….and I don’t know if you’ve been paying much attention to our bush league here, but my (4th seed in the West) Galaxy, kicked San Jose (best team in the league) out of the playoffs, and right now have a 3-goal aggregate lead over Seattle in the Western Conference Championship series. If (5th seed in the East) Houston keeps their lead over DC on Saturday, and we keep our lead over Seattle, then we’re going to the MLS CUP FINAL which will be HERE IN LA because Houston is lower seeded. (We beat them last year in the Final…)
ZOMFG
It’s been an AWESOME two weeks, with this, and my JEDI MASTER POTUS handing the TEAGOP their ASS in, as Glenn Beck has described, “A MANDATE. A GIANT GIANT SPANKING.”
Now Tally don’t go and remind me about last year I have been keeping up with my TEXANS but the Dynamos will be ready for Beeks and the Galaxy when the time comes. You know we are the City of Champions too.i.e The Rockets and the Texans !!
I wanted to see if I could get any new information from you smart people. I was talking to someone at school today about the ACA act. He was saying that it was going to hurt small businesses?! I talked about how the President totally supports small businesses; how he’s given them 18 tax cuts. I heard him talking about the bill he wants passed in the House to pass the middle class tax cuts and how this will help 97 or 98% of small businesses. He said that people aren’t going to be hiring because they’ll have to pay more for covering their employees for healthcare. I remembered the provision about if you had under 50 employees, you could get help. He said someone who had 85 employees was going to be hurt very badly with ACA and he thought employers wouldn’t be hiring for the next year because of the uncertainty. I said how supportive the President was of small businesses and they must not understand the law; and he said he was sure they had accountants who did.
I thought employers would be hesitant to hire employees because of the tax fight going on more than this.
I looked on Healtcare.gov and saw that if an employee got a tax credit to use in the health care exhanges, the employer would be assesed a fee to help pay for that.
No business is effected unless they have 50+ employees.
But, if a small business chooses to acquire HC for their employees, they will be given a 35k dollar tax credit.
That’s what I thought Jovie. I asked how many employees the small business he was talking about had because I remembered if you had under 50 you got help. He said this guy had 85 employees. So I’m guessing, from what I read at the Healthcare.gov, they want everyone to have insurance, so if you have over 50 employees, you’re going to have to have medical insurance for your employees? I’m assuming not all small companies like this with 50 to 100 employees cover their employees with insurance?
Employers who are afraid of “uncertainty” should probably get out of the business. There is always uncertainty. There is always risk. That same “uncertainty” is the reason that CEOs give for “earning” their huge salaries – because they’re supposed to be able to navigate uncertainty. Any time I hear someone talk about “uncertainty”, then I also ask them why they are so bad at managing. I asked my CIO that same question during the health care debate. He had to admit that I had a valid point.
The American public insisted that we are an “employer based healthcare” nation. The ACA makes it possible for a small business to give healthcare to their employees so that they aren’t spending their time and money training new worker all the time when the workers move on to other businesses who do give healthcare. If the small business is not making profit they will get help to afford the healthcare for their workers. If their profits are too high to receive the help, then they must provide the healthcare anyway. If they make profits off of their employees backs without giving healthcare they are nothing more than a sweat shop, and, no that is not okay anymore.
Oops, too late on last thread. So sorry about your ankle, Chips! Sending it love! There’s an acronym that covers what you’re supposed to do, including rest, ice, elevation. Can’t remember the fourth one. Liquor?
This thread is much better, thank you Betsey! Way too much talk about fiscal cliffs and the like in the last one, as if that mattered more than my ankle.
Owie, Chipsticks, has Bobfr weighed in on this hefty topic yet? I’m only just home, trying to feed, and read and cuddle kitty, but I am thinking you be needing to elevate and ice! {{{{{Chipsticks}}}}}}
I also like Betseyc’s cure – with the liquor added. Sounds very effective! Chips, I hope your ankle gets better soon. I told you all that dancing was a bit too much…
That looks like it hurts. Must be something in the air. Since the election I have had another a/fib episode reaction to heparin therapy it’s not been a good week. Hope everyone is ok. Chips when the feet hurt or the heart it is not a good day. Take care 😊sending some 💐
Mmmmmmm Hm! Reeeeeal trickster. Admit it Chips, you’re planning a mini vaykay for tomorrow. Your poor ankle is the scapegoat in all of this. Poor thing. SMH.
LOL! Chips, you are incorrigible! I do hope it feels better soon. I have a bum ankle too. Twisted it going down some open steps in heels. Ayeeeeeee… just thinking about it makes me cringe! Elevation my dear! And some gentle messaging… perhaps by a scanitly clad 20-something prince with a well-chiseled 8-pk and pecks like … oh sorry, I don’t know what came over me!
I have seen the debate about what went wrong, and why you lost this election. As a voter I want you to know that my voting against you had nothing to do with the fact that you are both rotten people.
It was not because of your crazy religions.
It had nothing to do with Eastwood’s empty chair, or the hurricane, or the liberal media telling me bad things about Bain.
I did not vote against you because I am a minority.
I did not vote against you because I live in an urban area.
I did not vote against you because of the cheese wiz in your veins or the elevators for your cars.
I did not vote against you because you are bullies and bigots.
I did not vote against you because you are rich hypocrites.
It was not because of Chris Christie, or Colin Powell, or Bill Clinton, or Anne Coulter, or Chris Mathews or Rachel Maddow or Meygn Kelly or Jon Stewart or Brian Williams, or anybody on tv.
I didn’t vote against you for any of those reasons because, I didn’t vote against anybody.
I voted for someone.
I voted for a man who brought my childhood friends home from war that they could kiss their wives and tuck their kids in at night.
I voted for a guy who loves New Jersey more than he dislikes Chris Christie.
I voted for the guy who looked in the mirrors of his daughter’s eyes, questioned himself, and changed his mind about marriage equality.
I voted for the guy who called Sandra Fluke and told her that her parents should be proud.
I voted for the guy who honors the women in his life by ensuring them trust to make their own reproductive and health choices and opportunity to work through glass ceilings with equal pay.
I voted for the guy who signed the stimulus that paid for the hearing aids that allowed me to hear my children clearly.
I voted for the guy who gave my sister the ability to buy health insurance in spite of pre existing conditions.
I voted for the guy who picked Joe Biden for a VP. Joe’s love for his country, his willingness to give of himself, his smarts and experience are top notch.
I voted for the guy who was smart enough to put a ring on Michelle Obama’s finger.
Most importantly, I voted for the guy who will continue to place America and what is right for her first.
I trust him.
When he hears a lone voice in a crowd of plenty shout, “I love you!” He shouts, “I love you back!”
See Mitt, Paul, it’s not you… It’s him.
I did not vote against you.
I voted for Barack Obama.
I voted for Joe Biden.
I voted for Michelle and Sasha and Malia.
I voted in favor of my self and my spouse and our sons and our future.
I voted in favor of the best tomorrow for America available.
You can blame polls, and weather events, and skewed electoral votes and biased media and urban minorities who supposedly want free stuff till you actually turn into the slow moving regressive elephants who represent you if you wish but no manipulating the facts.
You lost not because you are losers but because Barack is a winner.
that’s a beautiful letter, and i appreciate the positive angle. our president is the best, and we voted for him because he’s exactly who our country needs. but also too, myth and lyin’ are despicable, and it was a pleasure to never consider giving them my vote.
What a marvelous letter. Sarah Zacharias voted for the President for almost the same reasons as I did. I bet most of the people who voted for Romney did so because they hate and fear President Obama and not because they love and respect Romney; whereas most people who voted for President Obama did so because they love and respect him for his accomplishments and for his inspiration.
It makes me think of what Donna said the other day about feeling invisible. I had noticed the same thing and I feel they are trying to do the same thing to the president. They talk as though his policies and character had nothing to do with his re-election. They totally ignore his exceptional life story. I makes me so mad I could punch someone, but then I think they can’t do it unless we let them, and that they are only relevant in their own eyes, their day has passed, and thank God, the world will never be the same.
It feels absolutely fantastic to actually like, no…, love your president. Those folk on the other side couldn’t possibly know the joy of it all. Kudos to the writer.
THIS!! It beautifully encapsulates all that I think and feel about the entire election. These are the very reasons, and more, that I voted whole- heartedly for Pres. Obama. Thanks for adding this great find to the blog.
Actually, I am looking forward to seeing how Chips operates under the influence of pain killers. See if it any different than when she is celebrating othr ways.
Also, haven’t seen anywhere, though I’ve only had a few minutes to fire a couple of requested tweets, that you’ve had that ankle checked by, like you know, a professional? DM me if you need anything, ok, seriously!
Chips Darln’, I have had a day from hell, but at least I didn’t sprain my ankle… I’m sorry, I just couldn’t resist! I truly hope that you are feeling better and I’m sending you all the best and a tequila shot or two!
Oh don’t worry, now that the wifey unit has gone back to our other home, I am about to start my own middle of the week binge. Deepavali put a crimp on that for the past 3 days.
CC, here’s my suggestion for tomorrow: (brought over from last post)
Chips Chica, you probably should do one OR TWO of those timed, ‘slow-release’, robo-post for tomorrow and have yourself a REAL rest. Yes, I know you don’t type with your ankle, but think of the joy of resting without thinking about whether the thread is too full or not. Try it, please.
Trust you to pick up on that part! Do the robo-posts and give yourself a REAL day off when you are not out-of-town or off to work , but actually resting ankle, mind, AND fingers. If you won’t do it for you, do it for us, so that we know you really took a brief bit of ‘pampering myself’ time.
Or, maybe you would like some of this whisky crab soup, it has some magical qualities I cannot describe, but I am sure it can cure whatever ails a girl!
I didn’t see the word “soup”, and I thought… that’s some creative serving there… whiskey served in a bowl and disguised as “soup”? I’m still a little suspicious.
What’s happened to our modern world? There is absolutely no need to disguise a shot or two of whiskey to chase away the pain, as long as you don’t mix it with pain killers that come in the form of pills.
I will pass your inquiries and concerns on to the man in the tall white hat, the one who created above mentioned soup. Oh, the 5-Star chef? Yes, to him! (It was too yummy for words!)
President Barack Obama has signed a directive that sets policy for how the U.S. government handles threats in cyberspace, according to three current and former administration officials familiar with its contents.
The directive opens the door to a bigger role for the Defense Department, directing it to provide civilian agencies with technical help on cybersecurity challenges, according to a former senior intelligence official familiar with the directive.
The directive is separate from an executive order the Obama administration is considering to implement elements of stalled Senate legislation that would set voluntary cybersecurity standards for private-sector infrastructure such as power grids and chemical plants considered essential to national security.
The classified directive, which sets policy for how the government performs cybersecurity operations, updates a document issued in 2004, said a senior administration official who wasn’t authorized to discuss the specifics.
It coincides with administration warnings about potentially damaging cyber attacks. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said in a speech last month that the Pentagon and American intelligence agencies are seeing an increase in cyber threats that could become as devastating as the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks if they aren’t stopped.
Inspired by the First Lady’s Kitchen Garden, a seasonal salad for the holiday table…
President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama have welcomed family and friends to their White House Thanksgiving celebration each year since 2009 for a feast that spotlights coveted family food traditions. Next Thursday, with four more years to be thankful for, the First Family’s Thanksgiving will be even more special. The White House has released the recipe for the Kale Salad that will be served at the feast, as well as for the the brined Thyme-Roasted Turkey and Turkey Gravy that will be served.
Dear Chips this is the old Trucker sorry to hear about your ankle and the pain that goes with it.I know how you feel been there before.Let me tell about pain as you know driving a Rig that has a 13 speed transmission which means you a clutch to push to change gears to drive.I was driving cross country one winter in the area we as truckers call is cross the top and means I-90 thru Rapid city,S.Dakota and Sioux Falls,S.Dakota heading East thru Minnesota.I stopped in Sioux Falls got out of the truck and stepped down on a very icy parking lot slipped and twisted my left ankle and did ligament damage didn’t know when it happened hurt like crazy. But the only thing I thought about was how was I going to drive knowing every time I change gears i had to push down on that clutch to get the job done all i have to say it was Hell all the way to Chicago that 573 miles was all pain.So Chips put that ankle up and rest it on a ICE pillow and it will get better believe me because I had to fly my loving wife up to Chicago to take care me when i had my accident and that’s what we went through .It will get better and I hope you will be truly new when it is over.
What a truly heroic story! 537 miles in that clutch!! Thank heavens you had such a loving wife to care for you when that happened. My ankle hurts in sympathy. 😢
I’ve been there. My little Kasper was attacked by a pit bull. He was very badly hurt, but you wouldn’t know it to see him now! HBack to his old, naughty self. What is amazing about these doggies — they don’t have our neuroses and just naturally put their energy into healing.
Give the pup a big kiss for me, and keep us posted.
Chipstah. Now I’m not laughing AT your pain, I’m laughing WITH your pain. Do you know the candy Laffy Taffy? My favorite is banana flavor. Anyways Laffy Taffy has ridiculous, corny clean jokes (AMK! Listen and learn! ) Here’s a few:
Q: What kind of bear has no teeth?
A: A gummy bear!
Q: Where does the general put his armies?
A: In his sleevies!
Q: What are the strongest days of the week?
A: Saturday and Sunday. Every other day is a weekday.
Q: Why was the tomato blushing?
A: Because she saw the salad dressing!
Q: Why didn’t the teddy bear finish his supper?
A: Because he was already stuffed.
Q: How do you fix a broken jack o’lantern?
A: You use a pumpkin patch.
Q: How do you get a peanut to laugh?
A: You crack it up.
Hope they made you laugh and you are feeling better soon!
Chips, I well know what you are going through with your ankle. I broke my lower e leg just above the left ankle. I still have 4 screws on the inside part holding the bone together. Get well soon. That was a long time ago when I did this.
This actually made me laugh out loud (and spit out my wine, in the process…). I think you may be right. Fortunately, only demons seem to be tuning into MTP these days. They like lies.
David Gregory isn’t looking for anyone to defend Susan Rice. Or to be fair, this is David Gregory remember. The one who was the mouth piece for Mitt Romney.
A Bible study group was discussing the unforeseen possibility of their sudden death. The leader of the discussion said, ” We will all die some day, and none of us really know when, but if we did we would all do a better job of preparing ourselves for that inevitable event.”
“Everybody shook their heads in agreement with this comment.”
Then the leader said to the group, “What would you do if you knew you only had 4 weeks of life remaining before your death, and then the Great Judgment Day?”
A gentleman said, “I would go out into my community and minister the Gospel to those that have not yet accepted the Lord into their lives.”
“Very good!”, said the group leader, and all the group members agreed, that would be a very good thing to do.
One lady spoke up and said enthusiastically, “I would dedicate all of my remaining time to serving God, my family, my church, and my fellow man with a greater conviction.”
“That”s wonderful!” the group leader commented, and all the group members agreed, that would be a very good thing to do.
But one gentleman in the back finally spoke up loudly and said, “I would go to my mother-in-laws house for the 4 weeks.”
Everyone was puzzled by this answer, and the group leader ask, “Why your mother-in-law’s home?”
“Because that will make it the longest 4 weeks of my life!”
Lenny went on vacation and asked Bobby to watch over his house, his cat and his granny. About a week later, Lenny calls home and asked “How’s my cat?”.
Bobby hesitated and sadly told Lenny his cat died.
“What?! You shouldn’t have broke the news to me like that! You should have done it slowly. The first time I called, you should have told me he was on the roof. The second time I called, you should have said there was no way to get him down. The third time I called, you should have told me that you tried to get her off the roof, but she fell down and died,” explained Lenny.
Bobby apologized and went about his day.
About a week later, Lenny called again and asked “How’s my Granny?”.
There was a long silence and then Bobby replied. “Well, she’s on the roof.”
@SenJohnMcCain Yes, we ALL have to be responsible for our actions. So WHY are you still in GOV after picking SARAH PALIN??— Tally Briggs (@bardgal) November 15, 2012
Bravo, Bravo, Bravo, Tally! This bitter, clueless, and grumpy man, who is routinely indulged by the media, as if he were a smart and serious man, needs to be called out for what he tried to do to the country when he impulsively picked the most unqualified person as VP candidate.

RT 100%, 24/7, and we've got the tools! Let's Get this Done, Daily! @steveweinstein: Time to back Obama this time from the start….— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) November 15, 2012
I’m loving how PBO’s former campaign team members can now feel free to “go after” anybody that needs goin’ after, on behalf of the President … as Bill Burton and Axe have done since election night. Technically, they aren’t going to be speaking for the President in the future, so they can make these (still measured, because they’re not haters) comments they’ve had to stifle since before ’08 !
I am with you Jacquelineoboomer. Of course we too must not be constrained to “go after any body that needs goin’ after, on behalf of the President.” As far as I am concerned, John McCain is a bitter, insecure, sore looser who can’t get over the fact that the President kicked his ass big time in 2008. Other loosing presidential candidates with integrity (e.g., the late George McGovern, Walter Mondale, Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush, Al Gore and John Kerry) went on with their lives and were never preoccupied with denigrating the sitting Presidents who defeated them. But not the little man, John McCain, whose ego has been inflated by our unethical media that continue to give him the megaphone to attack President Obama. I know of no other loosing presidential candidate that has been treated by the media the way they have treated John McCain. VP Al Gore, who actually won the presidency, except that the Right wingers on the Supreme Court stole from under him, was never given the same platform to constantly attack George W. Bush; and neither was John Kerry who narrowly lost the equally suspect 2004 election. Yet the media has given John McCain more coverage and more respect than the sitting President who defeated him in a landslide.
To be honest, I am sick and tired of John McCain and his sidekick (or the guy who has a crush on him) Lindsay Graham. Neither one of them has any credibility, or deep understanding of foreign affairs, other than the fact that they are the darlings of the mainstream media.
Kudos to the TOD twitter warriors who are once again out in force exposing these idiots, along with their mainstream media enablers, and defending President Obama.

Lindsey Graham's just upset because when McCain lost, he realized he wasn't going to be First Lady. #lastword— Wayne A Schneider (@WayneASchneider) November 15, 2012
There may be some truth here. I haven’t seen much of Cindy McCain. Every time I see John McCain he is always accompanied by Lindsey Graham. When is the last time John and Cindy have been prominently featured together? Compare that to the many times that John and Lindsey have been together saying exactly the same things.
more bizarro world from The Scandal——Petraeus got the Kelley gal, the Tampa Kardashian, in some kind of coal deal with S. Top Republicans say Romney lost because proposals lacked specifics, his response to criticism timid: apne.ws/U1d05Y – VW— The Associated Press (@AP) November 15, 2012
Top Republicans meeting for the first time since Election Day say the party lost its bid to unseat President Barack Obama because nominee Mitt Romney did not respond to criticism strongly enough or outline a specific agenda with a broad appeal.
In conversations at the Republican Governors Association confab in Las Vegas, a half dozen party leaders predicted the GOP will lose again if it keeps running the same playbook based on platitudes in place of detailed policies. Instead, they asserted, the party needs to learn the lessons from its loss, respect voters’ savvy and put forward an agenda that appeals beyond the while, male voters who are its base.
///
With polls in hand and shifting demographic trends in mind, these Republicans are looking at how best to position the party to make inroads with growing numbers of Hispanic, black and young voters who overwhelmingly voted Democratic last week. The Republicans were still smarting over constant criticism of Romney from Obama and Vice President Joe Biden — and what they saw as Romney’s often ineffective response.
///
In the hallways at the conference, the governors and their top advisers uniformly blamed Romney’s loss on an uneven communications strategy. They said Romney allowed himself to be branded a corporate raider who put the interests of the wealthy above those of middle-income voters.
///
The Republican nominee didn’t acknowledge any major missteps and said his team had run a superb campaign.
A clueless arrogant vulture capitalist till the end and the aftermath.
Iron Dome in Israel knocked out the vast majority of Palestinian rockets from Gaza.
1 got through and killed 1 Man in Israel. The Palestinians are firing old katusha Rockets, but they fire them in abundance and from different areas, to confuse the Israeli defense system.
Can you imagine, if Israel did not have those Patriot 3 Missles?
Now, who gave the Israeli Govt the Iron Done anti Missles defense shield?
Yup! POTUS…
Ms Chips, so sorry to hear you hurt your ankle… is it broken, or sprained? Hope it heals/knits quickly, and you can take some time off work to rest it.
I remember one night that LOD explained why it is important for people to caucus with the Democratic party, he was talking specifically about Claire McCaskill whom many liberals do not like. They may vote contrarily sometimes, but they help set the majority agenda, and the committee chairmanships, and the number makes the majority stronger. I’m not saying this well, this was about a year ago, but even though we may not like them, having them with the Democrats makes Harry Reid and the agenda stronger.
Simple math. You want someone who will vote with you at least 50 to 75% of the time against some punk who will vote 100% against all the time. Look at 2009 to 2012.
He ran as an independent, he has to sound like an independent for his constituents. What he will NOT be is a rubber stamp for Republican obstruction like Olympia Snowe (for all her ‘moderate’ noise, she helped Republicans 99.9% of the time). Will he need some convincing and cajoling – yes. Will he vote sometimes in ways we don’t like? Yes. So will McCaskill and Landrieu. But it’s much better than it was.
Initial unemployment claims had been steadily improving for much of the fall, but the new figures from the Department of Labor reflect a shock to the system caused by Hurricane Sandy.
The damage caused by Hurricane Sandy sent U.S. jobless claims soaring by 78,000 in the week ended Nov. 10 to an 18-month high of 439,000, according to the latest government figures. A Labor Department official on Thursday said claims surged in the eastern parts of the country that laid in the path of the storm. The destruction of job sites, closure of government offices and widespread power outages caused more people to file claims after an initial delay. Economists surveyed by MarketWatch had expected claims to climb to 380,000 on a seasonally adjusted basis.
The 439,000 claims represent the worst week since April 2011, but again, it’s largely the result of a natural disaster, not an economic crisis.

I looked on Healtcare.gov and saw that if an employee got a tax credit to use in the health care exhanges, the employer would be assesed a fee to help pay for that.
Anyone have any info about this?
Yes. He is full of shit. See Jovie’s response:
If they make profits off of their employees backs without giving healthcare they are nothing more than a sweat shop, and, no that is not okay anymore.
whassthisankleyouretalkinaboutchips?
Also. Too. I wouldn’t let your pilot bf take a look at that pic, if I were you.
Keep leaving your love here. Thank you.
Owie, Chipsticks, has Bobfr weighed in on this hefty topic yet? I’m only just home, trying to feed, and read and cuddle kitty, but I am thinking you be needing to elevate and ice! {{{{{Chipsticks}}}}}}
You’re too kind Pamela! No, Bob has yet to offer me hope – and for that, I’ll most probably NEVER forgive him.
Whine, whine, whine. Just think about Manchester United STEALING Chelsea’s victory and that should magically heal you.
On a more serious note, hope you get and feel better soon. We all need you here.
Just emerged from meetings and saw the thread.
Dear Chips, am sure you are doing all the right stuff – elevation, ice, and suitable anti-inflamatory meds (don’t mix with EtOH
)
Hope you will recover quickly!!!!
I also like Betseyc’s cure – with the liquor added. Sounds very effective! Chips, I hope your ankle gets better soon. I told you all that dancing was a bit too much…
Compression!
RICE — Rest Ice Compression Elevation. Get better soon, Chips!
RICE Rest, ice, compression, elevation. From one who knows the routine by heart.
That looks like it hurts. Must be something in the air. Since the election I have had another a/fib episode reaction to heparin therapy it’s not been a good week. Hope everyone is ok. Chips when the feet hurt or the heart it is not a good day. Take care 😊sending some 💐
Oh goodness! Feel better:)
Feel better, Roberts. People tend to get sick after a huge adrenaline-heavy period of time. Take care of yourself.
Feel better soon, Chips.
Thank you EDP4BHO!
Shouldn’t there be a reddish aura around the area to symbolize pain? I mean, if you’re gonna be all dramatic about it. : )
I didn’t want to be over-dramatic about it GB
You’re not trying to get out of working here tomorrow, are you? THAT would not be good!
hugs for your ankle…
Bingo. There you go. All this build-up is for bunking the work tomorrow.
wimmin/smh
Now that it’s been mentioned…………….;;;;;;;;;………….
wimmin, huh ?
More like, ‘Chips, huh?’ She’s a real trickster. Have to watch out for her.
‘Scuse me?
Must have been the “moisure!”
You might be right!
Time for me to retire.
I’ll be up early in the morning looking for my West Coast Edition of TOD!!!!!!
Good night Chipsticks love
Huh, look forward to a grumpy one, GGail. Sleep well, my friend!
It’s those dancing blue shoes! Wot you couldn’t celebrate in flat shoes?! Rub some tiger balm, odor supremo, but it works!
Hope you get to rest that foot Chips.
I admit to having visions of that being PBO’s whole foot up those supposed journalist azz.
Some brilliance from the Interwebs

A Final Letter To Mitt Romney
http://samuel-warde.com/2012/11/a-final-letter-to-mitt-romney/
by one Sarah Zacharias
Dear Mitt and Paul,
I wanted to clear something up for you.
Sincerely,
Sarah Zacharias
Utterly awesome Dudette!!! Thank you!
This is more than perfect. Something that I’ve thought, but wished that I wrote down…just like Sarah just did. Bravo!
That is fantastic
Great letter, Dudette. Thanks for finding it.
THE AWESOME.
that’s a beautiful letter, and i appreciate the positive angle. our president is the best, and we voted for him because he’s exactly who our country needs. but also too, myth and lyin’ are despicable, and it was a pleasure to never consider giving them my vote.
Yes indeed, Sarah, “Barack is a winner.”
Thanks so much, Dudette, for sharing this letter.
I have nothing to say after reading this Sarah. Well said. That should be in the newspapers nation wide.
Beautiful!
How utterly wonderful.
THIS!! It beautifully encapsulates all that I think and feel about the entire election. These are the very reasons, and more, that I voted whole- heartedly for Pres. Obama. Thanks for adding this great find to the blog.
Bravo to the American who wrote this letter.
my sentiments exactly. Ms Sarah Zacharias must have peeped into my heart to “steal my feelings”
Two frat boys were stranded at sea in a life boat. On the 4th day, a mermaid came up out of the water and offered them one wish to save their lives.
The frat boys thought about it and one shouted out,”I wish the ocean was a sea of beer.” And it happened.
A litle while later the other one shouted,”Great, now we have to pee in the boat!”
….
what? we men are idjits.
Sorry, Amk, not all men are “idjits.” It’s just the rich frat boys who never grow up.
Oh, dear:
The White House has deleted the petition to “punch Grover Norquist in the dick.”
Damn. I would have signed that one and passed it on. Why do they have to be such grown ups?
Actually, I am looking forward to seeing how Chips operates under the influence of pain killers. See if it any different than when she is celebrating othr ways.
I don’t know what to say. I think that is good music but those teeth? oh save me.
Yeah, those teeth are a little scary… And he’s smoking and drinking a coffee (?) at the same time… But, the singing is great!
Now I know how you broke your damned ankle.
The Fire Brigade trying to rescue Chips from the 10th floor of a burning building.
Fireman : “Jump and we’ll catch you in this blanket!”
Chips : “Fuck off, I don’t trust you, lay it on the floor!”
Okay, my laughing tubes just went the way of my ankle: busted!!!!
Aaaand (PBO style) my job is done here.
Go ice your ankle woman.
Icing as we speak Amk, but it still looks like a warped Empire State building. Just finishing bottle of wine and bundle of painkillers, this is me:
Just want to make sure you’re also listening to Jefferson Airplane.
Ah crikey Meta, I’m not THAT drugged
Oh, good!!
Chips – careful mixing the meds and the wine!!!
Also, haven’t seen anywhere, though I’ve only had a few minutes to fire a couple of requested tweets, that you’ve had that ankle checked by, like you know, a professional? DM me if you need anything, ok, seriously!
Hmmmmmmmm………..
Woah, spooky, just what I’m seeing right now. Lisa = total mindreader.
Chips Darln’, I have had a day from hell, but at least I didn’t sprain my ankle… I’m sorry, I just couldn’t resist! I truly hope that you are feeling better and I’m sending you all the best and a tequila shot or two!
Ah flip Dakota, so sorry you had a crappy day. My ankle will get over it, hope tomorrow’s better for ya!
Chips hope your ankle heals quickly and you feel better soon! PBO sent a text that he’s sending you a gift of healing from your President.
When I said ice the ankle, I didn’t mean ice the wine.
Methinks this whole ankle thingy is an esscusi to get drunk and paint the town green again. Middle of the week ? tsk, tsk, tsk,
You’re shoooooooooo shuspishus.
“I know you don’t type with your ankle”
See, that’s where you are WRONG VC.
Er…… Nice legs?
Eeeeekkkk!
That’s a good look for you, Chips!
LOVE, LOVE, LOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEEEEEE HER!!!!! Nina Turner is SERIOUS!! LOVE HER!!
Yes, ma’am, you will be an awesome SOS! and Ohio needs you!
Love her! She is fearless, and I will do what i can to support her in her future endeavors whatever they may be.

Just the beginning on cybersecurity from the WH!

Photo of the Day – Tammy Duckworth on her FIRST DAY IN CONGRESS!!!
http://bobcesca.com/blog-archives/2012/11/photo-of-the-day-25.html
Her smile is the best thing about that photo. I’m so happy she’s going to be one of the good guys in Congress. Wonderful!
Okay wanted to update on my dog and say that she had to get some surgery and will be getting stitches.
She’ll be alright and that’s the most important thing. Thanks for letting us know
What happened to her ?
She got into a fight with another dog while my brother was walking her. Ended up getting hurt.
uugghh. Sounds nasty. Glad she is ok.
Next time, don’t trust your bro with the dog walking.
it wasn’t his fault. The other dog was off a leash.
A man died and was taken to his place of eternal torment by the devil.
As he passed sulphurous pits and shrieking sinners, he saw a man he recognized as a lawyer snuggling up to a beautiful woman.
“That’s unfair!” he cried. “I have to roast for all eternity, and that lawyer gets to spend it with a beautiful woman.”
“Shut up”, barked the devil, jabbing the man with his pitchfork.
“Who are you to question that woman’s punishment?”
///
See?
Chips, I well know what you are going through with your ankle. I broke my lower e leg just above the left ankle. I still have 4 screws on the inside part holding the bone together. Get well soon. That was a long time ago when I did this.
A man went into a lawyer’s office, and demanded to see the lawyer. He was escorted into the lawyer’s office.
The man needed legal help, but he knew how expensive lawyers could be, so he inquired, “Can you tell me how much you charge?”
“Of course”, the lawyer replied, “I charge $500 to answer three questions.”
“Don’t you think that’s an awful lot of money to answer three questions?”
“Yes it is”, answered the lawyer, “Now, what’s your third question?”
Yup, that sounds about right…
Umm. The title of this page is “The Newt Diary? Eh??? April’s fools is early this year?
So McBitters will be on MTP Sunday, who will be on to counter his evil bitterness and defend Amb. Rice?
Satan
This actually made me laugh out loud (and spit out my wine, in the process…). I think you may be right. Fortunately, only demons seem to be tuning into MTP these days. They like lies.
David Gregory isn’t looking for anyone to defend Susan Rice. Or to be fair, this is David Gregory remember. The one who was the mouth piece for Mitt Romney.
Chica,
Can you please make this picture show up for all to see???
Photo of the Day – Tammy Duckworth on her FIRST DAY IN CONGRESS!!!
http://bobcesca.com/blog-archives/2012/11/photo-of-the-day-25.html
First guy proudly: “My wife’s an angel!”
Second guy: “You’re lucky, mine’s still alive.”
lol amk! You’re going to get all the ladies on here pissed off!
///
Nowww, they all will be pissed off.
And my job here is truly done.
I have a joke just for amk.
Knock knock!
Who’s there?
John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Chuck Todd, Luke Russert, Ed Henry, Mark Knoller, Jake Tapper, Andrea Mitchell…
Shut the door!!!
LOL! You folks are nuts
Been lurking, going to bed. Nitey nite all !
You know we’re keeping a tally of these “wimmin jokes”, don’t you, amk? The smackdown is going to be very painful… Just wanted to let you know.
AMK……. you are incorrigible…….
Oh dear, it’s terrible, but I laughed anyway. Loud and long… You’re a bad influence, amk!
Tammmmmmyyyyyyy!
Right on! RT’d
Now here is a TRUE American hero!
FB’d! Beautiful!
Bravo, Bravo, Bravo, Tally! This bitter, clueless, and grumpy man, who is routinely indulged by the media, as if he were a smart and serious man, needs to be called out for what he tried to do to the country when he impulsively picked the most unqualified person as VP candidate.
Lawry going off on ‘Little’ Lindsay Graham aka ‘Liar’ Lindsay Graham.
That was a thing of beauty. Love that name “Little Lindsay”.
I think Lindsay Graham is seriously in love with John McCain. If I were Cindy McCain I would be worried.
Hahahahahahahaha!!!
That is so true He took the place of Joe Lieberman because Lieberman left McCain hanging after picking Sarah Palin for VP.
Here’s something that is interesting. this guy is talking about reinstating the fairness doctrine
i think mom’s passed out drunk. party?
Once again, Smartypants nails it:

Nite TOD! Feel better Chips
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Hey a4A, not so fast! I should have been there long before you as I have to go to work tomorrow. Wait uzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I’m loving how PBO’s former campaign team members can now feel free to “go after” anybody that needs goin’ after, on behalf of the President … as Bill Burton and Axe have done since election night. Technically, they aren’t going to be speaking for the President in the future, so they can make these (still measured, because they’re not haters) comments they’ve had to stifle since before ’08 !
you know they’re having fun, too!
Exactly, Jacqueline. And they’ve got 23+Million of us ready to ROCK with them and they know it!!!
Need to prepare dinner. Chips, sent you a DM. Please take care!!!
BBL
What time zone are you in Bob? It’s 11:30 where I’m at and it was a shocker reading that you were about to prepare for dinner.
PST. We never have dinner before 9p due to our schedules and that we always take at least an hour and enjoy dinner together – been doing it for now more than 43 years (it’s the Italian in me
) … goodies coming out of the oven in 10 min … bbl
So, Jindal is going off on Romney for those comments??-

Jiffy pop Popcorn!
I love Catherine Zeta Jones! She’s such an awesome actress and singer. I’m watching Rock of Ages, but I don’t like the supposed protagonists, just the old school caters like Alec Balwin, Catherine, Bryan Cranston, Paul Giamatti, etc.
Darn shame she’s unattractive.
You’re being funny right? CZJ is one of the most beautiful women alive!
Oh, Chips. healing thoughts!!
X Me, Chips! Heal !!!!!!
OT: Rock of Ages is soooooooooooooooooo bad!
Jacqueline this is a good one. It made me laugh.
Me, too. Cuts these buzzards down to size, one by one. How dare they!
There may be some truth here. I haven’t seen much of Cindy McCain. Every time I see John McCain he is always accompanied by Lindsey Graham. When is the last time John and Cindy have been prominently featured together? Compare that to the many times that John and Lindsey have been together saying exactly the same things.
I’m thinkin’ Cindy is staying as far away from John as she can. I also firmly believe she voted for Obama!
feeling like a party! my president is the president of the whole land!!!
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo BAD.
DAAHm.

more bizarro world from The Scandal——Petraeus got the Kelley gal, the Tampa Kardashian, in some kind of coal deal with S. Korea—–where she demanded $80 million in compensation—–and the deal fell thru—–or at least her part of it. Just mind-boggling tidbits—–she was flooding the inboxes of all the top brass there all the time with requests for help with her lavish parties etc., local police have 100 pages of calls from her with various complaints. Nuttiness. I can’t believe these top military guys were messed up with this family.

Burma to free hundreds of prisoners before Obama visit
Burma is releasing 452 prisoners under an amnesty, officials say, days before a visit by US President Barack Obama.
The release, which could include political detainees, is to “help promote goodwill and the bilateral relationship”, state media report.
The move is the latest in a series of prisoner releases under the reformist government of President Thein Sein.
Mr Obama’s visit, a first by a serving US president, is intended to encourage continued government reform.
///
///
In the hallways at the conference, the governors and their top advisers uniformly blamed Romney’s loss on an uneven communications strategy. They said Romney allowed himself to be branded a corporate raider who put the interests of the wealthy above those of middle-income voters.
///
The Republican nominee didn’t acknowledge any major missteps and said his team had run a superb campaign.
A clueless arrogant vulture capitalist till the end and the aftermath.
Very sorry about your ankle Chips. wishing you well and a very quick recovery
Ok, Angus King was just on Tv, anounded like a Republucan.
It sounds like he will not be voting party line, less so than Lieberman.
That’s true!
PV lead now close to 4.8 mil and +2.8%.

That’s GREAT news, amk…. hope the upward trend continues!!
3.8 or 4.8?
50.6% to 47.8%
I really really really want that to go down to 47.4%
I am confident we will get there. Lotsa west votes still yet to be counted. My final prediction 51.0 to 47.0.
I am open for 20 bucks.
The numbers vary from site to site. But the percentages are roughly the same.
Good Morning Miss Chips. Good Morning TOD family.
Miss Chips sorry to read about your sick ankle, please take care of it and get better soon.
78k job losses this week- that’s has to be because of Sandy?
