Bolivia: President Morales’ Plane Rerouted to Austria on Suspicion Snowden on Board.
HA! talk about poisoned by assumed association. They thought Snow-boy was hidden on the plane.
That’s what I posted in the other thread. These countries are freaking out about the idea that Snowden could touch down on their soil, so that really says something.
This story has me ROFL!!!!
I want to laugh more, but the Greenwald/Snowden/Assange crew have really taken the gullible far Lefties for a ride and gotten some of them ridiculously invested – it’s a little freaky. They’ll probably start up candlelight vigils if and when he’s finally brought back to the US after trying so desperately to avoid trial.
That’s why I trust President Obama & his Administration to keep the ship righted.
Beautiful memories for all of us, Chips. Thank you.

Apparently, NJ doesn’t care about policy they love Christie!
We’ll have to see if some of those who “love” him will vote for him, against everybody’s best interests.
I keep hoping the decent people of New Jersey will open their eyes concerning that Chris Christie. When hurricane Sandy hit all Christie done was his job, he didn’t do anything extra special. He is still a Republican and when push come to shove he can’t be trusted.
Okay Democrats wake up.
Hi Jacqueline, See tweet down thread …
Beginning to think Christie won’t run again for governor – he’s doing all he can to appeal to RWNJs for 2016
Beautiful Lady is right. She is a gem.
The reason why the Businesses implementation of Obamacare was delayed was because a lot of businesses, out of spite were dropping their full time workers down to 30 hours per week.
So, now they have no right to do that and individuals can still sign up for the exchanges.

The opposition to ACA is dancing in the streets. They think this is the beginning of the end of ACA.
And as usual, they are WRONG.
Exactly, how many companies with over 50 employees do not currently offer health insurance?
Jason Alexander and Brian Williams made the timing of this announcement sound real sinister—–and then shared sortof a tsk, tsk, tsk ‘told you so’ thing, adding that this was going to cause a lot of negative response.
@jonfavs I agree. These "freakouts" are tiresome and have a feel of being almost scripted.— (@aspirational12) July 02, 2013
I seriously would like to “adopt” Jon Favreau into my family. I love that “kid.”
not sure about that, Jovie. businesses can stillcreduce hours.
Chat away? Oh, okay.
Once upon a time there was a little girl called……. who had lovely green hair and eyes the colour of a young giraffe. She…
Here’s a short vid clip of Miche and Laura Bush at CBS
Interestingly enough this clip lets us know FLOTUS was ASKED if life in the WH was like a prison, whereas previously from the commentary made by the journo I was of the impression she initiated the comparison. Always good to see as much context as possible.
So true. The lazy media is leading with: “FLOTUS says WH is Like a Nice Prison.” idiots.
Not ‘lazy’ in instances like these, IMO. More deliberative – they have a plan.
Makes sense. It’s just that I’ve gotten so used to using ‘lazy’ as a descriptor, that its become automatic I.e.: idiot Chuck Todd, narcissistic Bill Clinton, disgusting republican, lazy media. But you are right. They are quite deliberate.
You mean you have gotten ‘lazy’ – tut! tut! tut!
hard not to be given the trash we have to deal with. They aren’t even worth my worst effort.
My aborted ‘cake’ would have meshed so well with this. Sniff! Sniff! It’s just not fair.
If at first you don’t succeed …
Eat something else?
My thoughts, exactly.
You Americans can be proud of FLOTUS.What a beautiful lady she is.
We ARE proud of FLOTUS & POTUS. Thank you
Mr. Nygaard, we are proud of FLOTUS and POTUS. We appreciate your kind words.

Isn’t Assange Arrogant? I find him distasteful… And a malcontent.
He is a serious creep.
I knew he faces charges of rape but I didn’t know he’s also a deadbeat dad. Disgusting!
A seriously creepy man, Jovie, and just like Greenwald, he ‘suffers’ from narcissistic personality disorder … which is what this is all about. These guys don’t giving a flying **** about the issue, only in getting attention.
Chips, our descriptive observations are similar.
I knew it Bill, we are one!!
I like your style, Jovie. It’s very posh, very ‘upper crust’ disregard for the smell of trash. Me likey! ‘malcontent’!!!!! Hahahahahahahahahahhahhahahahahahahaha!!!! LOVE!!!
Good Evening Chipsticks, TODer…Everyone!
I have been slowly catching up on all the posts from the past few days. It’s taking a while because I want to go through all the pictures and watch all the videos.
Chipsticks, you and the blog tyrant team have outdone yourselves! Finding and providing links for the live streams, posting the videos for those who missed the live streams, the awesome pictures, the detailed information that helped to explain the President’s purpose for being in Africa, the music videos…. so much to take in. This is the kind of coverage that all U.S. citizens should have access to.
It was so wonderful to see how well our President and the First Family were received by the people in Senegal, South Africa, and Tanzania. They showed much admiration and respect for our President and First Lady. The scenes from the visits to Goree Island and Robben Island were soul stirring. On this trip, there were so many lessons to be learned; so many emotions to be felt.
I know I am simply echoing many TODer’s when I say THANK YOU for all the overtime and effort that was put into keeping us up-to-date on the President’s travels. You are ALL very much appreciated.

Up there with these ones, UT:
Missus is safely on the plane heading to her ancestral land of… Indiana. I have been napping and am now enjoying a Crystal Light raspberry iced green tea.
I really have no words for the clusterfuck that Snowden has become. It would be quite hilarious if he weren’t doing damage to the US and PBO. (Well, we don’t know how much damage he’s doing. But AQ is trying to change its operations, so there’s that.) I should try to write an essay summing up the Snowden Saga, but at this point I just don’t give a fuck anymore. I feel like this is some huge Ashton Kutcher Punk’d episode, and we’re the victims.
Hellooooooooooo LL! Good to you hear your wife is safely on her way, what a tough time she has ahead of her.
I’m with you on the Snowden business, it’s unadulterated madness at this stage.
As much grief as the Tennis world gives the Williams sisters, some of them (particularly female players) should be thanking them for bringing attention to the sport, and especially Venus for fighting for equal play for women players.
I just have to say this: not only do I get informed here, factually, every single day- mucho times per day… but I am frequently brought to tears- mostly in a happy way, and I always smile… and very often laugh out loud I just want to thank every single one of you – for all the wonderful ways you connect to make us a little bit more informed. And as always my undying gratitude to Ms. Chips for providing such an island of peace and brilliance. that’s all.. just feeling exceptionally grateful.
THIS…so many times over:) Aren’t we a great family!!
Yes very much so df
Thank you sooooooo much Sherijr, as I always say, the place wouldn’t even exist without people just like you.
oh far better and more helpful than moi could ever hope to be.. but you are a ‘dote’ for saying so (heh, picked up that word dote from you all here) My new favorite word I come here and just take take take~ can’t help myself
Sherijr, pleeeeeeeeeeease be careful with the word ‘dote’ – you know what happened with Dotster, she thought I was calling her a ‘dolt’!!!
oops.. will watch myself I make a lot of spelling errors, thus can see that happening toooo ez.
Sherijr, please allow me to strongly second everything you said.
hey nath.. its always nice to see you and have your agreement

Good one, Bob!
TPM is infuriating. Many times they do great work. And then there are articles like the one on the Administration delaying a component of ACA. Of course, if you read the Treasury Department’s blog post on the reasoning here: http://www.treasury.gov/connect/blog/Pages/Continuing-to-Implement-the-ACA-in-a-Careful-Thoughtful-Manner-.aspx then you see that it is in fact a very thoughtfully reasoned out explanation. Jesus. I think I need a vacation from Teh Stupid.
But, they know this, they are in cahoots with big business and look for anything to twist for bad news for Obama.
It has only happened 10 million times since he has become President!
don’t know, LL. we waited for implementation in order to get businesses in the system. On first look, it looks incompetent. We lose revenue. Individuals still have the ‘burden’. Explain the upside to me.
The thing that’s not being implemented is the penalty, as businesses were complaining that the reporting requirements were too complicated. Much like the Admin took the 21 page application and whittled it down to 3 pages, they’re taking the extra time to get this right. This is the biggest expansion of the social safety net since the 60s; there are going to be hiccups. And getting businesses on board is key to successful implementation.
oh! the requirement still exists, just not the penalty. not the way the emoprog radio host made it sound during my commute after work. Thanks.
I’m not sure you’re correct on this. I’m reading that it’s more than just the reporting, that the entire provision to provide health care for larger businesses is suspended for a year.
They’ve had three years to figure it out. I’ll reserve judgment until there are clarifications; but unless it’s clusterf*** reporters getting it wrong, the reporting is that the the employer mandate is not in force until 2015. But individuals are expected to comply, without any of the relief that employers are expected to step up as well?
Hey, from my conversations with my best friend who is an HR V.P. , she thinks all employers should get out of the health care business, where their choices for employee health care have nothing to do with the health care of employees. In the absence of single payer, affordable, available health care for individuals is a better way to go. But that’s not how this has been sold to the public. There was to be a commitment from individuals AND businesses.
We’ll have to wait and see what the situation really is. However as the evening progresses, the administration will have to play catch-up in explaining this.
Dump asshole Chris Hayes and give Joy Ann Reid a show!
