Very moving story he told at the end of his speech about the disabled vet he had talked about previously and recently visited in Phoenix—–his long, hard road, multiple surgeries, his perseverance and determination to walk and talk again. Very emotional, tear-producing.

I think a lot of RWNJ’s minds would be changed if they were “forced” to listen to Michelle’s speech today and the last 10 minutes of POTUS’s speech.

They have their preconceived ideas of what the President and First Lady are (based on MSM lies, Fox news, emails from their loon friends, etc.), but you cannot deny the power contained in those 20 minutes of speech.

Michelle, talking about the bravery of everyone involved to save a wounded soldier with a live ordinance in his leg (sorry if I get the terminology wrong), Barack, talking about the determination of the wounded Army Ranger in Phoenix.

Two examples of people who put words into action to “protect” this country (everyone here is devastated by the way the two GWB wars were waged).

Only the true RWNJ loons (aka racists) would not be moved by either/both speeches.

“I think a lot of RWNJ’s minds would be changed if they were “forced” to listen to Michelle’s speech today and the last 10 minutes of POTUS’s speech.”

I highly doubt it, Arapaho! The RWNJ are so blinded by their hatred of President Obama and the First Lady that they would probably claim that both FLOTUS and POTUS were faking it while reading from the teleprompter. That’s how low they’ve descended. By the way, the same is true of the emoprogs. They too have stopped listening to what the President says or does.

Hi everyone, hello Ms Chips! Congrats to UT on first, and on doing such a great job with TOD while Ms Chips was taking a well-deserved break! We are back in Germany after spending almost 4 weeks in Florida with family…… about an hour away from Orlando! A great speech, wishing the Obamas a peaceful summer break.

But they’ll take the $$$…and food aid….First off, I don’t think that the Yemenis get to say something like that when the reason things aren’t further along is because AQAP based there and seem to have a hold enough to gum up the works….second, Katrina, the Emo Princess, needs to dig deeper and not just spout words to suit her meme. So typical. Took me 2 damn seconds to look this up. I bet my house she gets a bigger paycheck than me. For God Sakes woman…do some WORK! Thanks, hf:)

Thanks GGAIL. I replied to some of her remarks on Twitter today about President Obama’s press conference. This lady needs some time out and off. Have not been on tv lately, so she is missing some attention. Tired of her type talking crap. When I see it, I am not holding back anymore. HZ

These Emos doesn’t pass up a chance to criticize this administration. So who does she believe, the Yemenis or the country where she lives? Of course the Yemenis are going to say that. I don’t understand why she felt the need to tweet something like that. It has no value.

      • 45 hopefruit2
        August 10, 2013 at 7:45 pm

She is extremely arrogant and self-serving. I remembered last year when the cable channels were airing the Whitney Houston funeral – she came out with a completely random tweet complaining and criticizing, asking why were they carrying Houston’s funeral when instead we should be helping our troops who were suffering (as if somehow, carrying Houston’s funeral meant that the troops were being neglected in some way).

I firmly challenged her protest tweet by letting her know that Whitney Houston had done more for “the troops” than Katrina cared to know or could have ever done herself. I forwarded her a Youtube clip showing part of a benefit concert that Houston once held, JUST for the troops back in the early ’90′s.

Katrina shut up quickly after that.

In the world today with the abundance of the Social Media gadgets, one who tweets on Twitter with a follower thinks he/she is important for he/she has a friend or two……..She has her followers they cheer each other and clap for one another 24/7 through the Twitter machine and she thinks her audience is Huge…….It is intoxicating…..addicting and empowering…..so Katrina VH and her Co like Chris Hayes, GG, etc would always be and can afford to be emotionally, perpetually emoprogs.

Dare I say – an effect of our FLOTUS’ effort to healthy eating and growing our own gardens ?

HEADLINE: Community Gardens Replace Space in Traditionally Dangerous Mpls. Neighborhoods

// There are more than 5,000 community gardeners throughout Minneapolis and you’ll find them any given day in one of the 200 community gardens sprinkled throughout the Twin Cities.

Hidden deep inside the city blocks lie secret gardens known only to those who live here. But the neighborhoods haven’t always been desirable places to live. “Two people died right in front of my house in the street from gun wounds. We had a lot of gang activity,” said South Minneapolis gardener Lynne Mayo.

Many of the 36-acres of community garden space throughout Minneapolis are set in the city’s most crime-ridden areas. But the goals are much greater than just cleaning up a neighborhood or beautifying a city. More than 160 of the Twin Cities’ 200 community gardens are used to produce food, working both to reduce obesity rates and to provide options for families to save money on groceries. //

While I understand the need for modesty on my part, I am SHAMELESSLY claiming these changes as largely a credit to FLOTUS and the White House Team that works on her garden and obesity initiatives.

“Approximately one mile out, we began experiencing small arms fire,” Thompson said. “And right as we were passing over it, I could say the valley exploded with fire. I’d never seen anything like it before.”

Forget the idea that religion or the effects of war might preclude the success of a Lebanese brewery. It’s true that many Muslims abstain from alcohol. But plenty of people in the Middle East love to drink, and this is especially true in Lebanon, where the religious plurality includes a thriving Christian population — and besides, people seek alcohol during hard times, said Mazen Hajjar, a former investment banker and airline executive who started 961 Beer. But there has been a problem. For 80 years, Lebanon “has been drinking fizzy, light beers,” he said. “I wanted to brew real beer.”

Movie buffs……this looks like it’s going to be a fun movie……and it’s true!

The movie is based on Robert Edsel’s book of the same name about the efforts of seven of the so-called “Monuments Men” (formally, the Monuments, Fine Arts, and Archives program), an Allied force of about 400 men and women tasked with locating and protecting cultural treasures threatened by the Nazi regime. In short, these Ivy League art professors, museum curators, and art historians, often without formal supervision, braved the trenches of World War II to ensure the survival of Europe’s cultural history. After learning about this, George Clooney had the same thought any sane person would: Sounds like a movie.

I’m with you, Annie. I’ve gone off Matt Damon – although, I still do re-watch the Bourne series occasionally. My excuse is that he made those series before he started making stupid comments about President Obama.

Two questions. Did the girls go to camp this year and also fashionistas, how do you go from belt loops and belt to no belt or belt loops. Two different dresses or is it velcro.

    • August 10, 2013 at 8:32 pm

It’s a belt. She took the belt off – I guess to be less formal. Looks great – both ways!

Yes, the First Daughters went to camp (after the Africa Trip).

      Source (very reliable):
PBO said so during one of his informal public comments when he said that he and FLOTUS are lonely empty-nesters since their daughters are away at camp.

I suspect the whole family will be meeting in Martha’s Vineyard

This article needs to be spread far and wide. Don’t allow these emoprogs to pretend that Snowjob started any debate – the debate had already been started in 2009 by the Obama administration, but the media was too busy helping the GOP plan to how to make him a 1-term prez….

    • August 10, 2013 at 9:22 pm

The article also details how Congress was very much aware of the problems within the NSA,…yet they are crying foul now and saying how they did not know about the concerns..

Remember the private hearing Sen Feinstein arranged for the Senators? Only one of mine went. And my Rep didn’t go either. Their reply letters don’t make any sense. Only Sen. Enzi is going on “listening tour” this August.

The emoprogs and Libertarians are especially rabid on Twitter today for some reason. I suspect PBO’s STFU presser yesterday had something to do with it. They know they are losing the argument and the public’s trust, and it’s killing them….Not even the media’s garbage headlines about “Snowden winning” is making them feel better, because they know that people know the truth.

Now there is this guy (Brandon Doughan) who professes to be a Democratic “activist” in Portlan Oregan, and PBO supporter, but you read his TL and all you see is NSA-this and NSA-that and a heap of other nonsense. Nothing about immigration reform, nothing about jobs bills, nothing about student loan rates, nothing about gun control, nothing about Voting Rights Act, nothing about GOP obstructionism, nothing about gaining a house majority and stronger senate majority in 2014. His sole focus is NSA, and he wants to argue with me that Snowden voted X2 for PBo. When I give him the facts about Snowden, he tries to change the topic by falsely accusing me of working for a SuperPAC and raising a stink about my not using my real name on Twitter. What a dolt!
