      Congrats on 1st Layla. On twitter trying to keep up with Zimmerman trial. HLN is only presenting defense arguments so I had to turn it off.

        Not true…..Per one analyst on MSNBC, the prosecutor took only 32 Minutes to present their opening statements, but that the Defense started off with a flat joke and was still going on.

      of my alright! there is some shit in that fan!!!!

  1. June 24, 2013 at 1:29 pm

    ICARUS gets burned!

    You really can’t make this stuff up. Snowden’s lawyer is now saying he left Hong Kong because he just “wants to live a simple life.”

    They’re just making stuff up now.

    I hope they burn Greenwald’s behind for aiding and abetting. Luke Hayes needs to talk some sense into his brother Chris for buying GG’s nonsense.

    When will Greenwald tell The Guardian he wants to spend more time with his family? The Guardian needs to cut ties with him soon.

    Absolute hate…..in GG’s case…..has lead him to plot, plan and yes……be accessory to breaking federal laws.

    Diplomatic fallout over Snowden.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-23028821

    A whistle-blower protecting individual privacy and unmasking governmental hypocrisy, or traitor to his country?

    Whatever the verdict on Edward Snowden’s activities, his leaking of details of a vast US operation to access and monitor communications inevitably has serious diplomatic repercussions.

    And his flight from US jurisdiction – reportedly from Hong Kong to Moscow en route, possibly, to Ecuador – is throwing up problems for the Americans, and indeed his hosts, at virtually every stop.

    The timing of his disclosures – just as the US president was meeting his Chinese counterpart, with Chinese computer-hacking high on the agenda – was a gift horse for Beijing.

    At a stroke, the US was no longer able to portray China as a cyber-villain.

    ///

    China may have benefited from Mr Snowden’s revelations, but it seems that the Chinese authorities saw no advantage in Hong Kong giving sanctuary to the fugitive US intelligence contractor.

    ///

    Better to move Mr Snowden on.

    ///

    China may have benefited from Mr Snowden’s revelations, but it seems that the Chinese authorities saw no advantage in Hong Kong giving sanctuary to the fugitive US intelligence contractor.

    Much has been made of Hong Kong’s relative legal autonomy.

    But few China watchers believe that the Beijing authorities would not have made their preference clear. China, after all, retains responsibility for foreign policy – and the long-term presence of Mr Snowden, and a drawn-out legal wrangle with Washington, would have sullied a sometimes difficult but nonetheless important relationship for both countries.

    ///

    The Snowden affair clearly looks set to provide another irritant in relations between Washington and Moscow.

    Now Mr Snowden is heading… well we don’t know exactly where, though Ecuador has stated that he has applied for political asylum there.

    He may be transiting through Cuba, another ideological opponent of Washington.

    Some might say there is something paradoxical about the reported map of Mr Snowden’s flight.

    Having sought to expose what he regards as hypocrisy and malpractice in the behaviour of US intelligence services, he is now engaged in a tour of a series of countries whose records, human rights organisations say, leave a lot to be desired.

    It’s amazing to me that ”Mr. Transparency” Greenwald supports Citizens United. So from his balcony in Brazil, he wants National Security Operations to be in the open but has no problem whatsoever with floods of SECRET corporate donations during elections…..

    He’s such a fraud. No wonder he gets ”testy” when someone question his ”integrity”.

    • June 24, 2013 at 1:42 pm

      Do you have a link to source that he supports Citizens United? (Not that I don’t believe you, I do).

    • June 24, 2013 at 1:47 pm

      Christi, I think a link is warranted so we can safely retweet your comment.

        See my tweet above with Chips’ link.

        Read the article and you’ll want to throw up. It’s obvious, in 2010, that GG was a raving Republican buying every Republican lie. Someone who ‘defers’ to Bush’s right to start an unnecessary war but is outraged that PBO, who actually sees the information on threats, would have the audacity to try to balance privacy and security.

        He is a monstrous, libertarian/Repub sham and it sickens me that he gets the attention he gets.

    Truth…..has a way of crystallizing things and separating liars from those who have made honest mistakes.

    GG will soon be but a fleeting illusion, never heard from again.

    Someone is paying this young fool… and I say fool merely because I consider him quite stupid- not because I believe he’s being used. I think he’s been in on this “plot” since the get go – along with his idiot pal Greenwald- where the big money is coming from is my question?? Another country OR Koch Brothers.. or some other “American”?

    • 53 debz
      June 24, 2013 at 2:01 pm

      He is a fool and I think he is being played by everyone. I have found it interesting that the US didn’t seem to care where he was or where he is going. From not getting an interpol warrant, to wikieleaks putting out a daily itinerary, (as if he’s on vacation) and still, the government being one step behind him. In the meantime, he’s being passed around from one foreign intelligence agency to the next. He is way in over his head.

        June 24, 2013 at 2:12 pm

        I agree that he is in way over his head… as this is so serious. If he thinks the day won’t come that he’ll be caught – he really is a fool. Someone made him believe (or he is just that arrogant) that he would be protected/ safe from govt reprisal.

        The thing is I’m still waiting to hear what he ‘uncovered’ that is so ‘illegal’ by the NSA.

      • June 24, 2013 at 2:12 pm

        Trust me debz – the US gov’t has known exactly where this guy has been going. They’re just giving him and his accomplices enough rope (and time) to hang themselves.

    • June 24, 2013 at 1:53 pm

      Isn’t the election tomorrow? Why call a race the day before just to depress turnout?

      • June 24, 2013 at 1:59 pm

        It’s tomorrow, was just noting that RW Club for Growth sees the writing on the wall….. Boston Herald had a poll showing him up 20 this weekend…… no alterier motive HF, just pre-celebrating…..”counting chickens before they are hatched”

        • June 24, 2013 at 2:04 pm

          No I don’t think they have ulterior motives – perhaps a bit naive. I don’t like to call races based on polls – especially when the outcome depends on turnout.

    Senator Bill Nelson (D-FL) is speaking about Snowden on the Senate floor now. He believes there is a good chance Putin will send him to the US. Interesting.

    • June 24, 2013 at 2:12 pm

      Thanks for this post, Bill. Can’t help but wonder if the “delay” is to squeeze every bit of info. from Snowden and his laptops before they send him “home”?

      • 68 57andfemale
        June 24, 2013 at 2:20 pm

        Even if Russia is in complete agreement to send him to the U.S., there are diplomatic and legal t’s to cross and i’s to dot. It would take awhile.

    While China sent young Mr Snowjob on his way they basically just handed the DOJ what they needed to flat out charge him with espionage.

    Somewhere in Brazil a man fainted. The thud of his body hitting the floor could be heard around the world.
