Sigh. What a beautiful couple. I can’t wait until the inauguration. Sadly, I have to work. Thanks for the great picture, Chips, you are awesome as usual :)
Betsy, I agree. I can’t wait for the Inauguration either, will we have the first dance? If so I am wondering who will sing.
The song has to be ‘Let’s Stay Together’, surely?! And the singer. Well, it has to be PBO!
Chips, that’s a brilliant idea!!! But I will be ok with Al singing, so PBO can dance with Mrs. O! I LOVE IT!!!
How about Stevie Wonder? You know I think when Barack and Michelle got married I believe their first dance was to Stevie’s “You and I”. Stevie can sing that, just a thought.
swoooon . . . . there’s no way I’m working that day even though I understand some folks do not have a choice. of course my dream is to actually go to DC and watch the inauguration live but I’m still trying to figure if that’s feasible. I plan to be glued to the Internet. I might even invest in cable just for that month.
The inauguration falls on Dr. King’s Holiday and I have the day off so I’ll be right here with Chipsticks and my boxes of Kleenex
Just Simply LOVELY!
Top 10 you betcha!
Third ain’t bad in the grand scheme of things. :-)
Thanks, bue we should share the picture.
I”M DOWN WITH THAT. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure :D
It’s a three-way tie. Congratulations Betsey, PFWHI and Cap’n yardarm.
What the h*ll Betsy, you on chips LAN now????
From the looks of the date, the cartoon is from overseas somewhere? Pretty good, Chips!
What’s a nirst? :) Kidding:)
:) :) That’s a term I invented to mean when you want to say that you’re first but not quite sure.
Three-way tie. I am in CA. Where are you two from?
Hey Chipsticks – where are the Clooney pics……..(tapping my foot with my hand on my hip!!!)
Yeah! Where ARE those Clooney pics??? Good question, GGail!
Hi GGail, I’m afraid I can’t post more than one of the photos here, I’m under contract now to PhantasticPics Inc, but here’s one just to give you a flavor – I think it was my best profile pic of the day:
Gip! I want my money back….Oh wait….
 You get a FULL refund LunarSea!
I was afraid of that!
You post a pic of Clooney from The Descendants movie and claim you’ve been on a photo shoot with him? Seriously. I am calling you out. :D
That is a bloody marvelous picture. Perfect in every way.
PantasticPics Inc – HA! is that a Karl Rove subsidiary? ROFL!!!!!
That pic is from one of his last movies…..your lack of rest is causing you to…..not tell the whole truth and nothing but the TRUTH!
Well, that hurts GGail. You’re calling me a liar?
Okay, as proof I was snapping Georgie today (he asked me to call him Georgie), here’s another photo from our session:
It took me hours to get him out of the suit.
Oh Chipsticks…..that picture sends me to the Naughty Mat (my eyes are transfixed just below the….)
What were we talking about?????
I know GGail, I know – that belt is awesome!
You – you – you!!!!???@@@@@@!!!!!!!!!
Oh Chips! This pic is below the belt!
Lisa, when I try to scroll up to see other comments, my screen freezes and doesn’t seem to move above the belt!!!!
 Another gremlin GGail!!!!
yeah right….gremlin – more like a minx than a gremlin :D
Hahahahahahahahahahhahhahahahahahahaha!!!! I know right! Chips is sooooo wrong! How could she do this tos, right after posting a wet t-shirt pic of PBO. Gah!!!
You and GGail are a DISGRACE!
Riiiiiight, Chips. You are a total innocent in this matter……… Hm!
Thanks Lisa, yes I am.
Ha! …………. The rest is too impolite to write on a public blog.
Thanks Lisa for defending us!
She’s too much! What’s worse is how innocent she plays afterwards. Innocent my tush! :mutter: :mutter: :mutter:
I have NO idea what you’re talking about Lisa!!
I’m all shook up now…..must….go….lay….down
holy moly ChipsChica LMAO
Oh, MAMA! Latex! Is that a codpiece, or is he happy to see me?
Oh no, what have I done?
I have tears streaming down my face laughing at you Chipsticks!!!!!
:) Made me happy??
You, Ms Chips, are incorrigible! ;) ;) Must say I like the composition of this pic though.
Thanks VC, I think I’ve really mastered my art.
Yep, you’ve certainly mastered something, Ms Chips!
Thanks VC – your respect is appreciated.
Speaking of blast furnace hot humans, I beheld a latina activist…..pundit, scholar…not sure what exactly named Lili Gil Valleta. OUCH. Smart as h*ll too.
………………….on the damn TV i mean.
 I was about to ask for details about your meeting!
Found her via Google, and she’s indeed beauty. Has a beautiful husband, too.
Wow, yes Joan, a truly stunning couple!
What is PBO doing? I’m not used to the non-campaign mode yet. I need to see him everyday! LOL.
I know, right? Alas, he had no public events today, so I guess he’s resting and taking care of stuff for his presser on Wednesday.
Ironic isn’t it? I said I’d be glad when the campaign is over … I like it best when he is in the White House, Joe Biden at his side, Michelle and the girls upstairs … and yet, what? Just a couple of days and it’s like … ok, where is he? What is he doing? Seriously, I hope he is resting, planning (all the wonderful things he wants to do for us), plotting (taking down the MSM and the GOP) and playing basketball + petting Bo and loving on the family.
Probably just running the country. Quite restful.
I think today he was meeting with progressives and labor. Tomorrow he meets with business types. Probably trying to gauge how they’re seeing things going forward.
Did you see that labor guy (Steel worker) on Ed tonight? He said that labor really needs to have our President’s back during this deficit reduction debate, and that they should have been out in the streets when he was trying to get the stimulus, jobs bill and health care reform passed.
Good Evening TODobots! Happy Deepavali, Amk! Hope you and your family have a wonderful celebration.
I know the GOP and Fox News are in an abusive relationship but I'm just not sure which one is the victim.— (@LOLGOP) November 13, 2012
Goofy American people who listen to them?
The term ” Circle Jerk” seems to be appropriate here.
Well, I dunno about “appropriate,” but I think all of us here think it fits.
Reminds me of the words in that old country tune, ” … may the circle be unbroken.” Ha!
You got it. Now Slide Left!
Funny how you know the terminology. (Just kidding.) (No, really.) :)
Gross. I just got a mental flash on KKK Rove pulling on Sean Hannity’s 2 inch stub. Yuck!
haha, that’s funny.

Brought over from the last thread.
Once again inquiring minds want to know, what has happened to ‘Rinse Privates’?
He caught a touch of the clap!
Oh heavens, an STD? How’d that happen? Did he sit on something or put something nasty in his mouth?
HA HA HA
Naughty naughty Jovie
Hanging out with Boner.
Holding my nose.
Michael Steele said this morning on C-SPAN that he might run against him for Chairman of the RNC.
One blivit for another blivit.
He said he’d not rule out running for political office again. Then two people called in supporting his efforts at the RNC and were none too pleased about how he was treated. He didn’t say he’d run for the RNC again, he said if Rinse wants to run again that’s on him. There is no love lost between Steele and the RNC darlings. Last time I saw Rinse he was smirking about how being from Wisconsin along with Ryan would seal the deal.
I am not a fan of Michael Steele, but facts are facts. Under his chairmanship the GOP took over the U.S. House Of Representatives, increased their numbers in the U. S. Senate and won governorship races in many battleground states (e.g. Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Florida and Nevada). Under “Rinse Privates,” the Republican party lost the presidency and lost seats both in the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives. It turns out that for the GOP the black guy was better than the white guy.
Michael Grebe (sp?) thought his bought and paid for “boys”, ‘Rinse’ :-), Walker and Ryan would bring ‘it’ home…at least win Wisconsin. Steele wasn’t even invited to the convention…I don’t understand how in the world he continues to be in that party, let alone a talking head!
I associate this with the abused spouse syndrome. Michael Steele still craves the love and acceptance of the GOP despite all the abuse he has had to endure from the party that totally used and disrespected him.
He’s busy rinsing his privates of all the crabs he got over on FAUX.
A never ending job I’d say.
Love the cartoon, Chips. President Obama is so good natured! Ha!
Yes, where are the Clooney pictures! On another note. Does anyone know of any contest anywhere where the prize is two tickets to an inaugural ball? Just wishing. By the way, who is going to D.C. for the 21st. I think we should all get together at a bar. We will recognize each other by wearing an Obama pin and carrying a copy of “The Audacity of Hope.” Let me know!
LMAO if it weren’t so funny I might say it was cruel.
I’m on to your game ChipsChica ! One minute the solemn veteran’s day observances, then the naughty mat wet pres pic, now this hilarious cartoon!
Trying your best to continue our roller coaster ride of the final days of the campaign by playing all our emotions I see!

Good evening (in EST) Chips and TOD family and lurkers.
My last time speaking of those who shall not be named: I just cannot get over all that I have been reading about how they are their supporters were so stunned by their huge loss. The self- delusion showed that they lived in an alternate universe of their own making and wish fulfillment. I have never seen the like outside of cults. Sheesh,
Cults? Uh, almost.
I said repeatedly during the final weeks that the more they believed it the higher it took them the harder they’d fall.
That is, I think, one of the main sources of all this gloating. The lies, the pompous attitudes, the dismissiveness of the 47% and more.
But the biggest irony of their loss is what did them in was the numbers. They REALLY are NOT very good at math.
Rate on return of ad $$ -#mathfail
didn’t think could increase AA turnout – #mathfail
purging voters without comparing to new voters registered – #mathfail
failing to count union voting numbers – #mathfail
LyningRyan budget – #mathfail
tax breaks for wealthy and deficit reduction – #mathfail
and the list goes on! So in the future when our children’s children ask us about the demise of fabled once great and powerful republican party we’ll regale them with tales of deceptions, lie, media collusions & unhealthy alliances.Bbut mostly we’ll tell them how important it is that they stay in school and pay attention, because what ultimately did the GOP in was…..math!
Okay not sure how this wound up as a reply but hey, it’s all good

Everyone loves a winner! One of the more interesting aspects of the American psyche is this desire for a fighter while at the same time saying they want bipartianship between the parties. If I remember correctly, PBO’s approval rating started going up–after hitting the low point in the summer of 2011 with the debt ceiling debacle–when he started fighting back against the GOP. Similarly, they obviously wanted to see the fighting PBO in the debates. I hope he remembers that.
On a totally frivolous note, can’t wait to see FLOTUS inaugural gown this time around. While her white one the first time around seemed fitting it was not to my taste. My sense in watching her the last four years is that she has gone for a sleeker more elegant look for formal wear in the last couple of years so it will be fascinating to see what she chooses this time around.
And I am thrilled to see that PBO is taking his fiscal cliff campaign on the road after Thanksgiving. Will give us all a chance to get involved again. And BTW, I swear I hate the GOP more every day. Cannot believe that Lindsay Graham is comparing Benghazi to the Iran Contra and 9/11 investigations. Dream on you jerk!!!!!!
Iran contra and 9/11 investigations were all due to Republican failures and corruption. President Obama is not in that company, they have one of their own Petraeus a big failure for his lack of judgement and emotional controll and who knows what else.
What color do you think?
how to shoot yourself in the foot, rethugs–yes, let’s talk about iran/contra and your sainted raygun.

73-26? That’s just an extraordinary figure, wonderful!
Ha. All my US pals and their families voted for the kenyan muslin except for one turncoat (he voted for O in ’08). We all pointed and laughed at him.
I know you had an influence on the Asian support for the President. Seriously, though, I think the racist tea bagger movement woke up people all over the country, including Asian Americans.
I happened to be one of them including every one of my asian friends.

Begone, Corbett, LePage, Scott, Kasich! They’ll be next.
We need to work to help make that happen.
I’m in. I’m guessing the DNC and Emily’s List and others will be starting up a campaign to do just that. And, in Florida, I’ll bet Charlie Crist’s former backers and the Florida Dems have already begun. Maybe it’s time to fill some of their shoes with … oh, let’s see … non-white men and a few good women? There’s a thought.
That’s cool as long as they put up any maggots like West and Bachmann.
Here’s a link to the website of the Democratic Governors Association, if anybody wants to start early, grabbing more stats and facts: http://democraticgovernors.org/

Definitely. Wouldn’t that be great?
And Brewer will be gone. She’s timed out:)
Wonderful. Will she be gone at the end of ’13?
OH YEAH….Happy dance, baby!
BTW, try not to let any RWNJs move to carve her face on a mountain out there. She really needs to wear some kind of face covering, in the interim, to keep the rest of us from catching any more closeup views of her mug.
We here in PA….will work to make that happen….
yeah, LePage got in as a fluke because the majority couldn’t decide between a good independent and a lousy dem candidate. By the time we got close to the election and ppl realized the dem was our own Coakley (from Mass who got Brown the win) it was too late. We had already gotten many to vote early for the dem and on voting day more went to the independent, thereby splitting the vote.
I thought our Dem candidate running to replace Snow -Dill- was really good & female, but Angus King was more widely known. Ppl were afraid of splitting the vote and giving the win to the NRA candidate so most voted for Angus. I have some reservations on him but he’s way better that what the split vote would’ve gotten us.
LePage won with 64% of the electorate voting AGAINST him. And boy but we don’t like him at all!

Amk, why the different spellings – Diwali/Deepavali? Just different languages?
India is more like eewrope. Different languages, different cultures. Diwali is north indian spelling and Deepavali is south indian. We southies more more cultured. :)
Ah, okay! So I can take it northern India is the more sophisticated part? /runs
Try more like sophistry than sophisticated.
Doesn’t PBO use “Diwali”?
Thought you “Southies” were like the ones here!

(Ooooooooh, brave Marlz!!)
Just as we are 180 degrees across the atlas, so are we 180 degrees apart from your southies.
Hi Amk, sent you wishes earlier for a good deepavali celebration with family! Have an enjoyable time.
Thanks vc. Just finished firing up some badass crackers. :)
Was son there keeping an eye on the old man to make sure he was handling the fire crackers safely? (i.e. is he home for a few days, and how has this first part of being away from home gone for him?)
Yup he is home, But daughter isn’t. She is studying for post graduate entrance exams.
Son warned me before I lit up that cracker, hey, dad, you sure you up to this ? Ha. Showed that kid.
Pity they timed daughter’s entrance exam around the holidays, but I suspect she’ll still get in a little celebration wherever she is as the entire country is involved. You didn’t show Son how not to set one off, did you?!! Good for sonny boy, keeping an eye on the old man! Time to acknowledge that the tables are turning, and pops is heading towards second childhood. /ducks away to safe ground/ ;)
what second childhood? Haven’t even finished the first one yet.
Indeed! There’s something in what you say!  I hereby take back my second childhood comment.
Happy Deepavali back atcha, amk!
Happy D to you amk. I’m too confused about the correct spelling to make an attempt. :-)
Thank you, amk, I hope it is a good day for you and your family!
Happy Deepavali/Diwali, AMK! I love South India.
Thanks nath. You should visit once.
Irish are not invited, especially the green ones with poor photographic skillz.
Happy Deepavali to you, amk! I hope I have this right: Deepavali Nalvazhthukal
Perfecto. Thanks, theo.

That looks even better! I have so many friends celebrating tomorrow/today – and the one festival of lights that I attended was just lovely. One of my favorite memories! Enjoy.
Obama considering John Kerry for job of defense secretary thkpr.gs/UDMqfK— ThinkProgress (@thinkprogress) November 13, 2012
Panetta retiring or returning to the CIA ??
Would that leave his seat open for Brown to try again in Massachusetts? Is there a viable Dem to replace him? Of course I wouldn’t deprive him of the job if he wants it, but it sure would be nice to know that his seat is safe.
Think somebody was mentioning last week that MA Gov. Deval Patrick was at the White House for a meeting, and there was speculation they were chattin’ him up to run for Sen. Kerry’s seat, if it opened up … but that was just speculation.
However, Deval did say this after his 2012 DNC Convention Speech, when asked if he’d run for President in 2016 (from Wiki): “Just chatter … I’m gonna finish my term [as governor] in 2014. I’m gonna return to the private sector where I’ve spent … most of my career.”
What about Gov Duval Patrick to run for MA Senate?
I would love to see that (or as Secretary of State). He’s always been a good soldier for Obama. Just never warmed up to Leon Panetta in the SECDEF role.
Me to, JO! Of course I wil respect any choices he makes because I know he will do it thoughtfully. If he picks Sen. John Kerry for Defense may be he can pick Gen. Wes Clark for SoS. UN ambassador Susan Rice would also be an excellent choice for SoS.
Agree! I totally respect any choices he makes. How lucky are we to be able to say that!
The downside is loss of senate seat. Me don’t likey. What if the poster boy decides make a run again ? Who is going the dem candidate for that seat? If he/she strong enough to retain the seat for us ? See ? A lot of questions.
That’s a potential downside. However, I think the political conditions now are at least somewhat, if not completely different from what they were in 2010. People in MA understand the importance of having a Democratic- controlled senate and are not about to pull a “2010.” after all the work they’ve done to re-elect this President and dump Scott Brown.
That would all depend on the dem bench. If it’s another coakley clone, it will be dicey. Any idea about our bench there ?
I have no clue what the bench is like. Elizabeth Warren’s primary challenger was Marissa de Franco whom I know little about. She’s described in this article here.
Now that is where OFA_MA comes in. To scout out candidates and get the good people of MA invested in keeping Kerry’s seat blue.
How about Gov Duval Patrick?
Hopefruit, what’s the law in MA in case Sen Kerry is picked for either SoS or SoD? Does the law require immediate elections or is there a window for Gov. Patrick to appoint a replacement until the 2014 elections? If there is that window that will give Democrats enough time to recruit a strong candidate.
Evening all, hope everyone is doing well….
I recently went by Obamafoodorama, and I’ve had the feeling lately, that the blogger has been more snide lately about the President. It’s weird, but every so often, I read a sentence and felt like it was used as an opportunity to ding the President.
i’ve stopped going to that site, but wasn’t sure if others felt the same…Normally I’m not one to get all defensive about writing. Totally get people have a right to opinions and have the right to rationally criticize the President or raise concerns, but for some reason I just don’t get any pleasure reading that site anymore…
Hmm, that’s interesting pinkbunny92. Haven’t been there for a while, but it’s usually a fantastic source of information – would be pretty miserable if they turned snide.
She’s a supporter but she definitely has her issues that she cares deeply about, mostly to do with food, nutrition and Dept of Agriculture policy. So she does occasionally speak out and she does sound critical. But overall, I think she is supportive of POTUS and especially FLOTUS because of her obesity campaign.
I think she’s more into and about Sam Kass than she is a ‘supporter’…
I know what you mean. Her food stamp post was very interesting.
I noticed that too, pinkbunny. I picked up on it much more after I read an article about the founder being a Republican:
I still go there once in a while, but not everyday like I used to.
Ah, very interesting Night Owl, never knew that.
She’s been pretty bad Chip…
She’s also very sneak into her posts some of the rather demeaning and mostly false narratives…
Not a very nice person and certainly not the sort of ‘supporter’ I’d want for me…
Thanks Chi, I didn’t know that at all, and knew nothing about her background. I honestly thought the site was ‘neutral’ – so much for that. Hope all’s good Chi and you’ve recovered from the celebrations!
Oh dear Chip, still recovering but absolutely deliriously joyous in my exhaustion…
But we still have so much work to do…
We can’t let up yet, our President still very much needs us and the hawks are still circling, so no rest…
Chi, absolutely agree, he’s never needed everyone’s support more, he can and will do amazing things (again) over the next four years, but he needs everyone to show as much heart and support for the cause as they did for the election. And I’ve honestly a feeling that’s precisely what will happen, I think people know what’s at stake. Great to hear from you, our hours mean we keep missing each other here!
Pinkbunny, I actually felt that she was a bit snarky a while back, and that she’d been more fair in her “reporting”, so I started reading her blog again. But, I have to admit, I probably have been on her site a total of seven times.
Petraeus and Broadwell used a well known “trick”, used by terrorists and teenagers, in a weak attempt to hide their emails. Head of CIA???
Here’s the e-mail trick Petraeus and Broadwell used to communicate washingtonpost.com/blogs/worldvie…— Pragmatic Obots (@PragmaticObot) November 13, 2012
Sounds more sordid about every few hours.
Ha ha what are they 16? Why couldn’t they just said what was needed in person? Why is it necessary to keep validating a extramarital relationship in print? Both parties knew the deal, why the written confirmation? If you’re so insecure that you need to read something from your lover, then you’re not ready for an affair. I say just get it on and do the do and save all of that feel good crap for your spouse.
These people spent too much time chasing after careers and fame, and not enough time nourishing their souls. Broadwell strikes me as a Type A, overachieving narcissist, with ZERO self-awareness. Patraeus is an old fool, like which there’s no fool.
like which there’s no shortage, either.
Apparently the FBI agent who was originally investigating this case got so personally involved he started sending shirtless pix of himself to the other other woman. He was eventually removed from the case. Oh this is mos def gonna be a movie. Smh.
Oh my god! Hahahahahahahahahahhahhahahahahahahaha!!! I’m so disgusted, all I can do is laugh at this point.
I think laughing is the best response to this story. I am sorry, but I refuse to take this salacious story seriously. People in NY, NJ, CT are still suffering from the devastation of Sandy and Athena. Millions of Americans are still unemployed. Racial and religious hatred continue to spread all across America. Yet the media wants me to be all hyped up about an affair between two consenting adults. Now if there is concrete proof that the General’s affair impacted national security I am willing to listen. So far, all I’ve seen is escalating details about the affair and hints (without concrete evidence) about the possibility of compromised classified info. I see this as another Monica Lewensiky media preoccupation. Something that has absolutely nothing to do with solving major problems facing the country. It’s also a distraction from the reality that President Obama won a decisive victory in spite of the massive money raised by billionaires and millionaires to defeat him, and in spite of the hostile media against him. Just my two cents.
Wahahahaha u made me crack up with the movie thing…lol
So let me get this straight. The other other woman goes to a friend in the FBI to complain because the other woman is sending her some ‘you betta leave my man alone’ emails. The agent then assures the other, other woman not to worry, he’d take care of it. He gets an investigation going, even though the other, other woman is just a regular citizen like any other other other woman. Now the FBI opens a case and finds out that the head CIA guy, who they can’t stand anyway, has done nothing other than not paying enough attention to the other woman. Evidently, the agent figures the other other woman is fair game and if old ass Petreaus could pull, then surely he could. The FBI finds out that the agent is after the other other woman and takes him off the case. The agent is afraid the FBI would drop the case therefore ruining his bragging rights with the other other woman. So Instead of beating his chest in bravado to her, he sends her pictures of his chest. The agent tells the Repubs cause he reallly really wants to impress the other other woman. The FBI not sure what to do cause once you know about something you’d damn well better tell somebody (it’s not the act , it’s the cover-up). The FBI holds on to it as long as they can, call in Peterlust and the other woman and tells them the stuff is hitting the fan, like NOW!! The other woman has to cancel her 40th birthday party and Peterlust has to cancel his career. The Repubs want to protect Peterlust, cause he’s their guy so they keep mum. Now we are left with a jealous other woman, taking down Peterlust over another other other woman. Peterlust goes on bended knee to his wife, and the other womans have draft emails and hairy chest to hang onto. Did I get that right?
Cookemom I formally nominate you to write the screenplay; “Peterlust Based on a True Story.” Please remember me when you accept your Oscar. LOL
Listen to this piece from Rev Al today….
gives more details as to why the emails were turned over to the FBI…….
What??? Wow. Details, if they’re reliable, are increasingly unbelievable. With Broadwell’s emails to the other woman of “I know what you did” and “Stay away from my guy”—–to reports that the Tampa woman is in big financial troub, with 4 lawsuits pending against her and husband, owe a ton of money to a bunch of banks, foreclosures on properties—–with speculation that she will make millions from selling her story etc. Ay yi yi.
OMG – White House possibly considering Amb. Susan Rice for Secretary of State. Per Rachel.
She would be an excellent choice.
Peter King NY has already said he would not approve her for the position because of the Benghazi tapespeak on the Sunday shows. He’s a fool and she’ll be confirmed without him.
Lindsey Graham has also said he would vote no on Rice unless a whole lotta info. became more clear.
The Senate confirms the nominees, and Peter King is a member of the House of Reps. He will have nothing to say officially about Rice’s nomination. Now little Lindsey Graham will spout and spout and he will get to vote, but the committee will vote probably unanimously and bring a strong report to the entire Senate. Peter King just REALLY likes to hear himself talk, and the media likes to give him the platform.
I’m guessing McCain will cause probs too, given his recent statements.
Lindsey Graham is in a minority, unless of course GOP senators decide to filibuster her nomination.
Does congress vote on the POTUS’ nominees too or its just the senate?
I don’t know and maybe he doesn’t either. Shhh, don’t tell him.
The Senate votes on confirmation of cabinet nominees. King is a member of the House of Reps. He gets no vote, he just likes to talk. Graham will get to vote. But, he doesn’t carry much clout.
Unless McCain tells him to carry clout. Then he’ll try.
Peter King’s lack of judgment and slow-witted-ness astounds me. He’s one of those people who opens his mouth and says whatever he was thinkin’, and really needs to quit that because what he was thinking was idiotic.
Yes, I believe Susan Rice would be confirmed, and I’d really like to see that. She’s brilliant.
Fortunately, Peter King does not have a vote in the Senate to approve or disapprove. He is a Member of the House of Rep. Only U.S. Senators get to vote on the President’s appointees. Bottom line: his opinion isn’t worth s**t
Did Camona in AZ win?

They should deploy Mark Knoller to AZ ASAP. He loves to count.
Good one Hopef!! Teeheehee!
PV lead now closing in on 3.4 mil. Yay.
How goes it, pops?
Hey lisa. Celebrating deepavali. Lotsa food to gorge to come later.
So you in for another twenty ? PV lead crosses 4 mil and 3%. What say you ?
Ha! I’ve learned my lesson popsie! No gambling contigo!
You know it! There’s an old saying: a fool and his money will soon be parted, and I don’t know ’bout you, but I aims to keeps my monies! ;)
I understand there are chunks of votes still to be counted in several states. The President’s lead could climb to 4 mil., or even the 5 mil., you predicted. Still, winning by 3.4 million is quite impressive. That’s more people than those that reside in Alaska, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana combined -all the states won by Romney. The fact of the matter is: President Obama won 8 out 10 of the most populous states in the U.S. All the media talk about Romney winning the popular vote was premised on the false assumption that he was going to win substantially in FL, VA, and NC. Romney ended up loosing both FL and VA, and winning narrowly in NC. After loosing CA, NY, FL, IL, OH, PA, MI, NJ and VA there was no way Romney was going to win the popular vote.
But you know, AMK, something has gone horribly wrong with the U.S. media. In 2000 George W. Bush lost the popular vote by more than 1/2 million votes and barely won the electoral votes by two votes with the help of the U.S. Supreme Court. No one in the press questioned his mandate to govern. In 2004, George W. Bush, once again, barely won the electoral votes and won the popular vote by 3 million. Most of the media, and even Bush himself, said that he won a mandate to govern based on his policies.
In 2008, President Obama won the election with a margin of 10 million more popular votes than his opponent, and 365 electoral votes. In fact in 2008, over 69 million Americans voted for President Obama. That’s more Americans that have ever voted for any other President in history. But that was never accepted as a mandate for President Obama to govern based on his policies. In 2012, President Obama won 332 electoral votes and tentatively with over 3 million more popular votes than Romney; a number that’s likely to increase once all the votes are counted. Yet, once again, the media is calling his win a squeaker, (per CBC Bob Scheiffer) which gives him no mandate to govern based on the policies he campaigned on. As far as I am concerned, the so called mainstream media poses one of the greatest threat to American democracy. Instead of asking the people President Obama defeated to cooperate with the president, the media is asking the President to surrender to the policies of the people he defeated. It’s really up to us citizens to challenge the media by launching campaigns, using every means necessary, to support the President’s policies. Clearly, the only way President Obama would be accepted by most in the media as a legitimate President is if he had won all the fifty states and was supported by 99% of white voters. To use one state as an example: 67% of whites in Vermont who voted for President Obama were, according to Cokie Roberts, evidence that whites had abandoned the President. President Obama needed to win 99.9% of whites in Vermont to demonstrate that he had white support. Similarly, the same majority of whites in the South who voted against him in 2008 and did so again in 2012 showed that whites had abandoned the President. Thus Ms. Roberts and his fellow media pundits, feel that the President is obligated is to structure his policies to satisfy the needs of all the 33% of whites in Vermont who voted against him as well the 80% of whites in Mississippi, South Carolina, Arkansas, Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas, etc., etc., who will never vote him, no matter what he does, as long as he is black..
I understand the mindset of many in the media. Although I have avoided saying this to my daughter and all the young people in my family, I grew up in an era when my parents taught us that in order to be accepted by society (meaning white society) and be successful, we had to be twice as good as any white a person. Clearly, this is the standard that President Obama has be held to, and is still being held to, despite all that he has accomplished. Thankfully, there are many people of all colors, races, faiths, gender, sexual orientation, who recognize the talent and accomplishments of President Obama, and who refuse to buy into the doubles standards and false memes peddled by the so called mainstream media.
Must say “good night” all, eyelids getting heavy.

BREAKING: Confirmed the agents at Paula Broadwells home are with FBI. Brought bags & boxes, taking photos @wcnc http://t.co/nXZ5u4Ke— Dianne Gallagher (@DianneG) November 13, 2012
This is like a real life episode of Scandal. Olivia Pope has got to be around there somewhere.
wow. Not fooling around any more. I knew when all parties are securing big time lawyers, there was a lot more to come.
anything but report on voter suppression.
Paula Broadwell was “All In” everything!
WHAT?!!! Not just his pants?! She was “all in” other stuff too?! Yikes! Man! What’s wrong with society today? Used to be two people had an extramarital affair and all both parties got were a few slap and tickles and a little romping before parting ways. Now, the mistress tries to crack state secrets and sell books about it. Crazy. SMH.
So if ol’ Peterlust, didn’t share any national security stuff with her, could there be another other man, as well as another other other woman? If the other other woman and her husband are in financial straits, then is Peterlust really the other man in this and only thinks he has another other other woman?
President Obama is considering asking Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) to serve as his next defense secretary, part of an extensive rearrangement of his national security team that will include a permanent replacement for former CIA director David H. Petraeus.
Although Kerry is thought to covet the job of secretary of state, senior administration officials familiar with the transition planning said that nomination will almost certainly go to Susan E. Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.
John O. Brennan, Obama’s chief counterterrorism adviser, is a leading contender for the CIA job if he wants it, officials said. If Brennan goes ahead with his plan to leave government, Michael J. Morell, the agency’s acting director, is the prohibitive favorite to take over permanently. Officials cautioned that the White House discussions are still in the early stages and that no decisions have been made.

Obama now leads Romney by 3,364,998 in the popular vote….and growing #POLLS— Jeff Gauvin (@JeffersonObama) November 13, 2012
New post everyone:

Ambassador Rice is a very dedicated and qualified person to become Sec of State ( and so is Sen Kerry). She has been very loyal to PBO and our POTUS remembers this.
When I heard her strong statement (about US’ seat on the Human Rights) today at the UN, I thought that this is a signal from Team Obama that they are still considering nominating her for State and will go to the mat for to be confirmed.
Truth be told, I listened to Ambassador Rice’s statements about Benghazi and I seem to recall that she said that what they suspected then was the attack had to do with the video. I also thought she went on to say they were still waiting for additional information to know if this is true
