Happy Sunday, everyone.
Congrats Mariele on #1.
Afternoon TOD ers
Wowsers! That man just has “IT”!
George Stephanopoulos’s treatment of Dennis Rodman this morning reminded me of how arrogant and distasteful so many of the former Clinton people can be.
rodman’s antics helped me learn something about the N.Korean leader – at least he loves basketball.
george missed the points of the informal visit which is that those visits provide a brief inside into an otheriwse closed state.
“sports diplomats ” may also low the national temperaturesof sturbon leaders and create opportunities for later negotiations
as far as I am concerned, if it helps to keep nuclear tensions down, then the real diplomats can work on human rights and stopping nuclear growth

After the Hagel conflagration and before the Obama visit, with no Israeli coalition and a new U.S. Administration, the policy part of the conference will be akin to groping in the dark….”Which brings us to the truly unique and in many way unprecedented political logjam that is currently plaguing Prime Minister Netanyahu’s efforts to set up a new governing coalition.” Bibi has till the 16th to form a government……

Scary how Israel sometimes resembles Apartheid South Africa or the Jim Crow South. I understand that they are fighting terrorists in their own backyard, but they must do better. Otherwise, they just come off as racists.

Here’s live audio of the Vice President in Selma (if this hasn’t already been posted):
MSNBC-TV is finally showing coverage of the March, soon.
G’Afternoon TODobots! Is there a particular Chips is trying to rush March along – pretending it’s the 4th when it’s only the 3rd?
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
XXOXOXOs, PJ, so nice to see you! I’ve become so used to the message light that signaled a response that now I feel lost since WPress has stopped it. Sigh.
I was trying ask, unsuccessfully, if there was a particular **reason** CC was rushing March along. Oh well, we’ll see as March rolls by I guess.
Hiya VC!!! I hope you scroll on up here to see this, since word press won’t even tell you I’m in the room. Did you get a chance to do the morning wake up routine that I left for you on the rise and shine thread?
We need the link again to vote for your daughter. I feel the need to VOTE.
aw thanks CarolMae will do later down thread thanks
Hi, Cookem! A wake-up routine? Sounds like work to me, so maybe it’s a good thing I haven’t checked into the rise and shine thread. Am feeling too lethargic [sounds much more positive than 'lazy', doesn't it ] to follow a routine today, though I am in the very slow process of shifting furniture and ripping up carpet and underpad in the FINAL (Yay!) bedroom. Slow, as in I do a bit, then take a break, etc.
Well that sounds like a workout to me!
VP Joe speaking now in Selma. Broadcast on MSNBC now.
Cried when he told the “baby being held up for a look at the train station” story. Wow.
I missed all but the very end Hope that someone can put up the video when it comes available…
Yes, I live for Chips and TODies to post them for those of us in a different time zone. I’m MST, which one are you in?
same as you…until the time changes, then PST
My god Biden is on fire!!!
Yes, he’s a BFD!
On Sec.5 of voting rights act Biden ” I’m the one who got Strom Thurmon to vote to re-authorize the ’65 act” —-> SCOTUS
Joe’s the real deal.
He’s freaking fantastic.
there seems to be so many things we do not know about BFD Biden
Because the media has gone out of it’s way to portray him as a silly, perpetually grinning gaffe machine, instead of the intelligent, experienced, compassionate and loyal public servant that he has always been. The only time they give him half-arsed compliments are when they’re attempting to put down PBO in some way.
What a lovely thing to say. I believe Joe Biden is all that and more. There are lots of nuts out there. Joe isn’t one of them!
I love him.
It’s offensive how the media has tried to belittle this man, who has served the American people honourably for the past 30+ years. They trumpeted the punk Paul Ryan, thinking he was a formidable opponent for VP Biden – and yet, Paul Ryan was barely out of diapers when VP Biden was overcoming personal tragedy and starting his career in the Senate! He’s forgotten more than Paul Ryan will ever know. It’s also offensive that the media ignores the many reasons why Joe Biden would make an excellent President after President Obama steps down, in favour of celebrity, the establishment and conventional wisdom “i.e. group think”.
As always, your comment nails it! The media hates VP Biden because VP Biden loves and respects President Obama.
David Gregory said the following on NBC’s Today on Friday.
“The President does not particularly like the Washington press corps,” Gregory said. “And I think that feeling is mutual in a lot of respects. And so there’s not a great relationship between that Washington establishment and the President.”
So much for the liberal press giving the President beneficial coverage. No wonder the President continues to go around these journalists who believe they are entitled to first dibs on the administration’s message.

@Our4thEstate: PLUS, is .@davidgregory saying reporting on the WH can only be done with professionalism if the WHPC feels 'liked'? @PressSec— Vick C. (@sonamie) March 03, 2013
The fact that David Gregory would say something like that is not shocking. We have known from the start what side Gregory is on. GOP side.
The difference is…he said it out loud
Yes, we’ve known for a very long time, annie. I’m just grateful to DG for shattering any lingering notion that a ‘librul media,’ supportive of PBO, exists. We know it doesn’t. We can now quote DG as confirming that the ‘Washington (NEWSTAINER) establishment’ does not have this President’s back, except as a target.
Oh, brother, never heard it written quite like that before, “does not have this President’s back, except as a target,” but you nailed it, unfortunately. The main thrust of writing the news is just that – to write about the news, not to become the news. These beltway bandits think they are the news (Chris Matthews thinks he’s the novel), and they write about how President Obama “should” fit into their world. I cannot remember the last time any of them had credibility. It.Is.Disgusting.
This is the reason Bob Woodward has risk his reputation by flat out lying.
Anniebella, do you think PBO will accept Woodward’s invitation to go to his house for dinner?
Why would the President dine with someone who is clearly looking for media coverage, to the point of maligning loyal members of the Administration? I hope he never gets acknowledged.
I’ll bet $10,000 we will not see PBO heading over to Woodward;s house.
Bill, No I don’t think POTUS would accept an invitation from Woodward to go to his house for dinner.
Why would he? Bob Woodward have proven he can’t be trusted.
Does not have this President’s back except as a target. PERFECT, Bobfr. Perfect and tragic.

Anytime VC, its easier than it seems…. with the caveat, that once you get it right the first time, smooth sailing afterwords.
completely off topic, but I just have to say that my two most favoritist commercials that are airing these days are the car commercial where the dad is teaching the kid how to throw a ball. The other is a paper towel commercial where the proud kid runs through the hallway with his potty chair to proudly show his mom that he went to the potty all by himself, as he sloshes the contents all over. Too funny, the both of them!!!1
Guess I don’t watch too much TV Have never seen either of these…they sound adorable:)
They are hysterical. It turns out the dad doesn’t have a clue on how to throw the ball and he’s teaching the kid absolutely wrong as he says, ‘now watch me’. The look on the mom’s face with the potty chair is priceless as she says, ‘well yes you sure did’
I like those too, LOL.
One of mine is the State Farm commercial with the girl who found the “French model” date on the internet. The look she gives over her shoulder at the end just cracks me up!
oh yes that one is too funny when he guy says Bon jour mon ami in this horrible French accent and you know this isn’t going to end well for her.
Love all three commercials you guys mentioned! My real favorite is the Little Red Riding Hood song in the Volvo commercial, not the car and not the commercial, just the song!
I remember tHat song – loVe it!
OK so this is the bomb song to work those glutes and abs to. mmmm, mmmm. Caution I haven’t even listened to the words, cause the beats so nice. I did pick up on one questionable lyric, but hopefully we’re all adults. Besides, what’s a glute workout without some yummy in it. Here we go!
Usher and abs just go together:)
yeah baby! Another one that brings out the mother hen/cougar in me….cluck, cluck, meow
I hear you…I’m old (er) but I’m not blind yet!
I’m thinking some thoughts but will hold back – for now……
Let me just say that you can’t have it both ways – it’s either, or.
I beg to differ, everyone knows a lioness can indeed lay down with a ram
Chips…cookemom needs a MAT! STAT!
I’m already on a mat, sweating out those glutes and abs, but it doesn’t hurt to imagine stuffs, since I’m already down here.
Sounds like you need an ice pack:)
Any questions about Chris now?
Also the one and only @jbarro will be joining us tomorrow for our first ever all-Republican panel.— Christopher Hayes (@chrislhayes) March 02, 2013
Actually it was an interesting conversation. There were right wing journalists admitting that the right wing blogs such as Daily Caller often overstep the bounds of reporting the truth more than do the left wing blogs. The panel though all Republican were not rwnj’s and believed it was necessary for the right to change if they wish to be taken seriously.
I agree. I watched it and was very interested in what they said. It was a level headed discussion with concessions on what they know are hindering their party from moving forward. These panelist are what the rwnj’s would call RINOs. I think at times, it doesn’t hurt to acknowledge that there is an opposing party with members who aren’t all knuckle draggers. I believe a two party system gets things done and challenges the ruling party to stay on their toes. Not every opposing idea has to be hostile. PBO gets that, I think some progressives get that, not sure how many Pubs are allowed to admit that they get that. The few who do are ostracized and bullied.
yes true cookeman. I remember our republican govenor arne carlson. Very pragmatic. always had a balanced budget very pro education. now he’s anethma to our minnesota republicans in office and was left out in the cold years ago because he was seen as being too progressive. SMDH. I think a two party system is good too. I think there should be a conversation but as you say, these “knuckledraggers” have taken over the Republican party and turned it into a fringe contingent. and now they are are also a treasonous fringe contingent by their efforts to destroy our democracy.
THEN THEY NEED TO STEP UP…question ……were any of these so called rinos elected officials
Rinos or otherwise….i would not ptr them in charge because i do not trust them
I agree. RINOs are still Republicans. And Republicans seem to have a clear cut agenda — destroy the government, burden the middle class, lessen taxes for the rich, oppose marriage equality and restrict reproductive rights. I don’t want any of them anywhere near the White House.
Go Hillary (or whichever other Dem runs in 2016)!
Awesome, Chris so excited, can’t wait to see you at CPAC!
He turned it down because they would not allow the Republican gay groups.
So did S.E. Cupp
So the same *feminists* attacking Michelle Obama, went after Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, and now Sheryl Sandberg. Media is clueless…
When feminists tear each other down: washingtonpost.com/opinions/dear-… “writers @ Forbes,TNR,WaPost didn’t even read ‘Lean In' b4 declaring its flaws”— The lovely Plains (@DaRiverZkind) March 03, 2013
The questions for me are …What is feminism..& .who is in charge of defining who is and who isn’t….this has always been my problem with this movement…that you have to fit some litmus test…..
Reminds me of when PBO was coming up and people were discussing whether he was “Black enough.” Who is in charge of defining who is and who isn’t Black?
When a Black person does something stupid, I know other Black people resent having to address the random comments of some idiot. Or being asked what do “Black people” think of this or that. As a feminist, I can’t and won’t defend some idiotic woman who also calls herself a feminist. She doesn’t speak for me.
There’s no one “movement” of women, Blacks, Latinos, or gays that speaks for EVERYONE who is female, Black, Latino, or gay.
It’s a complicated business and no matter where you stand on an issue, there will be other people like you who are nevertheless not like you at all.
Said very well….i agree with you
Boehner blames Democrats for Republican filibuster
As if the Republican’s demand that any legislation needs a super-majority to pass the Senate was not enough of an outrage, this morning Speaker Boehner blamed the outcome of that demand on Democrats.
But before he got to that ridiculous claim, Boehner lied. Following in the discredited footsteps of David Brooks, Boehner claimed that neither the Democrats nor the White House had a plan for replacing the sequester. In a move that surprised everyone…David Gregory called him out on that one.
The Speaker responded by saying that was “nonsense.” Since “moving the goalposts” seems to be the meme of the week, Boehner tried his hand at it by moving from “they don’t have a plan” to “the Senate didn’t pass a plan.” This time, Gregory failed to call him out. Because just 3 days ago, the Senate voted on a Democratic plan to replace the sequester.
…the Senate blocked a Democratic plan to replace the sequester with a set of smaller spending cuts and new tax revenues. That plan won a simple majority, with 51 senators voting for it and 49 against. But it failed to cross the 60-vote threshold to break a filibuster.
So you see what they’re doing here…Senate Republicans use a procedural move to block a bill from passing – even though a majority voted for it – and then Speaker Boehner comes along to suggest its the Democrats fault that it didn’t pass.

The videos not good, but it is short. I will be posting entire speech after this one in a minute.
Full story at http://www.thebluestate.com/2007/03/video_obama_com.html
Presidential candidate Barack Obama returned to Selma, Alabama, the site where the civil rights movement began 47 years ago. He spoke at the same church where black leaders first organized to push back against the oppressive forces that were behind the intolerance in the south just two generations ago.
This excerpt of Obama’s speech was a slap in the face to those who claim the Illinois Senator is “not black enough.” He preached that had it not been for the civil rights movement in Selma, Alabama, he would not be alive today. What was not known at the time, but has been documented by Ancestory.com is that President Barack Huessein Obama is a descendent of the first African slave in America. It happens to be on his mothers side.
Obama Related to First Slave in America – as part of the news series by GeoBeats. Ancestry.com, a family history website claims that President Barack Obama is the 11th great-grandson of John Punch, the first documented African slave in American history. The website explains that John Punch was an indentured servant in colonial Virginia who was declared a slave for life after he failed to escape slavery in 1640. What is really interesting is that The Ancestry.com made the connection between John Punch and Obama through President’s Caucasian mother’s family. Their research revealed that his mother’s ancestors have roots tracing back to Sub-Saharan Africa through John Punch. An Ancestry.com genealogist told CNN – “We have two of the most significant Africans in our country’s history being directly related to each other” Obama’s ancestral past has been studied extensively with much fascination. The New England Historic Genealogical Society released a report in 2008 noting that Barack Obama can call atleast 6 US Presidents his distant relatives and they include George W. Bush, Gerald Ford, and Lyndon Johnson. Not only that, the Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt is Obama’s ninth cousin, linked by Edwin Hickman who died in Virginia in 1769.
http://video.answers.com/obama-related-to-first-slave-in-america-517430518#. I saw it on CNN, but couldn’t find that link. Also on ancestory dot.com. Another place I spend my time.
A better video.
The long version. He lifts me up when I feel down.
The Republican are going to fix this during the debt ceiling. They wanted the credit for when the economy come back They knew the economy is growing and they did nothing to help, so this way they can get the credit. They did this so they can say “See we brought down the debt, by cutting spending and the economy grow” Like they did Clinton. That’s why Wall Street and Big business is not screaming.
Perhaps you’re right. If the economy goes down, it’s all on them.
Just as a segway: one of the most enduring, unique personality traits of Pres. Obama is his ability to experience joy and wonderment. You can see it in the photo above. It’s in the photo with the young science student and his marshmallow launcher. And any time he is with children and the elderly. To me, this speaks to an open, cynical-free person who still has his eye on the real beauty of life. That’s rare in a president.
yes, and i love seeing him in a playful moment. the photo above gives us a hint of his delight in simple pleasures.
He is ‘rare’ period.

I hope some other “journalists” pay attention and clean up their acts. Only the press can make the press do the right thing. I think Gregory’s statement Friday exposes them all. For four years they have used the president as a target, and made the news about themselves.
When GWB was president, every stinking day we had another stinking picture of him in those ugly blue and gold chairs fake-smiling at some other VIP. We NEVER even see this president when a visiting head of state comes!!! Anyone else notice that? I have written, but I have come to detest the news programs so much, I hardly watch them.
I finally signed a moveon petition…..yes, I still get their emails. This petition was to tell Congress to give themselves a 20% pay cut like other federal employees until they repeal the sequester and get to work. I thought that one was worthwhile.
Is it a coincidence that since joining #UniteBlue I've gotten dozens of followers who are trying to sell me crap I don't want?— (@Chernynkaya) March 03, 2013
Have not understood why anyone would want to join UB given we have the magnificent OFA.
I’m still not so sure about these folks, cause the founder was not a PBO supporter. If this is the same person, he was a Buddy Roehmer (sp) supporter. I also don’t like the name they chose UniteBlue. It’s too close too ActBlue, which is a Democratic progressive organization. I just may be cynical, but I think they’re lulling folks into a false security, then when they’ve siphoned off enough folks under false pretense, they’ll start posting subtle inferences that are not in our best interest. Maybe I read too many spy novels.
Zach’s a scam artist who hates PBO, cookemom. The interlocking blue Ds and ‘Unite Blue’ are as deceptive as you imagine. I told him if he wanted to ‘unite progressives’ why not have interlocking Ps and color one red & the other blue or make’um rainbow color. He got very pissy on twitter

Yup. Here’s some pertinent background info I got from Twitter & blogosphere on the scam that is Zach and UniteBlue.
// …But like Roemer (once member of the Democratic Party and then the GOP and now Independent), Zach seems to change his associations according to the political winds. For example, Zach also hosted a Tea Party town hall on Twitter. In fact, S.E. Cupp even tweeted her appreciation:…//

Also…the comment under it is interesting.
Yes….it has been shown here and talked about before….from before ’08 election or just after
My brother has this pic framed and hanging in his home. I believe these are all ministers who gathered around to bless him on his political journey. It was very early in his presidential efforts. I believe it took place in Chicago after a prayer breakfast or something, not sure though.
I used this picture for my gravatar. It is Candidate Barack Obama receiving a blessing during the African Methodist Episcopal Church’s 48th Quadrennial Session General Conference, July 5, 2008, St. Louis, Mo.
Awesome!!! See why money for R/D and SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH is important!
Doctors in the US have made medical history by effectively curing a child born with HIV, the first time such a case has been documented.
The infant, who is now two and a half, needs no medication for HIV, has a normal life expectancy and is highly unlikely to be infectious to others, doctors believe.
Though medical staff and scientists are unclear why the treatment was effective, the surprise success has raised hopes that the therapy might ultimately help doctors eradicate the virus among newborns.
This is MY idea of pro life!
Why does the UK know more about the US than we do ?
It is an AP story Linda. Worldwide distribution for Media entities that pay for it. TPM has same story up.
Can anybody explain why this can’t happen? If the economy starts to seriously decline because of the sequester is it possible for 1) Harry Reid to invoke the nuclear option and pass the Senate Sequester alternative with a 51vote margin; 2) Nancy to round up 18 Republican votes, hold her caucus together and force a floor vote, which passes with a simple majority. There’s nothing in the law that prevents this if Harry were willing and there were 18 sane and still patriotic Republicans who didn’t want the economy to collapse. How can we make this happen?
Thisssssssssss….and perhaps this could happen….if ~We the People~ push it….
Jackie, not only can all those steps be taken, we may not have to await a decline in our economy to see the Senator Reid and Speaker Pelosi do just as you note.
All Speaker Pelosi needs are 218 signatures on a discharge petition to force a bill to the floor for vote. A bill only needs to sit in Committee for 30 legislative days to become eligible for the discharge petition mechanism. That’s why I’ve been tweeting @NancyPelosi and @WhipHoyer as to indicate to them plenty of citizens understand they have the mechanism to bypass Boehner and Cantor.
As to Leader Reid, after McConnell filibustered the sequester repeal knowing that 51 votes existed to pass the D version, I see no justification for Leader Reid, Senator Levin et al to have any reason to think their ‘reforms’ accomplished anything other than giving McConnell sufficient rope to hang himself, publicly and on the record. Well, he did just that this past Thursday.
Yes We Can
It’s my understanding that the “nuclear option” or a change in the rules of filibuster can only be invoked at the beginning of a Congressional session. So, no, it can’t be implemented now.
Hi meta, the ‘nuclear’ or ‘Constitutional’ option can be initiated by any Senator and any time by calling a point of order.
What can’t be changed are Senate Rules except at the beginning of each new Congress.
Good news. thanks for plugging it in here.

boner’s problem–solvable by humans!
‘ President Barack Obama plans to nominate Walmart’s philanthropic head Sylvia Mathews Burwell to become director of the White House budget office on Monday, sources familiar with the matter said on Sunday.
Burwell, 47, is a veteran of Bill Clinton’s White House and for the past year has been president of the Walmart Foundation at the corporation’s Bentonville, Arkansas, headquarters. The charity organization in 2011 gave out nearly $1 billion in corporate contributions to projects around the world such as fighting hunger and empowering women. ‘
Funny! I see Grumpy Cat in the corner there!
scratching my head–thought you meant in the burwell article! probably a grumpy cat in there, too, or should be but yes, the cartoon is a good depiction of boner’s reality. and i do like to picture the humans (voters) trapping the rat and putting the cats where they belong!

Aright, now, this here is how we do it down in the lower9!
My aunt (my godchild Maddie’s mother) and her brother (they are twins) had their 46th birthday party last night. I worked this weekend and I was hella tired, but I went ahead and drove to NOLA for the party. I drove back late last night, went to work this morning. I’m glad I did. All except 1 uncle were there (a few I hadn’t seen in a while.
Anyway, my family have been living in the same lower 9th neighborhood since before I was born (my mom is 53) and I think even before my mom was born. So anyway, when they have a party, the whole “old neighborhood” peeps come to every party.
The old people party and reminisce(sp?) and the young guns sit around an laugh at the old people, but since we are such a close knit bunch, even the young people know the old songs. The thing about NOLA is that if you are born and raised there, you know the old music as well as the new.
So anyway, this is how we roll in NOLA lower 9th. If it’s a party with an older crowd in NOLA, then you betta be ready to “wobble with it”…LOL.
My extended family…
looks like you guys were having a blast lam!

President Obama is likely to nominate Sylvia Mathews Burwell on Monday to head up the budget office, Reuters first reported.
Burwell, who has long been considered the leading choice for the director’s spot at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) runs the Wal-Mart Foundation and formerly worked for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and served in President Clinton’s White House as deputy director of the budget office.

as PBO….said at the presser on Friday….
It depends on where you sit….answering a question by the WHPC….re: Bloomberg’s comment that the sequester will not be so bad…
Exactly, Vicki! Today I had lunch with a good friend of mine who is a nurse at the Navy Hospital here in San Diego and she already got notice that she will not be paid for one day each week. This means that for each month her pay will be $875.00 less than she is receiving now. She is a single mom with three children. Actually her frustration was even more about nurses aids who are going to be devastated by the pay cuts. What really pisses me off is the fact that this sequester has absolutely nothing to do with job creation, economics, deficit, debt, or what have you. This is all about Republican hatred of President Obama. They are so consumed with hating the President that they don’t care about inflicting pain on ordinary Americans who are not rich. Both St. Reagan and the two Bushes run huge deficits, yet Republicans never once resorted to sequesters, refusing to raise the debt ceiling, or shutting down the government.
I am sorry Jovie, Sequester is not about talking points! It’s about hurting real people!

I have been a busy beaver – getting ready for tomorrows campaign of holding the Republicans responsible for their inaction.
Thanks so some wonderful links contributed by folks here, and a great article by smartypants, I have a list of Republicans who voted for VAWA, are in districts PBO won in 12 or 08, and Republicans who supported the hurricane relief. Tomorrow lets focus on these Republicans
I have included the local office #s – some folks only have 1 local office, but others have 3-4.
If you are confused by the material or see any typos, please let me know. Pay special attention to the zip code which you will often be asked about when you are calling.
THANK YOU! I so value your laser focus and am very happy to do my part. ACTION!!

Thank you so much, WIW, for the great work you are doing. This list is exactly what we needed. Now it’s up to all of us to target these Republicans, especially those in districts that President Obama won both in ’08 and’12. Meanwhile, I hope DNC is grooming first rate candidates to challenge them in 2014.

Even in Texas – it seems someone has worked out that providing family planning services is a lot cheaper than paying for the births/children that is the result of closing down such services. Next time the GOP screams about including birth control in health insurance they truly need to be reminded about the economic reality of birth control – being they are so keen on reducing those “benefit” payments.

This is exactly what I believe should be our #1 focus! We also should identify Republicans in congressional districts that barely voted for Romney and mount serious challenges against them in 2014. Lets go to work!

But unfortunately, they will have to hunt him down at the local bar or too drunk to even take a phone call and know one would understand him due to the slurring, slobbering and crying. Good luck on that one those who keep voting for this puppet. They got what they asked for… A Fool!
Kasai – I agree with you – but I just know the President will not – he always says he is the President for all America. Will be interesting to see who votes to help the red states – and how quickly
Kasai, may be it’s time for Blues States to demand equalization of federal expenditures. If Republicans want spending cuts, then lets target those cuts on states that are “Net Recipients of Federal Dollars.” I am sure the seventeen “Blue States that are Net Payers” of “Federal Dollars” would have no qualms helping out the “11 Blue States” that are “Net Recipients of Federal Dollars.” I am not sure that the one Red State, which is a “Nate Payer,” can afford to pick up the tab for the 21 red states, which are “Net Recipients of Federal Dollars.”
President Obama will announce his OMB pick 10:15 a.m tomorrow.

I love your tweet, Kasai! I am actually convinced that if it hadn’t been for our unethical media, which were rooting for Romney, he (Romney) would have lost by even more votes than the 5 millions he lost by.
I just saw on Twitter that this man is going to challenge Boehner for his Ohio seat. Boehner had no opposition in 2012. He will in 2114. Every time Boehner runs he tells the people of his district that he will create jobs. They’re starting to notice that he’s a liar. If this guy sticks to it and has the stamina to continue I think he’ll see a lot of support coming his way.
In 2014 I intend to bring a new face to Washington that has the heart of Ohio in mind.
Is he a Democrat or a Republican? If he’s a Republican, he could be a tea bagger, upset about Boehner not being extreme enough…
This is the best I can find
“Although we don’t know alot about Andy Hounshell , we plan to learn more as we read more and see more of him, Ohio seems to know him when he introduced the President to speak to the People, and as a Union working class family man.
He can be found on Twitter and Facebook, question is will the DNC support an unknown inexperienced candidate” ….
As for the issues he stands on, and believes in, He is Running on the Democratic Ticket as a Democrat.”
I wonder how much more Americans are willing to endure before taking to the streets to protest Republicans in Congress?
WOW! #Republicans are taking three times the number of #vacation days in one year than #PBO has taken- in 4 years!

Kenyan elections: Too busy tweeting to vote?
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama raised anew the issue of cutting entitlements such as Medicare and Social Security as a way out of damaging budget cuts, a White House official said on Sunday, as both sides in Washington tried to limit a fiscal crisis that may soon hit millions of Americans.
Signaling he might be ready to explore a compromise to end automatic spending cuts that began late Friday, Obama mentioned reforming these entitlement programs in calls with lawmakers from both parties on Saturday afternoon.
“He’s reaching out to Democrats who understand we have to make serious progress on long-term entitlement reform and Republicans who realize that if we had that type of entitlement reform, they’d be willing to have tax reform that raises revenues to lower the deficit,” White House senior economic official Gene Sperling said on Sunday on the CNN program “State of the Union.”
Republicans have long argued that the only way to tame budget deficits over the long haul is by slowing the cost of sprawling social safety net programs.
These include the Social Security retirement program and Medicare and Medicaid healthcare programs for the elderly, disabled and poor that are becoming more expensive as a large segment of the U.S. population hits retirement age.
