I have sent a tweet to all my west coast list and talked to staffers in the offices of Republican reps on the list. All were pleasant but non-committal. My spiel was that I thought the Republicans actually had a good slogan in 2008, “Country First” but that the sequester should be immediately repealed and a real jobs bill enacted instead to show that they meant it. I also used the hashtag #CommensenseCaucus in my tweets and mentioned it in my conversations. If enough of us keep doing this, it will eventually make an impact. OFA will have a week of action on the sequester about the 18th, so talk to your local leaders if you have a personal story or know of someone who does that illustrates the hurt caused by the sequester.
