Hey, I tied with the Mighty Ut!
Congrats ut and GGail!
thanks cm, that’s kind of you :-)
Your very welcome.
Tomorrow I listen, I promise ….
POTUS is an extremely handsome man – mmmm!
Howdy Chips, just for your birthday. . .
Watch for it. 😳 http://t.co/yL31OZh1Gz— CarolMae (@CarolMaeWY) August 10, 2013
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet, thank you Carol! :-)
So no harm done by getting the date wrong. If I could remember where I saw it I could blame somebody, but I can’t. I doubt I’ll forget again. ;)
No harm at all Carol, it’s turned in to a happy birthmonth!
Thanks Carol – I will be looking out but they say the best time to view is right before dawn, and in an open area away from the City or bright lights.
Thanks for the info. I wouldn’t have known about the army hours. I’m a long way from a city. ;)
Early. . .
CORRECTION: President did not fly on an Osprey as previously said. WWR apologizes for the error.— West Wing Reports (@WestWingReport) August 10, 2013
Shame they don’t apologize for all the other things they get wrong about PBO.
Very moving story he told at the end of his speech about the disabled vet he had talked about previously and recently visited in Phoenix—–his long, hard road, multiple surgeries, his perseverance and determination to walk and talk again. Very emotional, tear-producing.
Chris Hayes would tell you that Veteran Cory is no hero – but Edward Snowden is….
Hayes is real life ignorant.
Yes, he’s a stupid boy.
I think a lot of RWNJ’s minds would be changed if they were “forced” to listen to Michelle’s speech today and the last 10 minutes of POTUS’s speech.
They have their preconceived ideas of what the President and First Lady are (based on MSM lies, Fox news, emails from their loon friends, etc.), but you cannot deny the power contained in those 20 minutes of speech.
Michelle, talking about the bravery of everyone involved to save a wounded soldier with a live ordinance in his leg (sorry if I get the terminology wrong), Barack, talking about the determination of the wounded Army Ranger in Phoenix.
Two examples of people who put words into action to “protect” this country (everyone here is devastated by the way the two GWB wars were waged).
Only the true RWNJ loons (aka racists) would not be moved by either/both speeches.
“I think a lot of RWNJ’s minds would be changed if they were “forced” to listen to Michelle’s speech today and the last 10 minutes of POTUS’s speech.”
I highly doubt it, Arapaho! The RWNJ are so blinded by their hatred of President Obama and the First Lady that they would probably claim that both FLOTUS and POTUS were faking it while reading from the teleprompter. That’s how low they’ve descended. By the way, the same is true of the emoprogs. They too have stopped listening to what the President says or does.
Nath, thank you for your comment. I so agree with you in every one of your thoughts. “That’s how low they’ve descended.” So very true. HZ
Hi everyone, hello Ms Chips! Congrats to UT on first, and on doing such a great job with TOD while Ms Chips was taking a well-deserved break! We are back in Germany after spending almost 4 weeks in Florida with family…… about an hour away from Orlando! A great speech, wishing the Obamas a peaceful summer break.
Hey Andogriff, did you and the family have a good time, and take back lots of positive memories with you?
Hey TOD – Miss Chips hope you had a splendid birthday celebration. :D
Three days to go Alice, but thank you!!!!
How did I miss this important DOB?? Please allow me to “forward” my Happy Birthday wishes to you to today!
PS, you are sure you do not share the same DOB as President Obama – I think a demand for your long-form birth certificate is in order

While GG, the emoprogs, GOP, MSM make love to Putin, here’s how he’s being treated as he deserves to be by the Dutch in Amsterdam. :)

@KatrinaNation Lady find some work to do, if you're too damn idle. Go volunteer in a soup kitchen instead of tweeting emoprog crap 24/7.— (@aspirational12) August 10, 2013
You tell her hf!
But they’ll take the $$$…and food aid….First off, I don’t think that the Yemenis get to say something like that when the reason things aren’t further along is because AQAP based there and seem to have a hold enough to gum up the works….second, Katrina, the Emo Princess, needs to dig deeper and not just spout words to suit her meme. So typical. Took me 2 damn seconds to look this up. I bet my house she gets a bigger paycheck than me. For God Sakes woman…do some WORK! Thanks, hf:)
Thanks df for providing the facts. As you said, these people are getting paid to do WHAT? Stuff that you and I will can easily research in 5-10 seconds, they refuse to do, but just shoot from the hip and collect their massive paychecks from their corporate sponsors.
Thanks GGAIL. I replied to some of her remarks on Twitter today about President Obama’s press conference. This lady needs some time out and off. Have not been on tv lately, so she is missing some attention. Tired of her type talking crap. When I see it, I am not holding back anymore. HZ
These Emos doesn’t pass up a chance to criticize this administration. So who does she believe, the Yemenis or the country where she lives? Of course the Yemenis are going to say that. I don’t understand why she felt the need to tweet something like that. It has no value.
She is extremely arrogant and self-serving. I remembered last year when the cable channels were airing the Whitney Houston funeral – she came out with a completely random tweet complaining and criticizing, asking why were they carrying Houston’s funeral when instead we should be helping our troops who were suffering (as if somehow, carrying Houston’s funeral meant that the troops were being neglected in some way).
I firmly challenged her protest tweet by letting her know that Whitney Houston had done more for “the troops” than Katrina cared to know or could have ever done herself. I forwarded her a Youtube clip showing part of a benefit concert that Houston once held, JUST for the troops back in the early ’90’s.
Katrina shut up quickly after that.
Good for you HF. I cannot stand her.
Good one, HF2. Knowledge is power!
In the world today with the abundance of the Social Media gadgets, one who tweets on Twitter with a follower thinks he/she is important for he/she has a friend or two……..She has her followers they cheer each other and clap for one another 24/7 through the Twitter machine and she thinks her audience is Huge…….It is intoxicating…..addicting and empowering…..so Katrina VH and her Co like Chris Hayes, GG, etc would always be and can afford to be emotionally, perpetually emoprogs.
Katrina van whatever is one of those I can’t stand, every word out of her mouth is criticizing POTUS.
Well done, hopefruit! Another privileged emoprogs who thinks he knows better than the President of the United States. I used to subscribe to the Nation Magazine but I stopped that three years ago.
Hey, I meant to say She not he!

Dare I say – an effect of our FLOTUS’ effort to healthy eating and growing our own gardens ?
HEADLINE: Community Gardens Replace Space in Traditionally Dangerous Mpls. Neighborhoods
// There are more than 5,000 community gardeners throughout Minneapolis and you’ll find them any given day in one of the 200 community gardens sprinkled throughout the Twin Cities.
Hidden deep inside the city blocks lie secret gardens known only to those who live here. But the neighborhoods haven’t always been desirable places to live. “Two people died right in front of my house in the street from gun wounds. We had a lot of gang activity,” said South Minneapolis gardener Lynne Mayo.
Many of the 36-acres of community garden space throughout Minneapolis are set in the city’s most crime-ridden areas. But the goals are much greater than just cleaning up a neighborhood or beautifying a city. More than 160 of the Twin Cities’ 200 community gardens are used to produce food, working both to reduce obesity rates and to provide options for families to save money on groceries. //
Okay, we were thinking along the same trend!
While I understand the need for modesty on my part, I am SHAMELESSLY claiming these changes as largely a credit to FLOTUS and the White House Team that works on her garden and obesity initiatives.
I agree! :)
GCL, I am with you 100%!
I trust that PBO’s words were not lost in translation – re: Pres Putin “Slouch”
Thanks 2 Pres. @BarackObama, I will never be able 2 look @ Putin again without thinking of a "bored kid in the back of a classroom" #Imagery— Linda Kyambadde (@globalcitizenln) August 10, 2013
It’s a pretty good picture for Putey. Not exactly the super-macho ex-KGB agent image, is it!
I’m pretty much ignoring all the GOP-generated “Hillary 2016″ buzz, but here’s a pic of Diane Lane as HRC, and a welcome reminder of what a disaster HRC 2008 was (the word MEOW comes to mind)…

Plus she voted for Iraq war knowing more facts than I did. And I knew it was the wrong thing.
Only thing that unites a country – war. This one built on lies.
Drove me crazy. . .
Here’s a response from one of @joshTPM’s followers. He’s probably right. Reince’s whining has been a smokescreen that the MSM is happy to promote (especially the odious upChuck).

Forget the idea that religion or the effects of war might preclude the success of a Lebanese brewery. It’s true that many Muslims abstain from alcohol. But plenty of people in the Middle East love to drink, and this is especially true in Lebanon, where the religious plurality includes a thriving Christian population — and besides, people seek alcohol during hard times, said Mazen Hajjar, a former investment banker and airline executive who started 961 Beer. But there has been a problem. For 80 years, Lebanon “has been drinking fizzy, light beers,” he said. “I wanted to brew real beer.”

Movie buffs……this looks like it’s going to be a fun movie……and it’s true!
The movie is based on Robert Edsel’s book of the same name about the efforts of seven of the so-called “Monuments Men” (formally, the Monuments, Fine Arts, and Archives program), an Allied force of about 400 men and women tasked with locating and protecting cultural treasures threatened by the Nazi regime. In short, these Ivy League art professors, museum curators, and art historians, often without formal supervision, braved the trenches of World War II to ensure the survival of Europe’s cultural history. After learning about this, George Clooney had the same thought any sane person would: Sounds like a movie.
Geoge Clooney's next movie is based on a story you won't believe–WATCH: slate.me/18e3pOG— (@Slate) August 08, 2013
Looks like a movie I’d go see. Did Slate REALLY spell “George” wrong? mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I like George Clooney, but Matt Damon I can’t stand. I will not watch anything that he is in. It maybe foolish, but hay that’s how I feel.
I’m with you, Annie. I’ve gone off Matt Damon – although, I still do re-watch the Bourne series occasionally. My excuse is that he made those series before he started making stupid comments about President Obama.
Two questions. Did the girls go to camp this year and also fashionistas, how do you go from belt loops and belt to no belt or belt loops. Two different dresses or is it velcro.
It’s a belt. She took the belt off – I guess to be less formal. Looks great – both ways!
Yes, the First Daughters went to camp (after the Africa Trip).
Source (very reliable):
PBO said so during one of his informal public comments when he said that he and FLOTUS are lonely empty-nesters since their daughters are away at camp.
I suspect the whole family will be meeting in Martha’s Vineyard

Don't let ANYONE lie to you and tell you that Snowden started NSA debate. The Obama admin began debate early in 2009: nytimes.com/2009/04/16/us/…— (@aspirational12) August 11, 2013
This article needs to be spread far and wide. Don’t allow these emoprogs to pretend that Snowjob started any debate – the debate had already been started in 2009 by the Obama administration, but the media was too busy helping the GOP plan to how to make him a 1-term prez….
The article also details how Congress was very much aware of the problems within the NSA,…yet they are crying foul now and saying how they did not know about the concerns..
Remember the private hearing Sen Feinstein arranged for the Senators? Only one of mine went. And my Rep didn’t go either. Their reply letters don’t make any sense. Only Sen. Enzi is going on “listening tour” this August.
Well said Pretty Foot! This is especially true of grandstanders like Sen. Ron Wyden and Rep. Jon Conyers.
Wishing there was a ctrl/alt/delete button to get rid of these whiningunpatrioticracistmysoginisticpiecesofcrap. Please feel free to add any words you deem appropriate in order to describe the Gross Old People party
I saw on NBC news were they were asking that very question, did Snowden win? Some stupid mess like that, I turn the channel because their were two people talking who I don’t care for, Kristian Walker and David Gregory. Walker is in Martha Vineyard of course.

This is my first time seeing the picture of FLOTUS and Bo, joining to help National Geo for a Guinness World record of largest animal photo album, I love the pictures. Bo looking like the superstar he is, sitting there looking all cool. That dog is so precious.
Was my first time seeing them too. Absolutely gorgeous pics of our FLOTUS and First Dog. :) :)
I saw on twitter the young girl from CA was rescued alive and her kidnapper killed in Idaho. I don’t know what happened to her brother. There was an Amber alert
read that the kidnapper killed her mother and brother before he left CA and kidnapped her as & disappeared in the ID national park/wilderness (where he died during confrontation with FBI).
Her father is alive in CA , was informed her rescue. she is in hospital and a re-union with her dad is planned
That is so sad. :,(
What a relief – that story was really disturbing.
Yes, it was worse than I knew.
The emoprogs and Libertarians are especially rabid on Twitter today for some reason. I suspect PBO’s STFU presser yesterday had something to do with it. They know they are losing the argument and the public’s trust, and it’s killing them….Not even the media’s garbage headlines about “Snowden winning” is making them feel better, because they know that people know the truth.
Now there is this guy (Brandon Doughan) who professes to be a Democratic “activist” in Portlan Oregan, and PBO supporter, but you read his TL and all you see is NSA-this and NSA-that and a heap of other nonsense. Nothing about immigration reform, nothing about jobs bills, nothing about student loan rates, nothing about gun control, nothing about Voting Rights Act, nothing about GOP obstructionism, nothing about gaining a house majority and stronger senate majority in 2014. His sole focus is NSA, and he wants to argue with me that Snowden voted X2 for PBo. When I give him the facts about Snowden, he tries to change the topic by falsely accusing me of working for a SuperPAC and raising a stink about my not using my real name on Twitter. What a dolt!
