Dem Congressional Committee thinks 52 House seats are in play in 2014:

CO-6 used to be my district until we were re-districted. MikeCoffman is horrible. Now we have a good Dem running against him. It would make my day to get Coffman out.
Something tells me Chipsticks will be making her awesome grand return to TOD tomorrow; it will after all be St. Paddy’s Day. So pipe down the partying and pretend you’ve all been good.

I personally hope the plane leaves the WH press on the Tarmac. They only report what they feel like and in “snark mode.”
So I will wait here patiently for all the positive, informative, facts and lovely photos that I know will be afforded to us exclusively here by
Ms. Chips and our wonderful professional team.
Thank you, UT, LL and Amok for doing a great job. Each of you have brought your unique styles and expertise at a crucial time when we needed it most. Take a bow…..
Not too busy tonight it appears. I am sitting in a hotel in downtown Indianapolis – here for a higher education conference. Never been to downtown Indianapolis before – its pretty cool. Beautiful old capitol building. And a great mall right next door. Lots of pro gun signs on the interstate here in Indiana -how guns save lives. hmmmm
I love Indy—–great small big city. It’s got all the stuff of a big city but you can move around there—-not too tough getting from here to there. Many beautiful lake and scenic areas and many interesting eclectic neighborhoods—-and tons of the best restaurants anywhere, from casual on up. Daughter lives there, and we love our visits there. And I like the people there—-big Obama signs in the office windows downtown during election seasons—-and diverse socializing seen everywhere. One of the bright lights in Indiana.
President Obama won in Indianapolis in 2008 on the way to very narrowly winning the state of Indiana. I don’t have the figures about how he did in Indianapolis in 2012, despite his loss of Indiana. But I am sure he did very well in the city.

Hey, VC, that’s the place I always start at because I always come here very late. I do that to make sure that once I arrive at the latest thread I at least know what people are talking about when they refer to previous threads. On the downside, I am always getting in the conversations late, which means that people I am responding to are probably long gone to do other important things. I doubt that you will see this comment that I am posting, 2 hours after, in response to your comment. But I definitely appreciate your frustration about not knowing where to begin once you’ve missed the entire day of posts at TOD.
Oh UT, that picture is so beautiful. Thank you! I am busy cleaning and took a break to see what was going on. So worth all these wonderful pictures you have posted. Now back to work.
Love this song. Damn it. I missed the chance to go see his concert here the other night! Coworker of mine went and they said it was amazing! Of course it was…it’s Eric Clapton!!!!! Just got finished watching “History of the Eagles” on Showtime. Equally awesome:) They still got it!
Just dropping in to see if you are playing tricks on. I’m watching you. May I think I’m Irish tomorrow? My Mom did. I think the Vikings plundered and pillaged there. They were as far as Turkey I think. 🍀 I have one % battery left after posting here.
What Stae do you think LP? Hawaii deserves it. Illinois has Lincoln. Does Lincoln have a Library? Have you been to a Presidential Library? I went to Pres. Eisenhower in Abilene, Kansa. all the gifts given him while in office were on display.
I love the look on the President’s face in this picture: ” Okay everyone, look what I’ve got!!! Isn’t she the greatest, and she’s mine!!!” That to me is his expression.
Want to say I have enjoyed the variety of people posting this past week. The variety of outlooks and choices is fun. I too hope Chips has had a great rest, and knows that we can actually behave ourselves!
Thanks to everyone who worked hard to bring us this info. Hopefully Chips knows if she needs a break again, she can take one.
I so agree – I’ve been missing Ms Chips but those who have stepped in to help have been wonderful. Will be good that they can continue to share the load – and keep everyone together.
Yes Indeed! LovelyPlains, Utaustinliberal, Amk and Liberal Librarian have all done a fabulous job filling in for Chips. Great thanks to all of them. Thanks also to Chips for selecting such fine and talented people to carry on the wonderful job she has been doing without missing a bit. I hope Chips is enjoying some well deserved rest.
So, I’ve been a busy house husband today. The missus had to go into work for a spot to get everything squared away before the surgery. So it was just me and the cats and Stewie. I took the wonderpup for an outing to Centinela Pet & Feed. He was overwhelmed. Just got done feeding her friends as they give her a mani/pedi. Then tomorrow Stewie goes off to boarding school while she gets her hair done and I do more house husband chores.
Her cat-scratched leg was very warm this morning, and we were worried it would delay the surgery. Miraculously, an hour later it was cold again. Her doctor called in antibiotics, and the surgery is on track. Of course I will let you all know how it went as soon as the surgeon comes to find me.
Today’s visit was a brief one for me, but I cannot sign off without saying THANKS to all the Chipadees who stepped in to give Lady Mayor Chips a chance to breathe and relax. I trust Chips Chica used it well.
THANK YOU ALL very much, Lovely Plains, Amk, Lib-Librarian, and, the very lovely, the very talented, the only ….oh, no preferential treatment for the wimmin in the bunch?….oh, okay,…and Utal! It being the first time our Lady Mayor has been away from home for so long you have to have realized we (some of us) would have been a bit nervous. You all really, really kept the lights burning in this village of ours and I am both impressed at the seamless nature of the transition AND thankful. G’Night y’all!
Howdy!
Hi, CarolMae, being on top of the post looks good on you! (Getting ready for St. Patty’s day, I see.)
Congrats.
Thanks Arapaho. Be wearing your green tomorrow.

Question:
How many democratic seats are in play, hopefully less than 25.

Did you see their beautiful Memorial to Veterans? It really is a beautiful Main Street.
yes, Indianapolis is a beautiful and very accessible city. easy to see most sites – including the speedway.
moving around downtown it is difficult to imagine how many people in that state can be so misguided
Yes, but on Memorial Day, my son tells me the natives leave. 🍀

Dear TOD Problem Solver:
When you have missed an entire day of posting, without even the opportunity to peek in, WHERE exactly do you start?
Bewildered in CA
Well, I’ve been told, it’s best to start at the beginning…..”Glinda”
Has Glinda ever visited TODville? The beginning is way back in another lifetime labelled ‘rise and shine’!
Just dive in, the waters fine. Although there are several good posts at the last thread.
Not a swimmer, me; therefore no way can I dive! Will hold my nose and step warily down the steps into that fine water you’ve described. Thanks.
It’s green. Better than yellow!

dear mr president
we would love to give you TWO libraries! so don’t feel like you have to decide on either pie or ice cream–both is best!
What Stae do you think LP? Hawaii deserves it. Illinois has Lincoln. Does Lincoln have a Library? Have you been to a Presidential Library? I went to Pres. Eisenhower in Abilene, Kansa.
