I just saw Grand Theft Issa on MTP this morning trying to get out from under the bullshit he tried to dump on the Obama Administration concerning Benghazi. Gregory and Lady Greenspan actually tried to defend the O-Administration, poor Issa, when you’ve lost the high ground to Gregory and Lady Greenspan it might be time to reevaluate shit.

Cruz Set to Renounce Canadian Citizenship
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has retained legal counsel that he says “is preparing the paperwork to renounce the citizenship,” the Dallas Morning News reports.

“He expects to complete the process in 2014. That time frame jibes with predictions from Canadian legal experts.”

    That’ll “fix” everything, Ted! SMH

      December 29, 2013 at 11:37 am

How does a person renounce their citizenship, their homeland, the place of their birth? Forget about for a second that this is all about running for the Presidency, but from the viewpoint of having pride in the place you were born. I was born and raised in Miami Florida, I’ve seen with my eyes Cubans and Haitians flying their flags with pride. One can move to another country and make it their home without showing contempt for the country they were born in.

Shows his true character then, doesn’t it? It’s all a means to an end in his mind….he has no allegiance to his country of birth…it’s a hindrance now….the people that support him will HATE the fact that he was born in another country….you know that.

I notice that a lot of the conservative blogs are touting the story (originally sourced at Brietbart) that PBO loves “Duck Dynasty” and allows Sasha and Malia to watch it. As Bob and others have indicated, this story may be exaggerated or completely false, but it says something that these conservative outlets that don’t like PBO are using him to garner support for their show. If their readers (who are largely conservative, Republicans) read that PBO loves the show, wouldn’t that make them not want to watch the show? I’m may be missing something but it makes no sense to me that they would care whether or not PBO and his daughters watch their stupid reality show!

P.S. I don’t care whether or not Willard watches my favorite shows on TV.

    • 51 africa
      December 29, 2013 at 12:13 pm

Hi Hope. Reminds me about how PBO is supposed to be this “Other” person, but the whole GOP party looking for a clone of him. These people are sick.

And, me, too. I don’t care whether or not Mitt watches my favorite shows on TV.

“… but the whole GOP party looking for a clone of him…”

        EXACTLY, africa!

Does Ted Cruz let his kids watch Duck Dynasty? Let’s hear it from Breitbart.

Hate is the opposite of Love.

Rubio and Cruz got Loads of Love for the TBGOPers were looking for their “Barack Obama”.

Remember that until 2004…….the GOP had hardly any person of color nationally known. Since the election of Mr Obama as US senator, the TBGOPers have been trolling to find their OWN “Obama, Obama, Obama”

      • 54 hopefruit2
        December 29, 2013 at 1:08 pm

Indeed Nena. I couldn’t help but notice that Willard is still stalking the President a whole year and change after the election. On Christmas eve at 10:41AM, the BarackObama’s Twitter account sent out this message with a pic of Bo:

        // “Barack Obama ‏@BarackObama 24 Dec
From this family to yours, have a peaceful Christmas Eve. pic.twitter.com/nfPOEni3xk” //

Some hours later that same day at 2:48PM, Mitt Romney’s account followed with this message with a pic of Willard, Miss Ann and all their grandchildren (of course they won’t post a pic of a dog for obvious reasons).

        // “Mitt Romney ‏@MittRomney 24 Dec
From our family to yours: Merry Christmas. cc: @AnnDRomney pic.twitter.com/DqbB6La6E1″ //

 Willard will forever cry his heart out. They believed US owed them the presidency. They lied. They cheated. And 5M more said: Hell No. Love it. Watching Fox on Nov 6, 2012 for 10 mins was great. The 1st time I tuned in to Fox sing Aug of 2009.

      December 29, 2013 at 12:45 pm

HF2, please excuse my language on a Sunday, but this is a crock-of-shit. First no one reported it on TOD…so therefore, number one reason not to believe it. Secondly, they think that they are using reverse psychology (on their audience) in that if PBO loves the show and allows his daughters to watch, then why is the left outraged. They make me want to puke.

      • 57 hopefruit2
        December 29, 2013 at 1:00 pm

LOL! Your language is just fine in this context, WilTal. Now I didn’t say I believed the story, and thus further illustrates my point, which is the notion that these conservative outlets need to make up or embellish a story about PBO’s “endorsement” for their self-validation.

While I think your second point is quite accurate, the alleged comment by Robertson that “It’s great that Obama thinks…” suggests something along the lines of a need for validation by the President (even if unwittingly so).

A while back I shared here about an 80-something year old Caucasian woman I encountered during my morning walks. I thought for sure she was GOP, (in my neck of the woods majority are) until she and I started stopping and talking during our walks.

Anyway, I have not walked consistently in a long time. But this morning, as I was walking, she came across my mind. I wondered how she was doing. Then, Lo and behold, about 15 minutes later, I ran into her. We stopped to catch up.

Then she started talking about a Christmas party she went to. She said it was a small party, but most of the women there were wealthy. The conversation began with #Obamacare, she said. Suddenly, another woman, 86, very wealthy, turned to her and said you voted for him, you ought to be ashamed. She said she believed her face turned very red, because she was upset by how the woman approached her. She told her, “Last time I look this was a free country.” She said that’s all she said because she was in another person’s home and did not want to ruin the party for anyone.

But I could tell she was still seething as we talked, She all but said that Obamacare was a moral issue, something I just saw tweeted by Charles Blow. She said to me, this woman is 86 years old, she is rich, her daughter is married to money, they don’t care about anyone else but themselves. She had a few choice words for Congress.

She agreed with me that a lot of it has to do with PBO’s race. “What else could there be,” she asked.

I gave her a hug because I could tell she was getting upset about it as we talked about what the woman said to her. She said she wishes people would read more and find out stuff for themselves.

We talked about a whole bunch of other stuff about PBO, but I thought I share this piece.

    • December 29, 2013 at 12:50 pm

We never know a person until we walk in their shoes do we? It was great you were there to talk to her. Talking helps a lot. Believe me in Wyoming we have to suck it in a lot. Even relatives are disgusting, about half and half probably. Keep walking, weaklings good.

Q&A: Why unemployment benefits expire for 1.3 million on Saturday

    By David Lauter

    ———————————-

Backers of extended unemployment insurance scoff at the idea that the benefits deter people from looking for work. The problem, they say, is jobs remain hard to find. Some evidence suggests that companies discriminate against people who have been out of work for a long time.

As for the cost of benefits, supporters argue that by injecting money into the economy, unemployment benefits spur growth as recipients buy goods and services. The economy remains weak, they argue, and if anything, the federal deficit for the next couple of years should be larger, not smaller. Federal Reserve Board Chairman Ben Bernanke made that point in a recent news conference, saying that fiscal policy was too tight and that the economy would produce more jobs if Congress eased up in the short term.

The Des Moines Register is featuring a huge long tale about a diabetic Ia. grandmother who claims she is going to end up uninsured, is “totally screwed” because of ACA, is “up the creek” and about all her difficulties in trying to get info and enroll, with article stating that 16,000 Iowans are going to end up uninsured etc. etc. etc. Not till we get to the comments do we get to any real truths, about how Repub governors, who refused medicaid expansion, were the real culprits in totally screwing up their citizens. Hopefully, all of these bumps in the road will eventually get evened out.

“Of course its easy for Shelby to say this now that he doesn’t have to depend on television management for his paycheck. What he’s basically saying is that he and his fellow anchors sold out to a business that sold out a long time ago. And as long as we are stupid enough to believe and respect them for it, they’ll continue to sell us out.”

The Truth is that more than majority of the Nation are NOT respectful of the Presenters/Anchors yet their behavior and actions in News Reporting have gotten worse.

Polls show that the News Media is as low or even lower in approval ratings than Congress. Many of Us ask, write, demand for better outcome, but crickets. WHY? Advertisements keep the 6 corporate Media afloat. Print saw their demise as ads went down. TV, Cable and Websites would not make a change until BBC or AJAM like News Network become a dominant ratings bonanza.

Nena, I would also add…”until advertisers wake up and realize that their only audience is the dreaded 65 and over demographic.” I think the big turn off of television news is with younger viewers, which means the future is not bright for those selling anything but retirement cruises and arthritis medication.

    http://www.politicususa.com/2013/12/29/darrell-issa-hid-truth-benghazi-year-attacking-president-obama.html

It is an unfortunate human trait to look for some kind of moral wrong or legal malfeasance in specific events to incite general public outrage either to benefit someone or to cast aspersion on someone else. Shortly after Republicans won a House majority in the 2010 midterm elections a corrupt Republican, Darrell Issa, promised his only job as chairman of the House Oversight Committee was to have “seven hearings a week, times 40 weeks” investigating the Obama Administration when the 112th Congress began. Issa was desperate to find a scandal to take down President Obama and has investigated everything from the 2009 federal stimulus program to fabricating President Obama’s part in the scandalous Republican government shutdown two months ago.

Issa has wasted taxpayer time and money for three years looking for Obama Administration scandals he subsequently never found, including the tragic deaths of 4 American diplomats in Benghazi Libya on September 11 2012.

We are having a wonderful weather here in SoCal aren’t we HZ, GGail, LL, and Tally? The new year will bring healthcare to the masses and people will not have to stay on jobs they hate, there will be an increase in new businesses, folks will be saving thousands in their healthcare bills which means there will be an increase spending and savings. If those MSM pundits/mannequins/newstainers thinks PBO had a bad year in 2013,,,,2014 will be the beginning of big things that no other president has been able to accomplish just like with heathcare. We will see comprehensive immigration and a DEM house/senate majority.
