Thank you and you should concede..lol
So I tried to give my yellow lab Tilly a bath last night and had zero luck. Will try again today but I am stumped how I’ll be able to get her to cooperate with me.
My Nickelby is only 23 pounds, but I swear he weighs 100 pounds when he doesn’t want a bath. I cannot deal with him. He is deceptively strong.
LOL! Put a piece of meat in a container near edge of the tub. Tilly will jump right in!

Politics in IL is like no other place. There hasn’t been one word yet about how the exchanges are going to work here. And apparently no one in our hapless media has thought it important enough to ask.

BREAKING Russia opposed to UN resolution on Syria: French foreign minister— Agence France-Presse (@AFP) September 10, 2013
So how do the Russians expect to get international inspectors in Syria without a UNSC resolution?
LL, very belated thanks for your post yesterday – you’re a gem, mister.
I noticed you were AWOL yesterday. I assumed you were at the library stocking up on puppy books.
Ha, that trip will come soon enough! It was only when I spoke to the owner yesterday that I realized this is all waaaaaay more complicated than I remember. And if I follow his feeding recommendations, this puppy will eat waaaaaay better than I do. I won’t bake him any cakes though, promise.
‘I won’t bake him any cakes though, promise.’
That is a HUGE promise! /head bowed, eyes half-closed/ Thank you, Lord, for showering your advance mercy on little Peebo, Kittee, Bo-three, Lionel, or whatever his name turns out to be. Amen.
You know, the puppy would probably love that fish-cake that still haunts me to this day…
You mean my magnificent fish-cake, Theo????

Syrian foreign minister tells @NBCNews that the country will accept a proposal to turn over its chemical weapons: on.msnbc.com/13G73AL— Jamil Smith (@JamilSmith) September 10, 2013
This kind of stuff is why Steve Benen smartly advised to keep the champagne on ice. I along with the world am hoping for the best, but details seem to be shifting by the minute. I will be anxious to hear what PBO has to say tonight. As others have noted, his speechwriters must be going crazy.
I wonder if the idiotic media realizes that PBO could have acted on his own without congressional approval. Of course not because the media has their head up their ass.
Noticed the books, but didn’t notice the portrait above it — lol! I’m stumped, too. The neckwear fits the time period of Benjamin Bannecker; however, the portrait doesn’t look like the youthful renderings I’ve seen of him. Wish I had access to NSA face recognition software…
Hey, NSA, if you’re reading, please help us out!!!!! ;-)
WTF!!!!!!! Why is the despicable corporate media giving Teatard Rand Paul being given a platform to spew nonsense after Pres Obama’s address? This is not a state of the Union address. Sheesh such disrepect!! When will it STOP!!!!!!!!
who watches CNN anymore anyway. Well probably libertarians who are as popular as cockroaches.
Is it only on CNN? Or is it all outlets?
From what I can make out, Paul is streaming it live on YouTube and the feed is available to any network that wants it. They’re more than friggin’ welcome to show it later, but if they stream it immediately after PBO’s address, that would beat all.
I never watch those rebuttals anyway. I know where they are coming from and what vitriol they will spew. Even if PBO in his speech would pay tribute to the mothers of all GOP, the rebuttal would be derogatory, disrespectful, and simply insulting. Why bother? I hope PBO preempts Rand Paul by stating how war should be the last resort, and why it was in our national security interest to show Assad that actions have consequences.
But I don’t think a rebuttal to an address by a President on a national security issue has ever been aired (live, any way), only to the State of the Nation address?? Anyone? They’ll no doubt show Paul’s remarks later, but if any network shows them right after PBO speaks, giving Paul a status he most certainly does not deserve and an unprecedented level of disrespect to a President, that really would be lowest point ever for the MSM.
I’m seeing red over this. Really poor behavior by the media – and I thought they couldn’t go any lower in my estimation. Arrgghh!
It will only stop if PBO can turn himself White. To those that claim Bill Clinton suffered comparable disrespect, what do you say about this? They are siding with Vladamir Fuckin Putin against the U.S. President and now they are openly challenging his role as Commander in Chief. From Rep. Joe Wilson’s “You Lie” screamed during the State of the Union address, to allowing Romney to lie and lie and lie some more during the 2012 election, to the constant threat of impeachment (without ever mentioning grounds), this country has never seen a sitting President suffer such disrespect. The fact that PBO has been and remains an extremely competent President (to say the least) makes this treatment he gets from left, right and center all the more infuriating. Somehow ending the war in Iraq and getting Bin Laden failed to win PBO any “political capital” with regards to foreign affairs and national security. I wonder why?

OK, before I disappear into the ether…… here is some context of what is going on RE Russia and UNSC
If you thought that Russia would immediately cede to a French, UK, and U.S. drafted resolution with everything the West wants, leave now.— Hayes Brown (@HayesBrown) September 10, 2013
The first volley is out there, Russia will come back with a counter-proposal, and we'll go from there. NOBODY FREAK OUT.— Hayes Brown (@HayesBrown) September 10, 2013
My guess: most of the Russian opposition is around the use of Chap 7 to make it binding, under idea that opens the door to use of force.— Hayes Brown (@HayesBrown) September 10, 2013
So the smart thing to do is the tailor the resolution to bar that approval, under threat that US will continue to move without UNSCR.— Hayes Brown (@HayesBrown) September 10, 2013
Other issues including placing blame for Aug. 21 can also be negotiated down. But no Chap. VII citation should be deal-breaker for P3.— Hayes Brown (@HayesBrown) September 10, 2013
Probably in there as a giveaway item in the first place… RT @curtiskj: Also the ICC referral is probably a non-starter for Russia.— Hayes Brown (@HayesBrown) September 10, 2013
And let's be clear: the admin is right to be pursuing the UNSC option while still readying for strikes, in my view. Russia is still Russia.— Hayes Brown (@HayesBrown) September 10, 2013
Game on, you guys. RT @NabilAbiSaab: #Russia called for an urgent meeting in the Security Council on #Syria, today 3 pm est – Diplomat— Hayes Brown (@HayesBrown) September 10, 2013
OK hope that helps…….. see you on the other side :)
My theory: if by Friday, the amendments that the P3 agree to with Russia aren't enough, they'll force a Russian veto.— Hayes Brown (@HayesBrown) September 10, 2013
Fun fact: Russia's veto can't stop the P3 resolution from being brought up for debate, or for a vote. Just needs nine votes.— Hayes Brown (@HayesBrown) September 10, 2013

Why It’s Big editors.talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/2013/… The move to remove CW from Syria, through the U.N. is a win on all fronts for @Barackobama via @joshtpm— The Lovely Plains (@DaRiverZkind) September 10, 2013
It allows the entire framework of the discussion to be changed in favor of the international position, it allows a fresh discussion in the UNSC (where, as you point out, Russia or China will have to slow it down or derail it), and it really changes nothing because the al-Assad regime won’t accept it. They’re in a death struggle for survival – their global approval ratings are the least of their challenges, and with Saudi, Turkey and Israel making various threatening noises, Assad and his brother need a big stick to try to deter more aggressive action.
So now a strike, if one actually comes to pass, can be framed not only to punish the regime and deter future CW releases, but also to reinforce international demands that he disarm…
THANK YOU, LP!!!!
Sure thing, Eric. Anytime….
Before you disappear into the ether, thank you for bringing this guy to my attention, LP. Now, don’t go getting lost in ether-land. See you later!

In fact, he may win GOP primary tonight!
I am not kidding, media picking GOP winners right here.
Doubt it. Will more likely be end of Rand Paul’s White House dreams. Ask Jindal and Rubio, following a PBO speech is not good for one’s Presidential aspirations.
I will never forget the night Jindal came out from behind the columns looking and sounding like Mr. Rogers…”I want to live in the neighborhood with you… As for Rubio he was so nervous. Don’t forget the Vice-President GOP man that sipped water constantly. Those were the good old days.

Lawrence O’Donnell RIPS Anthony Weiner in CRAZY Interview: “What’s Wrong With You?”
I saw that this morning and I was Not impressed with LOD. Weiner was already the laughing fool…..LOD went down an ugly road. There was no need for that.
Beating a “Dead” Anthony Weiner is not classy. LOD could have used that time for something much more important.
I watched it live and was appalled at LOD’s interview. His first question was very disrespectful to Weiner, however foolish Weiner has acted. LOD was really out of place. This is not an interview to cheer or laugh at.
Yesterday Kirsten Welker subbed for Mrs Greenspan and asked Weiner to comment on Bloomberg’s racist comment and showed the De Blasio ad with his son.
Weiner could not believe it and called her out.
Have any of the Professional Left given Snowden credit for this yet ?

their argument doesn’t make sense because Putin is bailing on the deal anyway or at least what I’ve been gathering. The idiotic media still is trying to make an argument that PBO can’t act on his own when it comes to a military strike against Syria. Sorry but he can because Syria has access to chemical weapons and through Assad’s own admission that he has no control over these weapons PBO can act without congress due to national security concerns.
I don’t know about you or anyone else on here but I am very scared of chemical weapons and the possibility that Assad may not have authorized the strike scares me more in some ways than if he did authorize it.
Best to ignore the MSM. They will spin to turn any development into “bad news for PBO”. From my understanding, U.S., France and GB are drafting UN resolution. Russia balks at inclusion of threat of military action in the UN resolution, which makes sense. Russia will likely sign onto the resolution once that language is removed (PBO can still use military force without UN approval). As I said, it would be best to ignore the MSM (left, right and center) they are being very blatant in their desire to use the Syrian situation to harm or embarrass PBO politically, and will not let facts or logic get in the way of their desired narrative. “Good news for Putin” is the new “Good news for John McCain”. These devils are PATHETIC.
I think Russia should be thrown out of the UN. Their anti-gay propaganda and hate filled laws are reason alone.
A little sanity break: photos of the new Top Dog in the White House
Doesn’t Sunny’s handler look a bit like one of the main WH butlers?
I hope Sunny has an ideological flair to recognize right wing nuts at a distance. She looks like a smart dog.
Love those pictures of Sunny. Picture #3…looks just like our Chanel, who loves a tummy rub more than food, or anything else except a walk. Our Chanel is a black poodle with a white blaze on her tummy, and looks so much like Sunny, I can hardly believe it. Of course her nose is shaped differently, and there are other differences, but I would say their personalities are very similar.
I know Sunny will bring them great joy. She will also help keep Bo young. That is the best part of having two dogs a few years apart in age. I think Sunny is a flirt:-)
Andrea Mitchell just mentioned that the CW resolution had been discussed by PBO and Putin possibly as far back as the Los Cabos G20. Wonder if it’s true.
I believe Russia has said as much.
Yes it’s true. President Obama confirmed it yesterday, i.e., that he and Putin had been discussing it over the past year.
