A year ago, I remember arming myself with popcorn and settling in for the night to watch this ….. and the coverage lasted about three minutes.

I recall the PBO’s 1st Governor’s Ball, CNN & C Span streamed the arrivals. At BarackObama.com we had ourselves a regular little party watching the proceedings… I’m sure the reason this stuff is no longer covered is that rethug Govs don’t want to be shown going to the White House for a social occasion!

Well I did see POTUS in his Tux.
Tha tsegment was short but nice. I learned that my governor, Mary Fallin attended this year. She sees the writing on the wall for Tinker Air Base, I’m sure, and wants to talk with people who can keep that intact. I’m sure she’s not the only Republican there…….don’t tell me going to the White House isn’t a thrill for most of these people! No place like it. I’ve read that the governors are lobbying their Congresscritters about the sequester. The governors deal with the fallout at a real level.
Just watched 60 Minutes too. Scott Pelley interviewed the author of No Easy Day for the entire hour. It was interesting. He was matter of fact, calm, and totally nonpolitical. He said he visited Ground Zero for the first and only time after he left the Navy. That experience brought it full circle for him, and he was glad for his part in bringing down bin Laden. (My husband is watching the TV and I watch with my laptop on my lap.)
My guess that c-span will have video on their website tomorrow. Love to know who had the idea of sitting Gov. Christie next to FLOTUS??

Yes, and sometimes the gray in some black peoples’ very short cuts can be very wiry, and hard to comb down. So some barbers and hairdressers pluck the wiry strands because they tend to stick up. That may be one of the reasons that he appears to have less gray hair. It will grow back.

I doubt that people under 40 know, or care much, about Bob Woodward! Ever since Watergate, Woodward has not done any thing that’s memorable. His accusation against President Obama are not based on information from a “Deep Throat” source. Rather, they are his personal interpretation intended to advance his current ideological leanings that favor right wing Republicans. My take is that people like Bob Woodward and Dr. Ben. Carson, who benefited greatly from Bush’s tax cuts for the rich, don’t want to pay more taxes. That’s why they are finding excuses to attack President Obama.
That, and attacking the President sells more “books”. Bob Woodward leans wherever the dollar takes him, and I have NO IDEA who put the notion in Dr. Carson’s head that he is a politician. Carson is a man I admired in the past for his accomplishments, and he is about to BLOW a 30 year positive image to align himself with the hatefilled, rich, tax hating, phony religiosity of the right.
I’ve seen Carson in person on several occasions. His story inspires you, but the man himself can put a room to sleep in 60 seconds flat. He is NO politician. He would have less success warming up a room than Mitt Romney had. He needs to stick to being a doctor.
I’ve even thought about writing to Carson and telling him how disappointed so many people are with him and to stick to what he knows. He is being USED, because he is a tax hating, so called Christian, black man. The Republicans could care less about how foolish he will look when he tries to convince us that he can govern this country. Listen to Dr. Carson talk, he is a gentle, soft spoken man who will be eaten alive on the debate stage.
I don’t like his politics, but I would still hate to see him embarrass himself like that–like he already has.

While the White house explains the reality of the sequester – the GOP continue to say all the President is doing is laying blame – I have heard no “blame” – I have only heard impact and solutions from the President
Bob Woodward and the Republicans are playing the blame game. If John Boehner were in control of his caucus he could stop the sequester, and tell them that he and the White House will work on a fair and balance plan. But it is clear who is the Boss in the Republican House, and it ain’t John Boehner.
All the Republicans are doing is dooming their fate in 2014.

I just finish watching Jimmy Fallon and FLOTUS Mom Dancing again, and I can’t help it I was laughing again. I also saw when FLOTUS was on Jay Leno explaining what happen with the Kiss Cam. How Malia was disgusting with them cause they didn’t kiss, so Malia set it all up for them to get another chance, so she came over and directed them to kiss when the Kiss Cam show up.
So the President used his “left hand to toast the Governors” last night, according to Bob Woodward. Does this mean that Woodward didn’t know the President was left-handed.
