Say hello to our new blog tyrant
Good Morning Roberta! Have a great day!
Morning swbluega, I hope to have a good day. That picture up pages started out to a smiling & happy day. I am watching the yesterdays Press corp. I love Jay Carney. He is so cool. These people are just sick assholes.
Training Danny a little early in his life span huh? Too cute by far. Good Morning Danny & Chips.
Moooooorning Roberta!! Danny will be doing this morning’s R&S, he’s already trained in!!
Morning, Chief Blog Tyrant and Blog Tyrant, Jr.!
Ya got yourself a real savant there, Chips. Of course you know what they say about savants – brilliant in one field and dismal in the ‘everyday’ tasks.
Good Morning Chipsticks and Danny….TOD Early Birds!
Chipsticks, between you, Jovie, and AMK this site his going to the dogs.
It’s The Dog Diary, swbluega!!! Moorrrning!
LOL! Good Morning Chips and Danny-the-Blog-Dog!
I think he is particularly focused on the central figure in the picture on that post. Definitely an intelligent boy.
You and Danny have a lot in common then, Japa!
Awwww—-look at that sweet new intern——learning the ropes, getting ready for his first post. Arf!
“GOP Complaints over Jeh Johnson Crumble Under Scrutiny”
By Steve Benen 10/21/13 05:00 PM
It’s been a few days since President Obama introduced former Pentagon General Counsel Jeh Johnson as the White House’s choice to lead to the Department of Homeland Security, and the Republican line of criticism is coming into focus: Johnson has donated to Democrats.
It seems like a pretty weak pitch, but Sens. John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Jeff Session (R-Ala.), who’ve apparently taken the lead in opposing Johnson’s nomination, have both gone after the DHS nominee for having financially supported Democratic candidates, including the president, in recent years.
The good news is, the criticism is not made up – Johnson, as Fox News first reported on Friday, has “contributed more than $100,000 to Democratic candidates and groups” over the past decade.
…but there is the question of a rather brazen double standard….Tom Ridge, the first Secretary of Homeland Security, “raised at least $251,550” as a fundraising bundler for Bush’s 2000 campaign, according to a 2003 New York Times investigation …Michael Chertoff, the second DHS secretary nominated by Bush, [who also got confirmation votes from Cornyn and Sessions] gave thousands of dollars in direct donations to Republicans, including Bush, in the years before his nomination.
Good morning Ms. Chips, Danny, and TOD Family. Ms. Chips, tell Danny stop sending me his crazy tweets.
I will pass on your message RanMan, although I think he’s now suspended by Twitter!
“Koch Brothers Eye States, not Congress, for Health Care Goals”
By Steve Benen 10/21/13 12:40 PM
About two weeks ago, with the government shutdown still going strong, the Koch brothers’ company sent a letter to Congress, making clear that Koch Industries is not on board with the idea of tying the Affordable Care Act to the government shutdown. It was, at the time, evidence of a Republican operation losing friends in a hurry.
It was not, however, proof of Charles and David Koch losing their appetite for undermining “Obamacare.” On the contrary, there’s ample evidence that the Kochs are financing the very organizations waging a crusade against the health care law and demanding Republican policymakers keep up the fight.
What’s more, let’s also not forget that Koch brothers’ attention is not limited to Congress.
Americans for Prosperity’s president boasted about his group’s “trench warfare” against the health care law, which in this case means pushing Virginia to reject Medicaid expansion, which in turn would keep 400,000 Virginians from having access to basic care….In other words, the Kochs can tell Congress about their indifference to the Republican “defund” strategy, perhaps because they considered it a poor plan, but also because the conservative billionaires can focus their energies on state capitols, where it’s easier to stop struggling families from having health care coverage.
Wow, SW, these K brothers are evil through and through. They simply hate that people who are not rich will have access to health care. In many states like PA that elected TP governors in 2010, they have ready enablers. That’s why we’re working so hard to get our governor out, out, out in 2014 and to at least capture the PA Senate.
OK, I do agree with Jeb Bush on this one singular thing——said watching Morning Joe was like watching baby seals get beaten for 3 hours every day.
Ha! Ain’t that the truth?
He has got a step stool below him, doesn’t he ? Either that or you are really are a dwarf in real life.
I’m wondering if Mommy Chips actually got him his own computer – that keyboard looks like it was chosen with Danny in mind!
@morningmika tell Nicole and Ron name me one person that's died due 2 #obamacare rollout? Bc Katrina and Iraq War comparison beyond the pale— Jovi (@jovie656_jovi) October 22, 2013
Nicole Wallace and Ron Fournier are both frauds…..
But that comparison was amazing!
My puppy has way to much energy, and she wants the control of the whole house. My other a Dog was so well behaved, so it takes some getting used to.
But, It’s a constant power struggle, with this Beast of Burden.
How you making out Chips?
What happened to your black lab?
Jovie’s black lab was very ill and didn’t make it. We’re all heartbroken over it.
omg, I’m so sorry Jovie.
Cheyenne is a puppy. I’m sure your other dog had that kind of energy as a puppy. It will pass.
Exercise is the best ‘medicine’ for extra energy.
It takes time to train a puppy to your household. Jovie good luck. There is a new jacket you can buy for a dog that is supposed to keep them calm. We have a puppy here in our building and he is just so busy and yappy, she finally got one of those jackets. I don’t know if she leaves it on all the time, but I know by Niece bought one for her dog and helped immensely. Patience is the key word. (((hugs))) you will be fine, it takes time.
Do make those jackets to calm down hyperactive office jerks?
Enjoy the pup, dood. It won’t last long.
Hmmm, a watchdog …
@Reuters This is good news. Means no troops in that messed up country.— Jovi (@jovie656_jovi) October 22, 2013
I’ve been keeping my eye on this also, Jovie, and I agree that every day they cannot agree brings us one day closer to a complete pull out in Afghanistan.
Danny is so adorable. I want a puppy lol
I know this is HuffPuff…but I like Sam Stein……
Inside The Meeting Where Obama And Reid Vowed Not To Be ‘Taken In By These Crazy People’
WASHINGTON — Barack Obama and Harry Reid needed to clear the air. The relationship between the president and the Senate majority leader had been deteriorating since 2011, with Reid losing respect for Obama’s ability to negotiate with Republicans and Obama unsure if Reid had as much control over his Senate Democratic caucus as he liked to say.
So at the White House’s invitation, the two met in the Oval Office on July 9, with no staff, to talk one on one. It was a cathartic moment, one in which long-buried tensions were fully aired. Aides to the two men tell a similar story: Their boss had been losing confidence in his counterpart and wanted the meeting as a way to buck up the other.
This article is really good.
Thanks for posting this, Linda – great article and interview with Stein and Grim.
UK PM David Cameron brands Facebook irresponsible for allowing beheading videos to appear on its site, especially without warning.
I am with camie boy. This free speech thing is being carried too far.
I would be a little skeptical of anything coming out of Sam Stein or HP. There has been contentious relationships with every President & the congress. I Think what this President is trying to do make Congress be responsible for their actions and not put all the blame on the President. They have major roles to play, legislatively. Our President has been out their all the time expressing his views on how to go forward in our country to get us back into a leading role in domestic & foreign policy. Reid needs to get rid of some of the filibuster rules. That more than anything I am sure is the problem if there really was any.
He is so cute!

Happy Tuesday!! Chips, you’re raising that youngin’ right! Danny knows how things are done right! Good job newest blog tyrant, Danny O’Chips:)
I have some catching up to do, but looks like all the RWNJ’S need to keep talking because the hole they’re digging is getting deeper and deeper! People are waking up to the giant screwing they’ve been getting all these years….probably feeling a little embarrassed they got suckered all these years….. doesn’t matter as long as the majority of Americans figure this out by the midterms and we can all return to normal and the rest of the loons can be thrown in the dustbin of history. FOREVER.
Going to be a lovely day here today…90/ sunny…..enjoy YOUR day everyone!!
Df, I can’t imagine myself saying 90 is a lovely day, but I do hope you are enjoying YOUR heat, even as I write this.
Well, another Tuesday. What is the over/under on how many inane tweets Chuckie Toad will send today?
Danny Boy is so adorable. Determined to be with you already. Can’t wait until he starts writing. Just started The President’s Devotional. The readings from Joshuah deBois that the President started the day with from one year of readings. Very illustrative of his core values. He is a good man committed to making the world a better place

Chips, you might want to get that doggie filter set up. Wouldn’t want him introduced to the naughty mat too early in his young puppyhooddom.

The jobs numbers are good, but the media will only focus on the 181K figure that economists had predicted, and NOTHING else. But they won’t say a peep about the GOP’s constant manufactured crisis after crisis, or their refusal to pass any of PBO’s jobs bills. Nor will the MSM take the private corporations to task for sitting on hoards of cash, hiring the bare minimum, just to “hurt Obama.”
Just saw on MSNBC that Verizon is going to help the White House with the ACA computer issues.
Congratulations on the new pup Chips. Just look out for your dining room chairs if they are made of wood, the front door, the deck etc.
My black lab loved chewing on all that as a pup and now that he is six years old, he still slips back into the habit every once in a while.

Can we please get on to the next shiny object? This one has passed its sell by date. Surely there’s something that the media can feed us. Nothing too catastrophic, but maybe a teaser like, oh….I don’t know, PBO has a hang nail and it will threaten his re-election chances.
Rise and Shine!
Good morning all fellow TODbots. It’s a beautiful clear crisp fall morning in MT. I am seeing if I can post again. Have been having problems with posting here. There are days when I haven’t been able to post.
Good Morning Chips and Danny. What a team. He’s the cutest blog tyrant I’ve seen; he’s the only blog tyrant I’ve seen, but still the cutest. He definitely needs a stylus with those big paws and nails. Was he the runt of the litter? Our little runt was really the bruiser. Are you getting any sleep Chips? Have fun.
