the obama admin is the most transparent presidential admin ever. this is not debate-able. it is simple fact. the level of visitor logs and other governmental meeting details that obama admin releases is unprecedented. the amount of q&a live online events they do is unheard ever before. oh, and this little thing the obama started: http://www.transparency.gov/
so naturally the beltway, billionaire-owned media has to paint the picture that the obama admin is secretive, thereby taking away yet another of his strengths and accomplishments. that seems to be their only reason to exist anymore. it’s opposite world every day in the mainstream “news.” especially crazy considering the previous admin had YEARS of emails magically disappear, totaling at least 5 MILLION emails going poof, then republicans say “move along, nothing to see here” and “the news” says, “oh okay. whatever you say mr. republican” and never say a word about it again. how about when congress was summoning bush admin people such as karl rove, and they simply wouldn’t show up with no explanation, since they know the government enforcement agencies either have no staff anymore or are wholly understaffed to do anything about it. exactly as the republicans planned it.
and wondering what “news” people like this scott wilson dweeb would do today is the obama admin started answering questions from an unknown “reporter” who simultaneously had a web site offering himself as a male prostitute for other men while the president was calling him by name, and the male prostitute was checking into the white house and never having checked out records, which was discovered to be the case after the bush admin was forced to turn over at least a few incomplete visitor logs by court order. this all really happened with the bush admin and republicans and “the news” did some brief tsk-tsking about it all and then promptly swept all that kind of stuff under the rug to the point that probably less than 1% of the public knows the name jeff gannon/guckert, when it was likely one of the bigger presidential scandals of all time. yet, here we are, this washington post “reporter” pushing the idea that the obama admin is secretive. ridiculous. it’s nonstop from these propagandists.
Part of me (the cynical part) is thinking that the reason there’s such a clamor for photos of this round of golf is the desire to get some of Tiger’s scandal sticking to Obama and some of Obama’s politics on Tiger (who, like Michael Jordan, prefers to maintain a nonpartisan image). I mean, PBO has played basketball with some pretty big names, too. Were there any complaints about lack of transparency then? I don’t recall any photos of PBO playing basketball with LeBron James…
