Glenn Greenwald expertly previews the 2012 election

Note where he wonders if President Obama’s supporters would be enthused enough in 2012 “to get out of bed” and vote …. oh boy.

…. and not once in the entire interview did the ‘king’ of civil liberties mention GOP voter suppression efforts.

But, hey, not an issue that concerns him, of course.

A man left for work one Friday afternoon. Instead of going home, he stayed out the entire weekend hunting with the boys and spending all his wages.

When he finally got home on Sunday night, he was confronted by his very angry wife.

After two hours, she stopped nagging and said: ‘How would you like it if you didn’t see me for two or three days?’ He replied: ‘That would be fine with me.’ Monday went by and he didn’t see his wife. Tuesday and Wednesday came and went with the same results.

Thursday, the swelling went down just enough for him to see her a little out of the corner of his left eye.

LDS, what makes it even funnier is that someone cares enough what he thinks to take him seriously and put him on tv. His smirk is nauseating and he’s very adept at absolutely asserting what he knows nothing about. What a complete phony.

was wondering how Netanyahu and the leaders of Israel are reacting to this election – especially the ones who were determined to attack Iran.

could this present a chance for negotiating the nuclear program so that it is limited to energy-generation and not the bomb?

Greenie voted for Bush in 2000 and supported The Decider’s illegal invasion of Iraq, which was also a war crime. Then he supported the Koch Brothers’ corporatist position on Citizen United (“corporations are people”).

Greenie is nothing more than a sad little disturbed crumb.

I noticed that Ed had Adam Green on his show today and Ed vehemently disagreed with him and stood up for PBO for a change. Adam Green sounded just like Glenn Greenwald’s twin. He tried to compare the 14 representatives who left the state in Wisconsin to Snowden leaving the country. My goodness!!!

        June 16, 2013 at 10:09 pm

Oh Good Grief, why do people like Adam Green get invited to any of these shows. Shouldn’t there be a basic intelligence test–IQ higher than shoe size–before someone is invited on. I’m glad Ed fought back, but, really, if he hadn’t, I would have questioned Ed’s sanity.

Meanwhile, Emoprog Hayes’ “exclusive” interview with Greenie bombed, resulting in the lowest rated show in MSNBC’s 8PM time slot in ten years. The ratings for the show are a complete failure. Cancellation is now a matter of when, not if.

Oh, didn’t you realize that the MSM’s job is to set the narrative for domestic events? (heavy on the sarcasm here)

They WANTED HRC to win because they could lazily rely on their memory of the Clinton administration, coupled with the first woman POTUS candidate to make their jobs easier.

Surprise, surprise, the voters and caucus-goers had something to say about who won the Dem 2008 primary.

I’ve posted this tweet before (retweeted by the odious TIME Yalie @zekejmiller), but this is Thursday’s example of the MSM putting the “uppity” President in his place (which is now a daily occurrence).

Your doctor has scheduled you for an autopsy on ___________ at _______ AM/PM. St. Amgems Hospital wants you to be prepared for what should be an eventful time. This guide should answer the most common questions in regard to your procedure. Please call your doctor’s office if you have any further questions. Please remember, autopsies are performed on an “as needed” procedure. If you, or a qualified Medical Examiner chooses to cancel your autopsy, the Pathology department requires 24 hours notice.

      WHAT IS AN AUTOPSY?
As advanced as medical science is, sometimes we need more thorough procedures to find out why your living status has been impaired. An autopsy can include CAT scans, X-rays, and surgical evaluation.

      WILL IT INVOLVE SURGERY?
Yes. At times when there is a lack of obvious traumatic impact, surgery is needed. Your doctor may wish to examine your vital organs. This involves removal of the organs for the purpose of study. The contents of your stomach will also be examined, so we urge you not to take anything by mouth for 12 (twelve) hours before cessation of your existence or the procedure.

      WILL IT HURT?
We certainly hope not. If at any time you’re feeling uncomfortable, please feel free to alert the pathologist.

      WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
We recommend a very large, empty suitcase. Ideally, your family should sign a “permission for disposal” form. If this has been done, you’ll be provided with an effects bag and all unwanted matter will be disposed of in a device affectionately known as “Chuckie”. It can also be helpful for you to bring anything that might have contributed to your current condition. This can include any drugs containers from medications you might have ingested.

WHEN CAN I RETURN TO WORK?
Not for a while. We suggest you worry about this after your autopsy.

      WILL I HAVE A SCAR?
We take vanity in consideration. You may have a large “Y” shaped incision on your torso. There may also be some scalp incisions that can be covered by a competent professional.

WILL YOU LAUGH AT MY WEENIE?
Yes. Pathology is a profession fraught with stress and alcoholism. Your doctor may already have placed you in the Weenie Relocation Program (WRP) which means your weenie might end up in any number of body cavities, at the whim of your doctor. Should you not want us to laugh at your weenie, we suggest you dispose of it beforehand.

We at St. Amgems want your autopsy to be a positive experience and promise to treat your earthly remains with dignity and respect (aside from the weenie dealie). Please refer to our brochures “Cadaver’s Bill of rights” and “So You’re Dead. What Next?” for more information.

Remember, here at St. Amgems, our day starts when yours ends!

President Barack Obama has chosen a high-powered Washington lawyer with extensive experience in all three branches of the government to be the State Department’s special envoy for closing down the military-run prison at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba.

Clifford Sloan is the pick to reopen the State Department’s Office of Guantanamo Closure, shuttered since January and folded into the department’s legal adviser’s office when the administration, in the face of congressional obstacles, effectively gave up its attempt to close the prison.

A formal announcement of Sloan’s appointment was expected Monday, according to officials briefed on the matter. They spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the appointment publicly before the formal announcement.
