<3 x 2
Is there a way I can reach you? email maybe….
There is Carol, the address is firstname.lastname@example.org. Advance apologies for my slowness in replying, I’m usually, oh, six months behind with blog email!
Thank you. What I want to discuss is important. I will write you tomorrow…It’s about the President.
MP! Congrats! Funny short Chips. Thanks. Now how can I shut my eyes and just listen. Not even gonna try. Never got away with lying, never will. . . <3
No one shall challenge my furst-ness-ship ~ morally, universally, theoretically, or eternally, as long as this thread lasts!! :)
PBO was also remembering when he roasted Trump’s arse – that’s part of why he couldn’t stop laughing there for a while…
I’m relieved he can laugh about it Hopefruit, the whole thing still makes me physically ill.
Indeed Chips – it does makes me sick thinking about it. And I also detect a whiff of disgust in his laughter here…
Me too HF, he laughs it off brilliantly, but there’s a steel in his eyes – and laugh – when he does it.
If PBO is ever looking for for his birth cert, I happen to have it on a very special coffee mug, safely tucked away in the top of the closet!!
Careful there. Trump will send his investigators to retrieve it.
CRAZY IN ALBUQUERQUE!
What’s going on? :/
Enjoying cold IPAs after major !YARD WORK! today. Unseasonably warm here. Hitting the 80s mid-April is weird. Yes, the weather is known to be great here, but this is weird. Should be in the 60s. Nice except for the hideous climate change future consequences. Also relieved that the DOJ came down hard on our OK CORRAL police department. Long time coming. OH! You were probably just saying hi! Sorry!
No, I really want to know. . .
I find ordinary lives exceptionally interesting. We had a beautiful morning, around 60 degrees and in the afternoon it clouded over and now it’s started to rain. Snow is predicted. Our NE WY weather has always been unpredictable since ’77 anyway. One April it was as hot as a July and no rain. It was green for about a week before it dried up and turned brown until the next spring.
That’s all I know. . . ;) CarolMaeWY reporting. . .
Off Air AMK!
that wasn’t just some crazy stuff, that was Pure bred Grade A Bull Shyte.
The pic of LL has made the evening so grand! No more wondering whether a guy can have a brilliant mind and be easy on the eyes. So, now you’ve done it, LL. You may have started something… Off to dreamtime goes MP. Kitty has already turned in, but the sky is still light! So amazing, this huge, yet tiny fragile planet we share. Let us all take care. Eclipse coming. Be ready. <3
That laugh is so infectious. It’s the only way he can survive, to laugh at himself and all the crazy stuff now and again.

Hopefruit2, you are a riot! I had to retweet.
I used to follow him but I had to stop. Couldn’t stand reading his dumb, defensive tweets about the GOP.

Maybe it’s me, but I don’t think I’ve seen the outpouring of thanks and love that Kathleen Sebelius is getting on Twitter before this for anyone … from all quarters … makes me so happy.
Dear Kathleen Sebelius, feel free to hang your "Mission Accomplished" banner in Boehner's office on your way out. #Obamacare #ThankYou— Matty Ice (@MattyIceAZ) April 11, 2014
Thanks for sharing this Jacqueline. This makes me happy. She really, really deserve it. When all is said and done, only the media will remember the website, but real people who got healthcare will remember she and PBO.
She was a good sidekick during all of this, mostly because she maintained her poise and didn’t get dragged into the media/GOP antics. Love her!
Yep. THe ABUSE she had to take in those hearing in Congress… Nearly as bad as what Eric Holder has been submitted to.
Well, sure, successful woman, successful black male. What else would those RWNJs give them BUT abuse.
I totally love this tweet! I think Kathleen Sebelius has been a wonderful Sec. of HHS! To use the U.S. football analogy, She may have started slow in the first quarter, but she won big in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Even more impressively, her and her team were truly dominant in the 4th quarter; especially the final two minutes. We should all be marveling not only at the impressive come back but at the total domination in the 4th quarter. Only in modern U.S. journalism, dominated by media pundits, with 2nd rate intellects, do people focus on deriding you about how many points were scored against you in the first quarter, instead of praising you for your steadiness and determination that made it possible for you to mount an impressive come back and win the game decisively. In any game, what ultimately matters is not how slow and badly you started the game. What ultimately matters is your steadiness in eventually winning the game. Kathleen Sebelius, as the quarterback of the HHS team won the Health Care game decisively. Under her leadership at HHS, more than 10 million Americans, who previously had no insurance, now have insurance. Of course the ultimate credit goes to the coach, President Obama, who rallied the team and refused to allow initial hardships to distract the team from its ultimate mission. I am proud of my President who refused to listen to the voices of doom and groom and all the calls to fire this exceptional public servant.
1. You might wanna turn this into a letter to the editor.
2. My favorite part: “In any game, what ultimately matters is not how slow and badly you started the game. What ultimately matters is your steadiness in eventually winning the game.”
3. All that sports talk for a woman who’s been a lifelong member of Athletics Anonymous was exhausting.
I kid! Well done, nath. Thanks for pouring out your heart on this, on behalf of not only Kathleen but our wonderful President Obama! You rock.
Thank you so much JOB! I deeply respect Secretary Sebelius. To blame the totality of her public service, because of the technical glitches at the launch of the ACA, was, in my opinion, totally overboard. I am so happy that She was able to end this part of her long public service as a winner. You were probably a bit younger than me, but I can still remember both the euphoria and the constant demonization of Medicare when it was signed into law in 1965. I am sure that 50 years from now the ACA will join the ranks of SS and Medicare as one of the most transformational law in American history that improved the lives of people.
Thanks also for you suggestion about “a letter to the editor.” I stopped subscribing to my right wing Republican paper 10 years ago. I now read it at the library, as I do most papers. Our right wing paper, the SD Union-Tribune, rarely publishes letters from liberals.
Well, then, don’t waste your important words on the SD Union-Tribune! Many will see them here, that’s for sure.
Wow. Anybody near this?

Wonderful, wonderful, tweet AMK! Democrats could really benefit from your talents! You always know how to go to the heart of the matter.
Ok. Anyone else tuned in to c-span watching the N.H. ‘Freedom Summit’? Good Grief!! Check out the audience!
Eek. Now I see what you’re watching. Glad I missed it.
The raving randian runt is in full cry. He was preceded by the trumpster. Kack!
Oh No! Now it’s cruz!
Well, I have had enough. My ears are bleeding, my eyes are melting out of the sockets and my brain has frozen solid.
These guys are just crazy. That is all, folks. Heads for a closet to sob into the darkness.
Whatever you are watching, I am glad to be so uninformed! No sobbing in the darkness for ya! We have normal people “on our side.” Celebrate!
Thanks for the support, jacqueline. Just can’t believe some of our fellow Americans can be this sick.
I almost wish we had our heads stuck in the sand like they do, so we wouldn’t know they exist.
They’re just evil personified, and I never like to use the word evil because it reminds me of W. Another EEK.
Triple EEEEEK! Huckabirdbrain is spewing now.
I saw some funny comment about him earlier on twitter – wish I could remember it now to cheer ya up!
In the past, I used to watch all that type stuff, just to see what they’re up to … but I reached my breaking point a long time ago.
I’m gonna need about a gallon of whatever LL is dringing!
drinking. Needs more alcohol. LOTS more!
LL, are you there? Woman on Aisle 7 needs a gallon of whatever you’re drinking!
Now you got me! I’m all cheered up, JOB! You are a treasure!
Awww. Right back atcha. All of us Obots are treasures! Ha.

Absolutely, Alycee. They’ve given 2 hours to these guys to spout cutsie personal anecdotes about their darling, precocious, politically involved kiddies. You know, those good old chips off the old block. I just don’t get it.

You needed it! Glad you found it soothing!
All better, JOB. All I need now is for LL to arrive on aisle 7 with that gallon jug! Think I’ll head for my blankets instead. Good night you treasure!
Sleep well you treasure!
My 20-something granddaughter asked me if I wanted to watch 12 Years A Slave with her tonight. I told her I couldn’t bear to watch that (I can’t handle any of it at this age – more so with watching what current-day President Obama and so many other good people are still putting up with). She just came into the room looking ill. She said she had to finish once she started it, but it was making her physically sick. Thank God she gets the fact it all happened to real live souls, and isn’t afraid to watch to give credence to the fact it isn’t just a buried story and still has incredible meaning to all Americans.
Good child. I can’t watch it either – but I’m glad someone has told the story.
I put off watching it too, as I knew it would anger me, make me ill and even haunt me (and it indeed it did all of those), but finally I found a way to go. This story HAD to be told and because of that I decided to honor the work of the artists, craftspeople, and technicians who brought it to the screen, by seeing it before it left theaters. It was awfully hard to watch, but I’m very glad I saw it. It earned every bit of that Best Picture award unquestionably.
I’m glad another generation has heard it. (I’m still trying to get over the “Roots” of my younger life!)
Yes, I’m still haunted by “Roots”, too.
Granddaughter just finished the film. I asked for a recap of the ending, and she got through telling me. I asked who were the best actors and she said “All of them.” She’s drained!
She said she was going to stay awake for a bit and at least start watching another movie – something lighthearted – just so she can get to sleep!
Goodnight, theo. Sweet dreams when you get there.
What a comfort to know that all of these good people are out fighting the good fight for all of us – and the world – while we sit in our comfortable homes. Big thanks to Amb. Power for making us proud!

““Ukraine is the target of military aggression. Sabotage operations are coordinated and directed by special services of the Russian Federation, while local criminal structures act as the organizational core [of these operations]. The Russian strategy entails organizing subversive attacks on government authorities, aimed at provoking armed conflict. They need victims that would allow anti-Ukrainian propaganda to mobilize peaceful citizens of Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts [regions] for protests. Ukrainian authorities succeeded in stabilizing the situation in Kharkiv, Odesa, Mykolayiv, Zaporizhzhya, and Dnipropetrovsk. In Donetsk, instead of the earlier 5,000 to 10,000 strong rallies, only a few hundred people have come out to support separatist statements today.
There is no uncertainty on our part. Rapid response forces have been deployed to their positions. The Crimean scenario cannot be repeated in the eastern oblasts, because the Ukrainian border is controlled by the Ukrainian military, who will open fire in case of a foreign invasion. We will not give up a single inch of Ukrainian land in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. Our goal is to avoid casualties among civilians, whom the bandits use as live shields.”

#TrustBarack … and please honor how exceptional Ukraine’s leadership is responding to Tzar Vlad’s War on them – totally unprecedented in history.
Before departing, just had to note how admirably and honorably these folk are …
“Order in the East will be restored peacefully. We will not surrender Luhansk and Donetsk, and we will not spill the blood of Ukrainians, despite the wishes of the foreign aggressor and his attempts to stage a civil war.”

I just got back from an incredible jazz concert with guitar greats, Chuck Loeb, Norman Brown, and Earl Klugh! They were amazing!
TY @EarlKlugh @Norman_Brown & @ChuckLoeb for a slammin' "Night of Guitars" @FerstCenter ATL #HellaGood #Music http://t.co/w7sWEmnUa6— Dudette (@Dudette9t9) April 13, 2014
I’d only seen Earl perform once eons ago in North Carolina. Never saw Chuck or Norman live! What a treat that was – especially watching the joy and comaraderie between them when they played together. It was a master jam session. They started out with the trio playing, then each artist played a couple of a couple of their own pieces, then they came together an played as a group! After intermission, Earl things off with a solo piece, then introduce the Georgia Tech Jazz Combo (the concert was on the campus). The kids were outstanding and you could tell how excited they were to be onstage with these jazz masters. Then more jamming by the masters, with a big finale tribute to George Benson.
My hands still hurt from clapping so hard and long! What a show!
The gentleman playing keyboards for Earl, David Lee, used to tour with George Clintion/Parliament/Funkadelic (quite a switch in music styles). He played a bit of “Atomic Dog” that got everyone the howling with delight! :-)
It was neat observing the guys different personalities onstage.
Chuck Loeb, the quirky, funny story-teller
Norman Brown, the satin-voiced showman
Earl Klugh, the sweet, shy nerdy professor.
Chuck and Norman both got the crowd scatting to their songs (ala George Benson).
Loved them all! :-)
The guys played a rousing rendition of Toots Thielemans’ classic “Wives and Lovers” together. Here’s guitar legend Wes Montgomery workin’ it!
Found this gem — Earl playing with two of his idols!
This says it all! :-)
