Love the pictures.
I see everyone else has gone to bed – so I sneak in first?
I enjoyed it to the full!
Ah well, I have the place to myself. Might as well stretch out, grab a snack and relax.
Might as well top up my wineglass!
Hello there, MP, have some cheesy puffs with that wine! I think they’re Chips’, but she’s not around so…
Congrats on 1st Mary!!
Yes, and as “Father in Chief” he has taken care of the fundamentals better than most any other President, and, in terms of health care, exceeded ALL his predecessors …

Bobfr, I think 2014 is going to be a good, good, year. Praise God for a president who believes in reconciliation, and in pushing forward at every opportunity, who’s got political courage to spare. I am amazed at what he has accomplished, and the changes that are coming. We are so blessed to be alive in the transformational age of Obama.
Cheesy puffs! Just the thing!
Knew my shopping list looked a wee tad bit odd!
Welcome, Bob, have some cheesy puffs and sit a spell!
Very gracious of you … and cheesy puffs are just what I need to give me a bit of energy before I move to the kitchen to prepare dinner
They make the perfect aperitif.
Hello maryl1, congrats on first.
Thank you! Make yourself at home!

Thanks, Bob. It’s great that they all worked together. Congressional Republicans could learn a lot from lionesses.
Good night all!
Congratulations maryl1 for being #1!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Congratulations on 1st, maryl1.
I remember pics of GWB with kids, and he always seemed so ill at ease, but kids take to PBO—holding his hand, hugging him, hanging onto him, and smiling a lot. My dearly departed parents and grandparents used to tell us that one way to tell whether an adult was a good person was to watch how kids reacted to him/her. If this is the case, PBO is the “Kids’ Choice” president. How could anyone not like this wonderful, kind, compassionate, thoughtful, vibrant individual? IMO, if one doesn’t, s/he doesn’t know what s/he is missing. I believe history will reflect well on PBO. I can’t wait to read the first book he writes about his presidency, and the first book written by a reputable historian. Notice I said “reputable” because I do believe the nut jobs will still have the long knives out after he leaves in 2017, and I refuse to waste my time reading anything they write about him.
When you mentioned how uncomfortable GWB appeared to be around kids, I couldn’t help but think how Mitt looked – you’d never know he had so many of his own, since he looked as though he thought he might catch something if he held them more than a second or two, away from his body.
On a lighter, healthier note, these images are the best. We all know there are a gazillion photos of our President with children from all over the world, and of our First Lady when she’s dazzled children, and those are spectacularly indicative of their great hearts and warm ways. Love them both.
With all these terror attacks, bet putin boy wishes he had nsa’s help and tips.
OMG. Just got done watching the last of Season 4….have Season 5 to watch now….it’s blowing my socks off! Definitely need to discuss when we’re all done watching this
Look at the Father In Chief:) Isn’t he something wonderful?!!
I have two more episodes of Season 5 to get through and I will be officially done with Breaking Bad. Happy yet sad at the same time because it’s been a fantastic ride.
Season 5 blew Seasons 1 – 4 out of the water. They packed punch after punch in each episode. The last 8 episodes will have your jaw falling to the ground.
That’s what my family tells me, UT:) My daughter and husband have both seen all the rest of the series and my daughter has been re watching it with me…. She told me to hold on to my pants! I’m in for a wild ride! I’ll start tomorrow…I think I have to get through 16 episodes for Season 5…is that right? OMG…not enough time in the day! We’ll definitely chat about this when everyone’s done…
I have 6 more episodes to watch. I will record and rest my mind. I need a break.
Obamacare just might net its 7 million sign-ups wapo.st/18TOsps— Katrina vandenHeuvel (@KatrinaNation) December 30, 2013
This past February, well before HealthCare.gov opened for business, the Congressional Budget Office made a prediction. The nonpartisan agency projected that the federal exchange, alongside 14 state run Web sites, would sell 7 million people insurance policies in 2014.
The number quickly became the political benchmark for the health law’s success or failure, a ruler by which to measure the success of a largely unprecedented insurance expansion.
But what seemed impossible in October suddenly became a lot more plausible in late December. This weekend, new enrollment data showed approximately 2 million Americans signed up for private health insurance plans since the start of open enrollment. Health policy experts now see a space to get to 7 million — although it’s by no means a guarantee.
“October and November were essentially lost months,” says Larry Levitt, senior vice president at the Kaiser Family Foundation. “December is the first month where we’re getting an indication of how things are working. It’s starting to track with what people, particularly the CBO, projected originally.”
“It was a very impressive December,” says Dan Mendelson, president of health research firm Avalere Health. “The fact that they have about 2 million enrolled is not that far off from 3.3 million.”
My prediction? About 5 mil by 31st March
Oh, that made me laugh. Went to R/T this, and found that ol’ Katrina has blocked me. I must have done something right before tonight!

Thanks, JOB. I wish everyone could see this. It’s not tolerable that the US in 2013 has so many willfully ignorant adults.

Bob, I missed the slander, but am so impressed with the work of CAI as described in the article. How can such a positive development warrant slander?
Thank you for bringing attention to the work CAI is doing. I donated to the program. What did 60 minutes accuse Greg Mortenson and CAI of doing?
