Also live at:
White House live * C-Span
Yes, you, Beverly. Good work!
Way to go :-D
Yes, YOU Bev! :-)
My first! Thank you, Chips. I will never forget my first time :)
:-) 1st time… Congrats.
That’s a great pic. Don’t think I’ve ever seen that one. He looks “youngish” in that one :)
Is that a PacMan type dude eating the apple? Hahahahaha….nice.
Sharp eyes, you!
Wait for me, wait for me! I got lucky and was able to leave work in time to make it back for the President’s news conference.  I|’m soooooo happy.
You noticed.
I was holding the door for you, VC.
Thank you kindly, my dear B! Such thoughtfulness AND service are truly appreciated.
Give Them Hell Mr. President!
Yea what she said
As Harry Truman said “I just tell the truth and they think it’s hell.”
~Jumping like Gollum when he finally steals the One Ring~ ME, ME, ME, IT’S MINE!
Hopefully Mark Knoller will be happy and move on to comparing how many times Obama plays basketball to the amout Reagan and Clinton did
Dying with laughter at myself here, you guys would think I won the lottery I screamed and jumped so hard.
 You DID win the Lottery, Bev!
Honey, I totally understand having done something similar when I won the first time. Victory here is way better than the lottery!
[Cheers, Mr. Messina, & can I tag along?!]:
What’s Messina going to do next? He ain’t going to Disney World.
“I am going to go to Italy and figure out how to become an expert in red wine for a couple weeks,” Messina told reporters shortly after walking out of the West Wing on Tuesday afternoon.
This should be good!
1st? President Obama will kick ass today!
Okay, so I should’ve checked for a new one before I posted at the end of the last post. :-)
@LukeRussert I call BS on your "many Dems privately gripe" abt leadership's age. Likely u talked to 1 idiot & expanded it to many.— Dudette (@Dudette9t9) November 14, 2012
@LukeRussert I'd like some proof that "many Dems" in House think leadership shld be by anyone OTHER than most experienced among them.— Dudette (@Dudette9t9) November 14, 2012
Wife: “You can pick us up some Red Lobster for my birthday.”
Me: “I can’t. We’re boycotting them.”
Wife: “Oh shit, why?”
Me: “They’re laying off people because of Obama’s re-election.”
Wife: “Sometimes I hate rich people.”
:-) Love it LL!
Would give anything for President Obama to turn up for his news conference like this, then blow a kiss at @markknoller http://t.co/Fxxg9sEh— The Obama Diary (@TheObamaDiary) November 14, 2012
John McCain: "Susan Rice not qualified to be SOS bec she's not very bright." AND SARAH PALIN WAS BRIGHT ENOUGH TO BE PRESIDENT?— SportsGirl101 (@Arianna8927) November 14, 2012
How dare this awful, bitter old man.
Amb Susan Rice went to Standford University, won a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University in England and was lauded there for her dissertation thesis
McCain came nearly last in his military college and all of his decisions show what a fundamentally unintelligent blowhard.
McCain came nearly last in his military college and all of his decisions show what a fundamentally unintelligent blowhard he is.
@SenJohnMcCain I honor your bitterness Sir, it's a constant source of delicious delight. #YouLost #TWOTerms Hugs!!— The Obama Diary (@TheObamaDiary) November 14, 2012
What a bitter turd.
Yeah, good thing McCain didn’t get ONE – much less TWO – terms because he would have ordered somebody beheaded by this time. Mean turd.
Never forget that McLoss was senile back in 2008. That’s how he picked up Sarah Palin. His judgement is impaired by old, old age. Luckily for us, not everyone at his age is senile.
And some people thought McLoser might have made a “good” President.
No, thanks, people, we have a GREAT President!
One of the drawbacks of GOP ‘leaders’ is that they never seem to get when their comments or positions actually better describe them. Irony is so lost on ALL of them that it makes me wonder if there is something in the republican trough that they all feed on that warps the mind.
@TheObamaDiary: Also @senjohnmccain constantly inserting yourself into the nat'l dialogue reminds us HOW SMART WE were in '08 to choose PBO.— Vick C. (@sonamie) November 14, 2012
Is it possible the vendetta about Susan Rice is because she’s seen as pretty independent from the establishment ?
They don’t dare go against Hillary Clinton because they know she has many allies on the Hill.
From The Hill:
Democrats don’t have the 51 votes they need in the Senate to change filibuster rules…. Lawmakers leading the charge acknowledge they remain short, but express optimism they’ll hit their goal.
They need just 50 votes. VP Biden would cast the 51st vote.
But it sounds like they might not have all dem’s on board.
I find it strange that these votes are made by the outgoing Congress and not the incoming, unless I’m missing something.
I thought the Senate rules could only be changed the first day of the new session, so we will have fresh blood in there to help get the filibuster reformed.
@stephencrose Brokaw IS a month older than @NancyPelosi, so @LukeRussert agrees w/ you. Wait, Brokaw's a man… Never mind!— Dudette (@Dudette9t9) November 14, 2012
I just love and appreciate our wonderful POTUS. No matter what he is going through, he choose to be firm, working hard, and being so inspirational.
We here in our TOD family will continue to be inspired daily. I am going to choose to find something that our brilliant president gives me daily. I hope we will continue to build on this habit because we are going to have a long road to travel, and we have won and we will prevail together with our president.
The people have spoken and President Barack H. Obama won this one. Let us keep his back.
((((((((((((((( We love you, Mr. President and we are praying for you and your team)))))))))HZ
On Election Day, Republicans Suffered Consequences of Voter Suppression Strategy
By Donna Brazile and Will Crossley
For more than two years Republicans have campaigned and legislated against the right of certain groups of people to vote. On Election Day, Republicans suffered the consequences. The very groups the GOP targeted — among them African Americans, Latinos, and young people — turned out in record numbers, propelling to victory the president and Democrats across the country. The Republicans’ strategy failed because it awakened the most powerful force in a democracy: the determination of the voters themselves.
When the dust settled, the very groups targeted for suppression and intimidation had voted in record numbers. Compared to 2008, African Americans, Hispanics, and people under age 29 all represented a greater share of the national electorate.
On Election Day, we marched to the polls, and persevered lines (Twitter hash tag #stayinline) as long as necessary to cast our ballots. We marched and stood for many reasons–not least among them, the refusal to let others trample on our hard-won rights. Those seeking to do so would be wise to heed this lesson in the years to come.
SCREEEEEEEEEEEEECCCHHHH (rounds corner on two wheels)!!!!!! Wait up O’s!!!! Whew, I nearly missed it! How’s everybody doing on this great getting up day in TODdy town? I can’t wait to see PBO again. It seems like eons have passed since I saw him last.
“SCREEEEEEEEEEEEECCCHHHH (rounds corner on two wheels)!!!!!!”
You. Crack. Me. Up. Cookemom
Thank the Lord you cruised in safely, Cookemom, and that your brakes are in fine shape! ;)
Dear @AmbassadorRice #SenMcCain graduated close to the bottom of his class & selected Sarah Palin. He's far less 'bright' than you. #FORWARD— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) November 14, 2012
Bottom 4th from about 900 Cadets…..Is that what they call Navy graduates?
And he was a legacy admission because his father and grandfather were admirals. Back when affirmative action worked great — for white people. (How Dubya got into Yale.)
He’s nowhere near bright, IMHO.
Get ready for the jackals!
Remember these people are not a match for POB. He read more than they do, he studies more than they do, he does his homework, and he is ahead of them in his thinking process a hell of a way than these rude jackals.
We are going to lean on them every step of the way, and that is one serious way we can support POB in this second term. He is not playing at all. So let us move with him and make his presidency and the people he serves be a beautiful and productive presidency. We Can Do This.
Remember: (((((((((((((((((( Put Good Energies and Decent Efforts Into Our Space.)))))))))))))))))))HZ
This is going to be a Petraeus et. al news conference. Period.
Absolutely. But, no other issue matters, least of all the economy.
Surprise!—2nd question—fiscal cliff!
Jessica Smellin’ is such an ass. asked why Americans should believe PBO wont gave again on the Bush tax cuts.
I yelled at my tv when she asked that question.
can’t believe she used the word ‘caved” bitch.
Fortunately, PBO is a little more gracious than me… I would have waved my bare ass at her, pointing at a ‘Four More Years!’ tattoo.
Sometimes I wish you were president———that would have been SO FUN! Unique!
It’s only a matter of time Dotster!
hahahhahahahahahhahhahahhahahhhahahahhaha!!!!! you’re killing me!!!  I’m in my psychometrics class and my prof is talking about ‘nomological networks’ and I’m laughing. Not a good thing. Thanks, Chips!!! Also, mental image is Hi-larious!!
Are you laughing at my bottom?
hahahhahahhahhahaha!!!
Yelled the same thing. And Chuckie toad got called to ask a ?. I would have ignored him but I guess PBO wouldn’t.
he’s a better person than me.
She said “cave”…to the President. I really hope that PBO writes a smack-down book or two when his term is over and names names.
OK, he seemed to have shut down the Peterlus fascination. Now on to the good part. Oh wait…..did I hear the word ‘cave’ relative to PBO’s accomplishments last time? I do believe he came out ahead. Oh well, to be expected. It sounds trite after what just happened last week.
yep. Jessica Smellin’.
Okay, he looks and sounds great. Great opening….waiting for some substantive questions….how long will that take?
He is doing great as usual.
Yes, Lisa she is indeed. He is not playing with these awful people. They do not deserve to be in a room with such credentials with this brilliant president. But let us keep thinking and doing our research and stand up with him.
When we have concerns, we let him know with respect. These people do not realize that they are ” the people also.” HZ
Lady asking ’bout immigration and lessons learned about the latino vote.
Right Lisa, and she does not even follow his answer.HZ
she is just as much of a hack as the rest.
I see April’s in the room. Wonder if she has a stupid question ready
…give her time. And if she doesn’t, the rest have taken numbas!
Chuck Todd is a fart!HZ
Medical observation — “Never trust a fart.”
ugh. Chuckie Toad. following up on Patraeus and taxes question.
Oh, our POTUS just slapped the crap out of Chuck Toad.HZ
Ugh. I didnt hear that part. silly professor is talking to damned loud and my head phones can’t go any higher :(
Oh god, that is what I just thought. Chuck was just waiting to ask his asinine question. Okay now back to listen to PBO shut him down I hope!
Todd—–Back to Petraeus—–I would have bet a million dollars on this.
Classy: Chuck Todd interrupts President. Four More Years, you worthless turd.— The Obama Diary (@TheObamaDiary) November 14, 2012
BAM!! Take that Up-Chuck! PBO pushed back on Up-Chuck.
Sorry, can’t watch! What did he say? Pretty please! :)
PBO told Up-Chuck that he wanted to wait until the results of the investigation about Petraeus/Allen were concluded before extending judgement; innocent until guilty, etc. Up-Chuck questioned why he was waiting. PBO stated that if intervened in the middle of the investigation, then Up-Chuck would ask “why are you interfering in an active investigation?” Shut ‘er down!
I saw that maybe he’ll sit his ass down now. I’m so disappointed in these so called MSNBC journalists and pundits. Ooh that Dan Rather made me so me. He had the nerve to say President Obama hasn’t reached out to the other side. I see he’s drinking the FAUX kool-aide.
LOL, did the prez just say he forgot MYTH?
Sick of Rather fossil! Looks like I’m missing some fun! Where’s UT?!!! Waaa!
Chuck effing Todd has got to go! Who in the hell does this guy think he effing is!
Chucky Toad WTF do you know about judgement?
CNN's Yellin says 2010 tax deal was an Obama cave-in. Not really. He traded 2-yr extension of W tax cuts for a second stimulus. #Showdown— David Corn (@DavidCornDC) November 14, 2012
@DavidCornDC yellin, is she a journalist? She should maybe do some investigating before she opens her mouth.— Alison Roberts (@wor7d) November 14, 2012
Willard question. Has he called Willard and sat down to talk with you?
Fuck Willard and the horse he came riding in on.
don’t fuck with Rafalca, please. The horse has nothing to do with it’s owner.
That’s true. My bad.
So, dog is out (didn’t survive the trauma), horse is out. Okay, I’ll just fuck with standalone Willard. Ha! Think I’ll just go back to forgetting about him and the Cadillac Ann drove him in on.
 Poor rafalac. we should liberate her from the evil clutches of the Willards!!
She’s probably saying to herself, daily: “Damn that electric fence.”
Freedom for Rafalca!
Nancy Cortes—-from where?—most concerned if PBO has invited Romney over for a glass of milk and some joke telling.
She is from CBS.
Now she’s repeating the trolling that the President doesn’t have cocktails and bowl with politicians enough. And, not surprisingly, the President says that he can do some self-reflection on the topic.
I do not understand how this President can remain so calm. He is the definition of a CLASS ACT!
I like that question. It has to make ol’ Willard and the rest of the ‘Pubs shudder to think PBO gets to hand out the invites, not the other way around.
No, PBO, don’t legitimize anything in Willard’s record. Yuck.
I didn’t hear it, but – if I read you right – that’s all part of the take down, methinks. Kill ‘em with kindness. Then move on to be PRESIDENT for four more years (and I laugh).
yep, stab them with a smile
I’m in. :)
Nancy Cordes translated: Have u contacted Romney yet to ask him how 2 run economy? (Despite fact his ideas were rejected by American people)— The Obama Diary (@TheObamaDiary) November 14, 2012
yep. even shorter: why don’t you abdicate now and let Willard run the country……..
Yet shorter, à la tweet size: Without gaining 100% of the electoral votes, you should hire Romney in your cabinet, do you understand that?
better. PBO, ” invited him to share his plan, he still got nothing”
I greatlt look forward to Key & Peele’s take on this presser. I think Luther might have one or two trenchant comments.
Heifer from CBS harassing PBO about not partying with congress and currying their favors.
PBO defending Susan Rice.
Benghazi and Susan Rice hatred from McCain and Lindsey Graham—-who want “Watergate style hearings”—–question by Jonathan Karl.
Obama making clear adamant defense of reputation of Susan Rice.
OOOHHH! The President is pissed about McCain going after Amb. Rice.
You know that look….well he just gave it.
YES! I love him! “the Buck stops here!” He just gave it to them and he is pissed and I am so proud!
Did you see that look in his eyes when our President said come after me; leave Susan Rice along?
PBO, “Bring it on you mutha, just bring it on you dried up piece of McPieceofshit!”
I’m going to suggest that PBO bring Luther (the Anger Translator) with him to all pressers. (Check out ‘Key & Peele’ on Comedy Central if this doesn’t make sense.)
I think he came close to playing the role of Luther himself in that answer!! LOL
You tell it, Cookemom! LOL!
He’s po’d about Amb Rice.
Love this Susan Rice response. Bring it; he is pissed!!
For anyone who wondered if POTUS would back up Susan Rice, he just answered that question. Old gramps McCain and Lindsey would wet their pants if that actually had to take it up with the President., he made that perfectly clear.
Ed Henry continues Benghazi predictably.
Ed fucking Henry, address family about 911…..is he freaking kidding me?.
Ed Henry and his questions about Benghazi. He’s such a pig.
Mandate—-said he has 1 mandate—-to help middle class families get ahead.
i fucking hate c-span.
Pres Obama on attacks on Susan Rice: "When they go after her because they think she's an easy target, then they've got a problem with me"— The Obama Diary (@TheObamaDiary) November 14, 2012
THIS!!!!!! that’s right, bitter bitches. Be men and step to my face!!!!
I loooooved that answer he gave about Amb. Rice. McCain is a sore loser even with one foot in the grave.
Christie asked sensible questions.
His mother is about 100 now…..McCain bitterly, at 76 or so, might have the Mother’s gene. Only Nature would tell.
That’s a perfect response. “Easy target” implies bullying out of McBully. We all know why grown men bully women.
The people he’s met out on the road while campaigning—-with grit and determination—–they deserve a better government than they’ve been getting.
so damned true.
I love my President, cool, calm , knowledgeable, brilliant, just brilliant. I am embarressed by the stupidity of the WHP. Our President against a room of stupid and he is whooping their asses. A room of us ‘common’ folk could ask more intelligent questions. By the way, John McCain, retire already. You are the one that fed the racisim in this country by way of dufus Palin.
Class act, one reporter actually congratulates her President. She follows by asking a meaningful question.
On Now with Alex Wagner……JoyAnn Reid was spectacular. She used facts and took Dan Rather to school. Dan Rather was spouting his nonsense that pres Obama didn’t have a mandate….And Reid went to historically educate Rather. She told him that 7 of the 44 POTUS were able to get elected by 50% in two terms. And in 100 yrs, ONLY 4 and the 4th was Pres Obama. She he had a mandate. The look on Dan Rather’s face was Just a beauty.
hahahhahhahahhahahhahahahahhahahha!!!! i need to see that clip.
I told that story for YOU Lisa, DF and all our TODville community. It was delicious. I usually don’t watch that show. I usually have radio on at that time.
I really want to see the takedown by Joy of Rachel’s old geezer also. :)
Yes I saw that Nena. JoyAnn was spectacular. She always consistently and accurately pushes back against the noise. Love her.
Lisa wants to see the clip. Can you help get it, Melanie?
Hope this link works. If not, it’s on the msnbc site under the Alex Wagner show.
Thanks….I hope the rest of community get a chance to see it.
We need more JoyAnn Reids.
RT @mitchellreports: Wow Obama flashes anger takes off on McCain and Graham attacks POTUS strongly defends Susan Rice on #Benghazi— Martin Bashir (@BashirLive) November 14, 2012
Look at this Schiller.
she’s an ass. wish she would retire.
Her rubbery faced husband at 89 or whatever could be hard for her to take 24/7?
his 24 year old nurse who he also happens to be banging , wouldn’t want her to retire. she’d ruin his fun.
Oh my goodness……Really? 24 yrs old? Wow.
no. I’m actually making that up but I wouldn’t be surprised if it were true.
I seriously doubt that decrepit old man is banging anything other than his head against a wall.
If you notice my response above, i said I was making it up but wouldn’t be surprised if it were true.
Yes, his answer on Susan Rice was a thing of beauty! McCain and Graham were strongly put in their little places, and shown to be just what they are. Loved that answer!!! Rice was using the info the White House provided…….”come after me. don’t besirch Ambassador Rice’s reputation!” Loved it!!!!
That’s supposed to be shill but iPad….
who cares what Allan Greenspans wife thinks?
Bitter old white man.
Standing up for himself and his cabinet and his policies and his mandate does not make him an ‘angry black man’, you shriveled up old jackass.
she has already picked out the next 24/7 news cycle. she loves mess.
she’s a useless ass.
I tweeted her ass back:
Righteousness does not always signify anger. How about taking off on McCain and Graham, instead of our President? Wow to u.
Beautiful Jacquelineoboomer. I tried to tweet her, but I was blocked. Glad you got in to her. I feel that is what we have to continue to do these likes of Mitchell. Thank you.HZ
:) Guess I’ll be blocked next! As if I care.
Well done, Jacquelineoboomer! These media people are still pissed that President Obama was re-elected.
Ha ha ha – We WON!
Making the point over and over and over—–give 98% of mid. class families, 97% of sm. businesses the certainty that their taxes will not be raised one dime—–saying we can do that right now.
President Obama as strong and tough as I’ve ever seen him. The mandate is to protect and help Middle class and working families and those trying to reach the middle class—-PERIOD. FU and your rich folk’s tax cut. Push me and You Will Lose.
Climate change and gun control. Two areas that are gonna need some serious people power if to be addressed.
Climate change—–good. Weather is warming faster than predicted 10 yrs. ago, arctic ice cap melting faster than predicted 5 yrs. ago. Huge increase in violent weather. PBO said we have an obligation to ourselves and future generations to take steps to make short term progress in stemming the damage, and then with scientists find what we can do for the long term, try to make a serious dent in climate change, to be a global leader in this regard.
Catch up later.
Last question—Reuters—-re. Assad.
I’m not watching the press event. I fucking hate reporters and their stupid ‘tough’ questions and how they relentlessly attack the president.
Frankly, I loved his answer about Romney. He complimented his management of the Olympics for heaven’s sakes! Not his governance of Massachusetts, or his great business sense at Bain, but the Winter Olympics, for which he got a federal bailout. Think about that….that’s the only thing the president could compliment Mitt about. I loved that. I doubt that Mittens accepts an invitation from the President.
i had the same thought about the 2002 olympics getting federal money…i laughed out loud in fact when our president said that. subtle, but cutting remark!
Thank you Carolyn. I totally came away with the same reaction to his answer. I will trust POB on this issue. “Federal Bailout,” jumped out at me also. POB knows where he is going with this. You read it dead on, Carolyn. Thank you for your comment.HZ
You call this damned by faint praise. My (okay, Our) PBO is something else.
Loved, loved, LOVED his defense of Susan Rice…President Whoopsomeass…
sure sounded like susan rice is the frontrunner for state job, didn’t it? he threw down the gauntlet for her and said he’s ready for that fight. bring it, you republican traitors to america!
Did you catch the yelled out question after the press conference closed? His response was CLASSIC: “That was a GREAT question, but it would set a horrible precedent if I answered it since you yelled it out.” BARACK-A-BOOM!
The only adult in the room.
Epic moment from the press conference.
Pres. Obama SMACKS DOWN John McCain and Lindsey Graham for trying to railroad Amb. Rice on Benghazi. youtu.be/dkjNky1QSco— Nerdy Wonka (@utaustinliberal) November 14, 2012
Hello UT……I LOVE your instant tweeting capabilities….
I was so missing your tweets, UT!
What a man, what a man, what a mighty fine man!!!
Yeaah! And we got him as president and world leader for 4 more years! /sigh of contentment/
Presidentwhoopsomeass and BARACK-A-BOOM … yep, those are the two facets of this man I want to see lots more of in the next 4 years …
And he does it with such style and grace!
Okay, it’s officlal: I quite like President Obama
Line forms to the left!
I guess I am third!
FIRST on the right! /starting my own line/ ;) I quite like him also, too.
He’s a real up and comer!!
Seriously ? Quelle surprise.
No wonder you have such massive following. You are definitely not alone.
That was beautiful! I am not a smoker but after that smack down of the jackals, McCain and Graham, I need a cig or chocolate!
and McUhoh needs to change his Depends after ‘that one’ caused him to empty his bladder. Lindsey’s voice went up an octave.
This smack down of Ed Henry and Chuck Todd was brilliant. Welcome to the second term white house press corps.
Pres. Obama to Ed Henry of Fox News: "I will address the families not through the press, but directly, like I already have." #BURN #Benghazi— Nerdy Wonka (@utaustinliberal) November 14, 2012
Pres. Obama to Chuck Todd: "If I answer your question, then later, you'll ask me why I interfered in an on going investigation." #BURN— Nerdy Wonka (@utaustinliberal) November 14, 2012
Are these tweets from you, UT?
Just to tangent for a moment; do you realize how lucky we are to be alive now? We’ve done without a strong, smart, inspirational national leader for so long that I, for one, lost the expectation of those qualities in a president. I’ve been numb since the Reagan years. Clinton was a smart president, but fell short. JFK was the standard I used. I tried explaining what it was like to my 30’s godson, but since he never experienced it, all he could do smile and nod.
But PBO changed everything…EVERYTHING! His story, his campaign, his marriage, just BO being BO has been a second breath for me (and lot others). I have done all that I could to support this president partly for selfish reasons. For the first time in my adult life, I feel FULLY invested in where we are going as a nation.
(…steps off soapbox.)
I think of this often. One of the very finest presidents in American history — at a very important critical moment in history, dealing with multiple crises and rapid change. I am so inspired and so heartened.
JFK got assassinated before he could get any real meaningful change in. I suspect he would have a been a great president. Clinton was a great one as well but I like Obama a lot more as a person and think he’s a better president than Clinton for a lot of reasons.
namely PBO’s efficient and he runs his team a lot more effectively than Clinton did. The Monica scandal really screwed Clinton as well not to mention made him a lame duck in his last term.
“For the first time in my adult life, I feel FULLY invested in where we are going as a nation.”
Absolutely. Have been saying the same to myself and all of my friends and colleagues ever since I began supporting him before the Nov 2008 election. The only other candidate for President, after I became eligible to vote, who inspired me in a similar manner was RFKJr.
POTUS strongly & appropriately smacks down McCain and Graham for their shameless, dishonest attacks on Susan Rice, a great public servant.— David Axelrod (@davidaxelrod) November 14, 2012
Even Axe approves of the smackdown. :) Love that team!!!!
PBO makes excellent appointments. For example, Hillary has been a great SOS because the President didn’t have to worry about what was going on in the State Dept. He knew he’d hear what was necessary. Same with Susan Rice. He didn’t have to be concerned with the day-to-day stuff that goes on at the UN. He knew Rice would report only what was important.
He’ll think long and hard about a new CIA head. The CIA has always been a simmering caldron of intrigue, fakery, conspiracy nuts, and weirdos. Finding someone who can put a lid on it AND KEEP IT THERE will not be easy. But I have confidence that PBO will find the right person.
shorter obama to loser mccain/lindsey: come at me, bro.— Oliver Willis (@owillis) November 14, 2012
PBO is just so damn smart, but also operates in Reality Land. When he said “we’ve read all the literature about ‘presidential overreach’ in the second term”, that was a pre-emptive strike.
When he talked about the message he consistently got from the American people during the campaign, that he went through specific examples of their grit, determination, etc., I was convinced that he indeed loves the American people.
When I saw him in Boulder the Thursday before the election he said, “I might do things you won’t agree with. But you guys know me. You KNOW me.” And the crowd had this powerful surge of agreement and applause, because he GETS us. We GET him. He consistently set decorum in this press conference. The questions! That one reporter saying, “…how can you convince the American people — and the republicans…” What? is she EVEN pretending to be a JOURNALIST or a shill?
Chuck Toad, David Gregory, and the other bumbling MSNBC idiot stop your besmirching. How dare the three of you to say the President had 3 chances to answer about the investigation and his judgement. President Obama has made it perfectly clear until the investigation is over he will reserve his judgement. What part of that is so difficult to understand?
Who was the loser who yelled out the question at the end?
i loved how PBO heard him out and then politely told him he wouldn’t answer, then walked away.
It was perfect……..great answer.
Lindsey Graham is whining. Ball-less twerp.
Bush & 9/11? Why the silence? RT @GrahamBlog Mr. President, don’t think for one minute I don’t hold you ultimately responsible for #Benghazi— Nerdy Wonka (@utaustinliberal) November 14, 2012

He didn’t like the little smackdown.
Lindsey Graham @GrahamBlog

I just noticed that UT posted it…
Yea good point, what about 911 and Bush?……
