might as well be comfy!
You’re gonna want some company. I’m happy to be your posse.
You’re very welcome – I’ll add an extra room for you!
Bwwaahaa!! Yeah, that’s it. A whole naughty mat complex.
The more the merrier!
yeah, we can warm ‘em up before the inauguration, when president gorgeous will be in a tux again!
Maybe they’ll do a big holiday soiree before they head to Hawaii for Christmas.
Bwaaahaaaaa! There you hens go again. I’m gonna have to start up the ice making machine again to cool off you and them steamy naughty mats.
Yes, “smooth” is a perfect descriptor for President Obama!
A good complement for the President coming from a great player like Scottie Pippen. I use to follow the Bulls when Jordon and Pippen was playing. They were my NBA team then.
PBO’s Second Term Cabinet; would be fun to see Granholm in the cabinet. She makes me smile:))
NOOOO!!!! I don’t want anyone to go! where the hell is Ken Salazar going, and LaHood?! Don’t leave! We love you!
Very seldom Cabinet members last two terms. All of the current ones have had to put up with a lot and deserve not only our thanks and appreciation but the opportunity to move on with their lives.
So lisa, we are still waiting for the fat lady to sing ?

Yes, murkan pesos.
Suuuuuuuuure…….murkan pesos. Mexico is beside America so I guess you could say that that they are murkan pesos……. Erm, amk. Don’t tell nobody bout dem murkan pesos. it’s just between you and me, okay? So how’d you want dem pesos?

What?! You don’t trust me?! I’m insulted pops! …….
Nah. I need it for framing it and hanging it in my office. It would be awesome if you can slip in ‘amk’ somewhere in there.
Hahahahahahaha hahahahahahaha!!! Okay, pops! I gotcha!
Reading that puppy with the side-eye, Melanie. It is afterall from PolitiGOP.
My question: Exactly WHO is “expecting” them to go other than the author?
Hillary’s said she’s tired and most certainly has a well-deserved rest due her, but has anyone heard about the others wanting to go?
I could imagine Geithner’s had enough of the beatings and maybe Lisa Jackson. But I’d like to see her stay since (I hope) some serious work on climate change is coming up in this next term.
Panetta needs to keep his butt right where he is until we’re out of Afghanistan!!
No way Eric Holder should leave. He’s our sherriff. We need him to STAY!
As for LaHood, Chu, and Salazaar — Hope they stay too, but won’t be heartbroken if they decide they want to do something else.
I agree with your assessments. Geithner especially – he must be exhausted, along with Hillary! Remember in those early days, Geithner was on his own trying to keep the economic world from imploding into recession! And being constantly attacked by Arianna Huffington. He deserves a high paying job with little work – a rest!
Steven Chu is awesome! Best cabinet member we have, no question about it!
Geithner is not leaving.
LaHood has already said that he will leave at the end of this term. Geithner had in mind to move on last year, but President Obama convinced him to stay because it would be so hard to get a replacement confirmed in the Senate. Chu said that it was between him and the President when asked. Lisa Jackson said she was definitely staying.
This is just DC insiders–they like to speculate on everything. They do not need anything to base it one. Fun and games for them.
She definetly has the bona-fides.
Oh boy here comes big Ed… LMAO!
I’m betting his “cell phone” question will be:
Will the president be able to work with the Republicans in congress (or something along those lines)!!
okay here was the actual question:
Is PBO’s re-election a victory for the middle-class?
Ed has got to be kidding with that question! So ridiculous. Can they give us one day of celebration without nonsense? Why wasn’t his silly question about Romney, before we erase him from the public scene. I saw a tweet earlier today about holding President Obama’s feet to the fire… I just shook my head.
Fuck these firebaggers. The President got a mandate and he will use it wisely as he deems fit for all americans.
Welcome back home, Mr President & First Family.
This guy, Drew Linzer of VOTAMATIC (love that name), seems to have been better than Silver & Wang in predicting the awesome outcome. And he had NC so close and his EV count is spot on (provided of course, the friggin FL would move its ass). Look at his steady EV graph right from June.
Good morning, amk! Why didn’t all these predictors come out of the woodwork when Nate was under attack to support his predictions?
Mornin’ amk! That’s a new one — heard nothing about or from this guy.
Did you see this graphic? Roll your mouse over the darts.

Silver waffled a bit and split down FL right down the middle and came up with 313 in the end. I would say Drew was spot on and has been spot on for months.
Everybody who won last night in NH was a Female!
Hi jovie. Any news on FL result?
Something is not right here! Just remember I said that.
“We may be just as idiotic this time, but it doesn’t matter because no one is watching,” Gordon said. “Last time, we held up the entire country.”
Yup. I am sorry jovie that all your hard work had to come to this. But I don’t think they can steal it this time. Not with PBO team on standby.
Mitt lost his home state of MA by 23, his other home state of CA by 20, and his other home state of MI by 9. Everybody hates Mitt! #p2— Steve Weinstein (@steveweinstein) November 08, 2012

#YouCantMakeThisShitUp George Bush Accidently Votes For Obama dailycurrant.com/2012/11/06/geo…— Tally Briggs (@bardgal) November 08, 2012
actually – they did… which is still hilarious.
I was gonna say “no way” that’s gotta be a joke, but I’ll be damned it’s REAL.
LOL! That is the funniest thing I’ve heard ALL DAY!
It’s a joke. But the fact it’s so easily believed, makes it HILARIOUS.
have mercy!! i had not seen it, and i’m frankly unsure it’s not a joke–but a truly excellent joke!
‘ Bush sought to minimize the damage:
“Yes unfortunately because of the incompetence of the folks who designed the ballot, my vote counted for the other guy,” Bush responded. He then attempted to explain exactly how the mishap occurred:
“First of all, everything was very mismaladjusted on the screen. You shouldn’t put the senators and the congresspeople and the presidents all jumbled together like that. It’s too crowded. Just confuses folks.” ‘
It’s a joke. But an AWESOME ONE.
what made it believable was the word ‘mismaladjusted’–that has the ring of a true shrubism.
What makes it so awesome is it’s TOTALLY believable.
Wink, wink people — http://dailycurrant.com/about/
A HUGE thank-you to all our Floridians who stood in 8-9 hour lines!!!
Bravo!! They would NOT be denied! Outstanding citizens!
Shame they’re stuck with that criminal governor. We Georgia Dems truly feel their pain.
Yes, they should be voted the “PEOPLE OF THE YEAR” by Time Magazine.
Romney’s Transition Site
It appears Mitt Romney’s campaign prepared a transition site in the event that he won.
Here are screenshots in case the site is taken down:
He really thought he had this thing in the bag.
we listenend to a few bits of his concession speech (couldn’t stand much of the voice) last night, and my husband said ‘ sounds like he changed a few words from the acceptance speech and just read that one.’ truly, the puke was lecturing us after he lost, like he was somebody whose words mattered! he sooo thought the presidency was his!!
Thanks for that!!! Twitter has been notified. Hilarity shaming commencing in 3… 2… 1…
The U.S. Mission to the United Nations helped move a controversial arms trade treaty on Wednesday, less than 24 hours after President Obama won reelection.
The Obama administration was widely blamed by treaty advocates for derailing the effort back in July when it asked for more time amid growing opposition from Republicans and pro-gun-rights Democrats who are worried the treaty would affect the sale of civilian weapons in the United States. Fifty senators — including eight Democrats — signed on to a letter at the time signaling their opposition to the treaty.
The treaty sailed through the General Assembly’s disarmament committee on Wednesday, with the United States joining 156 other countries in voting to finalize the treaty in March. Russia was the only major arms exporter to vote against.
“This is an opportune moment for all countries to get behind this life-saving treaty to prevent needless suffering worldwide from the unregulated flow of illegal arms,” Amnesty International USA executive director Suzanne Nossel said in a statement.

I decided to take the opposite route to Axe and his mooooostache-shaving promise. Now that PBO has won I’m keeping my beard, I think it’s highly attractive.
I should say it’s a much better improvement on your green hair.
Thanks very much.

HA!! WTB edit button. Thank you. I haz a big tired today.
The only time this a$$^^^ ever planned anything was for his faux victory because everyone on faux noise told him he was going to win in a landslide based on NO PROOF he was going to win. This guy is so used to delegating things to “managers” thinking he didn’t have to lift a finger and he would get the Presidency…..FAKE! Welcome to reality Mitt! You gotta have some brains and skin in the game and not act like King and Queen to be ushered into the position. Guess his GOP Govenors didn’t steal OH, FL, WI, and PA for him like he expected.
