(No one tell Chips that while a 1-1 draw gets you a point in the standings in a competitive match, in a friendly it’s, well, just a 1-1 draw.)

    Way to go Chips!!!

Do not upset her. It’s not pretty when she’s upset about this game with the ball and the kicking and the other stuff which I do not understand.

Actually, the game is super easy. You kick the ball and put it in the net. That’s it. The only tricky part is learning about the offside rule. But even that you’ll understand after watching one or two games.

UT, sometimes a tie for a team that was expected to lose can be considered a win. At least Chipsticks considers a tie a win. Contrast that with the U.S. Senate where 41 Republican votes out of 100 are considered by the media as a win for the Republican party.

I still remember that G8 meeting in Camp David when there was much gloating that Cameron and Merkel refused stimulus and preferred austerity, despite the President warning them that not pursuing growth could damage the global economy. I hope they privately admit that they were wrong, at least.

    Must Read: I can’t believe this…

“So it was with shock (and with something like the opposite of awe) that, seven years later, the newly elected Barack Obama learned that the Bush administration had never even drawn up plans for attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities. Obama discovered this when he asked his generals for their plan, and they had none. Bush had never asked for one. The bellicose rhetoric on Iran, in other words, was empty of substance.”

Another good read from The People’s View!!

HEADLINE: One in Four Liberals Still Suffering from Obamacare Derangement Syndrome

// … with 25% of the liberals in the survey saying they do not support the president’s health care law. You know which crowd this is - this is the Left’s very own “kill the bill” and public option pony crowd…

…If you care about real people at all, you should be thankful for the Affordable Care Act. There is not one iota of reason for liberals to oppose the ACA, not to mention make up fully a third of the opposition. Except, of course, ODS, or Obama Derangement Syndrome. The Left’s establishment - the people who dominate the Left’s media outlets new and old - still has not accepted the President as the legitimate leader of the progressive movement in this country. And they can’t get over the fact that he got things done by setting their agitation aside… //

One in Four Liberals Still Suffering from Obamacare Derangement Syndrome

Opposing the Affordable Care Act - the most progressive leap forward in health care reform at least since the advent of Medicare and probably the greatest strengthening of the social safety net since the creation of Social Security - because it’s not “liberal enough” is a lot like opposing air travel because consumer jets do not travel at the speed of sound.

I heard that there will be a concert show for Oklahoma tonight on NBC, with Blake Shelton and a number of country music stars. I’m not familiar with OK, but I is there no other music genre big in OK or is it primarily country music.

It’s not for any particular reason, but being a non-Country fan myself, my first thought was do they only like country music in OK? But then I figured it mus be the big draw for Oklahomans.

So TOD OK peeps what other famous musicians hail from Ok who are NOT country musicians. Just wondering.

Yes, I would say country music is probably the #1 music pick of Oklahomans. However, we do have excellent jazz and classical music too. Our Oklahoma Philharmonic is excellent and brings in world class guest stars every year.
However……to make a lot of money in one night, country is the way to go. Reba McIntire is a guaranteed draw…..the others I haven’t even heard of. I’m not a country music fan at all.
I can, however, name the guest artists for the Philharmonic.
Well, we’re under a severe weather warning again, but NOT a tornado warning. Heavy rain, wind, thunder, lightnng…..no hail so far. We’ve given our dog, Rose, her Benadryl to keep her calm during the thunder. She just shakes.

it just struck me how this tribute shows are cast and I realized that the other tribute seemed to be more diverse, if that’s the right term, and this one just struck me as basically being about mainly one genre of music.

Having said that, I do love Reba McIntire, but not for her music, I loved her sitcom Reba.

Anyone planning to see “Motown” on Broadway - please do. You will not be disappointed - in fact, you will plan to go back a second time. Please ignore professional reviews - they are BS. Take it from the ordinary folks like myself who enjoyed the show from START to FINISH. And the entire audience was having fun, singing, clapping, dancing, interacting! It was a BLAST! :) :) Oooh Smokey Robinson..ooh the Jackson 5…ooh Marvin…ooooooh….Diana…Mary…Gladys…oooh…

It’s hard to get tickets (and it will get harder), so don’t delay any further. Only drawback is that Tx are not cheap - at $137 a pop and not yet on the discount table because demand is so high. But it’s worth every penny of it. :) :)

    AB Stoddard>>>>>>>>>>Beltway bubble

All right wing talking points and wish list for 2014 on hardball just now.

Wow! If things go as she says the democrats have had everything go bad for them.

The economy is getting better, and she is discounting that! That’s a biggie!
