Really, the pundits seem to think OFA is some conspiracy of political theorists which will have no effect this November. If PBO’s victory speech over ACA and his NAN speech are any indication, gloves will be off.
Agree. From what I’ve witnessed of President Obama these past several days, he is way beyond ‘fired up’ and the #KOCHSTERS are going to get paved.
So adorable. Well …..both of them !

Good comments on the article
“So the military wannabes come out of their caves and kick a dog. How heroic.”
Even when he’s not at eye level with the babies, PBO marshalls their attention anyway, just by being himself!

Trust the corrupt bw clown to manipulate the graph. What is the reason for years going backwards? Because the general public normally associates a rising trend-line as a good thing.
Yeh I noticed that
I mean, my math skills are legendarily awful, but even I remember that a graph counted UP, not DOWN.
Yup. There is no reason whatsoever l to show this graph this way.
Another manipulation is to show the bigger bars in red and smaller ones in blue.
cilizza is a scum.
There’s something about that baby sitting right there on that seal looking up at POTUS as he gently reaches for her precious little cheek. Wow.
How cool would it be if she grew up to be President? :-)
If not her, then some child that PBO has inspired (and who’s photo has captured our hearts). Of course, if that happens, the #Newstainers will side by side a pic of Clinton/Kennedy along with the Child/PBO pic…
I’d love to be around long enough to see that.
Not the newstainer part, of course! :-)
Me, too. And when the #newstainers start the stuff, I pound them on social media of the day…

"Marian Anderson Sings at the Lincoln Memorial" Newreel Story via @UCLA youtu.be/XF9Quk0QhSE— Dudette (@Dudette9t9) April 12, 2014
Dudette, my 6 year old Mom was there in 1939; on Easter Sunday, 2009, I had the privilege of taking her to the 70th Anniversary Commemoration.
Oh what a treat that must have been Alycee! :-)
It was. There were Musical tributes, speakers and new citizens were sworn in on the steps of the Memorial.
What a fantastic memory for your mom to have. And what a day that would have been in 1939. Marion Anderson singing at the Lincoln Memorial is one of the reasons why I loved Eleanor Roosevelt. She was a fighter for justice and civil rights long before her husband was.
Hi Jackie! Saw your msg earlier today. Dinner was ok; about 400 in attendance. Rob McCord and Allyson Schwartz attended and worked the room. Our county dems DIDN’T endorse Gov nor LT.
While we had a nice turnout, it was a missed opportunity; our chair is out of touch. He bragged that DelCo is NOW BLUE — big f’ing deal, we went Blue in 2013 and DID NOT elect even one county-wide dem. Not mentioned: SCOTUS decision on campaign finance; Meehan’s vote yesterday FOR the Ryan budget; Meehan’s vote AGaINST paycheck fairness; the 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act — all important stuff that he could have easily gleened from the last 10 days of the newspaper or google. Fact of the matter is, the 400 in the room are going to vote DEM — he needed to fire up the folks to get out and pound the pavement.
Voter registration ends April 21st — not one word about conducting voter registration drive. I’m a firm believer in conducting drives year round, and turning up the pace BEFORE the election; if you can get newly registered folks to vote in the primary, they are more likely to vote in the general. We need new leadership in my county.
Alycee, glad you got to see McCord and Schwartz. I wish I could like Schwartz, but every time I’ve seen her, she has acted aloof and cool with people. Of all the candidates running, she’s the one who never bothered to even set foot in our county. Our leadership is also suffering because there’s a changeover in June and everyone is arguing about who will replace the current chairman. I absolutely agree about continual voter registration drives. That’s why I wrote a ‘welcome new Dems’ brochure to be sent to every newly registered Dem voter. Also, we’ve noticed some crossover to the Dem Party by Republicans. I don’t know if they want to vote in our primary or if they’re disgusted with the Rs. Since we’re a red county, there’s no personal advantage to them from registering D.
So, tonight’s menu:
Broiled top sirloin, with garlic salt and seasoned pepper
Asparagus, sauteed in sesame oil, garlic, and soy sauce
LL, I saw a recipe today for a vodka martini, up, with a tiny splash of equal parts olive and pepperoncini brine. I have no clue what that all means, but it made me think of you!!
MP, the ONLY TRUE MARTINI is with gin, which, in Winston Churchill’s famous aphorism, waves across the room to the vermouth
I love that she cared about beautifying our country.

Israel has imposed sanctions against the Palestinian Authority (PA) in retaliation for its signing up to join international treaties, officials say.
They say taxes collected on behalf of the PA will be frozen, with limited access to bank deposits in Israel.
Palestinian chief negotiator Saeb Erekat condemned the move as “Israeli hijacking” and “theft”.
It is the latest in a series of steps by both sides which have strained US-led peace-making efforts.

Can’t help themselves “despite the mistakes” – so RW congress fought tooth and nail – to the Supreme Court and beyond – yet the media comes up with “despite the mistakes”
What is should say is – despite the congress, despite the SCOTUS, despite the hate, despite the plan in 2009, despite the GOP’s best effort to vote for death over healthcare – but the media liars could not go there – because – the GOP would call them “leftists”
@CapehartJ- here are the real despites

despite the 2009 plan

And I left out the worst culprit of all, the gop shilling media.

BTW, did you see my latest poems?
This is how my thoughts go … I saw the first (very sensitively written, and I enjoy hearing what’s “in” your mind) yesterday and a few hours ago (when I was late arriving here) I wondered if you had posted the other(s). Then I ate a popsicle or something.
Would you have a link handy?
Sir. “Petite Madeleines”
Now take this for what it’s worth, because poetry is subjective and who am I to review a poem, but that poem is COLOSSAL. Really. Wish I had written it. Already sent it to a friend, who will appreciate it as much as I have. To me, a poem like that is meant for everybody, because each one of us can feel a line or two from our own experiences and pleasures. You want to cry, and laugh, and remember Mama, and hug somebody, and sit back and roll around in it, in your head.
You may just write poetry for yourself, as I do – in other words, to get it out and release it – but are you considering getting all of these published? I know you are writing the novel, but what about packaging up your poetry and letting the masses see it? Maybe you’ve already done that?
Oh, ma’am, thank you.
Yes, the poetry I’m writing now is with a purpose. I hope to collect it and publish it. That along with the novel is consuming me.
Consuming you “in a good way,” of course!
Bravo. More, please.
Nite TOD! You make the world alright!! God Bless President and Mrs. Obama, and keep them Close to His Heart! ;)
