With the accompanying music too…;)
Never gets old!
Don’t you just love it! I find it a great pick-me-upper, as well as a great happy dance. ;)
THAT’S MY TEAM!!!
Change we can believe in. Leaders we can be proud of.
Here are the House votes for H.R.2775. Did your Rep just vote for default? govtrack.us/congress/votes… …— Dudette (@Dudette9t9) October 17, 2013
My housecritter voted “Yea;” like to think our presser in front of his office, letters, phone calls, tweets and fb posts had a lot to do with it.
You should take some credit for that!
Mine voted no. She’s looney. She replied to one of my letters and it was so idiotic. I can’t tolerate her. Cynthia Loomis in case your wondering.
Mine voted, yea. Maybe he was trying to stop my daily phone calls.
… and for the record, here's the Senate vote govtrack.us/congress/votes…— Dudette (@Dudette9t9) October 17, 2013
I see wing nut Steve King voted against the bill.
So did all 4 R Congressman from AZ:) Idiots.
Looking at the number of GOP reps in some of the states that voted twice for PBO – some good Gerrymandering put in place it would seem.
My PBO supporting, conservaDem Senator Casey voted yes. Of course, my RWNJ senatecritter, looney Tooney, voted no.
Alycee, you and I both know that Toomey MUST go. Joe Sestak or Kathleen Kane–I don’t care which at this point–but he…must…go. He is far too radically right for this middle of the road state.
Goodnight everyone, maybe millions will truly sleep well tonight! Hugs all around! Tomorrow. ;)
Night MP! :-)
G’Night! Sleep well!
holy moly you guys move fast! Well good news for sure. I can’t wait for 2014 and see the GOP get routed. oh, and congrats to SENATOR Cory Booker. A good day all around.
Nite TOD! :D
Love the picture of our President. Thanks UT.
Did you guys watched the press briefing of the Senate democratic leadership ( Reid, Schumer, Durbin, Murray ) ? They all looked so serious. Exhausted, relieved, emotional. And disgusted about the whole sordid mess they had to go through.
I watched it. They have to be emotionally spent. I would be.
But but – I heard that the only person who did anything was Sen Collins – the media (R.USA) never changes
I’m reading about “pork for Mitch McConnell” – did he have to GET PAID to do the right thing by his country – or am I not understanding – again?
Sadly he will win again since his dem opponent wants to run away from ObamaCare. This is a state that set the ACA ball rolling from day one.
Leaders theobamadiary.com/2013/10/16/lea…. Contrast this with @SpeakerBoehner @McConnellPress @SenTedCruz @marcorubio @SenRandPaul— (@amk4obama) October 17, 2013
Like a troubled teenager, America is repeatedly self-harming. “It is simply not a characteristic of the most highly rated sovereigns that you have to worry about them not paying their debts,” Chambers said, noting that no nation has ever defaulted for such a ridiculous reason – political games of mutually assured destruction. “It is unheard of in a cohesive civil society, making it all the more puzzling and lamentable that we have these shenanigans over spending that has already been approved by Congress.”
Like people who cut themselves…self mutilators. I think I’ll send this to my ” default is no big deal” congressman. Fucker.
Booker now 55%-44%. Still uncounted counties are all where he is leading by 50 points.
And the media will never give the final % – only the election night figures – same as they did with the election of PBO
Just keep your eye on this page
Thanks Dudette – I would just love to see the media – tell ALL of the USA the final result. They hide the GOP failures – so annoys me.
I’m with ya!

In Indy spending the day meeting, holding and loving my new little grandbaby—-the sweetest, cutest, most precious little gal, 10 days old today. Then the relief and satisfying end of this ridiculous and completely unnecessary tea party caused debacle. A very good day.
#LastWord In 2014 let's "take our country back" to when a "tea party" was what little girls threw for their stuffed animals. #p2— (@jawillie) October 17, 2013

So Boehner could get only 1/3 of his caucus to not blow up the world's economy. In the words of Skip Bayless, all he does is WIN!— Liberal Librarian (@Lib_Librarian) October 17, 2013
time for some music. New post: http://theobamadiary.com/2013/10/16/night-owl-music-chat-america/
MSNBC got to get rid of Chris Hayes – still shilling for the GOP after everything that has happened in the last month. He needs to go away and grow up
He is so bad. No TV presence or charisma at all. And then there’s his douchey dweeb factor..
Remember, all the house votes for a US default and crashing the world economy came from @gop. #VoteSmart in 2014 & 2016 and #VoteOutTheGOP.— (@amk4obama) October 17, 2013
Thanks UT for honoring three of the most ethical, no drama, leaders who are indeed focused on moving this country forward!
After all this, why the heck did Boehner appoint 3 of 4 Reps to budget conference who voted FOR default? Only Cole voted in the majority to end this mess.
Paul Ryan, Tom Price and Diane Black voted for default and will not bargain in good faith.
.@SpeakerBoehner 16 day nightmare over, but why appoint budget conferees who voted FOR default: @RepPaulRyan @RepTomPrice @RepDianeBlack ?— Judith Fardig (@FardigJudith) October 17, 2013
POTUS, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are heroes! They make me so proud to be a Democrat! I’m extremely grateful to each of them.
