Let’s just say – any photo of anyone romping in the snow, even my beloved First Family, is not enjoyable to me.

Chicago’s average snow fall by this date: 16.8 inches. Snow fall so far this season: 45 inches. And Mayor Emanuel just doesn’t bother with adequate snow removal. But he was on the news yesterday, touting some gazillion dollar plan to bring more tourism to Chicago. How about salting and plowing some side streets and fixing the craters in the roads that are ruining our cars?

He closed 50 public schools this school year and announced 7 new charter schools yesterday. Hey, I can argue both sides of the education/teachers’ union issue in Chicago. But to close 50 public schools and then open charter schools (which have checkered records of success) is what I expect from RW thugs, not a Democratic mayor.

    He’s been a real disappointment.

Brian Shackman just said Arizona does observe MLK jr day to the only AA left in the Az Legislature…who is leaving due to term limits.

Az will have zero AA’s after she leaves……

He also said well, there are only a little over 4 % AA there anyway.

Actually, I just think they are both classless punks. Has nothing to do with race. However, Sherman has far more talent than Bieber.

      • 25 Nerdy Wonka
        January 23, 2014 at 12:02 pm

Sherman graduated from Stanford with an almost 4.0 GPA. Does fantastic charity work, explained in detail why he yelled, apologized, the reporter who was interviewing him, said he had every right to yell. It was a post-game interview. When you speak to players for a post-game interview, I don’t expect them to be spouting Shakespeare.

Justin Bieber is NOT in the same class or rank as Richard Sherman. Justin Bieber feels his privilege gives him the right to do whatever he wants to do and break laws without consequences.

Richard Sherman did not break any laws. He was loud during a post game interview. 99.9% of footballers do the same.

You are so right about Bieber, he is heading down a dangerous road, and his Mom or someone who love him better try reaching out to him before it’s to late.

          January 23, 2014 at 12:40 pm

I agree about Sherman. Right after the big play and seconds were ticking off the clock, Sherman ran over to Crabtree with his hand extended to shake his hand. Saying ‘Hell of a game to Crabtree…’ Crabtree did not shake his hand…worse…he shoved Sherman in the face. Soon after that, Sherman was interviewed by Erin Andrews. To say the least, emotions were high. He did not curse and he was not mean to Andrews. I really don’t know anything about either player but Sherman is getting a bad rap in this situation.

Bieber has been going downhill for a long time. At least this time he was arrested. He reminds me of Lindsay Lohan, a short stint in jail or rehab won’t change him.

            January 23, 2014 at 1:59 pm

I saw when Crabtree shove Sherman in the face. I think Sherman could have handle things alittle different but I don’t think he is a thug, and deserve all the racists bull that he received.

WELP! Got a call from the cancer center this morning. My doctor sees potential breakage in my lower lower spine (my left sacrum to be exact). So she wants me to do a follow up with that xray doctor again (the cute one I mentioned before). Nurse told me to take it easy and don’t do any jumping. I told her I haven’t jumped in months. Thinking about it now, I literally have not jumped, ran, skipped or engaged in any jarring movements in a year. I’ve already had 2 surgeries on my spine. Really not looking forward to another.

    sigh.

Justin Bieber’s father helped facilitate the insanely stupid moves of his son that landed him in jail … TMZ has learned.

Sources familiar with the situation tell us … 38-year-old Jeremy Bieber was not only present when Justin was arrested early Thursday morning … he was one of the people who helped block off the residential street so his son could drag race.

It’s even worse … Jeremy was in SET nightclub just before the arrest with Justin and was around him all day, when the self-confessed little pothead was smoking weed.

As we reported … Justin admitted that he was under the influence of Rx drugs, alcohol and weed at the time of his arrest … and Justin’s dad was right there in the mix.

Hmmm. Will this be part of the CNN Special ?

I was just watching Gov. O’Malley give his state of the state address here for Maryland and I have to conclude that we have to find away to push past the media perception that is going on about all these Republican Governors throughout the US. One after the other the beltway media is touting these bozos and if you take a look at their states they have been virtually ineffective. Contrast it with Hickenlooper (CO) O’Malley (MD) Brown (CA) Shumlin (VT) Cuomo (NY) Malloy (CT) etc. etc. They all have balanced budgets without decimating the middle class. They have enacted policies that lift up their citizens and vastly decreased the UE rate in their states. You barely hear a peep out of the mainstream media about the work these Democratic Governors are doing. Its all about Walker (WI), Christie (NJ) Jindal (LA) Halley (SC) Perry (TX). These are their rising stars that get rammed down our throats day in and day out and what exactly are they accomplishing in their states?

Meanwhile, O’Malley has made Maryland one of the more progressive states in the Union. Same sex marriage, The Maryland Dream Act, Repealed the Death Penalty and this year he is proposing a minimum wage increase. He isn’t the only one. Jerry Brown is doing some phenomenal work out in CA as well. But we get no fanfare….that all belongs to the Republicans according to our media. #GottaStartSellingOurAccomplishments

O’Malley will not run for President if Clinton does. They are BFF’s. This is my only issue with him is that he is really, really close to the Clinton’s. He endorsed her in 07 when everyone else in this area endorsed PBO. I think he will only run if she doesn’t.

I don’t think that he will declare any support until after the nomination process. He’ll raise money for the party but that’ll be it until we know who our nominee will be. It will be interesting to see how his supporters react if HRC does get the nomination and he goes all out for her.
