    OMG!!! I was freaked out yesterday by all the noise in congress, press. Before sleeping I spent a lot of time turning my mind to the President’s strengths, remembering how he has come through time and time and time and TIME again. Did the same this morning and afternoon and came to a place of peace and signed on and the first thing I see is this!!!

    President Obama Drops the Mic: Crumbling Under US Pressure, Russia Tells Syria to Disarm

    http://www.thepeoplesview.net/2013/09/time-to-drop-mic-crumbling-under-obamas.html

    So last night, I wrote a piece reporting on the Haaretz piece that facing mounting pressure from President Obama and his firm resolve to use military force to cripple Syria’s ability to deliver chemical weapons given Russia’s intransigence in the UN, Russia may have started to buckle. That the world understood that Barack Obama doesn’t dick around, and responding to this – and John Kerry’s final ultimatum that Syria turn over its weapons to an international inspection regime by the end of the week – Russia is now reeling Assad in. Haaretz reported both an under-discussion proposed democratic transition in Syria as well as disarmament. This morning, several news organizations … ahem, “broke” the story that at least the second part is true:
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Booman had this
    Things Just Got Interesting
    http://www.boomantribune.com/story/2013/9/9/131751/4180
    Things got very interesting today, shortly after John Kerry suggested in London that that Assad regime could avoid an attack if they surrendered all their chemical weapons within a week. Acting on Russia’s strong advisement, the Syrian regime quickly agreed to submit their stockpiles to international control. If this can be accomplished, it would justify the aggressive approach the Obama administration has been pursuing, although it might throw a monkey-wrench in the administration’s overall plans for regime change. According the the Associated Press, we may be witnessing a plan that was set in motion during the G-20 conference in St. Petersburg last week:
    The surprise series of statements from top U.S., Russian and Syrian diplomats followed media reports alleging that Russian President Vladimir Putin, who discussed Syria with President Barack Obama during the Group of 20 summit in St. Petersburg last week, had sought to negotiate a deal that would have Assad hand over control of chemical weapons.
    Putin himself said Friday at a news conference marking the summit’s end that he and Obama discussed some new ideas regarding a peaceful settlement of the crisis and instructed Kerry and Lavrov to work out details.
    This could obviate the need to have a vote in Congress and basically solve all Obama’s short-term problems. The American people would be relieved that we didn’t have to resort to airstrikes; the Republicans would look stupid for not backing the president up; the threat of chemical weapons use and proliferation would be eliminated in Syria, and the international norm against the use of chemical weapons would be effectively reinforced…..
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I haven’t looked any further. I’ve got to take care of something. I might be back shortly or it might take awhile but I thought this was wonderful news.

    George Zimmerman was threatening his Wife and Father in-law with a Gun and punched the man too?

    But, Zimmerman was roughed up brutally MMM style by a 17 yrs old skinny teen on Feb 26th 2012?

    Karma always delivers when least expected. That is all I can say.

      George Zimmerman should be in prison for killing Trayvon Martin. My question is will Zimmerman kill someone else or himself?

        If he must kill, then he should point the loaded gun to himself.

        But he is a coward. Cowards want attention and are to selfish to do themselves in…..ONLY. They will always look for company for their hideous acts.

      Japa, I just read that Harry Reid was going to take up the Syria vote on Wednesday. I have the feeling that Reid would not be rushing the Senate vote if he didn’t think that he had a least a bare majority in that body. Reid has to know about the Russian/Syrian alleged deal, so it would be easy for him to slide the vote until such a deal is worked out. Yet, he’s going forward. A ‘go’ vote by the Senate would reinforce the president’s hand in deal with Assad/Putin. The deal goes through and it renders the House vote moot. Don’t know what Reid has in his hands, but he’s not stupid and will work with the WH on this.

    Late in getting to my remote so I got to hear Ed say that everyone in Congress should vote no on Syria. Another brilliant Ed tip—–in line with all that helpful, smart advice of telling people not to vote in 2010. Ed is either the dumbest person on the planet or is working for the opposition.

    Tony Blinken, Obama’s deputy national security advisor, said “It’s very important to note that it’s clear that this proposal comes in the context of the threat of U.S. action and the pressure that the president is exerting.” “So it’s even more important that we don’t take the pressure off and that Congress give the president the authority he’s requested.”

    OT tidbit—-watching U.S. Open mens final for a bit while I wait for PBO, mentioned that to my daughter who called. And she mentioned the Serena match yesterday and said that her opponent, Azarenka, is the girlfriend of Barry Gordy’s son Redfoo of LMFAO. Thought that was an interesting and unexpected matchup. We decided that Azarenka might not be as boring as she appeared. :)

    Oh and my dog is peeing a lot, drinking water, ate some chicken, had a can one half of diet dog food, but she’s very tired and weak.
    Is that common with Bladder infection, or UTI or kidney infection. It’s one of those three same treatment options though…

    • 69 Layla
      September 9, 2013 at 6:35 pm

      Yes jovie. it is very common and in humans also. The fact that she is eating is a very good sign! She needs to drink a lot too. It takes a while to recover from that fever she had!

    • September 9, 2013 at 6:48 pm

      I can’t answer your question, but can give a tip. When a cat or dog is not eating/drinking you can offer them the pureed meat baby food. It has a lot of moisture in it and the smell is usually strong enough to get past a stopped up nose or upset stomach. Works very well for cats. Ham, beef have strong smell.

      Blessings for your dear dog friend.

    • September 9, 2013 at 7:21 pm

      Drinking plenty of fluids means she’s flushing out bacteria. Rest is a good thing.

        September 9, 2013 at 7:35 pm

        Those signs are good for recovery, Jovie. We are using a new dogfood we buy from the vet, which is blended to help prevent utis. It is by Royal Canin, veterinary Diet, Urinary SO. It is more than some foods, but if it prevents huge vet bills, the difference will be well worth it. Our dog loves it, eats it well, so it must be tasty (to a dog)
        Can really feel for you. When our dogs are sick, we just hurt. We can’t explain it to them, which would help, I think. Your immediate action was the right thing.
        Keep her drinking and peeing, and she’ll get rid of the infection.

      September 9, 2013 at 8:13 pm

      oh good Jovie I’m glad your dog is doing better. as long as she’s drinking and eating that’s a good sign and if you are still having to give her antibiotics that might be wearing her out – she needs to take them but I know we humans get tired easily when we have to take antibiotics too.

      Jovie, dogs recover very quick…and with lots of love, patience, and her meds, she’ll be up and about in no time. Our pup had pancreatitis this past July — she was lethargic and wouldn’t eat. Once we got her to eat and take her meds, she was like new again.

    I gotta say, not for nothing but its got to be ironic that many of the same people who were big on John Kerry back in ’04, are the ones completely over him now and bascically refusing to acknowledge that maybe they were wrong. Conserv who hated Kerry then must be loving all this now.

    • September 9, 2013 at 7:21 pm

      I have never in my life witnessed the kind of spectacle that the MSM is making of themselves.

      They f**king second-guess this President to f**king death.

      I hate them every day, but today more than usual (if that’s possible).

      re: Gwen Ifill’s tweet above re: Putin and G20

      And is it only Obots who had no doubt that this was true? (My tweet on day that President announced he would seek Congressional vote):

    Hillary Clinton credits Obama for potential chemical weapons deal

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-politics/wp/2013/09/09/hillary-clinton-credits-obama-for-potential-chemical-weapons-deal/

    ..She said that Russia’s proposal for Syria to turn over its chemical weapons to international monitors is an “important step” and credited Obama’s move toward military action for bringing about the potential deal.

    “It is very important to note that this discussion that has taken hold today about potential international control over Syria’s stockpiles only could take place in the context of a credible military threat by the United States to keep pressure on the Syrian government, as well as those supporting Syria, like Russia,” Clinton said….

      You were soooo right! Probable question in the polling: “Don’t you just hate the way the President is handling Syria” and “Do we need another war” Ha!

    • September 9, 2013 at 7:32 pm

      HF2,

      TODville is right about predicting MSM fail, but they feed into the narrative that this President is “weak.”

      They propel the low approval rating because they CONSTANTLY atttacked our President. Even when he was on foreign soil (which is of course a no-no for Republican Presidents).

      What in God’s name do they have to gain by undermining this country to such a degree. They are in lockstep with the emoprogs who now think that Putin is the best thing since sliced bread.

      I immediately thought of these tweets of yours earlier today when I heard the 1st such poll on NPR

  45. September 9, 2013 at 7:27 pm

    There apparently is a lot going on right now, but can someone tell what the HELL was upChuck referring to in this tweet? I get the sense that the MSM believe that Kerry has “gaffed” (I know about the ‘incredibly small’ gaffe, but is there more?)

    And my guess is that sexism and White Privilege is driving this stupid question.

    Jesus H Christ.
