We never heard details like this about marines in prior operations. Why are these squabbles being broadcast for public consumption? How does this make the troops cohesive and ordered – and how does this aid national security? This is ridiculous.
Totally agree and now McCain is going to get a seat on the Senate Foreign relations com right before Hillary testifies on Benghazi since he is term limited on the Armed Service comm, which means he will also be their to raise hell if Susan Rice is nominated for SOS.
Then we’ll have to make our voices heard. There are only 535 people in Congress, and there are 300+ million people in this country. The likes of McCain and his right wing cronies in Congress can’t really just keep riding roughshod over the country, can they?
Theo, Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, Kelly Ayotte, Chuck Grassley, Marco Rubio, Orin Hatch, Jim Inhoffe, and the rest of the GOP Caucus, are crazy enough to do just that. The question is: Will we have strong, sane, and principled Democrats to counter McCain if his GOP caucus decides to put him on the committee? This why I don’t think it would be a good idea to nominate Sen. John Kerry to be Sec. of State. We need him as Chair of the Senate Foreign relations Committee.

Where is amk? Okay, here’s what we’ve got: Trader Joe’s 2010 Vintage Ale. “Dark ale brewed with Spices and Natural Flavours added”. 9% alc./vol. What say you? It has been lying down for over two years, the cork looks fresh (cork on a beer?) and the dust is real! Shall we give it a sniff? (I don’t drink beer…)
So, I go down to the basement, to fetch a bottle of beer (for amk) and when I come back, you have all gone to the pub next door! Noice! But I found ya’s, not that easy to lose me…. Well, maybe! I’m getting kinda sleepy….
Pamela you still have to work on “civilizing” AMK so that he can start appreciating good wines from California, Washington and Oregon. Beer is o.k. now and then. But I don’t think you can truly enjoy a good meal without good wine.

heavy rain here in hawaii, with intermittent sunny and humid. i love the sound of giant rain drops on the banana leaves and the tin roofs! luckily, the temp is about 70 right now, so we’re comfy inside. i’m glad things will be green and bright for the obama family christmas!
