Thanks Dudette! I had to LOL at myself.
Not first, but very close! FLOTUS looks like a queen.
Yes she does Mary! She’s our Golden Girl!!
That she is. Most assuredly! Goodness gracious, she’s beautiful!
FLOTUS looks amazingly beautiful.and the PRES is looking mighty handsome his self.
That is so true. Four more years of her inspiration.
could i be #2 twice in one day?

Thank you Chips…They are beyond gorgeous!!!..I know in my country we will call ‘em “King and Queen”
For first time, Britain, France may recall ambassadors in protest at Israel’s settlement construction
Moves against Israel will be made in next the few days following Netanyahu’s decision to move ahead on construction in E1 and build 3,000 housing units in settlement blocs east of Jerusalem, say senior European diplomats.
“This time it won’t just be a condemnation, there will be real action taken against Israel,” a senior European diplomat said.
And, Bibi can forget about calling PBO and whining because I doubt if that call would be answered, now …
The whole world saw Netanyahu siding with Romney, and the whole world saw Romney stating that there was no chance for peace in Israel. The whole world saw Romney supported by that billionaire extremist, Sheldon Adelson, and the whole world saw Romney fundraising in Israel. And the whole world supports President Obama. The mask is off. As long as Netanyahu continues his extreme agenda, then the world doesn’t really have a reason to support Israel and it’s occupation and subjugation of the Palestinians. Netanyahu and his extremist allies created this mess – they pushed the world’s support away from them. They made it clear they weren’t serious about peace, and they are the ones who disrespected President Obama. And they’re going to have to figure out how to fix it.
Could not be said better!
I agree Theo but I think he is pissed that PBO gotta elected and now the europeans including british are ignoring him. I think this was done for his re-election bid. unfortunately the israels cannot see how bad this man is for them. I get the feeling that PBO has told the europeans to do this as not even his own congress backed him up when he was being dissed by bibi.
Bibi is so out of control that he doesn’t seem to care that the WHOLE WORLD is watching. I have no sympathy for what he brings on his Country. WAKE UP Israel !
There are some people who excuse the violence perpetrated against the Palestinian people by saying that they voted for Hamas; those same people should now look at Netanyahu and say that the Israelis need to deal with the consequences of the man they’ve voted into power and the extremists who support him – both in Israel and in the US. The truth is, neither set of extremists is doing any good for the people they are supposed to serve.
I hope they do recall them. Enuff with Nutandyahoo’s shenanigans. He doesn’t want peace, just the opposite. No more coddling him. And we should pull any financial support too.
Quick story on a Sunday Blues Night in Chicago and in DC. :) Here in Chicago in the South loop area is Buddy Guy’s Lounge and a few years ago, maybe 10 actually…I went there with about 5 good friends after having been partaking at a few other places and should have already been home. Late, late. Anyway, one of my friends who drinks a little too much, too fast didn’t have her ID with her so the rest of us were like fine, she’s done for the night as they wouldn’t let her in. Well, not so lucky…about an hour later she calls and she’s outside WITH her ID but with no cash for the taxi. OMG, it probably cost her $40 roundtrip and no idea why she came back as she really doesn’t listen to music. Anyway. So I had to go out to pay her damn taxi fare so asked the old guy at the end of the bar to watch my drink. Once back in as we were listening to the band I asked one of the guys I was with if Buddy Guy was still alive. He looks at me like I have 3 heads and says, “yeah you idiot. And not only alive but over there sitting at the end of the bar”. Ouch. Yup, the “guy” I had asked to watch my beer; mr. nice guy Buddy Guy.
Live and learn!!!
that’s a great story, forus. some of the best ones come from situations that weren’t fun at the time! :)
LOL, the girl just wanted to have fun!!! But that’s a cool story. Did you get a chance to thank him for watching your drink?
I did thank him of course when I came back in as I would anyone who watched my beer!. Lol —-way too embarrassed to even make eye contact once I found out.
LOL!! I’m sure he would have been cool about it.
Nancy Pelosi! (White House, Dec 2) http://t.co/3qdKXDoD— The Obama Diary (@TheObamaDiary) December 03, 2012
Is that Tom Hanks whom she’s conversing?
I thought it was Jimmy Kimmel. Could be Tom Hanks, though.
No that is not Tom Hanks.
Nope, that’s Jimmy Kimmel’s bald spot.
what a whiner/ wiener.
‘ Mitt Romney’s been running for president more or less constantly since some time in 2006, and Philip Rucker reports that he’s having some difficulty adjusting to the life of the ordinary mult-millionaire. For example, “there’s no aide to make his peanut-butter-and-honey sandwiches.” ‘
OMG! That DRESS!!! FLOTUS is stunning, absolutely STUNNING!
It is a work of artistic genius by Michael Kors. It fits FLOTUS perfectly. Can’t wait to see what she rocks on inauguration.
I’m with you, UT. And just a fashion aside, FLOTUS is a very image savvy. It’s not so much that she’s contributed ONE style (think Pillbox hat, 3 strands of pearls, a special shade of red, etc.), but she pushed the boundaries of style to include anything-from-any-source-worn-anyway-that-looks-good on you. It’s been an exciting and liberating fashion journey.
Oh…and the best part is she totally dissed Oscar de la Renta when he criticized several outfits of FLOTUS. But she got him back because she not only never wore any Oscar, but she has worn his son;s label, Moises de la Renta, several times! Ouch!!!!!
I’ve been addicted to Project Runway so was impressed by the dress too and wondered who designed it. Seeing MK or PR all the time it is nice to see some of his work.
Hay, to hell with what the Republicans think. Meet our King Barack and Queen Michelle. To darn bad it’s only 4 More Years.
I agree with you all, FLOTUS looks love-ly.
I love Nancy’s cute haircut. She and Hillary have been wearing big smiles on their faces lately….hmmmmm….could they be happy?????
Buddy Guy deserves this recognition and I’m glad that he’s alive and well to be receiving it. He looks GOOD!!! God bless Buddy Guy!
Dang! We have to wait until Dec 26 to see tonight’s Kennedy Center Honors program! Harrrumph!
The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announced the selection of the individuals who will receive the Kennedy Center Honors of 2012. Recipients to be honored at the 35th annual national celebration of the arts are: blues guitarist and singer Buddy Guy; actor Dustin Hoffman; comedian and television host David Letterman; ballerina Natalia Makarova; and rock band Led Zeppelin: bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones, guitarist Jimmy Page, and singer Robert Plant.
The Honors Gala, produced by George Stevens Jr. and Michael Stevens, will be broadcast on CBS as a two-hour prime-time special on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
I think I saw Morgan Freeman.
I never use to watch the Kennedy Center Honors, but since President Obama has been in office, I have been really enjoying watching them. Plus I really enjoy seeing what FLOTUS is wearing.
Yes, you did see Morgan Freeman, Anniebella. Our FLOTUS is so elegant and beautiful. Brilliant mind and lovely First Lady. Let us enjoy these next four years. What a gracious blessing we have been given.
((((((((((((((((((((( Thank you Chips.)))))))))))))))))))) You are spoiling us, but we love it. HZ
Amen Amen Amen, HZ.
‘ Hillary Clinton is running for President. And the Israeli political class is a full-blown train wreck. These are two conclusions, for whatever they are worth, based on a three-day conference I attended this weekend at the annual Saban Forum, in Washington, D.C.
Hillary Clinton was the main speaker. In a packed ballroom of the Willard Hotel, she was greeted with a standing ovation and then a short, adoring film, a video Festschrift testifying to her years as First Lady, senator, and, above all, secretary of state. The film, an expensive-looking production, went to the trouble of collecting interviews with Israeli politicians—Benjamin Netanyahu, Ehud Barak, Tzipi Livni—and American colleagues, like John Kerry. Tony Blair, striking the moony futuristic note that was general in the hall, said, “I just have an instinct that the best is yet to come.” ‘

I was a Hillary supporter at the beginning of the 2008 campaign. I am not convinced that Hillary could have beaten John McCain. Sounds like that crowd at this event are in an echo chamber, and they don’t realize that every voting American gets to vote for the next President – four years from now. I certainly wouldn’t be taking any recommendations from the old guard that includes Netanyahu or Tony Blair. It sounds like the past. This country is moving forward, isn’t it? If Hillary is going to trade off her old connections, and bring all those old fogies back with their backward ideas, then there’s no way she wins. Especially after eight years of forward-thinking by President Obama, bringing a refreshing change of thinking to Washington. Hillary would do well to spend these next four years creating new connections, and ridding her of the old codgers whose time has long since passed.
I could not agree with you more, Theo. I heard that Mark Penn was with Clinton at the Democratic convention. Huh?
With that old crew trailing behind her Hillary has no chance at all.
If she didn’t have all that old baggage, she could have been a great president – look at how wonderfully she’s worked with President Obama. But, I really think that whole old guard – from the left and the right – need to make way for fresh thinking people. I’ve had my eye on Kristen Gillibrand and Gov O’Malley. We need people who are close enough to the current generations so they can actually relate to the things that the current generation finds important.
I think Hillary has been a great SOS but I also agree we need to move on. I don’t like dynasties. I also think she is too DLC and we need to get away from the old and find someone new. I do admire her, just don’t think she would do as the President.
Let me make a confession. If both VP Joe Biden and SoS Hillary Clinton decide to run in 2016 my #1 choice will be Joe Biden. I love Joe Biden’s honesty and his down to earth mannerism. I also think that he has been a terrific VP. I am also very impressed with two governors: MD’s governor, Martin O’Mally and MA governor, Duvall Patrick. Of course if SoS Hillary Clinton ends up winning the Democratic party’s nomination I will be behind her 100%
I don’t think Hillary will run. I do think that anyone who does run will have to run specifically on extending and continuing to fulfill the work Obama has begun. What the old guard that you find on Tweety’s show doesn’t understand is that the party is no longer their fief. It is Obama’s party now; a whole generation of Democratic activists and politicians will have grown up in the Age of Obama, and the coalition which undergirds the party will expect that its standard bearers continue his work. Hillary has done amazing work as SoS. But her time has passed.
I totally agree with you and mtmarilyn – Hillary has been a fantastic SOS. Let her retire. Or join a foundation of some sort. Her time in governmental power is done.
I agree with LL and theo about Hillary. For one thing, she will be 69 years old in 2016. That is out of reach of the coming generations. I too admire her greatly, and want her to go out on a high note, not bruised from a horrible presidential campaign. Right now she’s admired all over the world. Quit while you’re ahead!!! There are a number of younger possibilities, both male and female. We have to keep moving forward.
I think Hillary is going to be put on the Supreme Court…just a matter of time.
I don’t think Hillary will end up on the Supreme Court. I think the President gave her the honour of being the top Cabinet Secretary and building a final legacy that she can be proud of. I think he’s going to put really progressive and fair people, who don’t owe any favours to anyone, on the Supreme Court.
I agree, totally.
If President Obama nominates a third woman to sit on the U.S. Supreme Court that would indeed be a major historic event. He would be the only President who nominated 3 women–1/3 of the court membership– to the Supreme Court. It would also be a clear and unmistakable affirmation that the President truly respects women and believes in gender equality.
This is true – and I get your point, but I think that the President has already affirmed that he truly respects women and believes in gender equality. Two of the three women currently on the Supreme Court were nominated by him. And there’s a multitude of evidence affirming his commitment to women and our rights.
theo, I love your take on Hillary, and I agree w/ everything you’ve said, including other prospective Dem nominees for 2016. Also, I’m hoping for a younger Supreme Court nominee than Hillary, next time the opportunity becomes available. She’d be great, but we’re going to need more longevity.
I tend to listen to people. Given that tendency, what I’ve heard loud and clear from Secretary Clinton is that she has no intention of running for anything.
Until SHE says otherwise, all the rest of this stuff is just more of the typical #NEWSTAINER, pundidiot claptrap.
Bob, as always, you make so much common sense. I think we must all heed your advice: “Until she (SoS, H. Clinton) says otherwise, all the rest of this stuff is just more typical #NEWSTAINER pundidiot claptrap.”
Thank you, nath. Hope you’ve had a good weekend!
Beautiful dress, beautiful people. Thanks so much, Chips!
David Letterman looks so tickled to be there. I caanot wait to see the presentations.
Thanks for the photos, Chips.
Good night everyone and have a wonderful week.
Good night Ceb :-)

Still looking for pics, back soon!
FLOTUS is beautiful! She is also very vibrant! I love the way she pays attention to all the people she meets.
Who let the dogs out?!!! LOL!!
So our Doggie Goddess came by this afternoon to give us a complimentary training session. Stewie is WIPED OUT. And she actually knows what she’s doing, unlike the dog trainer we had in January. It’s going to be a great New Year, with Stewie better trained (he’s starting his terrible twos now), wife on the path to health, and Barack Obama in control.
Sounds like a good report all around LL !
What a beautiful festive evening!! POTUS and FLOTUS are positively REGAL!! Morgan Freeman, Lenny Kravitz, Nancy Smash all look like they’re have fun. SO looking forward to the broadcast.
Again, Faith Hill is HAWT!
What a beautiful evening. Wish we all were there. But we can take pride and joy in that fact that we had the joy of re-electing our president.
Four more years of beautiful moments to place in our “Historical Spaces of Brilliance, and Elegance.” Enjoy everyday of it TOD Family.
Send out hugs to Fred tonight and Jackie’s sister. I hope that they both will be able to check in and see the beauty that our angel, Chips has provided for our eyes to behold. Love you so much, Chips. Thank you, thank you, and thank you. HZ
Thank you, HZ. I have checked in to see the beauty and it’s a delight to behold. Our first couple are just the most beautiful in the world. They lift you up just looking at them. HZ, you are the sweetest person in the world and I bless you for keeping everyone in your heart. Hope you, too, are feeling well.
Love seeing them together. It feels like forever. They just warm my heart as a couple and Michelle looks like she is the angel on top of the most beautiful Christmas tree. What a stunning gown!
BTW…too bad hand kissing has gone out of style. It is an elegant homage to an art form of incredible grace. You go Dave!
I was thinkin’ the same thing. You go, Dave, with the handkissing. yes. xoxox
‘cept when it some ole nasty, lizard-lipped ole perv doing it to a woman that does NOT WANT THAT. Otherwise…..
wholesale change in the dynamics there….
Yes, the kissing of hands is a very gallant act – it should never have gone out of style.
Ok, I have to leave this wonderful party.
Thank you Chipsticks!
Have a great evening TOD family
Good night, GGail!
beautiful photos chips! you’re the bestest blogess!
OHHHHHH MYYYYY Gooooodness…Flotussssssss….is beautiful…..is stunning….. :-D

If you’re going to kiss anyone’s hand, it should be that of a prima ballerina.
O/T: Check out this email I got earlier today. Shows the OFA group is continuing to “do it’s thing” and put pressure on Congress. I just finished my letters and emailed them to the lady mentioned. This whole thing is so empowering!
r Democrats who want to change Washington’s work,
President Obama needs our help in his now-campaign to clinch what we won on November 6. Timing is of the essence. (below)
TACTIC is Drone analogy: get in, hit hard, get out, move to next issue.
ISSUE is Bush Tax Cuts
ACTON is Write a letter that will be hand delivered Wednesday to our Representative and Senators.
Please write an email to our TN Senators & US Rep today to find the middle ground on a tax deal.
Note: TIME or Newsweek names Sens. Corker & Alexander from TN as two of the FOUR key national leaders to negotiate the budget deal.
I attach a sample letter from John Bohstedt.
Please do 3 things:
1. Download it and make it your own:
(change name to yours; put your address in the letter body; change the Senator’s names>>>
<< If you can change the words a little, even better, but don't fuss, just get it off.) This is not the letter I wrote but is good and saves me time this morning.
2. Email COPIES of your letters to June Jones at firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday night. If you cannot send Monday, she can download on Tuesday in Hotel. This plan just came up and is the reason for short notice.
June Jones, who captained our Knoxville Obama For America Election Team so well, is going to Washington Tuesday to visit our Senators & Duncan .
We want her to go with a fistful of physical letters from E TN, so Pres Obama & the Senators know we are here – not "Oops our servers crashed." or "Never heard from voters."
3. Send this to Your friends & networks.
This needs to be sent to June by Monday. If you cannot, please send on Tuesday and she can download in her hotel room on Tuesday night.

That opening line cracked me up Dudette – I mean, how DO you link from a ballerina to Led Zep?!
Well, if you ever watched “The Song Remains the Same”, you’d know that Robert Plant and male ballet dancers both have a thing for showing their packages through their pants.
Bwahahaha! Can you imagine POTUS and the speechwriters trying to figure out how to get THAT into a speech?!! ROFL!!
That is just hilarious. But youare soooo right. LOL

I wonder what his TV wife P. Heaton thinks.
Please don’t remind us about that Heaton woman. My blood pressure still rises with anger when I think of her and her baseness.
OY. it’s because of her that I can’t watch reruns of that show on TV Land. Horrible woman. To think, I used to love that show. :(
I never liked that show precisely because of her. She was a shrill harpy, just like in real life.
I never watched that show. Once I found out what a hateful piece of work that woman is, I was glad I didn’t.
I used to watch Everyone loves Raymond, and I liked Heaton’s character, but since I saw the out and out hatred in her I refuse to watch it anymore. I will not watch it ever again.
Pool: Foo Fighters, Lenny Kravitz and Kid Rock paid musical tribute to Led Zeppelin. Kid Rock????— Zeke Miller (@ZekeJMiller) December 03, 2012
David Rubenstein, chairman of the Kennedy Center“This stage always available to you if you ever want to finish that Al Green song,” he said.— Zeke Miller (@ZekeJMiller) December 03, 2012
POTUS has four more years, maybe one year he will take Rubenstein up on his offer and finish that Al Green song.
Four more years to decide.
I’ll finish it…”Whatever you want to do, is alright with mee-eeeh-eeeeh!”
Still trying to decide if Kid Rock supported Romney because he wanted his lame music spread to a wider audience or whatever. Either way….what a dweeb. I do love Pres. Obama’s response to him.
Washington (CNN) – Musician Kid Rock, who was a celebrity surrogate for Mitt Romney, said President Barack Obama wasted no time in jokingly acknowledging their campaign rivalry Sunday.
“It was nice. I saw the president tonight. He said, ‘I’m still here.’ I said, ‘No hard feelings,’ ” Rock said, laughing.
Earlier Sunday, Rock attended a White House reception with Obama and this year’s Kennedy Center Honors award recipients.
Speaking to CNN on the red carpet after the reception and before the ceremony in Washington, Rock said it was hard to see his candidate lose the election but added “it felt great” to have his music played on the campaign trail for Romney.
“It’s tough to stand up for something you believe in. Believe me, especially in my business. I alienated a lot of fans and people,” Rock said.
“But I believe if you don’t stand for something, you don’t stand for nothing,” he added.
What a quote: “if you don’t stand for something, you don’t stand for nothing”… What exactly is that supposed to mean? He stood for Romney – that’s inexcusable, given what Romney stands for. Better to have stood for nothing.
Oh, I hope Luther has a word or two to say about that.
You lost me with that reference… :?
Wasn’t Luther’s quote “if you don’t stand for something, you’ll stand for anything”? Do you think that’s what this Kidd Rock was going for? It got lost in the translation from genius to fool (the fool being Kidd Rock), I guess.
Luther, Obama’s Anger Translator. Go to YouTube and revel in the clips.
Ah – I see. Thanks for clarifying!
So Kid Rock..What exactly do you stand for? Please do tell.
Selling his crappy music.
So you think Kid Rock music is crappy. Really? I agree.
Sorry to break it to you > Kid Rock. You didn’t have Nothing to stand on in the first place…Only One standing Is President Barack Hussein Obama…keep pushing your lousy music…
is that a way for kid rock to say ” now obama supporters you can buy my music”?. I wonder who he onvited him to this gala?
He was there as a guest of his mother …
He did stand for nothing ~ aka Romney.
Speaks volume about Kid Rock, because what did he stand for, a flip flopping liar, who thinks 47% of Americans are lowlife free loaders who won’t take responsibility for their lives.
So, on the menu for tonight:
Fettucine with homemade meat sauce
Caesar salad (not home made, made from a kit. I’m not THAT good)
Washed down with the better part of a bottle of Malbec
Late dinner? I could have done with a glass of your Malbec. Was too lazy to go out and get wine tonight, so treating myself to ice cream, instead.
Just finished. We had a late lunch. Were too busy training Stewie this afternoon.
I enjoy reading about your and your fam…LL,,,and i enjoy reading your pieces…reading your piece on the Church took to my own issues with the Church…it did not make me an atheist but i could relate to where it led you…
LL, I can’t cook but I love good food. I rarely comment on your food posts, but I always wish I was your guest to taste all your fabulous menus. By the way, I hope your Mrs. is fully recovered and is right by your side enjoying with you the delicious food and wine.

Iraq state run TV says the Head of al-Qaeda in #Iraq Abu Baker al-Baghdady was arrested north of #Baghdad— Zaid Benjamin (@zaidbenjamin) December 02, 2012
Baghdad (CNN) — A high-ranking leader of al Qaeda in Iraq was arrested Sunday, officials said.
There was conflicting information as to whether it was the head of the group or another senior leader.
State-run al-Iraqiya TV said Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was arrested by the country’s National Counterterrorism Force in northern Baghdad.
But two senior security officials told CNN the man arrested was another senior leader of the group, which has been behind numerous attacks in the country.
They said they were not revealing his name for security reasons.
This may be late news, but I just read that the 2012 Kennedy Center Honors gala will be broadcast on CBS on December 26, 2012 at 9:00-11:00 p.m., ET/PT.

Well, then, here’s some music for Joey Biden, from our generation (although I’m practically a baby compared to him) and since I’ve had a crush on him for decades (“too long”)!
Nice one! :-)
Coming from you (with your great musical choices), I really appreciate that you liked it! :)
Aw, thanks! Now I’m blushing!
Otis is one of my mom’s favorites. His music was playing in our house OFTEN as I coming up. I think he made mom feel better when Dad was away at war (Vietnam) all that time.
That war was a terrible time, as is every war. Glad your Mom got some peace and enjoyment from his music, while your Dad was away. This song, in particular, is still good for the soul. Sigh.
Yep, Dad did 4 agonizing tours.
Couldn’t agree with you more about Otis’ music.
God bless your Dad and all the others for their service! (Trouble with Otis’ music is that once you get a great song in your head, you can’t get it out. Kinda like how your Mom felt, eh?)
Unfortunately, Otis died the same year as this performance.
This classing skating performance by Gary Beacom (to the great Leonard Cohen’s “I’m Your Man”) reminds me of my VPOTUS! Quirky, a little awkward, but well-meaning, loyal, salt o’ the earth, sweet & with a heart of gold. Plus there’s the shades. Tell me you don’t see it! :-D
He’s definitely my man!
You forgot to add “cute as a button”! He’s my man, too, but there will be no catfight, since I never compete!
I stand corrected and in full agreement!
The man’s smile is so brighter HE’S gotta wear shades! :-D :-D :-D
“so bright”… oh well.
I think that’s a sign I need to get to sleep. Goodnight everyone.
Thanks dudette put that on FB so my friends can watch it. That was a grea performance.

On the right side of the page on the buzzfeed link, there’s an article titled “Why Romney won us over”. That pretty much tells you everything you need to know about buzzfeed.
actually it says ‘how’ he won us over, and the article lists all the things we detest about him; but in the end, since he’s now such a nebbishy loser, they conclude, he’s kinda likable.
‘Mitt Romney did the only thing he could to make people like him: He lost. ‘
ok – thanks for exploring the article. I still have the same opinion of buzzfeed – but it sounds like the title of the article is a bit of snark.
‘snark-feed’ should be their name!
FINALLY! Member of MSM admits our media has been irresponsible in reporting GOP hypocrisy! TY @MikeGrunwald http://t.co/8hU1DSCh— Dudette (@Dudette9t9) December 03, 2012
this is so necessary: ‘we’re not supposed to be stenographers’. journalists have a job to do, however tricky and risky and just plain hard. and it is not to ‘balance’ their reportage; it is to dig out the truth and tell it.
I never get why they have to do that. Not every issue has to have a right and wrong. Sometimes the issue is just the ‘right thing to do’ according to PBO and should be reported as such instead of trying to find someone who has a completely different view. This kind of duality is what feeds the deeper separation of left and right, allowing people to forget that they are Americans first.
George Bush sure loved the whole not working thing.

These politicians are obviously not familiar with the concept of shame. They clearly haven’t whatever it takes to feel ashamed that they are abusing their positions by paying themselves for doing virtually nothing they were ‘hired’ to do. Every time it’s brought to my attention I feel fed up that congresspeople can get away with this while millions of workers who would be more honest are out of work.

Good Monday Morning, TODville!
:???: Anyone seen Chips yet? I’m in a race to sign in BEFORE her this morning so I can say ‘Naw nana nahna’ when I come back later. Am trying to wait for a delivery (between 7 & 11am – they can’t give a specific time  ), while keeping an 8am drop off time for my car. It’ll be just my luck for the delivery to come while I’m at the dealership!
GM TOD villeeeeeeee….GM MsChipsssssss….
she is stunning in that dressssssss….
Great summary of last night’s Kennedy Center gala. Jon Huntsman was there? A few birds of a different feather, Kid Rock included:
More reporting on Kennedy honors, highlighting Buddy Guy
I happened to catch a segment GMA this morning in which they talked about the Kennedy event – and believe it or not, during the 2 minute segment, they talked about Hollywood and Washington, showed some of the honorees like Led Zepplin and David Letterman, but refused to mention or show POTUS or FLOTUS. Instead they mentioned and showed pics of Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton!
Ugh! They need to be called out for that!
They at least showed the Obamas on the Today Show——laughing hard and being good sports about a joke Ray Ramono was telling—–(about Obama not quitting when he was down 1 to nothing in the debates etc.) But I have noticed that most of the reporting has barely mentioned that they were there.
@Kensidon975 Yep! Makes the #GOP furor over this exchange even more ridiculous, doesn't it? http://t.co/8fUd5bRt— Dudette (@Dudette9t9) December 03, 2012

I had to agree with one thing I heard C. Todd report today——which he said he heard from a Dem official——that if we had THESE Republicans in Lincoln’s day, we would still have slavery.
dotster3, If Chuckie said that, I agree with him. This President has shown willingness to work with Boehner and the Republicans, it has been them who refuse to work with him.
If rich can afford to give Rove $324M to blow on an election, surely they can pay a bit more tax for good of country? nationalmemo.com/karl-rove-duck…— The Daily Edge (@TheDailyEdge) December 03, 2012
I have said the exact same thing that the Daily Edge is saying, I am so fed up with the Republicans trying to protect the rich and not giving a dam about the middle class and poor.
Good for Bob Costas
Glad he did that.

Tax the Rich: An animated fairy tale
Tax the rich: An animated fairy tale, is narrated by Ed Asner, with animation by Mike Konopacki. Written and directed by Fred Glass for the California Federation of Teachers. An 8 minute video about how we arrived at this moment of poorly funded public services and widening economic inequality. Things go downhill in a happy and prosperous land after the rich decide they don’t want to pay taxes anymore. They tell the people that there is no alternative, but the people aren’t so sure. This land bears a startling resemblance to our land. For more info, http://www.cft.org.

For those who may be interested: simply great recent Q&A from brilliant Michael Lewis on his Obama piece. It’s in two parts – don’t miss it. What I like about Michael Lewis is his lack of phoniness – same as PBO.
Fab interview – thank you so much
More Kennedy Center stuff, more photos, maybe a couple you haven’t seen yet
Sorry not sure why Part 2 won’t embed (I will try once more) – go to youtube if it doesn’t work.
