White House live * CBS * CNN
Woot! Woot! for you.
Thanks, UT:) I lucked out.
GM Chips and everyone.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I like it! TY, Chipness:)
Congrats to df!!!!!!!
And, Chips, it’s actually “Five More Trees” :)
Helloooooooooooooo Bob! You know me, I can’t add …. but is it not four more trees? :???:
Well, Chips, it’s this one + 4 more ;)
I’m not embarrassed!!!!! (Yes I am). I had it my blank head that President Malia would be in charge in November 2016. I need a new calculator. #arithmetic
:D :D :D
You’re soooooo funny, Chips!!
It’s my arithmetic that’s funny Bob, thank you for not laughing at me. Five more years!
Congrats on first df.
Looks like it’s going to be a beautiful nation’s tree!
Wonder if it’s the “right height?”
couldn’t help myself.
Throughout his trip in South East Asia he was constantly on the phone with both Morsi and Netanyahu, before and after his meetings with the leaders of China and Japan. The president even made time to speak with both leaders during a dinner held as part of a summit of East Asian leaders.
His goal – creating the conditions needed for a ceasefire. Publically he praised Morsi and Netanyahu, and behind the scenes he was pressuring them to bring the conflict between Israel and Hamas to an end.
Egyptian incentive, American sentiment
Morsi, for those who don’t recall, needs money- and lots of it.
The Egyptian economy is on the brink of collapse and the newly elected president is no longer a member of the underground opposition but rather a president who now has 85 million mouths to feed. Obama can grant him financial aid and help him receive additional funds from the IMF.
Obama and other high ranking American officials, such as Hillary Clinton and Leon Panetta, have warned their Egyptian counterparts that Egypt is at risk of losing its aid from Congress, which is beginning to lose patience with Egypt.
WOOOOOOOT!!!! FLOTUS and the girls!!!!
I am so thankful that I don’t have to see Ann Romney and her five grown sons walking out there to welcome the Christmas tree. Thank-you! Thank-you! Thank-you! Thank-you! Thank-you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG, way way way THANKFUL, yes.
YouTube streaming has started
Morning everybody! Bo did not like the horses, especially once they started to get fidgety. He was like: “Sasha! Girl, get me away from these huge four legged beasts!”  poor Bo. What a sweety! :)
The poor fella was terrified!!!
I can’t see it. Video is marked private and I can’t find it on CNN or White House Live :(
Nevermind. I saw part of it but not the part with Bo. I love, love how FLOTUS is training the girls to execute their social responsibilities. She is amazing. The girls are beautiful and gracious and kind, just their amazing mom and dad.
Opps! Last part should “JUST LIKE THEIR AMAZING MOM AND DAD!”
Christmas already? I am still cleaning up from Thanksgiving. I love all the great photos. Just what I need to get in the mood for Christmas.
Good morning Chips and TOD family. I am moving very slowly this morning. I missed the tree arrival. I know I video will be up shortly. Now to finish cleaning up last nights dinner and get ready for our big family dinner tonight at our son’s. I love Christmas but not ready for it yet. Hope everyone has a nice lazy day today.
Good West Coast morning Chipsticks :-)
I tried to view the video above and on UTube and it’s marked Private.
I’ll use desertflower’s “Chipness” to say good morning to ya, Chipness! And TODville. On the day after!
My visiting granddaughter said to me the other day when I was trying to watch MSNBC, “Why are you still watching the political stuff? He won!” Uh, duh, followed by a little lesson in presidential loyalty from me! :)
Funny Jacqueline, my son just said the same thing to me.
They don’t “get it.” Ha!
Follow the child…
It’s okay – I “limit” myself! (As if.)
Bo! He is so dog-goned adorable! :)
Pool: The president is playing golf today with Marvin Nicholson, Walter Nicholson and Eugene Kang.— Zeke Miller (@ZekeJMiller) November 23, 2012
Excellent. Funny they needed the entire pool to keep us informed of something we might have figured out for ourselves. Glad the Prez is enjoying his “day off.”
I bet Walter is Marvin’s dad! I love how PBO does the whole old thing with his staff! Other people would probably just invite bigwigs and money men. PBO invites his staff. Fricking awesome!!
He probably wants a good golf game more than anything and fawning sycophants and people trying to work an angle just get in the way.
Good for POTUS. Where is Mark Knoller complaining?
I am live this Sunday on NBC's Meet the Press at 9 am est live nationwide. It airs 10 30 am est in NY and DC.— Reverend Al Sharpton (@TheRevAl) November 23, 2012
Now, that I will watch. And I never watch MTP.
@TheRevAl Hope you had a great Thanksgiving, especially with #PBO in the WH for 4 More!! Compassionate of you to bring some viewers to #MTP.— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) November 23, 2012
Oh, Bob, throwing in that “compassionate” was great! I like your rapier style!
!! :-D RT @erniebufflo: Awesome. “@carrozo: This is why people have kids. http://t.co/Tez6tOAV”— Kristen (@abba_ks) November 23, 2012
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA……I swear, half the time parents have kids is so they can dress them up in costumes and act out fantasies. The picture is so cute.

The WH Christmas Tree is a 19-foot Fraser fir grown at Peak Farms in Ashe County, NC. Top foot or two has to be trimmed to fit in Blue Room.— Mark Knoller (@markknoller) November 23, 2012
Two people (of a bunch) I believe in: Santa and President Obama.
One person who offers not-so-much believable stuff: Markie Knoller. Like if he says it’s 19 ft., I say prove it, fella! :)
Im speechless. Greatest workspace wallpaper ever! http://t.co/ibd1dmIc— itjustcomes2ez2me (@kanerane2001) November 22, 2012
This 2010 video shows what it takes to prepare the Blue Room for the Christmas tree:
Good Morning all. Hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving. Hubby and daughter are at work. I worked last night from 2am until 7am. I had to get up at 11am to take my daughter to work. Pharmacy was closed but they needed someone to work the Service Desk. The shift called for someone they knew would show up. I am there for guest questions, returns, money and cashier issues. I twiddled my thumbs for 4 hours. The other hour I did just a little work. Had a great time talking with my co-workers….
Chips, thank you again for giving me a place to go with such a great TOD Family. I check in here 1st thing every morning and several times throughout the day.,
Happy thanksgiving to all TOD pals. Off topic but just wanted to share this observation – Marco Rubio sounds just like Daffy Duck when he speaks. He really does.
How dare you insult Daffy Duck like that, I like Daffy.
THANK YOU forus50, desertflower, Bobfr, jackiegrumbacher, HZ, jaquelineoboomer, for your words of support and thanks…LOVE THIS COMMUNITY! The dinner yesterday went really well, lots of great food (I’d never done Thanksgiving at a restaurant, and it was unbelievable the lack of stress about cooking!), all around lovely experience. We told stories about Mom, who passed away three years ago now (remember my original story of her saying “Barrrr-ack!” with her italian accent, she really loved him), we all over-ate — as per usual. The only thing political that came up was my liberal brother in law was talking about the lush agriculture in the valley in California where he grew up and I mentioned being disappointed that Prop 37 hadn’t passed. He asked, “oh really, what’s that?” I kept it light, saying oh, it was just so that GMOs could be labeled.” My niece pipes in, without missing a beat, “But that would cost too much money!” And I said, very calmly, “Yeah, but, shouldn’t people know what they are getting?” And her conservative father agreed with me (!)…Also good conversation with my niece’s boyfriend, also conservative, who hadn’t heard of the Dust Bowl and I told him about the brilliant Ken Burns doc which aired recently (and if you go to pbs.org, you can view both episodes in their entirety).
Good Day all you O’s!!!!! What a great day after Thanksgiving getting up day in TOD town……burp….
New post everyone:
The video is marked as private for me. I tried three different browsers (safari, google chrome and foxfire) but to no avail. Any ideas?
