I really thought they were playing off the whole ‘secrit muslim’ conspiracy theories of the right. I’ve seen lots of posts referring sarcastically to “sekrit muslims” (bad spelling intentional) on lots of liberal posts. I’ve never seen people react as if it was offensive. I see what you’re saying but it’s not as if the Salon article is saying that being Muslim is something to be secret about – they’re making fun of people who do.

What a smile both of them brought to all of us while uncle Ted was still physically with us. Everytime I see Bo; I think of Mrs. Kennedy and Sen. Kennedy.
