Night owl chat – Hugger-in-Chief

In my 44 years (almost 45), I’ve never seen a President console and uplift as much as Barack Obama. A tribute to our Hugger-in-Chief.

We truly are going to have to tell the First Lady how grateful we are to her because it’s obvious from President Obama’s comments tonight he has decided to turn the 114th Congress BLUE and we know the First Lady will be spreading her magic throughout the land from now until the polls close on 4 Nov 2014.

LL, I am very upset by this action taken today to just tell the student loan holders exactly what you expressed in this tweet. I went to twitter to express best I could my sentiments as well. We need to continue to remind all student loan holders of this so that they will help us get rid of these vile people in Nov.

I will keep reminding all as part of one of the many duties that I have taken on. We will work together to spread the word on the haters.HZ

Our dear friend Spandan is on a roll today!!

Accusing Obama of “Groupthink”, Dana Milbank Exposes His Own
    Spandan Chakrabarti June 11, 2014

Today, Dana Milbank of the Washington Post published a column, titled, Obama is a prisoner of groupthink. Hillariously, Milbank is completely oblivious to his own beltway media bubble as he pens this hitpiece filled with inaccuracies and cheap shots. In fact, a better example of beltway media groupthink rarely surfaces.

Milbank’s theme centers around the Bergdahl release – as yet another example of the media-generated fiasco – and his postulation that the Obama administration’s handling of it in the press and in Congress is a result of what he terms an “incestuous arrangement.” He argues in it that President Obama surrounded himself by yes-men who in some cases lack the independent thinking to challenge the president, and in others, the courage.

Irony, thy name is Milbank. Not only is he completely and demonstrably wrong about his assertion (more about that in a few paragraphs), in his zeal to play whack-the-POTUS, Milbank has fallen victim to his own special kind of groupthink prison, known as the beltway media complex.

Indeed SUE. I am so upset, but I know we all have each other and we do have PBO’s back. I watched the hearing held by the House with Sec. Hagel, and I was so angry that I almost tore up my home. The GOPers were disgraceful; however, Sec. Hagel held his own. He was very upset with these fools.

I pray for his strength everyday. We will lift the entire Cabinet up daily with our meditations and prayers. HZ

This is our opportunity to be unrelenting in holding America’s WAR CRIMINALS responsible. Thanks Bobfr – what they have done & continue to do has devastating impacts on the people of Iraq – and those same people who so wanted to go to war, scream against helping with the massive number of refugees who have no safe place in their homeland.

They planned this – with absolutely no thought of what would happen in Iraq – other than how they would get the oil. The thought of living through decades of war – as in Iraq and Afghanistan is just too horrible to put into words.

The Obama administration cemented the trade to release Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl only a day before his June 1 release, a top Senate Democrat told reporters Tuesday. “They knew a day ahead of time that the transfer was going to take place,” said Sen. Dick Durbin (D—Ill.). “They knew an hour ahead of time where it was going to take place.”…..

“It comes with some surprise and dismay that the transfers went ahead with no consultation, totally not following the law,” Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), chairwoman of the Intelligence Committee told reporters a week ago. ****On Tuesday, Feinstein struck a different tone. “I think we need to put an end to all of this now,” she said. “I think enough is enough. I think the Senate has had a hearing and the House has had a hearing,” she said.*****

Thanks Dianne! We can always count on you to give credibility to GOP attacks before knowing the facts……

Well, anniebella, she is one of mine; and I did let her know what I thought of her actions. I am one to hold back when I know that our senators are more interested in tv time than getting their asses on the phone and going face to face with the president, if they are so concerned. I have no tolerance for what Sen. Feinstein did in this case.

I also called and expressed my thanks to Sen. Boxer who seem to have a more level head about the matter. I do not believe that we need to work softly for any of our senators especially when they are doing face time on the tv shows to score points at President Obama’s and the American people who really do care. Call them out.

We must act together to make our voices heard. Feinstein knows better., and I do not hesitate to tell her so. HZ

    Subject: A Wife story

An old farmer had a wife who nagged him unmercifully. From morning ’til night she was always complaining about something. The only time he got any relief was when he was out plowing the fields with his old mule.
    He plowed a lot.

One day, when he was out plowing, his wife brought him lunch in the field. He drove the old mule into the shade, sat down on a stump, and began to eat his lunch, his wife began nagging him again. Complain, nag – it just went on and on.

All of a sudden, the old mule lashed out with both hind feet, caught her smack
in the back of the head. Killed her dead on the spot!

At the funeral several days later, the minister noticed something rather odd. When a woman mourner would approach the old farmer, he would listen for a minute, then nod his head in agreement; but when a man mourner approached him, he would listen for a minute, then shake his head in disagreement.

This was so consistent, the minister decided to ask the old farmer about it.
So after the funeral, the minister spoke to the old farmer, and asked him why he nodded his head and agreed with the women, but always shook his head and disagreed with all the men.

The old farmer said, “Well, the women would come up and say something about how nice my wife looked, or how pretty her dress was, so I’d nod my head in agreement.”

“And the men?” the minister asked. “They wanted to know if the mule was for sale.”

this story told from wimmin’s pov.

A woman was leaving a convenience store with her morning coffee when she noticed a most unusual funeral procession approaching the nearby cemetery. A long black hearse was followed by a second long black hearse about 50 feet behind. Behind the second hearse was a solitary woman walking a very mean looking dog on a leash. Behind that were 200 women walking single file.
The woman couldn’t stand her curiosity.
She respectfully approached the woman walking the dog and said, “I am so sorry for your loss, and I know now is a bad time to disturb you, but I’ve never seen a funeral procession like this. Whose funeral is it?”
The woman replied, “Well, that first hearse is for my husband.”
      “What happened to him?”
The woman replied, “My dog attacked and killed him.”
She inquired further, “Well, who is in the second hearse?”
The woman answered, “My mother-in-law. She was trying to help my husband when the dog turned on her.”
A poignant and thoughtful moment of silence passed between the two women.
      “Can I borrow the dog?”
      “Get in line.”

Thank you JOBoomr for hitting Chuckie little one. What makes Chuckie thinks that he know how the President feel. Chuck is another one of those trash talkers with no credibility at all except in the toilet.

I ask daily that movement would be on all those haters of PBO. And when my best friend called me(we have been prayer warriors since we were 19 yr. or age; I screamed so loud that I think my entire neighborhood almost called the police. I did have the tv on or computer at the time of the announcement.

My best friend and I had been praying daily Ps.37 in our own private manner. I never gave up or will not even on some movement for the coming mid-terms. Something else is going to be shaken up.

I know this may sound strange to some, but I believe privately in my heart how it works for me. I have sat during my quiet time and anytime of the day and cried out to a higher Force of the Universe to allow my energy to be decent and in order but to give grace where grace is needed. I have prayers where I have stained the papers where I write my prayers for goodness of movement to remove some of these obstructionists people in Congress. I will continue to ask for that goodness to be done for the good of this decent and good president. I also realize that things may not happen when or how I may think my energies are moving; but one thing I do know from my living on this earth; good things do happen when and if we act with persistence in our supplications.

I am not insane, but I do have a sense of what is vile in the actions of people;and I will not give up hope, faith, and love in my goodness state of mind for the goodness of people lives in fairness and justice. PBO is a good and decent man who has a core that is of goodness.

Yes, I cry when I pray, but it is not weakness, but it is a fullness of having an instrument that is not in tune, and I just know that there is a tuning fork out there in this vast Universe that is waiting to be called upon to do its work of goodness.
I am so grateful that Eric Cantor is gone from the space that is close to our president. I continue to pray and meditate on more to be remove from office. Who got in is another prayer. Prayer is still alive in my soul and in my home.

      Good night my beautiful TOD family. And thank you LL for this post. May we all give a hug{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{ PBO and Administration}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

        Beautiful, inspiring words, HZ.

I could literally feel this part of your message: “Yes, I cry when I pray, but it is not weakness, but it is a fullness of having an instrument that is not in tune, and I just know that there is a tuning fork out there in this vast Universe that is waiting to be called upon to do its work of goodness.”
