Mooooooorning Jackei and Nospin, moooooorning everyone!

      • March 15, 2014 at 10:58 am

Thanks for the terrific R&S. Love the picture of Danny. So very handsome. I rescued a chihuahua on Monday. I know you know how busy puppies are.

        • March 15, 2014 at 10:59 am

Ah Jackie, you’re the best for rescuing a dog, I hope you are VERY happy together!

          • March 15, 2014 at 11:03 am

He is a trip. My two Poms don’t quite know what to make of him yet and he isn’t sure what to make of the cats. They are bigger than he is.

            • March 15, 2014 at 11:05 am

Aaaaaaaaw! Goodness, how many animals have you Jackie? I’m struggling with one!

            • March 15, 2014 at 11:13 am

I have 3 small dogs and 4 cats. I live alone so the cats have their very own room with shelves they can climb on. I let them out in the evenings and some on the weekends. The dogs have the run of the house and a fenced back yard. They are in and out through the doggie door all day. It is a lot to keep up with because of the hours I put in at work but they give back so much to me. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

              • March 15, 2014 at 11:19 am

Now that sounds like the perfect family to me, Jackie! I’d give anything to have a doggie door, but with my fella it’d be the size of the actual door soon enough. You’re a wonderful owner, you’re giving them a lovely life.

                • March 15, 2014 at 11:39 am

It works. I had a St. Bernard who passed away almost a year ago and obviously the doggie door was not an option.

                  March 15, 2014 at 11:41 am

We also have a doggie door and a fenced in backyard. The doggie door is in the door to the sunroom, and goes directly to the backyard. We now have only one dog, but when we got the doggie door we had three. It was such a boon.

I know many people are scared of the doors because of possible critters coming in, but the only critters we’ve had come in have come in the mouths of our dogs,(only twice) and those were quickly dispensed with. Ours has a panel we can put in for safety if we want to keep Chanel in for any reason. We have only one dog now, but we have had up to four. Each dog we have had has just given SO much and enriched our lives incredibly. Glad you have your four footed fur babies in your life, J4O. Chips, I think your Danny makes up for at least three!

                  • March 15, 2014 at 11:45 am

No matter your pet size or preference, the unconditional love and affection you receive is extremely rewarding.

                  • March 15, 2014 at 11:46 am

Ha Carolyn, he does indeed make up for at least ….. five! Oh, that doggie door sounds terrific, I love the idea of a dog being able to come and go as he pleases – and also me not having to open and close the door every five minutes!

Just imagine what the media would say if that was the President – seems a white republican can do no wrong in the eyes of the pundits. President Obama well learned the rules that every male black teen has to learn.

I love Labs. Actually almost all dogs. Not a Cat person. Good day folks have work to do will be gone all day and Sunday. Have a wonderful weekend.

Super great R&S, chips (and Danny if he helped, which I’m sure he did). I still laugh every single time I watch the Between Two Ferns, and I am into the high double digits in viewing numbers by now. I keep noticing new amusing tidbits—–like the piece of fern (from one of the Two Ferns) lying haplessly and fittingly on the floor, the masking tape securing PBO’s mic and at Zach looking at his watch as he portrays himself as restless and bored when PBO launches into his health care spiel. That whole thing was the gemmiest of gems, and all the critics know it.

    • March 15, 2014 at 11:36 am

Oh Dotster, I’m the same, can’t stop watching it – and like you said, you spot new little things every time that leave you in stitches. Zach looking at his watch has me in tears – but it all does!

Phew! All is well, but do be careful with the coffee table there! Antiques, you know? I totally agree with you though.

BTW, your climbing off coffee table comment made me laugh because it reminded me of the safety video we had to watch EVERY new year at work, and we had to sign the safety form that we had watched. We all called it the ‘ladder’ video because its basic message was not to climb on anything but a ladder/step stool, and it provided so-dumb-they-were-hilarious examples of people falling off chairs, etc. etc.

        Just checking in now, VC
It wasn’t any rumor of 1/2 hearted support.
it was DWS talking about fixing the ACA. That is tthe definition of less than full-throated endorsement.

        • 142 vcprezofan2
          March 15, 2014 at 2:58 pm

I got that from the original discussion here; I know you were angered by her comments. I didn’t hear her so lacked the right ammunition with which to share a more meaningful ‘smarten up’. However running into her tweet seemed like a good opportunity to signal to her that her public approach needs work.

Debbie’s earned at least our giving her the benefit of the doubt, but we’d all like to see her step up her game, of course. The ACA is a BFD, on a par with Social Security and Medicare – and really the start of better coverage to come!

          • 146 vcprezofan2
            March 15, 2014 at 2:41 pm

Agree to both points, hence my effort to be ‘diplomatic’. I am annoyed when Dems of any stripes do not unequivocally support PBO in public, but I also don’t like snarking on them in public (not that we have much of a choice). Old school me always remembers the not washing dirty laundry in public adage. If only Dem pols would bear that in mind, especially when they have a leader who clearly welcomes input!)
