What You Missed: Vice President Biden Answers Your Questions on Immigration Reform
http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2013/12/13/what-you-missed-vice-president-biden-answers-your-questions-immigration-reform
I don’t mind the snow outside. Living in Southern California I haven’t seen snow for ages and I would love to see some real snow. But this falling snow on the screen, constantly changing direction, is making me very, very dizzy. And I’ve only had one glass of red wine!
Well, Chips, when I wrote that I had just finished a glass. I am now on my third glass and It’s getting hard to tell if it’s the wine or your falling snow that’s disorienting me. Then again, it may be a combination of: wine+age+Chips’ falling snow, that falls every which way.
Snow or no snow, you are still wonderful in my book. You bring so much joy, fun, humor, and knowledge to all of us here at TOD. A quick shout out for UT! She must definitely be my soul mate if she can’t stand this zig-zagging falling snow. I hope you are having a wonderful Friday! I am sure that by the time I see the bottom of this fine CA Zinfandel wine bottle I doubt that the snow will still bother me very much. I am ready to dance along with it. In any case, TGIF! I can just sit back and enjoy my self.
Nathkatun, I wish I could sit down with ya and share that bottle, you’re a bunch of loveliness!!! (PS Snow’s switched off, it’s safe to come out again!)
” I wish I could sit down with ya and share that bottle…”
That would have been absolutely wonderful! Me and GGail still owe you a nice bottle if California Red (or white) wine! Whenever I am not terribly busy I always make sure to enjoy a good bottle of CA red wine.
I seriously do….I do 2 hours on Sunday, too. 7 days/wk of work…what was I thinking? :) Taking next weekend off!! I deserve lots of drinks, don’t you think?
Just based on your great response JO’B, the push back on Twitter must have been abundant and brutal if she felt a need to “explain” herself….worthless though that explanation was.
Thank you, thank you, JOB for that perfect response to this pathetic woman, posing as a journalist/pundit. She seems hellbent on projecting her seemingly miserable life on POTUS and FLOTUS. She not only needs to STFU; but she also needs to get a life. I am now absolutely convinced that of the “Seven Deadly Sins,” “Envy” should be ranked #1!
On the contrary. JOB! I want to encourage you even more to keep exposing these unethical journalists. I just love how you, and the other TOD twitter warriors, push back against the media BS! Media people like Kantor and Gregory never imagined that there are smart people, like you, who see through their propaganda games. Thanks to the social media you have venues to call them on their Propaganda BS. Please keep on doing what you are doing. You are doing a wonderful job! You are refusing to allow the unethical media to have the last word about TRUTH.
And Chips expects me to make sense! Well it’s Friday and I don’t have to make sense when I am just enjoying my self. On top of that, some friends are coming over an hour from now (well my niece just cooked a wonderful meal) and they are bringing more wine. Pray for me. Thankfully, I don’t have to go work tomorrow.
Enjoy!! Botlhale Boikanyo is either 11 or 12 years old… Either way, she is wise beyond her years. She won “South Africa’s Got Talent” in 2012. Enjoy her poem for Madiba.
James Andrews to lead second line in honor of Nelson Mandela Sunday
The passing of former South African president and global human rights icon Nelson Mandela on Dec. 5, 2013, prompted a massive outpouring of heartfelt remembrance and mourning worldwide, as millions celebrated his formidable legacy…
And now, he’ll be sent off to his rest New Orleans-style…
I’m mad I’ve got to work, so I’m going to miss it.
Chipsticks, I am going to DESTROY you for making snow cascade down the screen. I’m trying to write while blocking the snow.
If I get nauseous and begin copiously vomiting like last year, you better say bye bye to Danny because he will be taking a very long trip and will belong to Stamford Bridge.
Wait until Meta gets here and then you’re truly in for it. It makes her nauseous too.
OK, I’ve been out most of the day and then I came here about 1/2 hour ago and my stomach still hurts. Decided to peek back in to see if it had stopped……….OOoooorrrfffffugggg
I am waiting to see Jodi Kantor and David Gregory fired for their comments - ah - I forget - they are white and they lied about the first family - media people are only fired when they tell the truth about Sarah Palin.
99ts, Welcome to the U.S.A. media! Attacking and denigrating President Obama and the First Lady is now the necessary right of passage to the cult of the elite U.S.A. media. For our elite, so called mainstream, media, exposing the idiocy and the lies of right wingers like Sarah Palin, is not kosher.
A GUIDE TO THE HOUSE REPUBLICAN DO-NOTHING
CONGRESS: 113TH CONGRESS EDITION
WHAT THEY DID
· SHUT DOWN THE GOVERNMENT: After lurching from manufactured crisis to manufactured crisis, the Republicans shut the federal government down for 16 days – taking $24 billion out of our economy and furloughing more than 800,000 federal workers.
· VOTED TO REPEAL THE ACA: The GOP voted nine times this year to delay, defund or repeal the patient protections and budget savings included in the Affordable Care Act – bringing the total to 46 dead-end votes in a Republican-controlled House.
· UNDER THEIR LEADERSHIP, SUPPORT FOR CONGRESS BOTTOMED OUT: The average approval rating for Congress in 2013 plummeted to 14 percent – the lowest annual average in Gallup’s history. According to a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll, 51 percent say THIS Congress is “one of the worst” congresses ever. Also a majority of Americans now view the Tea Party unfavorably – a shift from when the “movement was fairly neutral in 2010… today they hold a more negative opinion than ever.”
· REACHED HISTORIC LEVELS OF DO-NOTHINGNESS: House Republicans have outdone themselves in one area: inactivity. In the first session of the 113th Congress, the GOP-led House saw fewer bills signed into law than in the first session of the 112th Congress, the previous Do-Nothing-ist Congress in history.

Great tweet, Chipsticks! This Jodi Kantor is really a piece of work! She can pretend all she wants, but her visceral hatred of the Obamas is so plainly obvious in all her writings about them. She really can’t stand the fact that they are in the White House. She certainly has one of the worst cases of ODS! I wonder what she will write about after Jan. 20th, 2017.

No Spin!
thank you, thank you very much. :-)
You are HIGHLY welcome!! :-)
Yo Admiral. Isn’t it about time for some snow?
Your wish is my command Shipmate ….. but I am going to lose sooooooo many TOD friends over this :???:
I used to love the snow - but my computer is getting old - overheats with continuous “things” and the snow is winding up the fan as I type
Yikes! Will only turn it on for short blasts 99ts, it has the same effect on other TODers’ computing machines!
appreciated - sadly it is also highlighting the reality that computers don’t seem to last more than 3-4 years (this one is vintage 2009) - planned obsolescence is alive and well in computerland
Huh! 99ts ~ time for an iPad!! Fun to useand fast for TOD! ;)
I am years behind technology MP - about 2020 I’ll be checking iPads (well the alternates - Mr 99 not an apple man - at all)
What say you? TODers with no Christmas spirit? Bah! Humbug!
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…
Yes indeed!
Hi, nospin - Congrats on 1st.

I went to the WH petition site and looked at the gun violence petitions. I saw more gun advocates petitioning the govt vs. not.

 That is BRILLIANT Jacqueline!!!
VC and I were looking for some holiday exercise tips!
They are my kinda tips, J!
Ha!
I am glad that the snow that I am seeing is on my screen and not outside.
I’ve got both here, and this is the only one I love!
I don’t mind the snow outside. Living in Southern California I haven’t seen snow for ages and I would love to see some real snow. But this falling snow on the screen, constantly changing direction, is making me very, very dizzy. And I’ve only had one glass of red wine!
“I’ve only had one glass of red wine!”
Are you suuuuuure nathkatun7????
When UT arrives there will be war, it makes her nauseous!
Well, Chips, when I wrote that I had just finished a glass. I am now on my third glass and It’s getting hard to tell if it’s the wine or your falling snow that’s disorienting me. Then again, it may be a combination of: wine+age+Chips’ falling snow, that falls every which way.

simply beautiful. I love the snow.
SNOW!! Evening everyone….have to catch up, then going to drink and chat and drink at a friend’s house:)
DF later tonight:
Hehlsooo TDo fD heeeeere ghic ghdqgdug3fufdywvdhwedvwvdwhvdywev
No:) I have 3 hours of tutoring tomorrow…I need to be tiptop! I’ll just be “happy”…that should do it!
Gulp, three hours tomorrow? DF? You work waaaaaay too hard!
I seriously do….I do 2 hours on Sunday, too. 7 days/wk of work…what was I thinking? :) Taking next weekend off!! I deserve lots of drinks, don’t you think?
Only just catching up with that thing’s latest bile J, what a perfect response - hats off!
Thanks so much. Maybe I should have asked her where she grew up, and tell her we want black and white, matte photos of it. What a loser.
She’s poisonous Jacqueline, pure bigoted bitter nasty poison.
Maybe we should stay away from her, and enjoy our Christmas decorations and the snow while they’re here!
Love your response. :)
It was puuuuuuurfect Symmetry!
Thanks. I was inspired by her utter stupidity to try to “clear” herself. Yuck.
Just based on your great response JO’B, the push back on Twitter must have been abundant and brutal if she felt a need to “explain” herself….worthless though that explanation was.
Yes, I believe I heard she got a nice amount of pushback. Cringeworthy.
Don’t encourage me, nath. (Ha!)
Yes, there does appear to be an epidemic of envy since Jan. 20, 2009. Glad none of us “caught” it.
On the contrary. JOB! I want to encourage you even more to keep exposing these unethical journalists. I just love how you, and the other TOD twitter warriors, push back against the media BS! daaammmmnnnnn Jackuelineoboomer will.cut.you. hahahhahahahaha Go JOB
Ha. Seems I’m getting an … uhm … bad reputation.
Must be my (proud) New Jersey roots.
Perfect response, Jacqueline!!
Am debating with myself whether I should …….
Do it! (Said the evil twin on your shoulder.)
Is it too early to put up the TOD Xmas decorations?
No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 Done, Layla!!
Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!! TY soooo much! I love xmas decorations!!!
Chipsticks, I prefer Xmas decorations over the dizzying falling snow that keeps changing directions!
:-) Mission accomplished!
Ah, Ms Chips, we’re back to the emesis-inducing white dots ;) I see nath is suffering the consequences ….
Well Bob, after three glasses of Zin, I was actually beginning to enjoy watching the falling snow.
 Make your flippin’ mind up nathkatun7!!
Believe me at this point I am not sure which is which. The bottle is almost over.
One is never enough nathkatun, I sincerely hope you have another one. Damn it, it’s Friday!
Three glasses? I’m waaaaaaaaaaaaaay behind!
Enjoy every moment of it!
Love the snow, but if it hurts computers oh well

Oh, I would love so much to be there. If you run across any videos, would you share a link? Thanks.
Since it’s Christmas and I love unions, I’ll lay off Chris Hayes on this one. But I’m guessing this was the only group left who’d meet with him.

After this, I’m gonna look for good news on a Friday night!
Where the F… is the snow. Chips did you turn it off?

Man up. Is this their blog or yours. Take charge.
NO, NO ,, give me back the snow! Look, I live in Huntsville, AL and we keep getting teased with the threat of snow, and then, …… nothing, just cold rain, dropping temps! This may be the only snow I have all year and I LOVE snow!
Please no - it does horrible things to my computer & makes some folks nauseous. We never have snow in my world - and for that I am very thankful.
Exactly what I was trying to say earlier japa, diplomacy and mediation only exist for other people. Real people solve their problems at gun point.
KaBooooooooooooM!!…

Layla, Bob, you guys are simply brilliant! I also think Jodi Kantor is trying to outdo her fellow NYT columnist, Maureen Dowd!
I see the santa hat cartoon picture that doesn’t look like PBO is back. I know! Boos and hisses on me! I finally figured out who it looks like! A grinning Duane ‘The Rock’ Johnson. Which is not a bad thing at all, but….it’s not PBO.
Things are turning UGLY on Twitter for Jodi Cantor…Oooooooo weeeeeee…
The American press just cannot live with the fact that the Obamas have CLASS. They are great at their work and there are no scandals in their lives. Their children are beautiful and smart and courteous and they all love each other fiercely. So they have to find fault where there is no fault. It’s pathetic trash they are doing their best to manufacture so they’ll have something to write about or talk about on their hideous talk shows.. To think that we once revered the NYT or the networks. Pure garbage.
You reap what you sow, Jodi.
Hope and Change vs Reap and Sow!
Yep.
Although I don’t use social media - I find twitter a delightful place to see the reality of media lies. The internet is forever and the “white privilege” is displayed for what it is.
“White Privilege”…
I suspect that it will be on display tomorrow on MTP,,.
Jodi Kantor just can’t help herself…but she will be exposed tomorrow…just as she was exposed today.
Well - maybe - I’m sure David Gregory will nod the head sagely & overtalk anyone who says anything against Cantor - but would be nice if I am wrong
“De Blasio said it was “inspiring to hear our president, his concern for what we are facing, his understanding of the problems of our city,” he said.”
So different to the GOP and their views on city problems.
Without reading the story, you can see the respect incoming Mayor de Blasio has for our President, by the way he’s sitting ramrod straight in his chair and hanging on his every word.
