VC, I am in that club. I poured my heart out to you on the last post. And once again…….everybody is gone!
I just have come to accept the fact that whenever I post, it is time for a change.
If you have a minute please backtrack.

      Hello everyone!
Thank you for the truth and nothing but the truth here.
I do not watch, read or listen to anything or anybody else.
      Thank God for our President.
I am so looking forward to our First Lady eulogizing Maya Angelou on Saturday.
The tears are starting now. We are so blessed to have this couple in the WH. I am going to savor every minute in spite of the hate.
      Again, we rise!

          O dear, poor Karen!

Matthews is another one I have always found quite distasteful and I could never watch him, even when he was being factual. The sight of this well-known anchor not able to control himself enough not to spit at people totally grossed me out.

I’ve seen him in action a couple of times and was unable to watch more that a couple of minutes. I found him disrespectful of his guests – talking over them, spitting all over, and generally profiling as someone with little self-control. Not my idea of watchable ‘theatre’.

Tonight my husband turned Chris Matthews “Let Me finish” on. He said “Let’s see what dickybird has to say.” (That is now his name for CM.) At the end he said…..”well, what was that about….that was a lot of nothing. She’s likeable?” It really was ridiculous……he closed with, I hope if you ever get a chance to meet her and talk with her you will see how totally enjoyable and likeable she is.” Oh dickybird……and this is your political acumen????

      Hi carolyn,

chills up my legs Matthew opened up with; I am not Hillary’s advisor but she is going to be the next President because she’s wonderful or some crap. Then he said, everyone is ready for a woman President. It seems to me that this is all there is to her, she is a woman; tell me what she is going to do for America. He refers to her as Secretary of State Hillary, my question, so what is John Kerry?

He is drinking her koolaid like there is no end and I want to know why?

Chips, Glad to see you back home. (PS.) I sent you an email the other day, were you able to read it? If at all possible could you post that on the thread for the WW11 D-Day? It is an article on by 93 year old Uncle that took part in that operation. I am very proud of him. He is was a corner stone in my life growing up. My Mon’s younger brother. And still is. WE always had long talk on politics, I was so overjoyed when I took a trip back from TX in 2008 before the election to find out he loved then Senator Obama and planned to vote for him. Wooot!! I drove from TX with signs & bumper stickers all over my car. It was a hoot going through TX, OK, KS, MO, IA. :-)
Going to TX on the 19th-24th for my Grandson’s graduation from Seabee Cadet Training. Should be fun. I t think it is in Austin. Headed for Killeen, TX first tho.

Let’s see could it be that she wants a repub controlled house in 2014 because they will cause much damage and she can fly in for the rescue in 2016

        • June 5, 2014 at 9:37 pm

Any person thinking that way, Layla, is certifiably insane and the person who will prove that to be the case is President Obama. The worst thing that can happen to Ms Clinton is for her to think that President Obama, with zero elections remaining to win, and with all the skill he has demonstrated these past 5+ years, wouldn’t be capable of defeating, resoundingly, a R controlled 114th House.

She might as well forget that! Unfortunately, Bill Clinton will go down in history as the second American President who was impeached by the House of Representatives and almost removed from office by the U.S. Senate. For the record, 50 Senators, including his now great friend John McCain, voted to remove Clinton from office. Moreover, McCain’s close partner, Lindsey Graham, was one of the five House members who prosecuted the case for impeaching and removing President Bill Clinton from office. Bill Clinton’s place in history will forever be tarnished by that impeachment. May be Clinton loyalists, like Diane Feinstein, want to see what happened to President Clinton happen to President Obama.

If every American had a chance to actually see the president answer that obnoxious reporter, there would be no faux controversy and no doubts about what was done. But his statement will be hidden and only GOP hysteria and the complicit media will get attention. The President of the United States and the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces should not have to fight to be heard. But that’s the sorry pass we’ve come to.

I wish sometime President Obama would end one of these press conferences with a big “Suck on that.” Why in the heck he should even have to explain anything is beyond me. I saw that segment of All Up where he showed conservative tweets then and now. I would love to get film footage of all of them talking out both sides of their faces. Put it in a commercial and show people what idiots are running for office. The biggest fool of all being John McCain. He is one person who should keep his trap shut.

It has to be prime time, Bob, and it has to be direct and live so that it can’t be edited and spun. There ARE people with common sense and compassion in this country as well as millions of parents and they would ‘get it’ if they actually heard the truth.

  27. June 5, 2014 at 9:42 pm

I don’t like HRC. No, I don’t. She’s a backstabbing opportunist. I’m now convinced that she only took the SoS gig to burnish her credentials for 2016. She has loyalty to no one but herself. Yes, I’ll vote for her in 2016 if she’s the nominee. But she won’t get my money, or my volunteer hours. And I will heartily support any viable candidate against her in the primaries.

Simply as a matter of ‘closure’, such as it is, for those who were around last year when a member of my family drowned here is a part of the news report in the local paper. (We won’t mention the fact that no one called me to update me on this. My offspring spotted it in the paper and drew it to my attention. He is more upset getting the news this way than I am; probably because I’ve lived with my family longer?)

    //………………………………..

…………..parents settled a lawsuit with the homeowners [the homeowner was a police officer] ……….. would not disclose how much money the family received, …. she did say the sum was less than $1 million.

“Nothing, no matter how much money, can pay for my son to come back,” ………………..

The Crown’s decision — citing concerns over the threshold of criminal neglect — went against that of the investigating officer, which was to charge the family.

Documents obtained by yorkregion.com last week also show the Boyles’ version of events about what occurred on that fateful evening has inconsistencies.

According to Mr. Boyle’s statement to police, he greeted Robert Robinson at his front door at about 5:40 p.m., only to send him back home to get his swimming trunks.

He added that after one of the other children at the party asked about Robert’s whereabouts, his wife, Jane, called the Robinson’s home to ask if he would be attending the party, however, no one answered and she left a message.

“He just never came back,” Mr. Boyle, who lives only blocks away, later told police.

The couple said they never saw Robert again until they discovered his lifeless body at the bottom of the pool at about 3 a.m., after taking a late-night dip.

This version of events is in stark contrast to that of the Robinsons’, who say their son left the house before 6 p.m. with a pair of trunks in a plastic bag and never returned.

The family also insists no message was ever left at their home.

A boy at the party also disagreed with the Boyles’ version of events, saying he met Robert inside the home and even helped him find a place to change.

The coroner’s investigation states: “(Robert was) seen by one of the children, who assisted him to the bathroom, where he changed his clothing into swimming trunks.”

Later discovered at the house, according to the coroner, was Robert’s shoes inside the front entrance and his clothes inside a plastic bag on the floor, close to the back yard entrance.

It continued that an examination of the invitation to the party showed “no note or inference” that the party was in the back yard with a pool or that it was a pool party.

Hi vc – the older we get – the more realistic about family – but that aside – there is no money that can replace a child – so I do wonder why we ever go down the paths of always suing someone – to me a criminal charge of negligence is more important than a financial settlement – although I accept that many may disagree.

Crown prosecutors always seem to demand 100% video evidence before they will prosecute in such matters – I often wonder if it is ego – they do not like to lose – or cost in a world where money overtakes the law in many different ways.

      • June 6, 2014 at 1:19 am

Evening, TS. Yes, I feel as you do re choosing to persecute re a child. Parents chose this path in an attempt to try and get clear answers. No charge of negligence was forthcoming (couldn’t prove – they said), and the stories from L Enforcement were conflicting. Plus there seemed to be delay in getting hands on autopsy report. It might not have been my choice but I don’t fault them for trying. I suppose when hurt we reach all out for resolution of some sort.
