Hi @MSNBC You missed an opportunity to improve by not having Ms Joy Reid replace @edshow. Suggest giving her 1 of the 2 @hardball hours. TY— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) March 14, 2013
I can barely, and only occasionally, tolerate 10 min of Chris Mathews so the fact that he has 2 hours to interrupt and preach is a total waste of bandwidth, imo.
With Ms Reid we would have journalistic excellence and very little, if any, chance of a Gigi-a-go-go-thon and other sanctimonious punditry.
There a lot of people who visit this blog who also know other people and many of us are on twitter, so let’s recommend that no one watch this Chris Hayes show. I would rather scrub bathrooms than watch and I suspect I’m not alone (except for the scrubbing part). If the MSNBC program managers think this new lineup is a winner, then maybe they’ll get proven wrong. In the vast universe of American voters, cable tv shows like this reach a small minority. It’s obvious MSNBC doesn’t understand or appreciate the diversity of our changing electorate. I can’t imagine too many people getting excited about another talking head white man.
Booman’s take on Ed moving and the MSNBC line up……
He may have his faults, but he fills a critical niche among white progressives. I don’t like to paint people into tight categories, but the progressive movement is mainly made up of three groups. The first and most powerful group is made of lawmakers who represent urban areas with large minority populations. Most of these lawmakers are black, Latino, or Asian, and they dominate the Progressive Caucus in the House of Representatives. The second group is made up of a combination of the academic world and the liberal-minded professional classes. The scientific community has a foot in each of these camps. It’s this second group that dominates the progressive blogosphere. It’s also where you find most of the MSNBC lineup. Chris Hayes went to Brown University; Lawrence O’Donnell went to Harvard; Rachel Maddow was a Rhodes Scholar; Ezra Klein went to UCLA; Melissa Harry-Perry has a doctorate from Duke University and has taught at Princeton. So, where does Big Ed fit in? He represents the third group: labor. He represents the interests of all working men and women, regardless of race. In fact, he seems to me to have a better understanding of how the labor and urban/minority groups are co-dependent and are empowered when they stand together than any other progressive I’ve seen on television.
intriguing,,,,but this is the most interesting line….

Maybe we should remind @msnbc that viewership has changed/is changing?
I agree @Our4thEstate. Please consider .@msnbc: with the variety of talent available + varying viewers there is NO REASON 4 2nd @hardball TY— Vick C. (@sonamie) March 14, 2013
I agree Lootenant. She’s waiting in the wings though. She stood in today for Alex and will be in for MHP this weekend. Notice that she has a new ‘do’ too. Any day now for sure. She might even replace Maddow for a bit while she runs around on her book promo.
Just need to keep informing them that we know the truth ….

Only Chips and those she has provided WordPress access permission can post images directly to TOD. Images embedded in tweets will appear when the tweet is posted at TOD as long as it is in the proper format.
When it comes to pictures in comments, what has to happen is that one of the authors has to edit the comment to insert the photograph. It’s a pain in the butt, speaking from experience.
It’s the same nonsense with the Chris Christie cheerleading… same bad message, different messenger (who is a bully). Packaging the same drivel in a shiny new box doesn’t make it any more palatable. 2016 already looks like it will be unbearable…
It seemed like the 2008 election campaign went on forever. If they’ve already started campaigning for 2016, imagine how we’ll feel by the time the actual election comes around.

@ScottProuty Just so you know, you have strong supporters @TheObamaDiary who did everything they could to spread your courageous work. TY!!— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) March 14, 2013
Good for you, Bob. This courageous man has laid himself open to a whole range of potential abuse by those who will wrongly blame him for Romney’s defeat, because, God Knows, Romney himself could never be responsible for such a thing. His coming forward was an act of pure bravery and I deeply admire him for it. Considering all the ugliness that Chips has to deal with, I can only imagine how hellish the right wing will try to make Scott Prouty’s life.
Yes, Jackie, he had a very good idea of all the peril, reflected on it, did everything in a way that was not the least be self-promotional, but very much enabled every American to listen to the real #BainMitt. Totally admirable.
My hope, as I’m sure it is of millions of Americans, is that he and his family will be safe from harm.
He is so articulate and principled that it will not surprise me if we see him in a leadership role someday.
Left unsaid: John Boehner, despite his power and authority, isn’t leading, doesn’t want to lead, has no intention of leading, and doesn’t even know how to lead — which is precisely why he keeps waiting for the White House and Senate to do real work while Boehner waits patiently on the sidelines.
Let’s make this easy for the Speaker: (1) Name one budget issue on which you and your party are prepared to compromise; (2) Name one concession you and your party are willing to accept in exchange for a related Democratic concession.
If the answer to either of these is questions is a blank stare, then the Speaker of the House has no business calling himself a leader of anyone or anything.
LH, I admit I’m not an expert on the history of House Speakers, but it would be hard to believe that there has been anyone worse than Boehner in the entire history of our republic. There may have be lazy speakers, dumb ones, alcoholic ones, weak ones and sniveling ones, but surely not all of these together in one abominable person. Certainly in modern times and in the whole course of my lifetime, there has been no one worse.
Thanks to all the noobies for stepping up. Some of us who get here 12 hours late, or two days later, really appreciate all the helping hands to keep this place of sanity going (and Chipsticks’ sanity, too). I get all my news from here.
Time to bring out one of my favorite quotes from a movie: “They hate us, because they think we think they’re stupid. And we hate them, because they’re stupid.”
But I do love the liberals among us:

Jeebus, as long as their imaginary bullets stay w/in not touching upon my beloved DC metro area. Well, let me reach further: my beloved USA. They need excorcize their ugly.
Righties were implicit and complicit in making pres Obama a One Term POTUS. They started in Dec of 2008. Both McConnell and Cantor had at least one meeting each, though, separately with different groups. Then Jan 20, 2009, the 20 TBGOPers with their wordsmith, Luntz, Gingrich, McCarthy, Cantor, Colburn, Ryan, Inhofe, etc staged a political Coup de’tat for which the National media has willfully due to their prejudices and hatred…..David Gregory has finally confessed of pres Obama, a Black Dem. How dare he win the 2 highest popular votes in our almost 237 yrs?
Well, UT, doesn’t mean we aren’t. Every stupid thing that’s being said right now by House and Senate Republicans is fodder for ads and outreach by all of us. We won’t forget.
“I have nothing against generals. I spent three hours with them this morning. And I’m a better person for it.” — SECDEF Chuck Hagel, former enlisted man
“It’s going to take a team effort in this country today to self-correct … the essence of a successful generation is always the response to those challenges … (about America) I don’t think God made us any better or maybe any smarter … what God did give us is an opportunity to build things like constitutions and have a society that believes in the rule of law, and all that is an opportunity to get better, to self-correct …
“The President has given me a tremendous opportunity to help all of this and be part of all of this with you, and I will always be grateful for that opportunity … this unique time is one that requires that certain leadership that is always important but not always critical … it is critical now … I’m fortunate enough to be a passing steward … not many people ever have an opportunity to shape and define the world, and shape and define the future … and in a very unsteady world, and we all have that opportunity now, and it’s historical …
“Militaries over the years … all forced to adapt to the realities of their time … and those that did not were defeated or declined or disappeared … the seriousness of where we are in the world today is of that magnitude … the future of our country and the defining world order is in play right now … it represents so many possibilities and potential to do such good.”

According to the tweets, Orly Taitz, birther queen has been spotted at CPAC. Given the confluence of competing “theorists” that are there, there might be a report of a sinkhole forming, due to a black hole of stupidity.
HF, if they think that armed rebellion against the government is a winning strategy they are sorely mistaken. Americans may be slow, inattentive and apathetic, but they do not like extremism of this sort and there will be a might backlash against any kind of violent behavior. People don’t always see the endless smearing, lying, planned inequality, voter suppression, racism and misogyny of the far right for what it is. But violence against the government will be very visible and it will focus attention on just how out of control the hatred has become. And you’re right. It isn’t amusing and if CPAC participates in the kind of extreme paranoia that can lead to violence, then any elected representative that takes part in it should be called out and condemned. And that means you, Ted Cruz.

if you are talking about “chat away” or “rise and shine” for example, Chips has the format pre set so its just bold and lowercase……is that what your asking?
Yeah. I was wondering how to make upper and lowercase letters in the title of a post; but if it’s pre-set then, okay then. If it isn’t, then I don’t know how to do it and was asking for help.
But, but, but…..to borrow from Jovie , Inohofe of OK said today that pres Obama is destroying USA. Then he added, Obama is charming.
So as a serious POTUS, Nope. But a Jester entertaining his sorry arse, Yes?
All my life, I have only hated one person. I gave up on that in 2005. But these low lives, TBGOPers are once again getting me to Loathed them, mercilessly.

At a certain level, Rove raises a legitimate point — but Rove clearly isn’t the right guy to be asking it. After all, Crossroads GPS outfit, which ran all kinds of partisan attack ads during the 2012 elections, isn’t technically considered a political organization, either. Rove has classified it as a “social welfare” organization, despite the evidence to the contrary.
Indeed, Organizing for Action enjoys the exact same nonprofit legal status as, you guessed it, Crossroads GPS. It’d be just as easy to ask, “Rove says Crossroads GPS isn’t a political organization. Really?”
Political activists who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE TRAGEDY OF THE CANCELLED WHITE HOUSE TOURS?
Justices warn spending cuts put critical legal services at risk
By Bill Mears, CNN Supreme Court Producer
—————————
Washington (CNN) — Members of the Supreme Court on Thursday warned forced spending cuts pose a serious threat to the U.S. justice system, saying they are “simply unsustainable” and will lead to a reduction of critical legal services.
Justices Anthony Kennedy and Stephen Breyer appeared before a panel of the House Appropriations Committee, urging lawmakers to ensure the so-called sequestration measures do not linger.
“We know our judicial colleagues, and we respect and admire their caution and their sense of high responsibility in making sensible and realistic budget requests,” said Kennedy, who heads the high court’s internal budget committee. “They are on the front lines of the legal system. That system must work with great efficiency if we are to fulfill the law’s promise that in a free society justice is accessible and prompt and fair. So we take this occasion to ask you to ensure that all of our courts have the resources they need in an urgent way to serve our free society.”
I do remember Chief Justice Roberts writing a letter to Congress a while back, asking them to get on with filling the lower court benches, as the entire judicial system is already backed up years with too many cases and not enough judges. I think the response was to ignore him. As we all know, the problem still exists and is compounded by the passing of time.

For a more nuanced and considerate opinion of the new TV show shuffle at MSNBC, please go read BooMan’s FP post. Whether or not you like Ed Schultz or can’t stand him, at the very least you can tell that BooMan gave some actual thought to what the MSNBC landscape will possibly be like with less Ed rather than that crap over at Balloon Juice.
…Cynics can doubt Schultz’s sincerity and criticize him for his chameleon-like ambition, but I think he’s spent enough time now with working men and women that his commitment to their causes should be beyond question. In fact, he seems to me to have a better understanding of how the labor and urban/minority groups are co-dependent and are empowered when they stand together than any other progressive I’ve seen on television…
The white progressive movement is dominated by intellectuals who have advanced degrees from top universities. There is nothing wrong with that. Except, quite often, these eggheads forget that they are numerically quite small in the overall progressive movement. Big Ed is a key piece in this landscape. So is Melissa Harris-Perry, who bridges the academic-urban/minority groups…
Even though I have been very upset with Ed numerous times, especially his part in 2010 election, I tend to agree with BooMan. Excellent points in this piece. I listened to him coming home today and he wants/plans to get out with the people and tell their story, or more to the point he made today, let THEM tell their story. I gathered much like he did with Scott last night…..he allowed him to tell his story. It wasn’t about out Ed. It was about Scott and his story.
Actually, I think most TODers have even more problems with Libertarian Chris Hayes (Schultz’s replacement) who is Glen Greenwald’s BFF. Maybe Booman should write a piece about that.
Yes, hf, I agree. I do as well though I could hear where cluny was coming from earlier today in her comment about CH. I have tended to see what he is talking about and selectively choose how much of his show I watched/paid attention to.
HF2, you and dotster might remember my experience with Big Eddie (Yuck).
I bite my tongue when folks compliment this man….
I’ll post my experience that I presented on Daily Kos in 2009 and let folks judge for themselves. Ignore the comments…those people over there were awful. I posted this at OFA at the time and got a whole lot of support. They flooded NBC with calls which got me the eventual apology. He lied to the powers to be at NBC and said he never said what he said until I sent the email to his boss.
Hi Donna, I probably wasn’t at Old Orange yet when this happened because I didn’t remember this – but thanks for letting us know of that awful treatment from Ed. His comments to you were totally inappropriate, uncouth and misogynistic and I’m glad that you remained persistent and able to get him to apologize eventually.
As most people know, I am NOT a fan Ed Schultz either. I have not watched his show for years now – even when he tantalized folks the other night with his big “get” of the person behind 47% video, I was the first to say that I would not give him the ratings because I simply don’t care for his crap otherwise.
Having said that, I’m not feeling optimistic about Hayes either. His shows have a distinct Libertarian feel and that group is even more hostile towards PBO & his supporters than a typical moderate Republican. And because Hayes is more genteel, and perceived to be far more intelligent than the average pundit, he can get away with a lot more outrageous stuff and subliminal messages.
I could conceive of a scenario where someone without prejudice one way or the other watches Hayes show for a year, and by the end of the 12-month period, find themselves increasingly opposed to Barack Obama and contemptuous of his policies and way of going about things, yet more sympathetic to certain Republicans. Hayes’ brand of analysis tends to foster a kind of righteous but permanent state of outrage at the current state of affairs & government, with regard to just about every tangential thing under the sun, accompanied by general inertia and inhibition of will to do anything to bring about real solutions to relevant problems this country faces.
The response you received from Ed was way outside reality – and sadly highlights why women have such a battle for any type of equality – since Adam was a boy – if you disagree with a man – it it obviously related to sex. (His answer was a prime example of the recent expose of why men think rape is a woman’s problem – and why should men be taught not to rape). That he is in the media and can (and did) influence a large number of people – yet reacts in this fashion to assertive and valid criticism shows utter lack of character.
I had no idea of the left’s attacks on the President in 2009 – given the comments on that post from so called democrats – I now understand more what happened in 2010. They really did score an own goal with their attacks on the President – no wonder the RWNJs thought they could take over the world.
I know very little about your TV personalities & mainly watch from clips from links here – but this one event you describe – makes me laugh at them all – how someone reacts in a crisis – or in reaction to criticism – shows very quickly who they are.
Sorry, Ed is a pig. Try emailing him a letter that criticizes him. He’ll answer you alright, complete with directions on how to go to hell. Any good he may be doing is erased by his obnoxious behavior at the personal level. I don’t have a problem with Chris, but I think he’s better served in a two hour format on the week-ends. His subjects and guest panels require more than the sound bites we hear in the one hour shows.
I agree. I don’t personally like Ed – he’s an intellectual lightweight and often doesn’t think before he speaks. But I completely agree that the Left has precious few voices that can bridge to the blue collar workers that we desperately need if we’re going to turn this country around. We have precious little progressive presence and what we don’t need is another snotty intellectual kid who’s never faced the realities of life that these blue collar Democrats face.
I deplore this change in msnbc programming. The only time Chris Hayes is passionate is when he’s attacking our President. I have seen some interesting panels on his program – the one on health care right before the Supreme Court decision was especially good. But usually I have to turn him off, because he is unrealistic and uninterested in the true plight of real people. He can be ‘independent’ in that ivory tower way, but these elections matter and there will be no progressive turnaround if we have to play by the purity rules of Chris Hayes. And of course, the minute he starts bashing PBO I change the channel.
‘Appeal to a younger demographic?’ We need to educate the younger demographic about the time when unions were strong, we had a robust middle class, and the children of those union workers were able to go to college and become doctors, engineers, teachers. And unfortunately, snotty little kids who now opine on the impurity of PBO’s progressive chops.
I blame amk AND Obama. Too late for the naughty mat, I’ve been down on my hands and knees all day. There there now, I assure you I’m just pulling up floor tile. Nothing nearly as much fun as a romp on the naughty mat.

‘ There’s an unfortunate tendency in the media to define the polls of the debate as being between the median member of the high-discipline Republican caucus and the right-most members of the low-discipline Democratic caucus. But that’s an observation about the structure of internal caucus dynamics, not the real ideological landscape. So if you want a taste of what a liberal alternative to conservative budgeting really looks like, I’d skip past the Senate Budget Committee Democrats’ plan and take a gander at the “Back to Work” (PDF) budget from the progressive caucus in the House.
~
Obviously this isn’t going to be enacted and it’s in that sense not a “serious” budget. But people should take it seriously. The CPC envisions America becoming a country that has higher taxes, commits a much smaller share of national output to its military, and compensates its health care providers less generously. That’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s not a wild and crazy dream. It means America would look more like the United Kingdom. Most of all it shows that the passion for reducing elgibility for Social Security and Medicare isn’t driven by the laws of mathematics. It’s driven by a desire to protect the military budget, keep taxes low, and keep provider payment rates high. Those are all reasonable things to want to do and you can see why people would want to do them, but you can also see why people don’t want to be forced into a zero sum choice between welfare state programs for the elderly and education and infrastructure programs for the future.’
‘ Treasury Secretary Jack Lew will visit Beijing on March 19 and 20 to meet with China’s new leadership, in his first international trip after being confirmed by the Senate at the end of last month. ‘

Indeed it seems the MSM are starting to wise up to Ryan’s shenanigans.
“Not only does it balance the budget in 10 years while reducing tax rates, it also does so without any pain or suffering — or even breaking a sweat. It achieves not just the longtime goals of policymakers — “a safety net strengthened . . . retirement secured . . . a nation protected” — but also brings about changes in human nature that have bedeviled civilization from the beginning of time. “This budget ends cronyism; eliminates waste, fraud and abuse,” Ryan’s plan promises.
“Now, how do we do this?” Ryan (R-Wis.), the House Budget Committee chairman, asked with a magician’s flourish as he unveiled his budget Tuesday morning.
Here’s how: The former Republican vice presidential candidate’s budget eliminates ___ loopholes in the tax code, cutting the ___ and the ____ deductions. It reduces spending on the ____ program by _____ and the _____ program by _____. Retirees would see ____, students would experience ____ and the poor would be _____.
Just got back from my presentation, and I’m wiped out. We all went to lunch afterwards, where I had a very disappointing chile verde which was mostly fat, and the TVs in the restaurant were all tuned to Pox News. I wonder how the owner felt about serving a bunch of Commie, pinko, liberal librarians?
I am now going to change into shorts and collapse. Chat on!
…Said the bartender: “I handed him a diet Coke with lemon on it, because I was told that that’s what he drank… He took it and turned and didn’t say anything. I presented him the exact right drink that he wanted… Had it there, sitting there on a napkin. He took it out of my hand and turned his back without a ‘thank you’ or anything else.”
Romney is a rick prick, but there are also alot of people who are not rich who also treat “service” staff like they are less than or invisible.
Ya’ll know I’m a NOLA girl born and raised. If ya know anything ’bout NOLA then you know tourism is our bread and butter. So service staff are everywhere and I’d bet that over 1/2 of the working population in NOLA are in the tourism industry. A large number of my family have worked or currently work in the service industry. My paternal grandmother was a head chef at a bigtime French Quarter restaurant. My paternal grandfather was a cab driver. My father was a cook in the army. My father’s sister was a top chef and worked in a number of the well-known restaurants in NOLA before she retired after Katrina. My maternal grandmother and my mom’s sister are in housekeeping (my grandmother stopped when she became disabled and my aunt is still a housekeeper at both a motel and a local casino). My mom’s youngest sister works as a room service clerk in a 5star hotel in the Quarter. Two of my uncles work at 2 different French Quarter restaurants as sous chefs. Two of my younger cousins work as a waiter and a barback in 2 other restaurants different than my uncles and my cousin’s husband is a pastry chef at one of the La Madelaine’s bakeries in the city.
The stories my family have to tell about the way they are talked to by certain customers would piss anyone off. I won’t even begin to tell you the stories they tell about how service people get back at the people who think they can treat them like crap. Even regular everyday Joes sometimes forget that the waiter, bartender, housekeepers and other service staff are real people and just because they are being paid to “serve” you, it doesn’t mean that they don’t deserve some courtesy and decency when they do a good job. A Thank you goes a long way even when you don’t leave a tip.
I have a relative that I won’t eat out with because I DON’T want to get “secret sauce” due to “guilt by association.” She treats waitstaff horrendously!
I, on the other hand, REMEMBER WHEN! From the ages of 6-13, I cleaned the ashes out of a neighbors woodstove, cleaned her bathroom, and dusted twice a week. Age 14 started working as a store clerk. The only two “glamorous” jobs I had as a teen were modeling at a couple of department stores and working as an exercise instructor at Elaine Powers Figure Salon. While in the Marine Corps, when money was tight, I worked as a waitress or bartender at the base club (they guys learned to keep their hands off my derriere when I kept “accidentally on purpose” dropping full trays in their lap). I, REMEMBER WHEN! Therefore, I treat service staff the way I want to be treated; and the lower you are on the totem pole, the better I treat you.
There was a car parked at the event FESTOONED with bumper stickers. Literally, every inch of the vehicle was covered in the things. So, of course, I went to investigate. And one sticker read: “Actions speak louder than a bumpersticker”. I’d like to think that he/she put that there tongue in cheek, but more likely he/she just has no powers of self-reflection.

My dog got stung by a sting ray today, it swelled up, so I soaked it in hot water.
And took her to doctor. They said no barns in wound, cleaned it out real good, gave her anti biotic shot and pain shot, and prescribed Pain an Anti biotic pills. She is high from the pain medication, and really drowsy now.
I felt so bad.

In fact, he seems to me to have a better understanding of how the labor and urban/minority groups are co-dependent and are empowered when they stand together than any other progressive I’ve seen on television.

intriguing,,,,but this is the most interesting line….
The first and most powerful group is made of lawmakers who represent urban areas with large minority populations. Most of these lawmakers are black, Latino, or Asian, and they dominate the Progressive Caucus in the House of Representatives….
Maybe we should remind @msnbc that viewership has changed/is changing?
I agree Lootenant. She’s waiting in the wings though. She stood in today for Alex and will be in for MHP this weekend. Notice that she has a new ‘do’ too. Any day now for sure. She might even replace Maddow for a bit while she runs around on her book promo.
Yes, sailor, good to see her increasing presence!

Clearly, with their latest budget plan, House Republicans fail to understand that simply restating bad ideas doesn’t make them any better.

Alas, I don’t tweet.
There you are, Theo, it sure is good to see you!
Are you settled in, wherever, now? Hope so.

Indeed!

Bob – That’s wonderful about Scott. Congrats! I, therefore, as before, favorited and R/T’d yours!
Boehner still waiting for others to ‘lead’
By Steve Benen
———————————–

Perfect!
He’s the laziest, that’s for sure. He was famously lazy before he got the job and he’s gotten even lazier since.

I can just imagine the quivering CPAC crowd, driving themselves into a frenzy with imagined attacks on their “freedoms”! loony-toons.
You got it. They won’t sleep tonight. And I only laugh at that last part.
Don’t forget – they sleep with their trusty guns under their pillows. We can only hope they don’t blow out what’s left of their brains as they sleep as they fidget in distress… Although, many may not even notice the difference…
Jeebus, as long as their imaginary bullets stay w/in not touching upon my beloved DC metro area. Well, let me reach further: my beloved USA. They need excorcize their ugly.
Well said – they certainly need an exorcism of some sort.
Yes, you can imagine them in their hotel rooms, afraid to turn out the light because the bed bug drones might bite.
But at least they can cling to the Bibles they found in the hotel room drawers (not to mock the Bible, just the guns-and-religions clingers!).
Watching Chuck Hagel being sworn in now.
VP Biden: Best.Vice.President.Evah.
Thanks again to lovely plains, UT, amk, and LL for stepping up to the plate to help Chipsticks. Everyone’s posts have been terrific.
I’ll second that!!!
And I’m a better person for it.” — SECDEF Chuck Hagel, former enlisted man
“We will judge our policies on the worthiness of your sacrifice … ” — SECDEF Chuck Hagel, speaking to the men and women of the U.S. military
Secretary Hagel also acknowledged the medics who served with him in Vietnam, and his other comrades in arms.
- excerpts from Chuck Hagel’s remarks, as best I could grab them
that is such a powerful statement. a complete shift in thinking about warfare. thank you pbo and sec hagel.
According to the tweets, Orly Taitz, birther queen has been spotted at CPAC.
Given the confluence of competing “theorists” that are there, there might be a report of a sinkhole forming, due to a black hole of stupidity.
At last!
If CPAC didn’t invite her, she bought the ticket to get there.
Yup, but it’s funny to see her there.
Having followed her … ineptness … for years, I can see her haranguing people.
TWLITHOTU is an acronym used for her: “The Worst Lawyer in the history of the universe.”
That’s why when the MSM gives organizations like CPAC a platform, I’m not amused. I don’t find it entertaining or trivial.

Example: I Like Peanut Butter. i like peanut butter.
Thanks.
if you are talking about “chat away” or “rise and shine” for example, Chips has the format pre set so its just bold and lowercase……is that what your asking?
Yeah. I was wondering how to make upper and lowercase letters in the title of a post; but if it’s pre-set then, okay then. If it isn’t, then I don’t know how to do it and was asking for help.

Political players in glass houses…
——————————————–

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of Supreme Court Justices pleading their case to the Legislative Branch, out loud like this, before. Wow.
My take on this =
For a more nuanced and considerate opinion of the new TV show shuffle at MSNBC, please go read BooMan’s FP post. Whether or not you like Ed Schultz or can’t stand him, at the very least you can tell that BooMan gave some actual thought to what the MSNBC landscape will possibly be like with less Ed rather than that crap over at Balloon Juice.
Ed Schultz Fills an Important Niche
by BooMan
Even though I have been very upset with Ed numerous times, especially his part in 2010 election, I tend to agree with BooMan. Excellent points in this piece. I listened to him coming home today and he wants/plans to get out with the people and tell their story, or more to the point he made today, let THEM tell their story. I gathered much like he did with Scott last night…..he allowed him to tell his story. It wasn’t about out Ed. It was about Scott and his story.
His interview with Scott Pouty was excellent. He let Scott tell his own story. I was impressed.
Yeah he didn’t over talk or cut off like ‘tweety’ does.
He lied to the powers to be at NBC and said he never said what he said until I sent the email to his boss.
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/11/13/804244/-Ed-Schultz-Personally-Offended-Me-Today-Updated2X
Ed’s a pig as Cookemom stated!!!
Hi donna
And unfortunately, snotty little kids who now opine on the impurity of PBO’s progressive chops.

interesting read here:

Afternoon Obots!
Chat on!
Congrats LL on completing your presentation. Don’t you wonder how PBO does it…
If I give one major presentation in a day, I’m spent for that day.

Bartender Behind Hidden Video Had Met Romney Before
Romney is a rick prick, but there are also alot of people who are not rich who also treat “service” staff like they are less than or invisible.
Oh, and CHELSEA IS ON TO THE QUARTERFINALS!!!
Of the Europa league I believe.
I couldn’t follow the game at all. I’ll have to catch the replay. CHELSEA! CHELSEA! CHELSEA!
Ok, one more thing and I’ll really go and rest.
Ok….there’s a new post.

Watching Rev Al’s show & there’s a segment w/ Mika talking about obesity & empowering women. Sorry, Mika, but can you tell me why you let Joe talk down to you on a daily basis, allow him to disempower you? Hard to believe words in your book when for whatever reason you can’t walk the talk. Just my thoughts.
Hi-
My dog got stung by a sting ray today, it swelled up, so I soaked it in hot water.
And took her to doctor. They said no barns in wound, cleaned it out real good, gave her anti biotic shot and pain shot, and prescribed Pain an Anti biotic pills. She is high from the pain medication, and really drowsy now.
I felt so bad.
